Question from Manwuel380 (06:51, 7 July 2021)
Hello, How can I make my article to be reviewed faster? --Manwuel380 (talk) 06:51, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- You can get your article reviewed faster if you are able to contact an auto reviewer or anyone who has the rights of reviewing articles, if not then the article would have to wait in line or in the queue of articles which have been submitted for review Ampimd (talk) 21:57, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- But kindly bear in mind that all the articles you create must meet the Wikipedia requirements and rules, if not then the article may never even pass a review whether through an auto reviewer or not Ampimd (talk) 21:59, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

I guess that's the essence of having that enthusiast spirit to create more and more. I don't know you much but I am proud of you and the impact you have made. I hope to make an impact with the articles I create too. I would be passing by for more inspiration and tit-bits. Kind Regard, Ampimd (talk) 22:18, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

I came across this
Hello there, I was Patrolling new articles and I came across AJ Akuoko-Sarpong, what are your thoughts? Furthermore whats your take on GhanaWeb and ModernGhana are they any good? Celestina007 (talk) 23:45, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, Thanks for reaching out. AJ Akuoko-Sarpong is quite notable including or if I may put it especially after she hosted Ghana's biggest music awards Ghana Music Awards 2021, Her article does not state that, perhaps that and a few other things would help reflect that she is notable.
- GhanaWeb has existed since 1999, it has a huge archive of information relating to politics, entertainment and sports. So personally I use it quite often in terms of references. ModernGhana however has been there since 2005 and has been following in the trends of GhanaWeb. I use that as well though its archives doesnt have as much information as GhanaWeb. But those two are reliable, unless you come across articles from their page that seem like adverts but most often they are good. Kind Regards, Ampimd (talk) 17:40, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oh okay. Celestina007 (talk) 17:35, 18 August 2021 (UTC)

Where are you getting the number five from? It was always 10 in the Premier League unless they changed it recently. – PeeJay 14:54, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- Hi PeeJay, there has been a change Since the 2012–13 season, a player needs to have played in a minimum of five matches for a title-winning team to qualify for a medal. This is down from the previous standard of 10 matches played. (List of Premier League winning players) Kindly read from this article, the top information along with its references. A google search would give you other sources alongside. But I guess even with this information it means he did not get a medal because his was in the 2010–11 season. I would leave a link on how to edit on wikipedia and the likes so you go through as well. Please check this Ghanaian user
Please check Mr. AdinkraNkyea. He keeps writing about a script known as ' 'Adinkra Nkya' ' claiming that it is a form of writing used by the Ashanti Empire and adopted today in Ghana as the formal writing. I've sent him countless messages for over one month teaching him what wikipedia is and what wikipedia is not but he keeps ignoring me. Just check his contributions, and you'll find out almost all his edits have been reverted. The source he uses is a certain website which he himself writes. He provides no substantial evidence. I believe he's just trying to advertise this script on wikipedia. He also submitted a draft based on this so called script and used the same website as a source but it was rejected. Please, can you check up on him and possibly restrict him? Thank you.(Kwesi Yema (talk) 17:21, 29 August 2021 (UTC))
Never said that it was used by the Asanteman. I said it is a simplified version of the Adinkra Nkyea. I said SOME Ghanaians use it, I never said it was an official writing system. Please reread the thing and put my contributions back up. And no I do not write it myself. Biswajit Mandal is the author of the article and his site Omniglot is a legitimate encyclopedia that talks about writing systems, Alive or Dead.
- Hello AdinkraNkyea, Please take note that you need to sign your message by using four of this sign ~ to show that you wrote the messages. Kindly also note that anything you put on Wikipedia must have a secondary source aside from primary sources. If not then anyone can just add anything by referencing anything anyhow and anywhere. Are you trying to say if I create something like this I can just add it to Wikipedia because some Ghanaians use it? You need to come clearer on what the Adinkra Nkyea and all is about and because from what I am reading it was started in 2015 with no reference to anything in history. If it was used in those historic times kindly find some references either than the website to prove that. Thats what Wikipedia is about, adding information and putting together facts and references to back it and those references shouldn't be from primary sources alone. Ampimd (talk) 00:24, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
AdinkraNkyea, this is your most recent edit on the page Ghana that was reverted.
Modern Ghanaians use Adinkra Nkyea, a writing system based on the Adinkra Symbols. The Akan Language and it's dialects uses the Adinkra Nkyea writing system. Majority of Adinkra Nkyea is deprived from the original Adinkra Symbols. Adinkra Nkyea contains some 39 characters, 10 numerals, and 3 punctuation marks.
You know the source says nothing about modern Ghanaians using any adinkra nkyea script. On top of that the last statement you added about the 39 characters, 10 numerals etc. need academic and verifiable sources to back it up. When I also checked the website of the source you shared, I realised that source also referenced your wikipedia draft on AdinkraNkyea as a source. That makes the website unreliable. We're not saying your article is a complete lie. The script seems to be a new thing created in 2015. There is not much coverage on it from peer reviewed academic scholars, linguistics personnel and reliable websites. If there is ever coverage on it properly one day, no one will have a problem with you creating or writing an article about it on wikipedia. Check this; Wikipedia:Notability. Hi How do I edit the page, help. Where can I start? --MdNahidIslam.Qa (talk) 04:22, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, You are welcome to Wikipedia, its exciting to know you want to know how to edit and where to start from. Its quite easy but you need to follow the rules. Wikipedia has a set of rules. Firstly you must know that anything you edit must be verifiable and you must add a reference. Ampimd (talk) 11:49, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

- I have left a welcome message on your talk page kindly go through it. Secondly, find subjects or articles you are interested in. It can be politics, sports, geography......related to Africa specifically Nigeria. So you look for those subjects and then look for what you can add to the article. But remember that anything you add to Wikipedia must be verifiable therefore you must add references from reputable websites and outlets. Ampimd (talk) 11:59, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

Hello. Can I add a picture to one of the articles in Wikipedia? --Toydoctor3 (talk) 21:24, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- Yes you can add an image to an article on Wikipedia. Firstly The picture must be a picture uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. It can be an image which has already been uploaded to the commons by someone or an image that you own the rights to (as in an image you took by your self) and so can upload and use or you upload an image which has the copyright law indicated as being in the public domain or has a copyright code that means you can share online. Ampimd (talk) 21:33, 13 October 2021 (UTC)
- There is an article of a German Submarine, U117 of 1917. It was one of six U-boats that were brought back by our navy used as war trophies open to the public for observation. My grand father was one of the crew that brought her back to NYC. I have pictures of the Capt and crew and the Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of War on the deck and entering the sub through a hatch. There is no copyright of the pictures and my grand father died in 1987 at age 90. I would like to post one of the pictures of the crew on deck with the Captain. The story of how the U-boat was apprehended is different than the story I was told but I have no way to verify the story I know. Am I able to use this picture without a copyright? Hi - I would be very grateful to have you or someone review Barbarabloemink/New sandbox for errors in formatting etc. and assist me in perfecting it so it can be uploaded as a wikipedia entry. Thank you! --Barbara Bloemink (talk) 19:29, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, Good day, I hope I can ask a few questions. Please is this article about yourself? I noticed your user page and the title of the article are the same name. Ampimd (talk) 20:05, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- Kindly reach out to me when you are available. Thanks Ampimd (talk) 20:37, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
- hi Ampimd - yes this article is about myself and yes I know that it is discouraged by Wikipedia so I have added sources to virtually every work to ensure that the entire entry is accurate and factual and what I would appreciate is help to ensure that all the sources are properly formatted. I have just published my 20th book, and as a former art museum director my publisher feels that as a 'noteworthy' person i need a wikipedia page. therefore before my book on the artist Florine Stettheimer is written up by major media i want to ensure that there is an entry and that it is properly formatted and correct. If there is ANY way that you can help me achieve this I would be most grateful! Thank you very much. Barbara Bloemink (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 19:19, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
- The articles has a lot of issues, including it being biased because it is an autobiography and a conflict of interest article as you may know since you are a researcher. In terms of ethics it does not look positive.
- Other than the above, the statements in the articles are difficult to verify. You have given links to the places and things in the article but you have not verified any of them.
- 1. For instance, Barbara's early childhood was spent living in Madrid, Spain, Bogota, Colombia and Sept-Iles, Canada, prior to returning to Rye, New York to attend White Plains high school.
- There is no reference to really show that you spent your early childhood in Madrid and the likes.
- 2. Another instance is this
- Bloemink was the curator of contemporary art before becoming the director and chief curator of the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, New York, [3] Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri, [4] Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in Virginia Beach, Virginia, [5] the managing director of the Guggenheim-Hermitage and the Guggenheim Las Vegas Museums in Las Vegas, Nevada, [6] director of the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado, [7] and the curatorial director of the Smithsonian's National Design Museum, Cooper-Hewitt in New York, New York.
- You have linked the places where you have curated, however you have not given any reference to show that you actually worked there. The references and links must back the statements you have provided. There must be a reference which actually states that you have been a curator at A, B, and C.
- 3. She has played leading roles in three films: “Medusa's Bakery," Directed by Sheru Arora, Reiley Production Company, 2021; the role of Liata in "Hers," 2020, Directed by Cely Riva, Herway Production Company; and has performed in a number of plays including playing Mrs. Hardwicke-Moore in Tennessee Williams Lady of Larkspur Lotion.
- This is another example, No reference to show that you have actually being in all these or performed in all these plays. Ampimd (talk) 22:41, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Ampimd - did you see my message above? I would be so very appreciative of your assistance with getting this biography up on Wikipedia - even though it is written by myself as I am highly "noteworthy" according to your definition and I have all the sources and factual information noted to verify everything in the content. I have another book about to come out so I would very much like to have the Wikipedia entry available to readers when it is published so they can see other publications should they wish to read them. Hi
yes i speak arabic but i prefer use english so all pp around can get info about arabic women football progress Amara94 (talk) 17:38, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Great! I noticed your articles on the Sudanese women's national team, unfortunately there are no match reports in terms of the starting line ups or database to verify their notability. If you can get such in arabic to add that would be good. Ampimd (talk) 18:27, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- i will trey its not easy to find theres no such source for women football theres no articals even in arabic its not that easy task if they will delt it i put the only artical i found
- @Amara94, That would be helpful, to ensure the articles relating to women's football especially the ones you have worked on are kept, else most of them especially the ones on the Sudanese footballers would be taken off until there is a good database either soccerway or global sports archive to verify. Since that is the most viable option perhaps lets await the database profiles, definitely the players would sooner or later play a friendly match or other competitive matches. Cheers for the good work and impact you are making in terms of African Football, if you need any help let me know. Ampimd (talk) 22:48, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, @Amara94, can you help out with this, can you go through the line up and list the line up here.
- [1] and [2] This would help in making sure the articles of the Sudanese women footballers are kept. Thank you. Ampimd (talk) 08:17, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
Sudanese women's footballers
Hello Ampimd. Can you help confirm appearances for more Sudanese women's footballers listed on here? I would gladly change my votes if you can help show appearances like you did for Nidal Fadlallah. Thanks! Paul Vaurie (talk) 00:10, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Paul Vaurie, I would look at the rest and identify them to confirm their appearances. Unfortunately I did not notice this message early so some of the articles have already been deleted. How do we go about it? Ampimd (talk) 08:14, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Question from Barbarabloemink on Barbara Bloemink (22:55, 19 November 2021)
My degree is an "M.A." not an "MFA" as I am an art historian not a visual artist. Thanks --Barbara Bloemink (talk) 22:55, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Barbarabloemink, The degree aspect can be changed, regarding the infobox it can not be changed because the rest do not have a connection to arts this is the infobox that best suits, there are some for footballers, politicians...etc. but there is a connection with art history and visual arts so this infobox would best suit the article.
- That is why within in it is stated that known for Art history and the title of the article actually talks about you being an art historian. Ampimd (talk) 23:02, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Good afternoon,
i have been here for 15 years so i know what i'm doing OK? He played 99,9999999999% of the time with Betis B, and he played ZERO SECONDS with the first team in Segunda División OK?
I will continue this cleanup, and believe me i will remove the "honour"! You don't believe me, please ask WP:FOOTY to see that is the way it is done (you get a bench presence in a cup final OK, you get the medal, but if you play zero matches in a league you do not!).
Have a nice weekend --193.137.135.2 (talk) 15:04, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Good afternoon,
- I am not sure I indicated that you did not know what you were about. In 2014-15 La Liga season, Marc-André ter Stegen played 0 matches in the the La Liga! However it is added as an honour on his article. If there is an indication that he was the back-up goalkeeper in 8 matches and was part of the first team then it is valid that he actually earned that honour not by removing it and using those word like he won the league with Betis my ass!! and linking and stating my name in the summary edit by way of attacking me, that was not necessary. Same way you are cleaning up the article, that was the same way I was also cleaning up the article. If you could do all the work on Wikipedia alone, I doubt then it would have been known as a community. Cheers!
- Have a wonderful weekend as well. Ampimd (talk) 16:24, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
I apologise for the summary, sincerely. The fact that ter Stegen has it in his article does not mean it is correct but whatever, i give up (i know Razak did not win that league, if WP wants incorrect info then OK man)! I am now continuing to clean up the article, adding more sources. Cheers! --193.137.135.2 (talk) 17:10, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Cleanup complete (don't worry, the WRONG honour is still there!). By the way, no need to write "Goal.com"/"Myjoyonline.com" in the title of a reference, that goes in the publisher field. And no need to add a language field when sources are in ENGLISH.
Regards, continue the good work --193.137.135.2 (talk) 18:39, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
