Disambiguation link notification for September 1
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Debipaksha, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Abhijit Guha. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Need your help on article Purvanchal Expressway
Hi! Hope you are doing well. Just would like to bring to your kind notice of an incidence regarding the article Purvanchal Expressway. A user namely Akash Singh India has been continuously and constantly removing sourced data from the page. In the past, he has several times, inspite of being notified thoroughly of the edit war rulings of Wikipedia on his talk page, constantly broken 3 revert rule and engaged in edit war, while reverting and editing referenced info, making it one sided and biased, apparently inviting sockpuppetry allegations which now I believe is inevitable. Recently, he deleted the entire controversy section of the article “Purvanchal Expressway” which was sourced and put in by an unknown editor, I just restored the data citing unexplained sourced info removal, he has yet again responded with reverting, and mentioned this in my talk page, ”Good to see u back here. Tomorrow I will create criticism section in Agra-Lucknow Expressway with sources. This is just for your information.” I totally welcome if any editor edits or contributes to Wiki but am offended with the way he has responded, as if anyhow I was related to Agra Lucknow Expressway and by doing this he will probably take revenge, totally indicates that he is engaged in edit war. Also, there is already a section of controversy on article “Agra Lucknow Expressway”, I don’t understand what he meant to express by saying that he will create criticism page with sources, and at the same time removing criticism page of another expressway article. What I supposedly assume is that both expressways are built by different Chief Ministers of different political parties, and somehow or the other he has been violating Wiki neutrality guidelines with his edits being kind of sockpuppetry towards a political party. Need your help, as his engagement in edit war has been far more number of times, and any user would be far disappointed with such behaviour from fellow editors. Kindly look into this. Thank you! Shresthsingh71 (talk) 05:39, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- Please invite the editor to discuss on talk page. Unexplained removal/blanking is a bad practice. If there is 3RR, or behavioral/disruptive edits you may report at WP:ANI. You need to give relevant links. --Titodutta (talk) 08:23, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Move my created draft Riyana Sukla to article space
Hello @Titodutta: i had created an article named Riyana Sukla. An editor came and moved it into the draftspace and stated that it needs more citations. I have added three more references there in the draft. And after that I tried to move it to the article space but i am unable to move it. Can you please check the Draft:Riyana Sukla and move it to the article space? With regards. Batamore (talk) 10:54, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
- Pinging User:GermanKity to share views. --Titodutta (talk) 22:29, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Titodutta, Thank You for your notification. @Batamore: Still i can't see significant coverage about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. The draft is not yet ready to move into mainspace. GermanKity (talk) 05:17, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hi @GermanKity: [1] this article is about her works in Hindi Odia Punjabi industry in more than six films.[2] this article is about her acting in lead roles in the Hindi films ‘Lucknowi Ishq’, ‘Life Ki Aisi Ki Taisi’, ‘Mr MBA’ and ‘I Know You’ also about Her Odia film ‘E Dil Tate Deli’.[3] This article is about Riyana sukla playing a lead role in Ei dil tate deli and also for Riyana Sukla being featured in International magazine
[4] This article tells about her joining e dil tate deli cast [5] This article is about her role in Kashi as well as her upcoming lead role in Hindi films [6] This article is about her roles and it's release in OTT. So for this above reasons I belive the subject is meeting WP:GNG & WP:NACTOR. Batamore (talk) 14:59, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Batamore The article is too short. Although length is not a direct criteria to delete/accept/reject, the problem is in my opinion the length is affecting the establishment of notability. Or, in other words, it will be helpful for the reviewer, and the article will be more informative also if you add more details. For example, please see the article "Kajol" and specially the career section Kajol#Career and the way different works are narrated. So it is much more than a filmography list. The career section generally narrates a work, how was it important, and a person's involvement in it (role played, critical reception, award etc for the portrayal). I suggest you add a career section, and expand accordingly. The information should have reliable sources. Regards. --Titodutta (talk) 07:54, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
Hello, i have expanded the draft and added some new news articles to the draft. Now I request you to visit the draft and do the needful. Thanking you with regards Batamore (talk) 18:54, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Batamore, thanks for working on this. This is better now with the references and additional text you have added. I think this article is in the borderline, passes notability. I am moving it to mainspace. Please improve the article further. --Titodutta (talk) 00:56, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Hello, Thanks for moving the draft. I will try improving the article further. With regards Batamore (talk) 09:31, 31 August 2021 (UTC)

Query about Search Indian News
Hello, Tito. There used to be a very helpful tool for searching Indian news articles: http://searchindiannews.dx.am/index.html. But it is no longer active. I guess you developed that stuff. So, is there any other alternative to that tool? - NitinMlk (talk) 22:45, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hello NitinMlk, this can be used as a userscript that you can install at your Special:MyPage/common.js. --Titodutta (talk) 00:54, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- As I am totally unfamiliar with this stuff, I copy-pasted your script at User:NitinMlk/common.js and saved that page. If this is the way to install it, then please tell me how to use this script. - NitinMlk (talk) 19:19, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the script. It's working! - NitinMlk (talk) 20:32, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Actually you can add importScript('User:Titodutta/scripts/SearchHelper.js'); // Backlink: [[User:Titodutta/scripts/SearchHelper.js]] that calls the script, and there is no need to write all the lines. The way you have done is fine, specially if you want to tweak the code. The code is easy and you can add more options (such as Times of India, or say anything else), or tweak things. --Titodutta (talk) 23:15, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- I guess this importScript method is good because I won't miss your updates in the script. BTW, thanks again for this amazing search tool. - NitinMlk (talk) 20:31, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- User:NitinMlk, you may explore this page Wikipedia:User scripts/List and try a few scripts. This is full of excellent scripts. I can suggest a few, but it is always better to explore. Of course you need several days to check all. (I'd suggest not to install too many scripts at one shot, else later it is difficult to pick and remove unwanted/problematic script). --Titodutta (talk) 20:34, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- OK. I will try a few of them in the coming days. Thanks. - NitinMlk (talk) 20:37, 30 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi... Thank you for the invitation to Tag & Assess 2021. However, it will be useful if we can use some automatic bot for tagging purposes. One more thing: we have to also create Wikiproject Ladakh as Ladakh is now a separate union territory...@Soumitrahazra

ANI discussion
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Andlol17, disruptive editing and out of process draftifications with which you may have been involved. Thank you. 2409:4061:2C85:9787:51F7:1B0B:9DAC:9466 (talk) 16:11, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
- I do not have much to add there at this moment. I'll follow the discussion though. Note: the user has not been warned properly yet, yesterday I started to talk to them, but they have not responded to it or edited after that. If they return and continue to draftify/move pages such as Anandabazar, Aajkaal etc, that will be disruptive. I have not followed the Ranaghat news article, that was and is not in my watchlist. --Titodutta (talk) 16:19, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

- Kolpb, hello, it looks good over-all. I have made a couple of minor changes. Page protection
Hello, Tito da, Please have a look on Mishti doi article. Here an unregistered ip editor (variable ip address) continuously vandalising this page. I've warned one ip editor (173.66.13.40) here-User talk:173.66.13.40#September 2021. Please protect the page, so that only extended confirm editors can edit this page. -বাক্যবাগীশ (talk) 05:27, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
- বাক্যবাগীশ, how are you? This is more like a content dispute, than disruptive editing. Please do these things: please start a discussion on the talk page of the article, and write in details in support of your argument with references, b) invite the editor(s) on the talk page. c) please discuss and try to reach a conclusion point, d) notify relevant noticeboard such as WT:INB or Wikipedia talk:BANGLADESH, e) do not continuously revert edits, please note WP:BRD. Regards, --Titodutta (talk) 05:41, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
I'm good. But unable to understand the necessity of talk page discussion. Here: User talk:173.66.13.40#September 2021 I've mentioned the reason. Please check it out. বাক্যবাগীশ (talk) 05:53, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
- Let's understand this then. This is not a clear-cut disruptive edit. He is trying to add some information with reference. The Daily Star reference actually mentions some parts of the things he is stating. Now, I understand this is a common thing have dispute on food-origin here. For that reason, that needs to be discussed, and not continuously reverted. Where do you discuss this? There are two options (actually there are more than two options, for now, let's concentrate on these two): a) article talk page (where actually an article discussion takes place), b) editor's talk page (that's fine, but an article talk page is a place where you can invite more editors for comments, also note this is an IP address, so that address might change). As, you have started the discussion, please continue the discussion (at talk page or user talk page). Hope this helps. --Titodutta (talk) 06:01, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi Titodutta, thanks for creating User:Titodutta/scripts/SearchHelper.js – I have found it quite useful for NPP/AFD work. User:Titodutta/scripts/SearchHelper.js
Hi Tito, just to let you know that I edited (well, basically rewrote) User:Titodutta/scripts/SearchHelper.js to fix a cross-site scripting vulnerability I found in it. If an attacker left a fake Wikidata link containing malicious JavaScript code on a page with no official Wikidata link, then when a user visits that page and hovers the mouse over the Wikidata link, the attacker's code would be run. I fixed this by assembling the links using JQuery. Although only the final Wikidata link was actually vulnerable, I converted all the links, as using JQuery is less risky than assembling the links directly in HTML. — Mr. Stradivarius ♪ talk ♪ 15:16, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

- Following consensus at the 2021 RfA review, the autopatrolled user right has been removed from the administrators user group; admins can grant themselves the autopatrolled permission if they wish to remain autopatrolled.
- Additionally, consensus for proposal 6C of the 2021 RfA review has led to the creation of an administrative action review process. The purpose of this process will be to review individual administrator actions and individual actions taken by users holding advanced permissions.
- Following the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been appointed to the Arbitration Committee: Beeblebrox, Cabayi, Donald Albury, Enterprisey, Izno, Opabinia regalis, Worm That Turned, Wugapodes.
- The functionaries email list (functionaries-enlists.wikimedia.org) will no longer accept incoming emails apart from those sent by list members and WMF staff. Private concerns, apart from those requiring oversight, should be directly sent to the Arbitration Committee.
Article assessment and tag review
Hello Titodutta! :) Thank you for assessing Kyun Dooriyan for WikiProject India|music recently. I noticed that for WikiProject India, the article was rated as Stub-Class on the quality scale. Not including the track listing section, the article is 775 words long. It was my understanding that article with more than 500 words shouldn't be tagged as a stub, as per Wikipedia:Stub. Of course, I understand that it's not possible to assess an article as a stub (or not) based only on its length. But could I request you to please review the article again for length, organization and writing, to re-assess if it qualifies as Start class? I'd be very grateful. If not, please let me know what improvements need to be made to it before I request you for a review again. :)
Also, while I have your attention, could you also please take a look at the article: Tabeer (album). I don't see on its Talk page that it has been assessed and tagged at all for WikiProject India or for WikiProject Albums. Significant improvements have been made to the article recently. Thank you so much for your help and your contributions to Wikipedia. Happy new year! Priyanka2330 (talk) 09:18, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Priyanka2330, done both. I have added WP:Pakistan also. For track listing,
{{Track listing}}
sometimes look good. In the "See also" entries, you may add a very brief note (see WP:ALSO, read the portionEditors should provide a brief annotation when a link's relevance..
), possibly that will be helpful to understand the relevance. ---Titodutta (talk) 12:51, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, Titodutta. You're awesome! :) I especially appreciate your suggestions. I will add brief notes next to the See Also entries to help explain relevance. And yes, I did attempt to use Template:Track listing for the albums, but it was taking way too long to input the details for each track individually, so I'm saving that for when I have a little more time. I'll do it soon -- it will definitely look nicer with the template compared to a numbered list.
- As for WP:Pakistan, that works, thank you. For consistency though, you may wish to tag Muh Dikhai with WP:Pakistan as well.
- Related -- I also made comprehensive changes/improvements to the article Shafqat Amanat Ali and have posted in "WikiProject Pakistan/Assessment" to request a new assessment for B class or GA class on the Quality scale. Just wanted to let you know. If there's anything else I need to do to request a new assessment, please do let me know. অনেক ধন্যবাদ আর শুভ নববর্ষ. Priyanka2330 (talk) 01:47, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hello,Muh Dikhai – Done. Shafqat Amanat Ali, GA class is assessed after a review process, see WP:GAN. In my opinion, the article needs a lot of work, and does not meet GA criteria. These work include adding references to claims where citation is missing, rewrite lead following MOS:LEAD etc. Regards. --Titodutta (talk) 15:10, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you again, Titodutta. Your feedback is much appreciated. I'll wait for B-class review first and see if it makes the cut! Then I'll work on improving the article some more before nominating it for GA. Is it necessary to request B-class review and assessment in both "WikiProject Pakistan/Assessment" AND in "WikiProject Biography/Assessment"? Or is just one request enough? I don't want to waste people's time or cause effort duplication. Priyanka2330 (talk) 01:45, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

How we will see unregistered users
Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Hi User:Titodutta. Currently I am working on mountain pages. And today I have a created a page Padmanabh and inspiration for it I got from User:Goutam1962's wikidata entry. While dropping a message at his talk page, I read your message and I am aware about your work so I thought to clear a doubt. I am looking forward to recreate the mountain pages - the deleted and redirected ones of Goutam1962. But I am not aware about the past content so what sort of precautions I should take before embarking on to this work. RPSkokie (talk) 15:40, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hello RPSkokie, I am not an expert in this area (mountain-related articles), I can add only a few general observations: a) please note why those articles were deleted, and consider if those reasons are still applicable, b) please check WP:GEOLAND and other similar notability policy, c) please ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mountains, or active members of the project might help you as well. --Titodutta (talk) 22:20, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of An Unsuitable Boy
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on An Unsuitable Boy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Review the draft
Hello hope you are doing well. I had created an article named Arham Abbasi which was deleted previous day and the reason was G4. And the admin User:Justlettersandnumbers, who deleted the page suggested me that the article is better then the previous one and he/she told me to expand and submit the existing draft (Draft:Arham Abbasi) which has been created already by an another edit. I have expanded the draft and now I have selected the draft for review. So I will be thankful if you check and review the draft. Thank you in advance. Trakinwiki (talk) 05:08, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
Question about archives of Indian newspapers
Hi! I'm trying to find if there are Wikipedians in India who have access to the archives of the Times of India and The Hindu as I'm trying to find published newspaper articles about the Draft:American Embassy School in Delhi

WP:AFC Helper News
Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.
- AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
- The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.
Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Cheers, Primefac, via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 16:00, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
This article was deleted by Doczilla after an AfD probably due to WP:TOOSOON. I asked him to restore it and provided a source about the release date of the show, but he said to contact to an admin who can understand the language of the source, i.e. Bengali. So I came to you to request the restoration of the page. I could recreate, but that would be speedily deleted as per G4. If you don't restore, at least give me permission to recreate, otherwise it'll be CSDed. Thank you. Shinnosuke15, 11:29, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

The article BBD (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unreleased film since 2012 with no coverage on production to meet WP:NFF requirements. No GNG-worthy sources found in WP:BEFORE.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ab207 (talk) 08:11, 7 April 2022 (UTC)

Protection of my created page
Hi user Tito Dutta, I have created a page Ankur Warikoo. An unknown IP address is constantly doing up some wrong changes in the article.
