New York Lightfoot
Recently you reverted changes I made to the Wiki on the New York Light Foot Militia, where I had updated it with more current information, such as the fact that George Curbelo is no longer the leader of the NYLFM. I also changed the activities of the group to be more generally stated than historically stated. IE: updating readers with relevant information on the groups training activities and removing the historical activities mostly covered already in media stories and articles.
These updates are not vandalism!!! I want to put out accurate information about the group, as evidenced by sources linked such as the light foot Militia Standards and principles, a document that details the light foots mission, ethics and purpose as well as types of training. Please allow the changes to go through. The group has already been screwed by Facebook. Sincerely: The 11th Field Force, 25th Battalion XO of the NYLFM.
- Hello, and thank you for your message. In their present form, the edits you are trying to make conflict with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Our content generally sticks to what reliable sources (such as newspapers or scholarly publications) report about a subject; use of self-published sources (such as your organisation's website) is strongly discouraged -- as is removing sourced content without a good explanation. If reliable sources mainly cover the historical activities of your organisation, that is what the article's focus should be. Furthermore, you have a conflict of interest as a member of the group, which can lead to problems with retaining the neutral point of view that Wikipedia strives to achieve in its articles. If you have concerns about the factual accuracy of the article, you should provide reliable sources in support of your argument on the article's talk page and request changes there. Thank you for understanding. Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 22:48, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
- Is there any way you can help us out then? The About section is factually inaccurate and has been for a couple of years now. The leadership of the group can change year to year. Take that from me, I'm a primary source for that information. That is why I changed it in the manner that I did.
- As for the activities section. I am the one who originally put that information up. I understand your point of view in not removing it. I'd still like to update the activities section with my edits, but I am in no way adverse to leaving the historically activities with sourced news articles alone. Could we move this conversation to the wikidiscord? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:6000:1103:C79C:C858:1758:9302:E4E6 (talk) 22:57, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
- We can move this conversation to discord if you like. If you can provide a source for the leadership change or present leadership, it's likely that this can get changed as well. However, I'm afraid personal experience – no matter how accurate – won't cut it here (see WP:OR). Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 23:03, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi Blablubbs, thanks for catching the copyvios. I had tagged Draft:Miss Iman M Al-Qubtan for G11 but have now amended it as they copied the Amazon profile. I did not even think to look for that. S0091 (talk) 22:33, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Boxing-Wrong Professional Record put for the Wrong Boxer
Hello Blablubbs. You might have noticed that I deleted a section in your edited page of Ivan Calderon. The reason why I did that is that I believe you made a mistake and placed Canelo Alvarez's professional record in Ivan Calderon's Wikepedia page. As a result, I deleted the section about Canelo Alvarez in that page as that information is referring to the wrong boxer. Next time, I will notify you first if you made a mistake.
- Hi, thanks for explaining. There's no need to notify me before removing content; I only came across your edit while patrolling the recent changes feed. What would be great is if you could explain your reasoning in the edit summary field whenever you modify an article. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia, and happy editing! Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 10:31, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
The Umbrella Academy
Hi, you reverted a change I made to The Umbrella Academy. I deleted this quote and reference since it was misattributed, with the correct quote and reference directly above. I have deleted it again, this time stating my reason in the summary including a link to the article that was deleted, if you feel the need to put in a quote that was actually from that article. 87.214.242.116 (talk) 17:27, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for providing an explanation – I might have been a little too quick to undo there. It's usually good practice to always leave an edit summary, especially when removing content that appears to be sourced. Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 17:49, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- No problem, I understand that with deletions without reasoning, which is why I was annoyed when someone else came along and called my second edit vandalism. Removing others edits
How about making sure there is no source cited prior to removing edits made by other contributors. The edits I made to the Sam Hyde article already had a source cited. I only elaborated on what was actually written in the article linked as citation for the article and therefore did not need to add any source citation. The way the article was written was intentionally misleading and needed to be clarified. Please do your due diligence in making changes to edits. JWBallz (talk) 17:46, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- JWBallz, (talk page stalker) sorry where does the source say "satirically" exactly? Glen (talk) 17:55, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
The source doesn't say satirically directly. Its contextual. The fact that he is making a joke about how he makes more money that Matt Pearce should be sufficient to show that his intentions were to display satire. Seems that you are the talk page stalker. I have only responded to others. JWBallz (talk) 18:06, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
- JWBallz, another (talk page watcher) – the details you're adding are already in the body of the article, they're out of place in the lead and Blablubbs was correct to revert because you also removed other information (and refs) from the lead with your edit. Schazjmd (talk) 18:08, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Actually, the way it is currently written is very misleading. Sam Hyde is known for his pranks and hoaxes. Pointing that out in the article is relevant to the article. The information I removed from the article is due to the lack of citation to support what is said in the article. There is nothing in the cited article to support that Sam Hyde is associated with Alt-right or white supremacists. Therefore it was removed. JWBallz (talk) 18:18, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
But Million Dollar Extreme, which premiered in August, is also from the mind of Sam Hyde, an unapologetic member of the alt-right. Hyde crafts his comedy with the goal of shocking his young, liberal, Millennial audience while simultaneously appealing to like-minded members of a white-nationalist movement that generally supports Donald Trump.
. That's in the first paragraph of the source you removed in your recent edit. And on a different note: Yes, Glen is the stalker, that's what the template means. You can find more about that by reading the page it links to – while you're at it, you may also want to read this essay. Thanks, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 18:24, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
A problem with correcting indirect links
Hi - Thankyou for getting back. I have a couple of problems. I created a new page for the latest Hwyl Nofio album called Isolate. First I added Isolate to the main Hwyl Nofio Discography secton - then I created the Isolate (album) page. Problem - the Isolate (album) link is indirect and I would like help to create a direct link. There is also an additional problem with the link from the Isolate (album) - section box, previous album From Elevated Gangways Rivers of Molen Metal Flow (album). The link again is indirect and needs correcting. I would welcome your help with this matter. Thank you (Fangfest (talk) 09:40, 22 September 2020 (UTC))
- Fangfest, you should not be creating new pages by modifying existing redirects. Please create new pages instead. At this point, the page you created is not sufficiently sourced to remain published, so I have moved it to Draft:Isolate (Hwyl Nofio album). I suggest you keep working on it there and then submit it for review through the Articles for creation process. Thanks.
- Thank you for your time and help. I will continue to work on the Draft:Isolate article. When you say not sufficiently sourced - I have provided links to Discogs and I include a review of the album. What extra information would be useful for the article to remain published? Thank you (Fangfest (talk) 14:40, 22 September 2020 (UTC))

A message from C CWy52
List of materials properties page.
Bear with me this is the first time I have got into wikipedia as opposed to just using it. I am a teaching professor (lecturer in the UK) and Ive just picked up a first year module in this subject. I want to introduce the idea of mechanical material properties to my students but imho the list really has too much content. eg you only need ductility not brittleness. A ductile material is not brittle. Some of the properties seem a bit odd as well - what is specific weight - surely density is more important.
Anyway - I dont want to edit it only for my work to be undone so is it possible to discuss this with anyone in the wiki world?
Best wishes
Chris--C CWy52 (talk) 11:37, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- C CWy52, Hi Chris, sorry for the late reply. My reversion of your edits was part of my recent changes patrol work and happened mainly because you blanked out large chunks of content without explaining why, which made it very hard to tell what your intentions are, since many people who are acting in bad faith engage in unexplained content removal as well. I highly recommend you start using edit summaries. Regarding the topic at hand: As it stands, it seems that the list in question tries to detail all materials properties (or at least those we have articles on); as someone fairly unfamiliar with the topic area, I don't feel qualified to make a judgement call on whether it is overly expansive or not, but I would suggest voicing your concern on the articles talk page to gather input from people who are more qualified than I am. I hope this helps; sorry for the inconvenience and best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 12:13, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Removing My John N Mitchell edits
Why must I explain my actions in removing obviously biased information from John N. Mitchell's wikipedia page. Who the hell are you to reinstate my changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamdud22 (talk • contribs) 19:44, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Jamdud22, I'm someone who uses edit summaries for their changes, especially when removing material. I'm also someone who doesn't leave aggressive talk page messages when my edits get reverted and who isn't here to delete sourced material without an explanation or attempt to improve it just because it doesn't conform to my political opinions. Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 20:04, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Blablubbs,You're obviously someone, like most of the editors on Wikipedia, that has a strong liberal bias. That article is in no way legit and I will contact Wikipedia to dispute it. Not best, Jamdud22
Afd should be speedy?
Hi Blablubbs. I see you reinstated a removed Afd template from Wilbur Soot. Thank you!
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wilbur_Soot&type=revision&diff=980335773&oldid=980335572
The page previously had a Speedy delete tag, that was removed by the original author, and that removal hasn't been reverted.
From what I can see, the page should have a speedy delete tag. What do you think?
peterl (talk) 07:25, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Peterl, happy to help. The previous speedy tag was for copyright violations, but the source material seems to be from Fandom and is compatibly licensed (though attribution is needed); so I think that probably won't be enough for a G12 speedy. Or did you have a different speedy deletion criterion in mind? Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 09:40, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- Ah, I hadn't seen that compatible licence. Looks like it's moot, though, as the deletion discussion seems quite clear. Thanks again. peterl (talk) 21:58, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi again. That user has removed the AfD tag (again). [1] I have restored it, and put a notice on their talk page. Is there something else that should be done (I'm not sure of the process). Thanks. peterl (talk) 02:37, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
- Peterl, you did everything correctly, although I might have escalated the warning to {{uw-afd4}}. Given the repeated removals, I would suggest taking this to ANI if the behaviour persists. Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Nama Ramayanam
Blabbus Nama Ramayanam's Lyrics were created 1000 years ago and is a public domain. I have copied it from Drik Panchang but it's not it's copyright. I want to make the lyrics reach the people of North India as it is with South India. What should I do to publish my page safely.Changing the lyrics is impossible it is already created by Pandit Lakshmanacharya. YS...896 (talk) 15:26, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi YS...896, thanks for your message. The problem isn't mainly with the lyrics, the problem is that you also copied the accompanying text and made minor modifications to it, but that is still a copyright violation. You were also probably aware of that, since the page was previously deleted as a copyright violation and you recreated it five minutes later with the speedy deletion template still intact. If you want to write about this song, you will have to establish that it meets our notability guidelines for songs and you will have to do so in your own words, not by closely paraphrasing material from elsewhere. If you want to learn more about our rules on copyright, click here. Finally, I want to note that Wikipedia is not a repository for song – especially non-English ones; you may want to contribute to a site that specialises in hosting lyrics instead. Thank you for understanding and best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 15:34, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
Actually it's not a song it is a religious verse from ramayana more likely a bhajan and I will change the introduction now in my words. Why are you reverting back the valid changes which I am consistently trying to make on the page?? BNJ Nilam (talk) 21:02, 13 October 2020 (UTC)

Zapp Scooters Limited
Hi there! I saw your comment for removing sections from the Zapp Scooter Limited page and they are totally valid, I was under the assumption I needed to use the exact wording from my sources for the inline citations but clearly the opposite is required. I will be republishing a new version that is entirely paraphrased and has zero duplicate content. In the meantime, what can be done to remove the copyright badge that is on the page? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emmonsemmo (talk • contribs) 09:46, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- Emmonsemmo, Hi, thanks for your message and thank you for understanding the concerns about copyright. I would recommend that you don't approach the rewrite as "paraphrasing", but instead to try to summarise the material in your own words, as paraphrasing can create copyright issues as well; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing for more information. The notice on the page will be removed as soon as an administrator has hidden the infringing revisions from the page history. For legal reasons, we cannot host copyrighted material, even if it's "just" in the page history. The removal is usually done fairly quickly – the notice will likely go away within the next few days. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions. Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 11:02, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
- Emmonsemmo, as an update, an administrator has removed the infringing material and the template is now gone. Best, — Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 17:11, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Request on 14:49:08, 22 October 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Antkaya25
I want to be in compliance and produce a great bio article for Wikipedia. Can you please inform me of the specific type of references that qualify for notable status? I have many sources which reference the subject of the bio and I am asking for help in making this article a reality. Thank you for your help and for your service to our epistemology and community.
Antkaya25 (talk) 14:49, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Antkaya25, thanks for your message. The references we look for are ones that demonstrate in-depth coverage in sources that are independent of the subject and that have at least some reach (e.g. major regional or national newspapers). Anything the subject has written (about) themselves or is in some other way strongly connected to (interviews, press releases, things like that) is generally not suitable for establishing notability. You can find our notability guidelines for biographies at WP:BASIC and subject-specific guidelines for creative professionals at WP:CREATIVE; if you need a very quick TLDR, you can find that at WP:42. Make sure you can provide references that prove the subject meets that standard before continuing to work on the draft; it's a very frustrating experience to invest a lot of energy only to have a draft declined for lack of notability. On an unrelated note, you should also cut down the "Published editorials and opinions" section; it strikes me as excessively long at this point. Publications in general should also go at the bottom of articles, i.e. below the "Mayoral campaign" section. Good luck with the draft, feel free to ask here if you have any other questions. Best, Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 15:00, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
I have resubmitted the article for input. I have added many sources from a credible regional newspaper (The Ithaca Journal; owned by Gannett Media Group). I have included many independent periodical articles or reviews which speak to the subject as an actor and political candidate for Mayor. I have also moved the publication section below the Mayoral section and I will take out many of my published articles per your suggestion. Which articles that I have published would you want me to remove to be acceptable? I appreciate your support in this. Please keep the suggestions coming and I will adjust accordingly to complete this article submission process. Thank you for your help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Antkaya25 (talk • contribs) 15:57, 22 October 2020 (UTC)

could you please help me with how my addition to Gardner White should have been useful and productive to other users. Everything I wrote was confirmed by Gardner White employees.

- Hi, thanks for your message. I reverted your edit because it did not comply with our content policies. Wikipedia articles should start with neutral descriptions of the subject (something the previous description did), not with phrases like
Gardner-white furniture company has unfortunately been unable to meet delivery expectations [...]
. Content additions should also be backed up by reliable sources; things you have heard or experienced yourself count as original research and shouldn't be inserted in articles without sourcing, neither should words like "unfortunately", since that conflicts with our neutral point of view policy. However on reexamination, I do see that I should have explained myself better and that your changes were made in good faith – apologies. If you would like to re-add the content, please cite a reliable source and add the content in a more appropriate section. I am very worried because I really dont want to get any other warnings or get banned on wikipedia. I am really sorry that I did that. I thought it would be funny but it really was not. I like being Auto Confirmed and I just like helping out but I think you should permanantly block my account so I dont vandalize any other pages accidentally. Change to Jensen Huang page
I didn't provide a source because it's literally list in the References, I don't think there need to be another source. Reference 17, the article says Huang's mother is a sister of Su's maternal grandfather, hence Huang is Su's uncle, I'm from Taiwan, Chinese is my native language. And Reference 16, the title of the article changed from cousin to uncle, I assume they just made a mistake on translation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.214.188.60 (talk) 03:57, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Sorry I reverted your Speedy del tag onPritika Swarup. I did so because we have settled the speedy del tag before now. I already dealt with the seemingly copyvio issues although it's never evident from the cited source https://www.imgmodels.com/pritikaswarup .
Please there's no need for the speedy tag anymore. The other editor has already placed other tags which will be worked on. Thanks.Mariah200 (talk) 17:51, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hey Blablubbs. Regarding Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Mariah200 reported by User:Blablubbs (Result: ). Do you believe the latest version is still a copyright violation? If so I would consider just doing a G12 deletion. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 15:19, 15 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi EdJohnston. The copyright issues have largely been addressed by now (the little that is left of the page is arguably basic prose anyway), but all previous revisions should probably be revdel'd. Hence, feel free to decline, since I don't see a policy-based reason for deletion anymore (or not yet). Best, Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 15:36, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Gunter Pauli Page
Hi Blablubbs
why are you tearing down just about EVERYthing in the page of Gunter Pauli ? how can you justify the removal of even the bibliography and of the portrait picture ? thanks Freemanbat (talk) 22:28, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hello Freemanbat. I removed the content because it's either excessively detailed, promotional, unreferenced (cf. WP:BLP), reads like a CV, or any combination of those. The picture was removed for being a copyright violation. The article was also highly likely edited for pay without adequate disclosure in violation of the WMF's term of use, and I am not in the business of rewriting content that was placed there in violation of policy to make it adequate for an encyclopaedia. Speaking of undisclosed paid editing, could you please answer my query about any potential financial or other external interest you may have in promoting Gunter Pauli? Thank you. Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 22:01, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Blablubbs This "highly likely edited for pay without adequate disclosure" is not at all true! I am not being paid to edit this page! I am into environmentalism and I have been following Gunter Pauli and his work for some time and he is bringing some solutions to the philosophy of environmentalism that are breathtaking - I been to his wikipedia several times and found it to be so poorly informed and that it deserved to be enriched- You should read about him and you will understand the sort of "other external interest you may have in promoting Gunter Pauli" cleaning the environment and the earth... that is my "external interest" ! Heard about stone paper? THE solution to end the tree cutting for paper making? Heard about seaweed curtains? The solution to absorb microplastics and clean the oceans and generate biofuels! Have you heard about LiFi? The solution to not only depollute electromagnetism but also to get to speed of 250 GB/s (!!). Also, the page was being modified step by step and the published version was not the last version - Now what's the next move ? Are you gonna keep tearing down just about anything that I put in there ? Freemanbat (talk) 22:27, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Freemanbat. Please start signing and indenting your comments; instructions are at the top of this page. The text present on the page was unambiguously promotional and badly referenced, despite Wikipedia policies strictly requiring that all claims regarding living people be reliably sourced. I have also discovered that much of the article's history likely constitutes a copyright violation, meaning that many or most of the historical revisions will have to be hidden from public view. Frankly, the page read like a mix between a CV and a PR bio through most of it's existence; phrasing like
raises awareness about environmental issues with an innovative perspective
orToday ZERI is a network of 2,800 scientists, professors, and intellectuals continuously rethinking innovations to make business and operational processes as durable as possible
is simply inappropriate for an encyclopaedia, especially when unreferenced. Wikipedia is not a platform for promoting anyone or anything, no matter how much you may believe that something deserves to be promoted. As someone who deals a lot with undisclosed paid editing (which is a violation of our terms of use and illegal in many jurisdictions), I can tell you that the page read very much like such a creation, even if I assume the best of faith on the part of its principal creators. You are free to contribute to the page, but I highly suggest that you read WP:RS and WP:NPOV first; I understand that fascination with a subject can make it hard to write in the dry tone required by an encyclopaedia, but it is a requirement for your edits to not be reverted. Thank you for understanding and best, Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 22:18, 19 November 2020 (UTC)- Addendum: thanks for fixing the indents, though it's confusing if you sign messages after the fact, since the timestamps give the time of the signing, not the time of the initial addition. Best, Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 22:37, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Blablubbs, Now what happens if I restore the page to where it was before i started making adjustments? will you tear it down? Or should I understand that I will have to ask for your "authorization" before doing anything on the page? Freemanbat (talk) 17:06, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- Freemanbat, if the edits you restore are promotional or constitute a copyright violation, then yes, they will be reverted – whether by me or someone else is irrelevant. But no, you don't need my – or anyone else's – authorisation to edit. Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 17:07, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
- Addendum: Looking deeper, it looks like this was a case of reverse copying with a misleading copyright tag on the website that copied the text. The promo issues however are present across the entire page history. Please keep in mind that all articles should be written from a neutral point of view and that all claims about living people must be reliably sourced. Thanks. Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 17:19, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

- Freemanbat, that page revision is very much suboptimal, as are most preceeding and subsequent ones.
- The entire Life and Business section is completely unreferenced, as is half of the rest, which is a no-go for BLPs.
He has been called "The Steve Jobs of sustainability"
is arguably undue for the lead.- I see no indication that he should be called a "Pedagogue"
- The "literary work" section is sourced mostly to pages where you can order the relevant books and contains swaths of entirely unsourced materials.
- The "Works" section strikes me as bloated and excessive.
- It contains a bunch of buzzwords and puffery.
- Even for the claims that are sourced, there are substantial issues. To pick one example, the passage
He built the first ecological factory in the world as 50% shareholder, Chairman and CEO of Ecover. It was completed in 1992, under his leadership, and has received worldwide acclaim as an ecological building.
cites an interview. Very bold claims like this shouldn't be sourced to statements by the subject themselves. A quick search also gives me nothing in the source that supports him being a 50% shareholder or that it received worldwide acclaim as an ecological building. - etc.
- I have no objections to anyone improving the page, but I highly suggest that it should be done from scratch and in strict accordance with our policies and guidelines. Blablubbs (talk • contribs) 17:48, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

- Freemanbat, infoboxes aren't for long lists of people – for that matter, neither are Wikipedia articles. If some influences stick out, because they have received significant external coverage, then you should include them in prose form. Blablubbs|talk 02:13, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

John La Farge page edit
Hello,
I added an external link to the home page of the historical preservation group that owns the John Paine Mansion (of which I am the VP) to John La Farge's page, because the mansion has at least one confirmed (and we believe 3 total) John La Farge windows. You removed the link (actually there is just a link to nowhere right now) with the note that it didn't seem appropriate for an encyclopedia. There is no other website for that building or that speaks to those examples of La Farge's art in our building, so I'm not sure where else to point to. What was your concern, so I can figure out how to address it?
This was the first time I ever edited Wikipedia, so I apologize in advance if I did not learn or follow the right practices.
Gargiulo.keith (talk) 14:06, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Gargiulo.keith, thanks for your message. There's two things to point out here.
- Per our external links guideline (which I linked in my revert summaries here and here, links to external sites should never be placed in the body of articles – hence, you cannot add the link.
- Since you are the VP of that association, you have a conflict of interest regarding related topics, which you should disclose (if you expect compensation for your edits in any way, you are required by our terms of use to do so). I recommend that people with conflicts of interest don't edit pages directly – we have a handy wizard to file edit requests instead.
- Feel free to message me here if you have any other questions. Best, Blablubbs|talk 14:24, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi,
- There is compensation for Wikipedia edits? Really? I didn't know that. I'm certainly not seeking any. If the external link can't go in the body, can it go in footnotes? There is no other place in Wikipedia where this information exists, and it is all available (including a 3d online tour) on our website. All for free. I'll look into the wizard to get the edit request in. Thanks.
- Gargiulo.keith (talk) 14:54, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
- Gargiulo.keith I would suggest not "hiding" links to your websites in references – we use those to verify statements we make, not to link to other websites. More generally, you should avoid linking to your own organisation. This may sound a little harsh, but I mean well: Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a vehicle for creating backlinks to other sites – no matter how useful they are. You are welcome to contribute to the encyclopaedia, but that would ideally take the form of writing neutral, well-referenced information, instead of providing links to external sites where such information exists. Finally, I'd like to ask you to please read WP:DISCLOSE – COI disclosure is required for anyone who is being directly or indirectly compensated for editing Wikipedia, and strongly recommended for anyone else with a conflict of interest. Best, Blablubbs|talk 15:05, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
How do you know if an account is locked and the username has been hidden. I noticed that when looking at CA, it says that there is no global account, if this is the case, then has the account been locked and hidden? Just for the future, don't want to report locked accounts, especially with disruptive usernames. Dylsss(talk contribs) 17:39, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
- Dylsss, I caught your report while some of the accounts were already hidden, but others weren't; when I refreshed, more of them had disappeared. But post-hide, there is no real way to know. By the way: If you see usernames with this pattern again, you may want to take them directly to m:SRG; this is an LTA. Best, Blablubbs|talk 17:46, 3 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I am not sure why you believe that I am violating copyrights. The article is entirely formulated in my own words and some of the material it is based on, I have written and published myself. Please indicate exactly where you have detected any copyright violation - paragraphs, sentences, etc. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vintageautomobile (talk • contribs) 15:33, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, Vintageautomobile. Please see this for highlighted passages that were copied (linked in my comment on your draft. Best, Blablubbs|talk 15:40, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, I did not see this compared versions funnction. Yes, indeed, I further developed this short text of my own webpage for a Wikipedia article. So it is my text and my copyright. OK, I will check this donate function. If that prooves too complicated is it sufficient if I rewrite these passages? The technical details, date and production numbers will of course have to remain the same. I cannot change these.
OK, I gave it another try. Have re-written these sections, included more info and more sources. Kindly check if this meets the quality standards now. I have a problem with one picture on the top (a newspater cutout). Not sure why this does not show. Kindly check. It is well displayed on the German Wikipedia Page, see: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autopodnik_Gatter
Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vintageautomobile (talk • contribs) 18:25, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Vintageautomobile, I'm looking now. The issue with the file is that it was locally uploaded to the German wikipedia and not to wikimedia commons; if it is suitably licensed (e.g. because the original newspaper is now in the public domain in both Germany and the US), you can upload it there and include it. - On a related copyright-note, please don't include direct links to copyrighted materials, such as the "Schriftenreihe Stadtarchiv Kirchheim unter Teck" source if they were published without clear evidence of permission from the owner. Blablubbs|talk 18:30, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
- Vintageautomobile, looks good to go copyright-wise now – I have put in a redaction request for the previous revisions; once that's done, I will likely be accepting the draft. Blablubbs|talk 18:47, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

- Vintageautomobile, I've already removed the links again – since some of the materials hosted on your website seem to be books published by various other authors. I'm not entirely sure of the legal background here, so I think it's best to leave it out for now. Thank you very much for you decidaction, time and guidance. Very kind and helpful indeed. Thanks also for taking out the PDF links. For my own website, I had made sure that I was given written permission by all the authors to display PDFs of their articles and book chapters. But I realize that it is difficult to link this on wikipedia, when I do not provide this proof. I will just put an link to my Literature sub-Website page. So people can follow the link without compromising Wikipedia by putting PDF links there. So I hope the article gets accepted. I will add some links to the Czech and German Wikipedia pages on the car and the biography. They are more complete than what I supplied here. Maybe once the article is accepted I will slowly make it more comprehensive ..... but English not being my native language, this will take some time. But I think I understood that I could link original articles from the 1920, as their copyright has expired. Right? Thanks again a lot. Best regards from ... (at the moment) .... - Hi Vintageautomobile, I'm happy to help. You don't need to link to other Wikipedia's in the external links section; there's a "Languages" page in the lower left of the Wikipedia interface – as soon as the page goes live, the pages will be linked. I have now cleaned up the external links and linked to the Czech and German Wikipedia pages about Gatter directly from the article using the {{ill}} template; you can see what exactly I did here. As for articles and public domain, I can't give you a blanket check there; you will have to examine the individual copyright situations, though it's very likely that they are going to be PD. You may want to have a peek at Wikipedia:Public domain for more information. Best regards from snowy Switzerland, Blablubbs|talk 13:08, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
Why did you edit a page?
Hello, may I ask why you edited the William John Leonard Beel wiki page please? Harrylock2004 (talk) 20:36, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- Harrylock2004, I reverted your edit because the addition, especially the

part, did not appear constructive to me. We also generally generally don't include the names of family members, especially not when they aren't sourced. Blablubbs|talk 20:43, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Dear Blablubbs,
You have sent me a message inquiring about any compensation I receive. I do not receive any compensation and I think my edits and contribution are well researched and referenced. Most of them are translations from the German wikipedia (which tends to be very strict on relevance and so on).

Sources
Can you tell me how you get your sources. Also, Wikipedia has seriously little info on most topics. Let's continue to fill them up Hido F (talk) 18:16, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi there, Hido F. Which sorts of sources are relevant very much depends on the topic you're working on. Generally speaking, just plugging keywords into Google or library catalogues – especially those that also index scientific papers, is a good start. Do you have any specific topic you're interested in? Blablubbs|talk 21:24, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
DYK for Hannibal (network)
On 9 December 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hannibal (network), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the far-right "Hannibal" network has been likened to a "shadow army"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hannibal (network). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Hannibal (network)), and it may be added to the statistics page if it received over 400 views per hour. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

- Congratulations! With 10,788 views, your Hannibal (network) hook is one of the most viewed hooks for the month of December. Even more impressive given that it appeared in a 12-hour queue and was not in the lead/photo slot. Accordingly, it has been included at DYKSTATS December. Keep up the good work! COI Edits Request Conversation for Rajiv Shah
Hi User:Blablubbs: I see you recently added a banner to the Rockefeller Foundation page, which seems appropriate. A similar banner appears on their President’s page Rajiv Shah, again appropriate. The reason I’m writing to you is, I’m 95% sure I’m about to be engaged to do some paid editing on his page (not yet official). I know the rules about disclosing my COI and am dedicated to following them. I’m also aware I can’t make edits myself. I was wondering if you would work with me to review my suggested edits and, if appropriate, implement them? His office was recently working with someone who doesn’t understand the rules of Wikipedia, which I’m thinking is at least part of the reason for your banner. I have advised them to stop. Dr. Shah would like to add to the Rockefeller Foundation section. This is a very long article, and I see that some language could be considered promotional. My edits will use the proper language, and acceptable sources. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to your reply. LeepKendall (talk) 18:15, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi there LeepKendall, thanks for your message. I can't promise you close collaboration since I can get fairly busy at times, but I do handle COI edit requests: I'd recommend you file normal edit requests and I'll do my best to help out with answering them. CSD (G11) for article "Louis Wright (digital operator)"
Hi!
I just wanted to say that I have chosen to nominate Louis Wright (digital operator) for CSD G11. I initially thought that AfD is sufficient, but after discovering incriminating evidence on Uncyclopedia (see here), where the same user attempts to promote themselves once again, the evidence is clearly unambiguous and sufficient for CSD.
I'm notifying you because you created the original AfD.
Have a good day, KevTYD (wake up) 02:35, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- KevTYD, thanks – and thanks for the laugh; creating spam bios on uncyclopedia of all places is... quite something. I had attempted to speedy it twice but was reverted two times and decided it wasn't worth edit-warring over (and deletion at AfD makes subsequent deletion easier). The article was also initially marked as reviewed by davidwr, so I might have missed something here. Blablubbs|talk 02:42, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Blablubbs: The review was an "automatic" review (well, there was a check-box I forgot to uncheck) by Twinkle when I was doing something else.[2] I've since turned off that setting so it shouldn't happen again. I take full responsibility for that mistaken review. Spicy "un-reviewed" it, for which I am thankful. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 06:29, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
Undisclosed paid tag on Monzo page
Hi there, I see you've added a "Undisclosed paid" tag on theMonzo page, as part of sockpuppet investigation.
Could we get this removed soonish please? Absolutely nothing to do with the bank, and obviously a bit concerning for customers.
Thanks, Cookywook (talk) 09:40, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Cookywook, thanks for your message. Looking at that page, the amount of activity by VentureKit and company makes it impossible to believe for me that this wasn't a specific target of theirs. I also spot a handful of other obvious UPE accounts and one or two SPAs, and that's without looking at IP contributions. There is no doubt in my mind that this page was edited in exchange for undisclosed payments; whether on behalf of the bank, an investor, a competitor or some combination of the three I do not know, but the changes made need a thorough examination. Only then should the tag be removed.
- To be frank: Whether it is concerning for customers or not isn't a concern for me – what I am concerned about is the integrity of the encyclopaedia, which is why I placed the tag. I appreciate you trying to be transparent and file edit requests; on the off chance that this activity does have something with the bank, I want ask you to stick to those edit requests from here on out. On a tangent, could I also ask you to also insert a COI disclosure on your userpage, using the {{paid}} template? It's not strictly required, but often helpful. Best, Blablubbs|talk 10:28, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you, I've added the entry to my own page. To be clear, those are the only edits I've made to the Monzo page (or anywhere on Wikipedia). I'll also make sure the team internally know to make these requests (we have over 1,500 employees and I'm not aware of what they're all up to online). We also have passionate community members who might occasionally make these changes on our behalf with our oversight.
- My question is how exactly we appeal this move. We 100% do not recognise this user or their activity. It's simply nothing to do with us, however you'd like us to prove that. Looking at the user and their edits I genuinely think they're just someone who's passionate about startups and US tech companies. All their edits appear to be about our US activity, which we're not doing any PR push or marketing around at the moment, so isn't even in line with our company goals at present.
- If it's not possible to remove the notice. How long do these investigations take? Cookywook (talk) 11:07, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for adding the disclosure, Cookywook. As I said, I am not accusing Monzo itself of anything – I am also not asking you to prove innocence, and this tag is not about the company, it's about Wikipedia. These changes may have been made by an outside PR firm you retain, by a competitor, on behalf of an investor... there are a number of possibilities. As someone who does a lot of work to combat unethical – and sometimes illegal – paid editing on Wikipedia, I can however assure you that the VentureKit group isn't merely passionate about lots of companies and businesspeople. Editors with such a passion don't abuse multiple accounts, and neither do they edit only within a 5 to 8 hour window, only from Monday to Friday. The tag will be removed as soon as an editor has time to review the article, but there is no strict timeline, I'm afraid. Best, Blablubbs|talk 11:50, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- If it's not possible to remove the notice. How long do these investigations take? Cookywook (talk) 11:07, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- That is incredibly frustrating and surely means any page is vulnerable to an 'attack' in this way by literally any other person or company. But ok, I understand. Thank you. Cookywook (talk) 12:58, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

SPI clerk training
Hi – I see you're interested in becoming an SPI clerk, and I'm willing to train you if you're willing to learn from me and if you're willing to wait until mid-January to begin.
I have trained two of the current clerks, Sir Sputnik and Cabayi (pinging both victims extraordinarily lovely people so they can extol my praises, tell you to run for the hills screaming in terror, or express their utter indifference). I do my clerk training on-wiki for two reasons: first and foremost, so the other clerks can chime in and help where necessary, and second, so you'll have a static place to go to ask questions of me and others. Discord, TeamSpeak, Zoom, and IRC are fine places and I can be found on IRC and TeamSpeak from time to time, but I don't think they're suitable for this kind of long-term training.
It will take about a month to get you to the point where I think I can turn you loose to work without close supervision. Obviously, the timeline depends on how fast we work through things, commitments we have in real life, and how many questions you have as we go. After roughly four months of training (maybe more, unlikely to be less), I'll ask the functionaries if they feel you're ready for promotion to full clerk status.
Now for the warning label: You should be aware that SPI clerks face an increased amount of scrutiny and sometimes harassment. Impersonation with profane and obscene variants of your username is a primary method used by some of the more prolific sockmasters. I choose to laugh at it and ignore it, as do most of the other CUs and many of the clerks. We can suppress some of the worst of it, but we won't be able to get it all. If anonymity is important to you, you should take steps now to put protections in place. Google your real name and your username on a regular basis, along with variants of your username/doppelgangers, like common misspellings. If any of these things bother you, you should reconsider becoming a clerk. If you'd like to talk about it before committing, feel free to email me or any of the current CUs or clerks. We're happy to talk about our experiences.
If this is all acceptable to you, let me know and I'll work the training into my calendar. I have a real life commitment on US MLK day that will take until the middle of that week, and prior to that I'll be busy working to on-board our new arbitrators and work on CU training for them. After that, I should be free, but if anything changes, I'll be sure to let you know. Hope to hear from you soon. :-) Katietalk 16:49, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Katie was absolutely the best SPI trainer I had! Some days the role feels like you're on the front line saving the wiki, and other days like you're repeatedly flushing a toilet only to have the same mess reappear. I wish you well however you choose, Cabayi (talk) 18:02, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Katie. I'm excited about this offer and I'll gladly accept it, especially after Cabayi's endorsement. I'm aware of the risks this might carry; as far as I can tell, I'm pretty well locked-down with regard to privacy and have relatively thick skin. Time-wise, this works well for me – given the ongoing global wave of awfulness, I'm fairly flexible in that regard. Many thanks; I look forward to working with you. User keeps on trying to vandalize the civilian Wikipedia page
Someone again tried to sabotage the definition of a civilian then have to use to point out that other users are right in correcting my mistakes even though he/she doesn't have any proof. You reverse a vandalism in this page before, I urge your intervention because I don't want to take the chance of turning this arguments into something ugly. Thank you, my current talk pages.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:XXzoonamiXX#Civilian_and_%22400_Things_Cops_Know%22 XXzoonamiXX (talk) 15:13, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi there, XXzoonamiXX. As far as I can tell, this appears to be a content dispute between you and Aquillion – I don't see anything here that resembles vandalism. Have you considered dispute resolution? Blablubbs|talk 15:18, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- The reason because I've seen arguments that reverts to vandalizing the page anyways, and some users I have argued don't care and do their own thing even though my arguments are in the right. Users often points out content in the civilian article for years, but don't actually dispute them or don't care if he/she doesn't get what he/she wanted. Dispute resolutions don't work for me in years as no one else intervenes, and I have used it before. All I'm asking is for intervention not because you think I'm right, but I don't think the user has a right to reverse back the page once he doesn't get what he wants. The guy tried to remove the civilian definition that doesn't include firemen and police, and adds them as second-rate/disputed arguments in spite of other proper sources. It's one thing to remove a source that is wrong, but it's another to use it as an excuse to re-add back the outdated definition. If DR actually works, I wouldn't have come to ask you. XXzoonamiXX (talk) 15:24, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Please, have you considered this? XXzoonamiXX (talk) 15:46, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- XXzoonamiXX, edits you disagree with don't constitute vandalism; while it's true that edit warring is disruptive, it isn't vandalism either. I won't proxy for people in content disputes, especially not on a page that I have no involvement in. I urge you to resolve this by peacefully talking it out. Thanks. Blablubbs|talk 15:53, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

FRIB edit
Thank you for your help with the edits to the FRIB page. I am working on updating the page along the guidelines you provided. Let me know if I should be doing anything differently. KK at FRIB (talk) 20:44, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi KK at FRIB, thanks for your message. As I noted on your talk page, paid editors are strongly discouraged from editing pages directly; edit requests should be used instead, except for completely uncontroversial edits (typo fixes, vandalism reversion, that sort of thing). The easiest way to do this is by using the edit request wizard. Some general advice to write edit requests that will be actioned quickly: Provide well-formatted references, make sure to split them into smaller chunks and be very clear about what you want added and what you want to have removed. It isn't strictly required since I see that davidwr has added a template to the article talk page for you (thanks David!), but I still want to ask you to also disclose your conflict of interest on your userpage by inserting the following template on there: {{paid|employer=Facility for Rare Isotope Beams}}. You will probably also want to read the relevant guidelines at WP:COI, but feel free to ping me or drop me a message here if there is something I can help out with. Please help me, request from DashGraham
I received a notice from you that you think I'm being paid to make edits. I'm not. I just am editing pages that I have an interest in - and have read that there are not many women contributing the platform. There was an interesting letter to the editors of the New Yorker in the Dec. 14 issue. The person noted that "Fewer than twenty percent of Wikipedia's editors are women; as a result, the site often exhibits and perpetuates gender bias. Only nineteen percent of its biographical pages feature women, and many articles on gendered topics lack a neutral point of view. This is frightening, given that Wikipedia is now many people's go-to information source." Given this, I thought I'd put my skills to use and make some contributions to the platform. I worked with Pam Edstrom many years ago and have deep respect for the work and impact she has had on the PR and communications industry, including pioneering a process for product reviews for software. I want to make sure she is included in history. She deserves to be recognized by history. There are many more articles that have been written about her and I started a search with the Seattle Public Library. I need to figure out how to include those. I also feel likes others will make updates to the article once it is live. P.S. I'm forgetting how to sign my pages and hope I have done this in the correct manner. User:DashGraham DashGraham (talk) 00:55, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hello DashGraham, I hope you don't mind me replying here; I reviewed your draft after Blablubbs and I discussed it off-wiki. First of all, I agree with you that Pam Edstrom is notable and deserves a place on Wikipedia; coverage in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Fortune makes that clear. What makes me a little hesitant, though, is that I see you've been working on a lot of articles about subjects prone to paid editing, such as businesspeople, contemporary authors, and organizations. Often, when users focus on these sort of subjects and it's not exactly clear what drives their interest in them, it turns out to be paid editing.
- Now, I'm not saying that's necessarily the case here, just explaining why Blablubbs and I might have concerns. But from the outside looking in, it's hard for me to tell what would make someone motivated to work on articles about Jonathan Sposato, Colleen Moffitt, Frank X. Shaw and the United States Lavender Growers Association. It would be helpful if you could share the reasons behind your interest in these topics.
- I also saw that you uploaded a picture of Patricia Clark on Commons, and it doesn't seem to be available anywhere outside of Wikipedia. That implies that you have a connection of some sort to the subject. You've mentioned above that you worked with Pam Edstrom, which would be considered a conflict of interest, although a minor one, and according to Wikipedia's guidelines, should be disclosed; if you're personally connected to any other subject you've written about, that should be disclosed as well. Thanks, Spicy (talk) 02:56, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hello spicy Thank you for reviewing this and for taking the time to reply. My motivation primarily stems from my curiosity about these people or the organization's work. I truly want to better understand their backgrounds, business history, awards, bodies of work, etc. and, once that research is done, have a record of it.
- For instance, Jonathan Sposato intrigued me, I have met him, but I don't know him well and have never worked for him. I took it upon myself to research him and once that was done, I thought it would be neat to create a page for him, especially given his accomplishments with his book and building several successful businesses. He is also Asian American, and a minority in the business world.
- I also have a deep interest in literature and am working on a novel based loosely on the life of Lou Graham (Seattle madame). Given this, I follow other writers and poets closely. Another page that I'd like to create is for Kelli Jo Ford. Her debut novel, Crooked Hallelujah has been reviewed in the New York Times, the Washington Post, NPR, etc. She won a very prestigious award, the Plimpton Prize Winner and she's long listed for the PEN America Literary Awards. She also is a member of the Cherokee Nation. Again, I have met Kelli and will make sure that I disclose this should my creation privilege's remain intact.
- With regard to the image for Patricia Clark, I reached out to her over email to secure the photo. - DashGraham, sorry for the late reply. What you're saying makes sense, and I apologize for having jumped to conclusions. You don't have to worry about being blocked from editing; writing about people you know is permitted as long as the COI guidelines are followed, and it's quite understandable for a user not to be up to speed on every bit of Wikipedia policy. In regards to Kelli Jo Ford, I would say that with coverage in national publications & having won a major award, she is clearly notable and would make a good subject for an article. :)
- With regard to the image for Patricia Clark, I reached out to her over email to secure the photo. Again, moving forward, I promise that I will closely review and adhere to this policy: according to Wikipedia's guidelines, should be disclosed. I should have reviewed them more closely earlier, however, I would appreciate it if you didn't revoke my editing and creating privileges. I am absolutely not being paid by anyone to create this content. Thank you for consideration. DashGraham (talk) 17:18, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Articles on living businesspeople and contemporary companies/organizations, however, are some of the hardest subjects to write about on Wikipedia. Because these topics are frequent targets for paid editing, and because they tend to generate a lot of routine and non-independent coverage, they are held to higher standards for sourcing and notability. As you've seen, a few such articles have been deleted or declined already, and I'm not entirely sure that articles like Jonathan Sposato or Colleen Moffitt would survive if they were nominated for deletion.
- I've written my fair share of articles, but I've never really ventured into these sorts of topics, partially because they are difficult to write about, and partially because there are so many other topics, especially historical ones, where notability is absolutely clear and it's easy to find good sources. For example, if you're interested in writing about women, the Women in Red project keeps lists of potentially notable women that don't have articles. Some of those, such as those that have an entry in a dictionary of national biography or an encyclopedia, are pretty much de facto notable.
- Whatever you choose to write about, though, it is always best to use the highest-quality sources. The quality of sources matters much more than the quantity: on Wikipedia we'd consider a single article from the New York Times or NPR to be worth much more than 10 refs from a site like GeekWire or PR Week. You might like to take a look at WP:THREE, which is about the idea of demonstrating notability using only three sources.
- Oh, and a few minor points. With regards to the picture of Patricia Clark, just getting permission from her over email isn't enough to satisfy Wikipedia's copyright rules. You will have to get the photographer to follow the procedure at WP:Donating copyrighted materials in order to release the image under a free license. Do be aware that if they go through with this, anyone will be allowed to reuse the photo for any purpose, including commercial purposes, and the license is irrevocable. Last thing, I saw you've been adding articles you plan to write to the "requested articles" page. That page is for requesting that other users write an article... if you plan to write the article yourself, there's no need to post there. :)
- Let me know if you need any help understanding the COI guidelines and making the proper disclosures. Thanks and happy holidays, Spicy (talk) 17:43, 25 December 2020 (UTC)

Closing SPIs
Regarding Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MP1440, generally closing SPIs is for clerks and patrolling admins, but yes, I just forgot, so thanks. It would be best to leave it to the SPI team in the future, though. -- RoySmith (talk) 17:50, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- @RoySmith my sincere apologies and thanks for notifying me – I only closed because it seemed like you forgot to hit an SPIhelper button; I have no intention of messing with anything else (at least not until I'm allowed to ;) ). Happy holidays and best wishes, Blablubbs|talk 18:06, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

Removal of Section "Purported Corruption Charges" on Lt Gen Naweed Zaman's page
Dear Blablubbs
As part of a malicious agenda aimed at defaming the Pakistani military, a smear campaign was launched on social media by certain vested interests which falsely accused Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman and Lieutenant General Sajjad Ghani (ex corps commanders) for corruption and allegedly doing a plea bargain with National Accountability Bureau (NAB, the national watchdog on corruption).
These accusations were categorically denied and dubbed baseless by the then Director General Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (Pakistan’s Armed Forces Media Relations Wing) in 2017. Later on, in Oct 20, NAB also officially refuted all these allegations stating:
“Reportedly there is a malicious campaign of financial irregularities being launched on social media regarding two senior army officers i.e., Lt Gen Naweed Zaman and Lt Gen Sajjad Ghani. NAB categorically denies and clarifies that there is no case against the above officers in NAB, now or ever before. Therefore, any question of a plea bargain doesn’t arise.”
A criminal case against 20 individuals who have been passing on this news on social media has already been registered in Federal Investigation Agency, awaiting trial. All accused who have been presented themselves so far have offered unconditional apology.
Devoid of any facts, this smear campaign along with its mention in Wikipedia has greatly damaged d reputation of an upright and celebrated soldier of Pakistan Army and caused great pain and anguish to him and his extended family and social circle. It is, therefore, requested that this portion should remain deleted and not form part of respective Wikipedia page.

ACC tool access request approved
Thank you for your interest in the account creation process. I have verified that you have signed the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information and approved your request.
You may now access the interface here. Before you begin handling requests, please ensure you have read and understood the account creation guide and username policy to familiarize yourself with the process.
Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC mailing list following the instructions on that page. I also advise that you also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and you can get real time advice on how to handle requests.
Please note failure to correctly assess requests will result in suspension of tool access. Account creation is not a race, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Releasing personally identifying information (such as IP and email addresses), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated very seriously and will generally result in immediate suspension.
Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, and you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked as "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Account creator.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome! stwalkerster (talk) 13:51, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
