Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kafanchan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page British (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:05, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Gwong people moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Gwong people, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Danjuma Laah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://ngstudentforum.com.ng/p/994/biography-of-danjuma-la-ah. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Danjuma Laah saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.

Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:40, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Musa Bityonɡ has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lacks reliable sources to prove notability. Notability is therefore questionable?

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Megan Barris (Lets talk📧) 16:35, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your concern, sir. But I just created the page and I am still editing it. Please give me some time to update the page.

HELP

[edit]

Please I need help in order to make this page aways appear on the Wikipedia search results.

It seems I used IPA Keyboard to create the name of the page when creating it instead of the generally recognized QWERTY keyboard, hence, the genesis of the problem.

The page is "Musa Bityonɡ" (typed with an IPA Keyboard. Is it possible to rewrite the name, using an IPA Keyboard, instead?

PAGE ID: 64460724 Wikidata item ID: Q97180851 Kambai Akau (talk) 01:47, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kambai Akau, yes it is possible. You can include the IPA name in both the Wikipedia article and Wikidata item. I believe it will be in the Tyap language? Greenwhitedino (talk) 18:55, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Joe El

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joe El requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Mcampany (talk) 05:10, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings dear Mcampany.

I actually got engaged and couldn't provide enough details on the subject matter. The subject in question is a notable Nigerian personality and I would be glad if the page is restored so I can update it and provide enough evidence.

Thanks. Kambai Akau (talk) 21:38, 27 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

copy-past moves

[edit]

Hi Kambai,

Please don't cut the text form one article and paste it in another, as you did with Kamantan people. Doing that disrupts the page history. If you can't move it yourself, please check WP:RM. I reverted your changes, but you're welcome to restore your edits at the original article name (Kamantan) while waiting for it to be moved. — kwami (talk) 01:08, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kwami!
You know it took a lot of effort to have that work done right? I understand what you mean, but there is something you should know. Firstly, I am from this area. Secondly, there is something political about these names; the original name of the people is "Anghan", while the exogenous name is "Kamantan". My effort is to portray a people with the their original appellations which they prefer to call themselves rather than what an outsider, in this case, the Hausa, chooses to call them. I found no way that could be done by building on the article titled, "Kamantan", hence, created a redirect (of course I did do so few years back and the article was closed). If there be a way the name could be switched to "Anghan" without redirecting, as well as bring back the contents of yesterday, I would be most grateful. Camy (talk) 12:46, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Please check the link I gave above. First of all, we go by the names in English. Whether they are "correct" is irrelevant. (After all, "German", "Greek", "Armenian", "Chinese" and "Korean" are all "wrong", but that doesn't mean we're going to move the articles.) In the case of obscure peoples and languages, it might not take much to demonstrate that the article should be moved, but we should still be sure. But regardless, copying the articles into another name is not the way to accomplish that. All that need to be reversed on principle, regardless of whether the new name is correct or not. — kwami (talk) 08:13, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have checked the link and done the needful. Thanks for putting me through, anyway. When I created the page two years ago, I wasn't much savvy as regards Wiki's functionality. But, now I know better. Some lessons are rather learned through the hard way. Camy (talk) 21:56, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Musical instruments

[edit]

Hi Mr. Akau, I just created list of musical instruments of Cameroon and hope to create list of musical instruments of Nigeria after a few months. But first I will need to gather more information. Do you know much about traditional musical instruments in the Middle Belt and Kaduna State? Greenwhitedino (talk) 14:54, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Great work, brother!

Yes, I do know about the musical instruments used in the Middle Belt of Nigeria but, might not have the written source material to back this up.

Among the peoples of Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarawa, Southern Bauchi/Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, Niger states the raft zither ("Zunzwom" in Tyap) is very common. The xylophone (one made with cattle horns are common amongst the peoples of those states too, then the ones made using calabashes of varying sizes (balafon) common amongst those in Kwara, Kogi and Benue states. Although, there may be a mix of both in other states. I think what influenced this choice is the precolonial presence of cattle in those areas from the precolonial/early post colonial days.

There is a project work on the Atyap music (1950 - 2013) available online for download, titled, AN APPRAISAL OF ATYAP PERFORMING ARTS OF ZANGON KATAF KADUNA STATE, NIGERIA (1950 – 2013). The Atyap musical instruments are more or less same used amongst the Central Nigerian Plateau peoples of Southern Kaduna and Plateau states and parts of Nasarawa, Niger up to Niger states. An outstanding instrument is the panpipe, used especially around the Jos Plateau in both Southern Kaduna and Plateau states. The base-sounding pot made with solid aluminium, beaten with a duster-like instrument to produce a deep sound (called "Kimkim" in Tyap) and the gong ("gyigya̠u" in Tyap", "ogene" in Igbo) are much used in the Middle Belt and amongst the Igbo.

The drums used are also of varying sizes. The talking drum is also used across the Middle Belt especially in Kogi, Kwara and Niger states and in lesser proportions in other states. The Tiv use the kakaki which is a heritage of the Hausas, brought in probably during the early colonial period. The peoples in Taraba, Kogi and Benue also use single pipes as the Igbo for making music.

Any other thing I didn't include, please alert me, bro. Kambai Akau (talk) 10:22, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you bro! This is very interesting information about traditional musical instruments of the Middle Belt. I will look into this some more. Greenwhitedino (talk) 10:34, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, bro. You're welcome! Kambai Akau (talk) 23:16, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Lara Sousa

Hello Kambai Akau,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Lara Sousa for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Inasmuchas I appreciate your kindness of not totally deleting the article as some heartless fellows would, I also want to beg of you to soften up a bit. This article is on African women in the cinema. I am in a writing competition, and I have seen articles not having as much citations as this work's and no one disturbs them, why mine?! How much of a citation is needed to make an article? When most of what is available are "amp." projects, where do you expect me to go get citations other than the ones I managed to get considering the timeframe? Please, let's first be human, before anything else. Please, I beg of you. Be nice to me. Kambai Akau (talk) 20:46, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Chris Delvan Gwamna.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Chris Delvan Gwamna.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:45, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Whpq -- Wow! This is heavy. I think I have much to learn under image uploading. Thanks. Kambai Akau (talk) 20:52, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Non-free images of living people almost always fails the replaceability criteria (WP:NFCC#1). From the guidelines, "Non-free content should not be used when a freely licensed file that serves the same purpose can reasonably be expected to be uploaded, as is the case for almost all portraits of living people." The non-free content criteria and what qualifies can be confusing, if you have questions, Wikipedia:Media copyright questions is a good place to ask. -- Whpq (talk) 21:04, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Whpq -- Hmm! I appreciate this explanation, sir. When I get less busy, I will endeavour to visit the link page when free. Kambai Akau (talk) 22:19, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Emmanuel Nuhu Kure moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Celestina007 (talk) 17:42, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Celestina007 -- Really? Kambai Akau (talk) 08:35, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
yh really. You seem to be struggling with understanding our policy on notability so until such a time you do understand them, using the afc method to submit your articles would be the best route to follow. Of course it is your prerogative to decide. Celestina007 (talk) 09:53, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- Okay. Hope I grow in understanding soon. Kambai Akau (talk) 10:13, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Come on, don’t get salty with me. Celestina007 (talk) 10:38, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- No, truly, I understand. You just want it done rightly. The writer might get bitter after devoting much time to an article, thinking one has done much and if anything more, someone else might continue from there, and then, Boom! Drafted. Or worse, Deleted. But, it's okay. What ought be done, ought be done rightly. One can't be right always, though. Kambai Akau (talk) 11:11, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I understand the frustration. To be more specific, the first problem I noticed was almost all the sources used never directly referenced him, second was, the article didn’t state how exactly he satisfied NACADEMIC & the third was/is I didn’t see how he satisfied WP:RELPEOPLE. If it can be shown how he satisfies either NACADEMIC or RELPEOPLE it would be accepted by an afc reviewer. The good news is, Wikipedia allows you all the time in the world to address such problems, ehh, well, don’t just leave the draft unedited for 6 months. Celestina007 (talk) 11:24, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- Hmm. Okay, I am currently improving it. If this was an examination, and this article a course, at the end, I hope to get at least a D7 grade or if heaven be kind, a C6. Kambai Akau (talk) 11:45, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Why can’t I help but feel subliminal shots are being fired at me? (Nahhh Cele It’s just all in your head). On a serious note, If you are done working on the article and feel you have addressed at least one of the aforementioned problems & have submitted it for review (and can promise me there isn’t any COI or UPE to be worried about) you can ping me & I’d be willing to take a look and accept it accordingly. A C6 would be bare notability, how about aiming for a C4? Celestina007 (talk) 12:02, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- C4... Doable! Shots... It must be from a toy gun. Lol. No probs. I will alert you ASAP, when done. Kambai Akau (talk) 12:38, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Follow Up

[edit]

I hope this didn’t make you feel any type of way but i can only hope that you appreciate the fact that I’m merely trying to ensure articles on mainspace meet our notability criteria for inclusion. If you don’t mind I can work on the article for you (if you don’t mind as more often than not editors do not appreciate other editors unilaterally editing their “own” article without consent) if you agree, I’d do that but unfortunately I’d have to remove two-third (if not all) of the sources you used & re-source the entire article & bring it to a state where it stands a chance of surviving an AFD then proceed to moving it to mainspace where it should be automatically indexed into the google search engine, do you consent to this? Celestina007 (talk) 19:01, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Celestina007 -- Oh, great! I don't know if you noticed, but I intentionally withheld telling you "Thank you". I reserved it for a moment like this. Please, carry on and do whatever you deem needful to do on the article. I definitely would, like an electric eel, improve by at least a watt, strong enough to shock you next time you dive in to sea (sorry, "see") my next article. Hope I don't get to be the one shocked, instead. 😷 Kambai Akau (talk) 19:22, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Whilst we are it, it just struck me that there aren’t any Hausa occultists? For example, take a look at Olumba Olumba(South-South), Jesu Oyingbo (South West) & Pericoma Okoye(South East) so I figured it’s only right I include the North, thus my question is, just like the aforementioned individuals, are there any notorious Northern occultists/black magicians? or who have been accused of engaging in occultism? If yes could you tell me their names(Dead or alive) as I intend to create articles on them. Thank you
@Celestina007: -- Okay. Thanks all the same!
As for the occultists, there are, especially in the Middle Belt where most of the native cultures are similar to those in the south of Nigeria. I did hear of some Kano alhajis in the past, with occultic powers, but that was a long time ago, as a kid and can't remember any names at the moment. Where I come from, there is someone by name Mba Dabo. I wrote an article about him on Facebook on the handle, "Chong Åniet Åtyap", but unfortunately, I haven't seen any written documentations about him, just oral sources. The Attah Igala, Ameh Oboni, father of immediately past Attah (King) of Igala was said to be quite an occultic man. He actually got removed from the kingship, majorly, as a result of it in the c. 1950s. There are a number of them I can't recall perfectly, but hopefully with time, one may. Kambai Akau (talk) 00:04, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Kambai Akau, yup! I can work with that. Celestina007 (talk) 09:54, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Celestina007: -- Right?! Okay. Great! Kambai Akau (talk) 14:17, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. A few suggestions to improve this article:

  • In the results table, candidates should be listed by number of votes, not by the party.
  • The 'electorate' field is for the number of registered voters, not the total number of votes cast (that is calculated automatically if you add the invalid figure).
  • The results in the infobox should match those in the results table (the percentages are 68.60% and 29.82% in the infobox and 68.56% and 29.80% in the table).

A full list of the candidates is available here if you want to complete the table. Cheers, Number 57 20:34, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Number 57: -- Wow! Thanks. I will work on its improvement, soon. Kambai Akau (talk) 21:04, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Occult

[edit]

Following this convo it really just gets confusing, is this; Idakwo Ameh Oboni II the Ameh Oboni that practiced occultism? If not could you expressly tell me his name or a link to them or a story about them? Celestina007 (talk) 14:30, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Celestina007: --Okay. It's quite simple. Attah Akpoli Umaru Ameh Oboni I is father to Attah Idakwo Ameh Oboni II. I initially wrote the article on the son. The one who had the black magic is the father. The father is the one I meant. The father hanged himself, as the story was narrated by my father, when he returned from Kaduna in 1956, where he got dethroned because someone in his kingdom, who got Western education through his benevolence, wrote a letter to report him to the government that he was a diabolical man. As it was said, as he returned, he went to his house in Dekina, and cursed the land of Dekina that nothing good would come out of it. He then cursed the lineage of the person who wrote the letter that the hand he used in writing that report would wither and so would it be with his descendants, and so it happened (as I heard). When he laid his curses, he kept his briefcase and hanged himself at the front of his house. No one dared go near his corpse because everyone was afraid to venture close to it. The only person around to help out was his eight years old son, Idakwo, who was exempted from the harm of the charms his father possessed. Even after the removal of the corpse, there was a time a construction company wanted to make a road through the area and the tree on which Oboni I hanged himself was to be excavated and the bulldozer on reaching there broke down. It seems another came and same thing happened. That was where the machines were abandoned. His son, Idakwo, later gained education by the hands of missionaries and became a Christian through them. Cele, I am not a fine story teller o. Peeeens up! Kambai Akau (talk) 18:55, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. you’ve done your best. The onus is on me to research about Nigerian occultists since I’m so fascinated and fixated on them. Serves me right I guess. Celestina007 (talk) 19:44, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Agwatyap III.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Agwatyap III.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 22:42, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Whpq: -- Okay, thanks. Kambai Akau (talk) 22:50, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Whpq -- Hi! I have asked the copyright owner to send a mail to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and he agreed to. Hope you have received the mail by now? Regards. Kambai Akau (talk) 14:25, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The email is handled by OTRS, so I cannot tell you if an email has been received. You should mark the image as permission pending by adding {{subst:OP}} to the file description. When you do that, you can also remove the tag about missing permission. -- Whpq (talk) 14:43, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Whpq: -- Okay. Great. Thanks a lot! Kambai Akau (talk) 14:46, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I need your help

[edit]

So I’ve been looking for encyclopedic occult related articles to create, as you know, your baby girl is obsessed with the occult, so basically In USA we have Freemasonry, In India we have the The 9 unknown men of Ashoka. Now, the Yoruba people of Nigeria have the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity society and the Asigidi society (i am terrified of them) The Igbo's have the Nze na Ozo society as well as the Okonko society(you should be terrified of them), The Cross river and Akwa-Ibom of Nigeria have the Ekpe secret society, in short, the entirety of the south-south region of Nigeria all see the Ekpe society also known as The leopard society as the most powerful secret society. My question is this, is there an equivalent to the aforementioned sects/secret societies in the Hausa speaking Northern part of Nigeria? @Em-mustapha please feel free to join this discussion, I need all the help I can get. Celestina007 (talk) 18:16, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Celestina007: -- Lol. True. To be honest, I really don't know much about the Hausa world, but I know of the Central Nigerian (Middle Beltern) world better, especially the Central Nigerian Plateau people. There is the Abwoi cult. I have been developing the above article on it. Kambai Akau (talk) 19:21, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Celestina007:- Being that Igbo is to a level similar to my mother tongue, one naturally would understand it to a level. Lol. Thanks mate. Hope to see you soon. Kambai Akau (talk) 17:03, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I will Give You 5 Hundred If We Ever Meet In Person

[edit]

No, not ₦500 , or ₦500,000 but 500 as in my 5 fingers across your cheek, you know as in a very dirty slap 😂like Bianca Ojukwu did Ebele Obiano how is that you never check up on me & It’s always me reaching out? Don’t worry I promise you, you would receive that 500 from me lmao. Okay to the reason I’m here in our exchange before you mentioned you could speak the Igbo language, could you give me some pointers? I’ve paid good money twice now to learn the language and I thought I was an expert on the language but every now and again I fail to grasp what is being said to me when conversing with Igbo people, if they intentionally don’t speak the non central Igbo which is taught at Terra Kulture but speak harder forms of the language to humiliate me, I really don’t know but it’s annoying all the same. it’s almost as though every word or sentence has it’s unique meaning when you used in a specific context, can you explain do logic behind this? Or how to learn better? I don’t mind moving to an Igbo state and leaving in a hotel For about two moths until I master the language, what are your thoughts? Do you think it’s worth it? Celestina007 (talk) 23:38, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Celestina007: -- My real Wiki G. I don't know what excuse to give you this time around. All I have to say is I sorry well well. At first, when I saw 500, I say, Hah! At last, I don hammer. 😂😂 Na dola been dey ma mind sef. Our wiki subdomain is almost ready. We've been working greatly to see this happen, Cele. If you check my edits on the English Wiki, you'll see how low my activities have gone - all part of it. But that doesn't justify not coming around to say hi sha. I'm astronomically sorry. Deeply isn't the word. For the Igbo, my translation aid is the Google Translate app. You can download it and it'll help you greatly. My Igbo no strong like dat o. Na otondo levo I dey. 🤣 I truly hope we meet in person, but not to take 500 o. I hear say dat Bianca slap hot sha. Moving to an Igbo state is a great idea, as it would create way for easier learning. Kambai Akau (talk) 14:11, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
“Oga say Na “I think say I don hammer” No ohh no be only “hammer” Na harmattan. I do indeed understand everyone is a tad bit busy Atm. About the Igbo Language it’s really frustrating, you’d be amazed how much I have spent in Terra Kulture just trying to learn the language to perfection, Yoruba is easy, Hausa is the easiest but the Igbo Language has really proven to be tough, I don’t understand how a sentence can mean one thing and mean a whole different thing due to context (note that the tone marks are exactly the same), I spoke to a professor friend of mine and what you said about traveling to live amongst them for a while, was what he exactly what he said. I guess indeed I’d have to do that. Your 👋 dey wait for you sha. Celestina007 (talk) 16:44, 31 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Celestina007: -- Lol. The Igbo, sociolinguistic immersion is just the best. My target languages are two, Yoruba and German. I have really not given much time to learn Yoruba properly to have a good grasp of it, but have in German, yet, much still needs to be done. Wen I go see you, e be like say I go go Kano go chop wetin 'yan tauri dey chop. Na odeshi levo I go just dey wen di slap go waka come 😝. Happy New Month of April Cele! Before I forget, I think we should connect on social media. Kambai Akau (talk) 18:23, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Happy new month to you my g, and happy new month to O.ominirabluejack, as well, its very few people I have utmost regard for and he is one of them, all the qualities I look for in an editor who edits very genuinely he possesses all the traits. On the social-media point you raised, It indeed is a good point but unfortunately I “technically” only use social media, I don’t use social media except it’s for tracking down off wiki UPE & besides I have like different aliases for different platforms, that way no one can see my real picture, the last time I allowed someone see my “supposed picture” this guy here threatened to use it as a point of contact to inflict suffering on me & oh boy I’m terrified of African black magic, although nothing really happened, except that I ruptured my knee (so I guess the pain and suffering they swore to afflict me did Infact happen 😂) don’t worry I’d show them Indian Juju too strong gaann😂. Okay all jokes aside, the best way to connect to me is via email or at my TP directly and real reason is after the real 500 & general beating I received some time ago I decided not to communicate with people outside my tp and email. I’m part European and Asian, and I’m 6'6” tall, and to make matters worse I put my place of work on my UP, so I really did & still do, stick out like a sore thumb, apparently some disgruntled UPE editors who I put out of business, did to me like Will did to Chris Rock. Sha Sha, I walk with security now so I’m not so bothered about a second attack but I’m cautious about the information I give out. I’m merely Nigerian by naturalization although for the longest I identify with the Igbo people of Nigeria, I watched the Biafran/Nigerian civil war and all I could do was cry and empathize with them and their struggles, believe me Kambai, it reminded me so much about the holocaust, although I believe Aguiyi Ironsi, Ojukwu, & Gowon share blame in why that war started, had Gowon just stood by the Aburi accord, I believe the civil wouldn’t have started, but I don’t want to get too political. Although as a Nigerian citizen I have every right to. Having said I live in Lagos state, and used to play Basketball at the Ndubuisi Kanu park but after my attack I swore to never engage in anything that would put me in harms way, but I like I said I walk with security now and I’m no so scared anymore. Having said and aforementioned I live in Lagos state and identify with the Yoruba people of Nigeria as well and speak the Yoruba Language very fluently. Celestina007 (talk) 20:39, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- Ore mi, but shebi I follow get the regard from you na? 😎 The social media thing, I understand very well what you mean. Anyone who stands for the right thing often doesn't find it easy in a world of personal interests like ours. I'm saddened that someone would go that far as to physically assault you like that. E no make sense at all. I was contemplating whether to ask for your email or social media, especially Telegram username because I know of people who don't like their identity made open. It took me some time to think this over before adding my social media links on my UP. I thought about those species of people without character too, but then, I just say na God dey cover person, I put am there. I was thinking your dad's Nigerian o and your mom Indian, but I was wrong. Me na full breed local pikin sha. 😀 But las las, you na strong woman. I tell you, once God hand dey your head, you need fear nothing ore mi. That Biafra-Nigeria war na unfortunate occurrence. Kambai Akau (talk) 21:59, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Normal level nauu, you follow for those I regard naw, if not we no go dey yarn. I no dey follow talk with editors who engage in dubious editing i mean the ones who mean our reputation harm, I have absolutely no regard for them I only engage them when I query sketchy looking article creations from them, they really are evil, how does one put financial vested interest over the integrity of the collaborative project? Like how does one value money over integrity? It beats me, abeg, make we forget those bunch of mediocre, trifling, & substandard editors and yarn better abeg. About linking your social media accounts to your UP, Just dey careful with the kind of sensitive information you put out there, in-fact if an editor you don’t know or trust sends you an e-mail don’t even bother responding to it, Believe me, replying them is very dangerous & that’s pretty much I’m allowed to say so I don’t run afoul of any polices. Yeah Last last Na only God dey cover person. Celestina007 (talk) 22:23, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007, you are too kind. 😊 O.ominirabluejack (talk) 23:09, 2 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- Thanks for the advice G! I no go leave my brain for back seat. Lol. Kambai Akau (talk) 10:32, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Are you following the Will Smith - Chris Rock Incident?

[edit]

Just take a look at this, this & most annoying this, I’m glad all this is actually happening to Will Smith, asides Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are the greatest comedians on earth and he had the nerve to hit him? Knowing fully well that Chris Rock suffers from a form of Asperger’s syndrome which he openly disclosed in 2020 & yet Will chose to humiliate him publicly, perhaps I’m biased because i suffer from Asperger’s syndrome also that makes me a recluse, but I’m glad he is being reprimanded, physical violence is never acceptable. Furthermore and what is indeed saddening is that Chris rock made the joke in good faith, he assumed she merely chose to shave her locks oblivious of the fact that she suffered from androgenetic female pattern baldness. Celestina007 (talk) 21:33, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Celestina007 -- Truly speaking, Will Smith's action was shocking and kinda immature. But whether its his wife, Jada, who instigated him to do so or not, he had his free will to go or not to go. The revocations, slams and all the condemnations he got are quite enough for him. I just hope and pray he doesn't harm himself as a result. Chris was just doing his job. Make AY and Basketmouth dem kiafu o before the Willie Blacksmiths of Naija start dem own stage slapping o. Hmmmh. For dis regime wey pipo head dey steam so. Kambai Akau (talk) 21:29, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In your spare time please watch this(it really expresses how Jada is just as much to blame) that one aside, Ahn Ahn, KA, Haba! why you dey talk like this, Omo if any Moron feel say them fit slap AY or Basketmouth and go scot-free, even if AY or Basketmouth no react with counter slap instantaneously, Omo that person go too collect after the show, no be even basket or AY go ginger, Na MEN go too mend the person, wait oo make i clarify something, I don’t support violence, but Omo Na Naija, I’m speaking facts only, the person go too collect 500, ahn ahn KA forget say I be Oyibo girl I sabi as things dey for street, Omo the 500 go to loud so tey the person unborn generation go feel am too. 😂. Celestina007 (talk) 22:45, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- No qualms, I would in my spare time watch that. Omo, mæn! Tell me say dem go slap person for im Epe e go feel am for im Badagry bi dat. 😂😂😂😂 You no bi oyibo again o, Cele 🤗🤗🤗. If the slap hapun, na dia show go end. When I saw the slap, I was unsure of how Chris would continue initially. I was embarrassed myself, but somehow, he managed to wrap around the situation. Violence is never the right way to solve issues.Kambai Akau (talk) 23:39, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly! Violence is never the answer! Lol normal level, una don colonize me & Now I be correct Nigerian which I extremely proud of I know say Na only my skin color white but inside, I know say I no be oyibo again, i dun turn Full Nigeria, ina jin hausa, Mo gbo Youruba, Anam Anu Igbo , I dey yarn in pidgin on a regular, whilst I still respect my heritage, at this point I am more Nigerian than I am Swede/Swedish or Indian. Celestina007 (talk) 02:56, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- Na dis one dey make Bini (Ẹ̄do) man hold chest exclaim, "Iye mwẹn o!" You are a real polyNaijaglot, sorry, polyglot. But me, e come dey do me like say I bi oyibo for ma former lyf (if anything like that exists). I appreciate my Nok Culture heritage, but admire all human craft works (minus banana leaf flying technologies - c'mon, you know what a'mean 😎; na Benin and India dey compete who be senior for dis one 😂😂😂.) But I like India for one thing...dem no dey like make person worry dem. I no fit forget my India Maths lecturer, Mr. Moni. Swedish girls are among the finest in Europe. Tall, blue eyed (only in Scandinavia 😉), courageous, etc. etc. Hmmh! Na for buk I take read am o, I never take eye jam one, minus for inside TV. But I go like jam one for eye (no be with motor oo...ehenn! 😊) Kambai Akau (talk) 00:02, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Brotherly, one of my family members In the U.S died so I travelled there to attend the funeral service and link up with my family there. Ironically, although it is no secret to the entirety of Wikipedia, that I heavily dabble in occultism, I’m a Christian, I’ve read the Bible back to back more than twice now, being an occultist or mystic does not take away from your Christian faith. In-fact here in Nigeria, my husband, who has refused to marry me @O.ominirabluejack (Dont worry I would cast a spell on him to make him marry me by force) created an article titled Reformed Ogboni Fraternity, you see, this organization is a Christian-mystical organization and there is absolutely nothing sinister about it, to buttress my point, the very founder; T.A.J. Ogunbiyi was a Christian, and even more interesting was an Anglican Reverend, but doltish, cloddish & dense Nigerian filmmakers making useless movies such as this nonsense confuses the people. Celestina007 (talk) 12:26, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Chai, see bad name wey pesin don receive! 🤣
Celestina007, you are telling people I refused to marry you? Aren't you the one that's playing hard to get? I am ready to go! You're the one that travelled without telling ME! 😂
Seriously, though, she's right about the R.O.F. A lot of people here believe terrible things about them, and there are people that don't help the perception because they use their symbols to do horrible things, but generally the R.O.F. was started by zealous Christians and is therefore not what people say.
O.ominirabluejack (talk) 12:56, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
        • Kambai, no mind O.ominirabluejack o, I literally told him I’m a fine girl and I be Oyibo but Jack just dey use big grammar they finish me, like say I no know book. but don’t worry Jack, I forgive you because you know not what you do 😂😂. Okay on a more serious note though, you see Kambai, this statement Jack made; "Seriously, though, she's right about the R.O.F. A lot of people here believe terrible things about them, and there are people that don't help the perception because they use their symbols to do horrible things, but generally the R.O.F. was started by zealous Christians and is therefore not what people say." explains how being a mystic does not take away from you being a Christian. Celestina007 (talk) 19:30, 1 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Celestina007 -- Hahaha, abeg no make me laff. @O.ominirabluejack be no sabi say grammar no be ya ting nah, na im make, but e fi marry you sooner than later if only you go say "Yes" 😌. Sorry, I take time respond; yesterday busy like mad. There are groups of preachers who initially sprang from Traditional Worship background into Christianity without really getting absorbed in their newfound way of life, then move out to create their own ministries with claims of divine revelations. The R.O.F. like other syncretic groups worldwide seems to be an example of such ministries which might not be referred to as "Christian", but as separate, because any other doctrine outside of what is already established in the Bible, especially the New Testament, cannot be called a Christian doctrine any more. Mhhh, dat no be my field sha. I am still a "work-in-progress" in Christ. Sorry about the loss, Cele. The life of a human is like a candlelight. Today it shines so bright and the next second gone with the winds. But may we live long enough to make positive impact in the world we found ourselves before our timelines vanish. Kambai Akau (talk) 09:52, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Kambai Akau, glad to meet you. Abeg, help me tell Celestina007 that I wan marry her o! 😂
Syncretism is too widespread for us to make any definite conclusions, I feel. After all, Catholicism is very syncretic, and every Christian tradition that exists today owes it a debt. Anyway sha, I'm still learning too. Ultimately, we all are. Be well, broda mi.
O.ominirabluejack (talk) 12:50, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@O.ominirabluejack -- Quite true. Syncretism is quite rampant in our society; it seems to have always been there. Happy to meet you too bro. @Celestina007 dear! Jack say make I teh you say e wan marry you, and im no dey joke with ya matter. Na for Mars una go wed💞, do honeymoon for moon and come back to Earth come pepper dem. Dis topic dey make me miss Bollie. Kambai Akau (talk) 17:24, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • which one be say my marraiage with Jack dey make you miss bollie, that song Na for old people like me ooo, I’m not so old though. Okay back to our more thought provoking salient discussion, in the end I feel like no one really knows until they join. The thing is, there are an exponential number of frightening stories out there about the Ogboni fraternity, did you catch that? I didn’t mention Reformed Ogboni Fraternity but you’d note that your subconscious mind referenced that group in particular, Infact because the R.O.F is the most popular form of Ogbonism thus whenever people read any dreadful stories about the Ogboni(which are almost all lies)) their subconscious mind goes straight to the R.O.F whilst in actuality there are 13 types of Ogboni. It’s disgusting what some of our Caucasian(I pretty much identify as Nigerian) counterparts do, they use media and say (Freemasonry) isn’t evil, the Odd (fellows) (I’m a member of isn’t evil) (Rosicrucian fellowship) (I’m a member of isn’t evil) I’m bound by oath not to reveal what happens inside the inner lodge, (so I can never say till the day I die) but let’s leave it at that, but via media they make what is our own Reformed Ogboni Fraternity sound evil. It really is shameful what the media does but it is what it is. Celestina007 (talk) 18:58, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You see, that is precisely my point. Celestina007 has said it all. All of these groups have secrets that only the initiated are privy to. Nigerians didn't invent that. Why, then, is it only our groups that are deemed to be 'satanic' as a result? What is their crime? Ultimately, the fact that Ogboni is feared so widely is part of the reason why the things about it that are actually impressive (such as the fact that women have always been eligible for membership) are not appreciated by enough people. My people were involving women in government long before Westerners were. That is part of Ogboni's legacy too, and it's something that more Nigerians should be aware of.
O.ominirabluejack (talk) 22:05, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@ Celestina007 & @O.ominirabluejack, I now understand what the ogboni institution is. It's quite related to the old Abwoi cult in my part of the world, just that Christianity has replaced it almost totally, today. The Western media has much to answer for as regards labelling stuff outside of the West in bad light and projecting those from the West as "blameless"). Thanks to you both. My knowledge has increased! Kambai Akau (talk) 19:51, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As has mine, Kambai Akau. I knew nothing of Abwoi before today. Thank you for the information, my brother. 😁
O.ominirabluejack (talk) 10:33, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@O.ominirabluejack, you're welcome bro! 🤗 Kambai Akau (talk) 22:18, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Beevan Magoni moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Beevan Magoni, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Your user sub-pages

[edit]

Hi, while cleaning up links to renamed categories I noticed that you have many user sub-pages. Please tag these with {{db-author}} if you have finished with them. Among other things this saves other editors from checking backlinks after moving linked pages. WP:COPYARTICLE says that such pages should not be kept indefinitely. – Fayenatic London 09:36, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, wow. Sorry for late replies. I would do what is necessary. Thanks and regards. Kambai Akau (talk) 06:33, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:49, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Southern Kaduna genocide, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A bare URL error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 02:13, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A belated thanks for your contributions relating to Nigerian articles. Why aren't you autopatrolled yet? Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 23:18, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lol. Thanks! @SafariScribe. I have been an extended user since 2020 I guess. Since the creation of the Tyap Wikipedia, much of my contributions and attention had shifted to that region causing me to contribute less in English. But all good! 😊 Kambai Akau (talk) 23:33, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

IPA templates

[edit]

You don't have to create IPA-xx templates anymore. As the very /doc pages you created say, please use {{IPA|xx|...}} instead. Nardog (talk) 10:20, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, wow! Thanks for letting me know, @Nardog. I am reading this message late. But better late than never. Warm regards, Kambai Akau (talk) 18:14, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see you've contributed a lot to Abwoi religion, would you be interested in a taskforce on oral tradition? Kowal2701 (talk) 17:16, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Kowal2701, sorry I have been quite occupied of late and have not been able to respond to messages in time. Yeah, I would be glad to participate in the taskforce on oral tradition. My passion actually lies in seeing the unheard being heard and documenting the undocumented. Thanks for the invite. Kambai Akau (talk) 20:46, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's great, no worries Kowal2701 (talk) 20:48, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
