Request for restoration
Hi, You've deleted Maher Baker without nomination, the page subject is well known and verified by IMDB and Google and there were many citation links in the page talking about him, did you had the time to check the links?HitomiAkane (talk) 18:14, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- HitomiAkane, Dragonfly asked me for a second opinion. I have restored the article as I don't think it could be speedily deleted. I also question whether this qualifies for an article (is notable in Wikipedia language). I think there's a good chance someone else will nominate this for deletion and it will get deleted through a longer process. Nearly all of the current sources are not reliable independent secondary sources. Please consider adding these (sources can be in Arabic or English as I think you know but say just in case you don't). Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 04:34, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

Patrol question
Hello DragonflySixtyseven. Was asked on my talkpage today by another editor if I could please patrol two pages they created. One already was handled by someone else before I saw the message, the other was not. Feels a little iffy to me, especially because it's a company page, but as the page in question has been lingering in the patrol queue since early December, I can get the frustration. However, company pages are very much not my forte (more of a taxonomy gal, myself) and while I can easily check the more obvious stuff (not an attack page, no copy-vio, categories are in place, stub tag is in place, while tone could use some work anything blatantly promo has been weeded out as far as I can see), I don't really have much experience with notability beyond the most obvious cases in either direction in this area, nor with what are or are not important awards in this particular sector. My gut says "borderline notable", but my relative inexperience with company pages combined with having been explicitly asked to patrol it makes me hesitant to click the "reviewed" button. I'd really appreciate a second opinion on this one, and since you're one of the more prolific, and recently active, patrollers, well, here I am. AddWittyNameHere 04:18, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

DYK edit
I'm curious, what is your reasoning for this edit? Are you seeing something the other five editors involved in this DYK are not seeing that is worthy of overriding the decision made by those involved in the DYK process? The reason you provided in the edit summary comes dangerously close to WP:NOTCENSORED, in my opinion. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 00:58, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- I read the discussion at the nomination. None of you realized that saying "a pastor was denied entry for his controversial beliefs" could all too easily be parsed as "and therefore he is a victim who is being oppressed" ? DS (talk) 01:03, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Hi PCHS-NJROTC, I'm sorry, but agree with DF's thoughts on this. I noticed this too, was a bit concerned, and noticed DF's revert (hence why I'm here). I just read through the nom discussion and it turned from a very generic, non-controversial statement about his founding of the NIFB movement (the primary nom, and the first two ALTs) into a seemingly non-neutral statement about the subject much later in the discussion (looks like around 9 days into the nomination). Specifically, the connotations in a religious context are strong, and probably should have received more careful attention to ensure neutrality. In addition, there seemed to be only one outright support statement for the ALT 3 version of the DYK. I'm not sure this really was vetted carefully enough. Also, I'm not sure where the "five editors" come from. You self-nominated, Psiĥedelisto supported, then Yoninah promoted, that reads as three to me. The rest of the process at DYK is pretty much automated/rubber stamping. I'm sorry that this ended up more problematic that you were probably hoping for. I believe that you didn't realize this possible reading of the statement, and that you're just working hard to improve the encyclopedia, so please accept my thanks for your hard work here. As a side note, I also do agree with the concerns that folks had about the primary nom and the two ALTs, there was some good reasoning there, too. Waggie (talk) 01:30, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- I said five editors in reference to the five people who edited the DYK template, hence participating in the process. Interestingly, no one objected to it until after it was promoted, hence why I'm challenging the removal. I have no problem with further discussion, but I'm at a loss as to how a neutral presentation, allowing one to see this man as "a victim being oppressed" or "a horse's ass who nobody wants around" is a bad thing. I think this guy is a horse's ass for reasons that would probably be completely different than the reasons you (presumably) would, but goal of neutral encyclopedia projects is not to demonize subjects regardless of how ridiculous they may be; we just present the facts. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 02:51, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)Thanks for the response! I think we have participation issues at DYK, which sometimes leads to stuff being overlooked (another reason I thank you for your participation at DYK). I should probably get involved over there. I'm not sure how to proceed at this point as I'm honestly not that familiar with the DYK process, it may require a new nomination at DYK, at which I would be totally willing to participate in to help get this back on the main page. Would that work OK for you? Waggie (talk) 03:19, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- Sure! I think this was my first ever DYK, and I'm not very familiar with the process myself, maybe we should ask someone over there how to proceed. At any rate, I'm going to be signing off for the night pretty soon, so... PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 03:24, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- Based on the message at the top of this article's nomination template, it appears there's a process to reopen discussion at the existing nomination if there is consensus to do so, so perhaps that is the route we need to take here... PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 03:27, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

Hey, I came across these articles because I was following up on an AfD nomination for another article creation by the same editor, The Super Pops. I think that this is very likely a case of undeclared paid editing (check the initial editor's profile page's edit history), and the sources recycled between these articles don't seem to establish GNG for any of them. Well, well. I think I see what happened, at least as well as I need to with regular glasses that don't permit to see anything invisible. I see that there was an article and a draft. I was working the queue of drafts with the same names as articles. (Some of those are actually drafts where the title exists only as a redirect in article space. For instance, there may be a redirect for the title of a song to the album article, or a redirect for the title of an album to the artist article. Sometimes the draft is a person with a common name.) I evidently saw that there was a draft and an article, and they were on the same person, so I declined the draft and said to merge the draft into the article. You have now deleted the article because it wasn't ready for article space, and you would probably have draftified it, but the draft is already there. Looking at the draft in more detail, I see that I would have declined the draft. Okay. So we agree that there isn't a suitable article on this person. Well, well. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:58, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
- Draft declined, reflecting your comments. But I see that the author of the draft does not appear to have been the author of the article that you deleted. Is one editor copy-pasting the work of another, or do we have suckpoppetry or mop-peeping? Robert McClenon (talk) 22:08, 9 April 2020 (UTC)
- I can't see the article that you deleted, but a CheckUser and some SPI clerks can. You can decide what to do now. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:24, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

- User:DragonflySixtyseven - The statement by Woerich that they copied a draft to article space and now know that they shouldn't have done that is sufficiently weird as to be a case where truth may be stranger than fiction. I think that we can leave the deleted article alone in its bit bucket and let AFC focus on declining the draft. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:34, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi :User:DragonflySixtyseven I do not understand why Woerich copied my draft and made it into an article. I had no knowledge this occurred, or why he would do this.
This article is very similar to other articles of those in similar fisheries roles (i.e. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_J._Cooke). Would you be able to point out what specific sentences I need to re-write or remove so I can fix it? This biography was done as part of a course for school where we are required to write a wikipedia biography for a leading Canadian conservation scientist. AS part of the biography I mostly used web-sources, but also asked Michael Sullivan via his government email to answer a few questions for information I was unable to find online. I chose to do a biography on him as he is a leading Alberta fishing conservation scientist. Thank you for your help. K.L.Neigel —Preceding undated comment added 19:29, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

Happy First Edit Day!
I notice you recently moved Fake it till you make it to Fake it 'til you make it. I was wondering if you could give an explanation since none was given in the comments on the move or either talk page.
A Google search reveals several times more SERPs for "Fake it till you make it" (as well as Google's algorithm's automatically correcting the other spelling). In particular, reliable sources, such as books and print media on those SERPs overwhelmingly use "Fake it till you make it".
Also, all dictionaries that do list "'til" say it is a non-standard, alternative spelling of "till". Even if that were not so and usage were equal between the two, encyclopaedias tend to use a formal register preferring non-archaic long-established usage over recent neologisms (that aren't even listed in most dictionaries). "Till" has been a word since the Sixth Century making it the oldest English preposition to not change its form.
Thanks in advance, Llew Mawr (talk) 14:25, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
You seem to have deleted. But I do not understand the explanation. Kindly elaborate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sahoo here (talk • contribs) 05:07, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

Deletion of Blue Label Labels Wikipedia page
Hi there!
You deleted my page for Blue Label Labs, citing "notability not asserted" which I understand after more thoroughly reviewing the Wikipedia page on the matter. I attempted to be as factual as possible and purposely avoided adding anything that could be conflated as promotional content, hence the reason I left out anything notable.
I do intend to try again as I do have information that I feel would suffice for notability. If you happen to review this again, please give me as specific feedback as you're able and I will address it in a revision or new page.

Honeycutt
Please forgive me if I don't understand all the moving parts in Wikipedia. I request that you offer details and documentation to support your claims against the page James M. Honeycutt so that I may remove your accusatory template suggesting a conflict of interest. Would a link to his CV hosted by any number of academic institutions allay your fears that the claims on the page may be illegitimate? Thank you in advance for offering details so that we may resolve this issue expeditiously.
Tpmadison (talk) 23:44, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
- Tpmadison, You removed a maintenance template, claiming that you had "fixed the issue", but you didn't actually do...anything. Those templates exist for good reason. That particular template, a COI template, was added to Honeycutt's page because it appears that one of the people who edited it in the past had a conflict of interest with Honeycutt. Perhaps they knew him, or were him, or were paid by him. Whatever the reason, we ask that our editors disclose conflicts of interest, and not edit those articles directly. That's the only way we can ensure our subjects are written about neutrally. That template is not a blight on Honeycutt, but rather the COI editor who edited a page they should not have. Hey! I just saw you deleted Alison Bernstein in a mass deletion action, apparently without even checking the content of the page. We improved the article as a group in the project meta:Wikipedia for Peace/No More War 2020 and there was no reason to delete it. Dust mite allergy
Dear DS,
Thank you for reviewing the article on dust mite allergies. I want to do more in the EN WP because sometimes I'm surprised which articles are missing, e.g. the article about an allergy that millions of people around the world have. I hope you don’t....
One question: is there a way to see which contributor has reviewed an article? Can't find anything, actually it could/should be here, or not?
Thank you and have a good new week --F.Blaubiget (talk) 08:44, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Your input
I have an RfC going on at Talk:Gwar#RfC_about_GwarBar_vs_GWARbar regarding using all caps in an article and would appreciate the input of some long-standing Wikipedia editors who may be familiar with the policy, or at least be able to interpret the existing policy with some clarity. Thanks for your time! NJZombie (talk) 21:46, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

==Lange-- Hi. Greetings.
I noticed you deleted a page I created "Solomon Lange". I must confess I am really disappointed in the action.
In an instance where such an action is to be taken, couldn't you at least send a warning message describing your intentions so one can develop the page further to avoid a delete? We are in a civilized world please. I am really disappointed. Camy (talk) 20:23, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
Questions about review notice
Hello DragonflySixtyseven - I got a notice today "The page Thailand Quality Award has been reviewed". Ok, what does this mean? First of all, it is an article not a page right? I see no note in the history or the talk page of that article that confirms you actually reviewed it. How do people know from looking at an article that it was reviewed? Thanks for reviewing it anyway if it needed review. --Ian Korman (talk) 06:35, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Tar-Baby
Hi,
I just saw your reversion of my edit on this page and was surprised. I'm not a fan of the Saturday Night Live, but I've heard about this skit many times over the years. It may have been just two words, but particular skit is socially significant – and notable enough to merit its own Wikipedia page. I'm not going to make a big deal to object (beyond this message) but you may want to rethink the reversion.

Assistance with an Article for Creation
Hello Dragonfly!
First of all, my name is Calvin, and I am currently working on my first ever Article for Creation! I come to your talk page to ask for assistance with said AfC, and I found your user page by reading the list of active administrators on Wikipedia! I also think I remember interfacing with you in a chat room where I asked for help with this AfC, and you were very thoughtful and helpful. I am here to ask for help with the article for Kurt Kerns (Draft:Kurt Kerns).
The Article for Creation has hit numerous blocks for not passing notability guidelines, and just today the editor that Rejected the draft told me that he was not convinced, and I should try to ask another editor for their opinion. I would love for you to take a look at the page if you have time and let me know what you think! If you look at the draft's talk page, you can see the dialogue I had with the other editor about the AfC meeting the WP:AUTHOR guidelines, and his reasoning for Rejecting. After leaving Gravity Kills, Kerns has gone on to become a notable architect, so I am interested in what you think of that perspective.
Any assistance would be much appreciated, and I look forward to receiving your input. Thank you!

I got it from a friend of mine who had a Rex cat at the time. He just stated it again; I asked him for the source. phma (talk) 03:43, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Trying to figure out where history went
Hi DragonflySixtyseven. I'm trying to figure out what happened with ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. I distinctly recall there used to be an article there for many years and I recall contributing a bit to it, back when it was called ICFAI University. When I look now, I see a new article was moved from The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, with a new history, and I don't see any of that old history. Was the history removed by mistake? --Muhandes (talk) 07:13, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- In 2017, rather than posting an article, you posted a redirect to an ICFAI subsection of the "Education in Hyderabad" article (edit summary: "will serve as a target until a real article is written"), and, indeed, that appears to be where your edits are. Sorry for the confusion. DS (talk) 15:03, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for looking it up. I still recall there being an article, but I must be wrong. Regards. --Muhandes (talk) 16:31, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
