- Project news
- The Tag & Assess drive will be concluded at the end of April. After already assessing over 26,200 articles, there are still thousands of articles waiting to be reviewed. The vast majority of the Stub-class articles are available to review, and each article usually takes just a few seconds to complete. The top three reviewers so far are Big Bird (4,200), Peppage (2,010), and Bovineboy2008 (2,000). With many ranges still available, you can still compete for the top awards. If you already have a range selected, please finish them before end of the month. If you need assistance, contact one of the other reviewers. Instructions can be found on the drive's page.
- A new department was started to help provide instructions on working with images, audio files, and videos within film articles. Please review the page to learn more about using these mediums and to improve the page to make it more helpful for editors.
- A cleanup listing has been created to ensure that our project's older GA/FAs still meet the good and featured criteria. Please choose an article and help with either the images, prose, or citations. Helping to find reliable revisions now will make it much easier to maintain the articles in the future. Our project can only further improve with quality example articles for new editors while providing excellent articles for our readers. Several articles have already been completed which can be used for reference.
- The term for the current coordinators were extended from six months to a year to reduce the time it takes to prepare semi-annual elections. The next election will be held in September. More details can be seen at the main coordinator page.
- We currently have one FAC open, Alien Nation. Consider weighing in at the nomination page on what further improvements the article needs to meet the FA criteria.
- Our project currently has over 64,100 film-related articles, with 62,100 that have been assessed by our assessment department! Remember to always add the
{{Film|class=}} template to a film article's talk page so the project can get a better idea of what work still needs to be done. Below is a table showing a breakdown of our articles by class. Many of our unassessed articles have been reviewed thanks to participation in the Tag & Assess drive.
- Based on views, the top five most popular articles from our project this month were: Alice in Wonderland (2010 film), The Hurt Locker, Avatar (2009 film), 82nd Academy Awards, and Internet Movie Database. For a list of our project's top 1,000 most popular articles, see here. Consider helping to improve one of these articles that is seen by thousands to millions of people each month.
- Spotlight Update: Multiple films and film-related articles have reached GA and FA status in March 2010.
