Hello!
Hai The9Man, Nice to meet you. Ramesh Ramaiah talk 20:06, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Good work so far reviewing new pages! I looked through several of your recent reviews, and only found one error: Shrouded Divine's sources are not considered reliable per Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources, so I've gone ahead and redirected it to the article about the band. Keep up the good work overall! signed, Rosguill talk 01:54, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

Btw, I wonder how do you manage to review so many pages in a day, it takes hours for me to review 10-20 pages. :) Is it experience or any other tips you would like to share? - The9Man | (talk) 06:31, 9 March 2020 (UTC)- i review a lot of redirects, which inflates my count quite a bit. Hello The9Man, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Prananath College, Khordha, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 explicitly excludes educational institutions. - @The9Man:, Yeah sure, definitely I will. Well actually the film titled during the announcement was Aadat (film). Then during the filming it was in the reliable sources mentioned Aadat Dairies (film). Then during the climax shoot it was stated Adhaat (film). I'm providing a number of sources which states the principal photography is started and the movie is delayed for release. "[1][2][3][4][5][6]". Thee sources are from the first day shoot to climax to the special song shoot with Iulia Vantur. Whereas Firrkie (film) source which states principal photography started are available on Google. But I do apologise as some of the source are considered unreliable with Wikipedia policy. "[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14]". I hope it could help you review the article. Thanks Dmuteg (talk) 04:02, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Request on 14:24:04, 18 March 2020 for assistance on AfC submission by Mathdestruction
Hi, Thanks for taking the time to look over my draft article. I would not be so concerned one way or another if an article I wrote ended up included in Wikipedia, except I think in this case the subject does fall on the side of notability, although very close to the line, I agree. First of all, I think the Boston Globe article is mainly about Kewalramani, is not a passing mention, and is a reliable source. Secondly, her position as the first female CEO of a pharma company gives her added status, and being a woman of color also contributes to her unique position, which I think helps to push her into notability. She is a good example of the struggle for diversification in the corporate world, and if I may add, her inclusion in the encyclopedia also improves Wikipedia's status as a more diverse repository for biographies of living people. I hope I can convince you that an article about her would enhance the encyclopedia, not detract. Thanks for your consideration. In the meantime I will keep my eyes open for more and better sources to back up my intuition about this article. Thanks for considering my plea.
(I am of course also open to any suggestions you might have about how I can get this article out of draft in any other way, since I pretty much have not found any other sources than what are already on the draft.)
Mathdestruction (talk) 14:24, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Mathdestruction: I understand your concern. But a BLP should satisfy the requirements of WP:PERSON to get into the mainspace. Also notability is not inherited. It is also taken to notice that she is not the CEO yet but will be taking charge in the future, an event which does not happen yet. - The9Man (Talk) 18:38, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

Submission declined
Hi, I noticed that, you have rejected my draft on Draft:Basab Chaudhuri . He is the current Vice Chancellor of West Bengal State University, located in West Bengal, India. 90% of the content on this page is directly based on the press coverage in the Millenium Post and the most circulated Bengali daily Anandabazar. Even his researchgate profile has been given as an external source. The information contained herein is partly extracted from the University website (Office of Vice Chancellor (VC). It's almost impossible for a man to get vast coverage and I don't think it should be the only criteria for a draft to get published. He is an well known academic in West Bengal and holds the designation of VC in a State University. I do belive that I have adequate notability and reliable sources to support the article. Now it's arduous for me to gather more sources to validate what I have written there. Please consider that. You can check the university website also. Thanks. P&O Ports
Hello i saw your redirect of P&O ports to P&O company. I first wanted to do the same but after reading P&O company page i thought it was about the 19th century british company while P&O ports is a subsidiary of DP World after P&O was acquired by DP world. Also, the port operator is called P&O ports rather than just P&O and there's also other subsidiaries such as p&O ferries. I'm not sure if they are the same thing or not as the P&O wiki page says the company became defunct while P&O ports is a company that was established in Dubai so I amnot sure. Appreciate any advice thank you Limghadar (talk) 11:29, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

If you or other reviewers come across articles in the queue where an acceptance/decline hinges on specialist knowledge, this list should serve to facilitate contact with a fellow reviewer.
To end on a positive note, the backlog has dropped below 1,500, so thanks for all of the hard work some of you have been putting into the AfC process!

Hi I am just reviewing this article and was going to PROD it on the grounds of WP:BLP1E, but then I saw you’d accepted it at AfC. I’m just wondering what you think about the BLP:1E question, and whether you think I’m missing something? Thanks Mccapra (talk) 08:11, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Mccapra, I was double-minded to take a call on this. However, I was somehow convinced about the notability. Hello! Thank you for reviewing and offering your thoughts on the Brian Tome Wikipedia page. Upon review of the article I agree with you stance on peacocking and am working on making edits to be more informative. Let me know if there are specific areas that you think are not being as subjective as the standard of Wikipedia, and Biographies should maintain.
Further, I see that there is a Notability strike on the page. I'm unsure on your thoughts on this and would love to know more about what you think is required for a pastor to be notable enough to warrant a Wikipedia page.

Hello The9Man,
- Your help can make a difference
NPP Sorting can be a great way to find pages needing new page patrolling that match your strengths and interests. Using ORES, it divides articles into topics such as Literature or Chemistry and on Geography. Take a look and see if you can find time to patrol a couple pages a day. With over 10,000 pages in the queue, the highest it's been since ACPERM, your help could really make a difference.
- Google Adds New Languages to Google Translate
In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.
- Discussions and Resources
- A discussion on handling new article creation by paid editors is ongoing at the Village Pump.
- Also at the Village Pump is a discussion about limiting participation at Articles for Deletion discussion.
- A proposed new speedy deletion criteria for certain kinds of redirects ended with no consensus.
- Also ending with no change was a proposal to change how we handle certain kinds of vector images.

SkyWay
Hello. I am writing to you about page SkyWay. A member of Yanmarka introduced the article about the ban on the company's activities in 17 countries, but there is no such amount in the given source. It also refers to a potential scam, but this is not indicated in the source. Help me figure this out, please. Also, if it was decided to introduce this information into the introduction, then I consider it necessary to remove the section of financial regulation and sections of countries where everything is very blurred. Thank you very much.Porar234 (talk) 07:42, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Hey, I'm sending you this message since you seem to have been involved in reviewing the Draft:K. Surendran (politician). Even though the submission was declined and was subject to a previous AfD discussion, the creator has attempted to bring it into the mainspace by moving K. Surendran to K. Surendran (writer) and appropriating the former space for the page of the politician. I've reverted the appropriation but would it be possible to restore it to the pre move state (Since the writer is the only one who's notable with that name) without breaking attribution? Anupama Pathak
Hey, as you described Anupama Pathak for poor and not be notable for her work. If she not done anything in her life so why media doing publising articles again and again. There is lot of peoples died due to corona but media not covraging that if a artist of person not done any major work it does not mean he or she done nothing. Its about her lifetime achievement as per media saying in thair articles she is working in Bhojpuri films and tv serials and after her death this matter is very essential or trending so i thought it must be move to her name.
Thank you. Its about her notability work its not about single work but its about her lifetime work. Kindly look into..

How can remove UDP Tag
Hello (The9Man), I created an article about tv actress Rashika Singh page is live on Wikipedia but a tag on top box
This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies, particularly neutral point of view. (July 2020) |
showing. I'm not taken any money from her. My friend knows that I usually do Wikipedia edits and he asks me to create a Wikipedia profile for her friend which is a tv actress in tv serials films and shorts films as well. I never take money for Wikipedia profiles. Lets me know how can remove such kind of thing from Wikipedia.
- Hello, I can see that the person who added the tag has been blocked for being a WP:SOCK. If you have no WP:COI or WP:PAID, cleanup the article as per WP:LOP and remove the tag yourself mentioning about your reasoning. - The9Man (Talk) 12:14, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Marcus Marr
Hi, I’m very confused as to the rejection of my proposed article. I’ve been told in the edit summary that the sources don’t determine notability (point 1 of WP:MUSIC), but I’ve shown his notability under WP:MUSIC, which he passes as he meets point 2 (through the ARIA source, a reputable publication), point 3 (through the ARIA source again) and point 11 (through the link in the edit summary). Given the notability guideline says that they need to meet *one* of the criteria (and he passes three at the least), could you please explain to me why my article has been declined when the subject clearly meets notability standards? I’m a relatively new Wikipedia user and this is only my second article so I’d very much appreciate your input on this. Thanks! ser! (let's discuss it). 14:40, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- While a subject may be considered notable having a single or album on any country's national music chart to pass the WP:MUSIC, this should be determined by the independent secondary sources as well WP:NRV. The 'number 8' claim is not supported by any of the independent sources. The references we have in this article is basically Primary (ARIA source), passing mention and the rest are interviews. I suggest you improve the article with more WP:RS. - The9Man (Talk) 13:22, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out, I thought I had added a reference for it and I've added a reference to the number 8 claim now. I'll have a further look at the article and see if I can improve it further before I re-submit it. All the best! ser! (let's discuss it). 22:35, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

Miss Teen World
Hi The9Man! I need your help, I did Miss Teen World contributions taking into account press releases and publications made about the contest since 2001, however Ayaat1998 reverted edits, I have read an "alert" and warning, preventing me from continuing with an impartial job that took me a whole day. I belive my contributios are correct, please, help me to cancel this warning and let me to write at Miss Teen World. The official contest emerged in Ecuador in 2001 by its founder Cesar Montece owner of the Queen of Ecuador company who died in 2009 https://www.eluniverso.com/2010/04/01/1/1379/murio-cesar-montece-empresario-belleza.html and for this reason was held as a new pageant under the same name in the US from 2009 to 2012. Due to a legal problem with Miss World he was forced to change the name of the pageant in the US, is called currently Miss Teen Continents. Montece's sister, president of the Queen of Ecuador Inc. company sold all rights to the pageant to Rodrigo Moreira, director of Miss Teen Ecuador in 2012. Montece had more than 20 beauty pageants in Ecuador. The website of that event was http://web.archive.org/web/20031229021751/http://www.queenofecuador.com.ec/ and on the web there are hundreds of referrals that can give you a more clear idea about it. Ayaat1998 is a user with bad intentions, who for some obscure reason asks to delete my user who has contributed neutrally to Wikipedia for many years.-->Jeniferliberman (talk) 19:07, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Jeniferliberman: I am afraid I can't be much of help in this case. WP:ANI is the place where you should raise these kind of concerns. - The9Man (Talk) 11:25, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
The article Connie Ma has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable tennis player, fails both WP:NTENNIS and WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Iffy★Chat -- 08:22, 11 September 2020 (UTC)

are correct, while "Scott Morrison is the Prime Minister of Australia" etc is wrong. ItsPugle (please ping on reply) 02:37, 19 September 2020 (UTC)

Win Rosenfeld
I saw you added a notability tag to Win Rosenfeld. I would like to know what I can do to improve it, which bits of information to add or remove. I would love any suggestions on what should be added to the page to make it notable. Cardei012597 (talk) 08:26, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Cardei012597: I see the mentioned references are WP:ROUTINE. I would like to see some significant and independent coverage on the subject to establish the notability. - The9Man (Talk) 08:43, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late response. I know that but, to be more specific, should there be more information about his personal life or family? I can add independent coverage, but I would like to know if there is something specific about the coverage you wanted. Cardei012597 (talk) 20:10, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
- I am concerned more about the notability part here rather than the additional information. - The9Man (Talk) 12:59, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- His notability does come more from his position as the CEO of Monkeypaw Productions, an Oscar winning company, rather than his television/film credits as producer. If this aspect should be elaborated on, I can do this effectively. If the recent additions to the page have not been viewed, I did briefly start on crafting an "Early life" section, his life before his many collaborations with Jordan Peele. I believe notability can be strengthened on Win Rosenfeld, but I would love to have some insight or suggestions on improving the page. Cardei012597 (talk) 22:49, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
- Notability is not inherited. Being the CEO of a company doesn't make him notable automatically. You have to establish it with WP:RS. - The9Man (Talk) 11:47, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

- I know that, there are reliable, independent third party sources on the page that state he position as CEO. All I want to know is should I add more to elaborate on his position as CEO, on top of the sources already included? If that is indeed the case, I can do that. There are many reliable sources online that state his position as CEO. Cardei012597 (talk) 19:55, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries
Hi there, re: this, please use edit summaries when reverting other editors. Reverting without explaining why is not very helpful to the other editor, who could be learning something about community processes, and it is not conducive to the "community" aspect of this community editing project. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:42, 16 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: I almost always leave an edit summary whenever it is required and possible [5]. In this particular case I had used the Rollback as the edit was an unexplained vandal by an editor who is consistently doing it for a few days on various pages. I tried to reason with her once [6] but she removed it from the talk page without any explanation. I can see @Vensatry: raised the same concern on their talk page currently. She has done the same here also [7], [8]. Even if we assume good faith in these edits, the unwillingness to learn or understand the policies even after multiple rollbacks and warnings are refractory. Do you still think we should keep reasoning in these conditions? - The9Man (Talk) 10:35, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for being diligent about using edit summaries. In this instance, however, since I was not aware of your history with the other editor, an edit summary like "User has been deleting images without explanation at various articles" would have helped me understand the rationale for the reversion. My point being: sometimes edit summaries aren't for the person being reverted, sometimes they're for other editors and administrators. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:04, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
- I understood your concern. But we can't' leave a summary when using the Rollback as far as I know (guide me if I am wrong). The thing I can do is to use the Rollback only in extreme conditions and use undo instead. I will keep this in mind. - The9Man (Talk) 07:21, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Maurice McGregor
Hello, The9Man. Thank you for editing my Maurice McGregor draft submission. I printed out the "Happy 100th Birthday, Dr. McGregor!" article and, to my chagrin, found that you are correct that I did not sufficiently paraphrase the original wording of Gillian Woodford. I have fixed that problem now, though I'm not sure how to remove the warning bulletin atop the Maurice McGregor entry.
One question:
Can you fix -- or tell me how to fix -- the sentence I am pasting below from that Wikipedia entry? I had originally intended it to be a "for more information" footnote, but I guess it can be included in the body of the article. But right now it is not showing up correctly in either the body of the article or in the footnote:
The results of McGill's own assessments – of dozens of interventions, from aortic valve bypass to gastric banding to prostate screening – are posted online for free access at The Technology Assessment Unit of McGill University Health Centre, https://muhc.ca/tau/page/links. This site features "Guidelines for Systematic Literature Search," co-authored by McGregor and published in 2013.</ref>
Thank you for your attentive work on editing this article. As a retired writer/editor/journalist, I know how time consuming editing can be! Soccermom22601 (talk) 17:11, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Soccermom22601: I have fixed the reference part for you. You can also add the same under 'External Links' heading at the end of the article if you wish to. However, you still need to work on the article before removing the warning because a good amount of content still matches with the non-free copyrighted source [9]. - The9Man (Talk) 13:10, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
I've read the relevant Wiki pages on need-to-change advisories on the top of entries, but it remains unclear to me as to how to get this advisory removed above the Maurice McGregor article that I drafted (I've corrected the problem): Soccermom22601 (talk) 00:58, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
This article or section contains close paraphrasing of a non-free copyrighted source, https://publications.mcgill.ca/medenews/2020/03/27/happy-100th-birthday-dr-mcgregor/. Relevant discussion may be found on the talk page. Ideas in this article should be expressed in an original manner. (October 2020) (Learn how and when to remove this template message)
I just saw your message in which you reasserted that I was basically plagiarizing an article published by McGill University. I actually printed out the reference article in question and compared it line-for-line with my revised version. Obviously, some of the facts are the same -- I mean, both articles point out that Maurice McGregor went straight from medical school into military service in Italy in 1942. But this fact can be gleaned from McGregor's online CV. I don't agree that the wording fails to be paraphrased in my latest version. For instance, there are only so many ways that one can describe in a few words the conflicts surrounding the end of apartheid in South Africa and McGregor's university role during that period. I hold a Doctor of Letters and spent 40 years as an editor on newspapers and with several universities, so I do understand "paraphrasing." I hope you will reconsider your stance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soccermom22601 (talk • contribs) 01:07, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Apologies for forgetting to sign the four tildes. I did find my way to the Earwig's Copyvio Detector. I found the following, which pertained entirely to a direct quote from something written and published by Maurice McGregor, which I put in italics (should I have done this some other way?) as the reason for flagging my supposed copyright violation. Here is what I am referring to:
Maurice McGregor Violation Unlikely 37.9% confidence macleans.ca/opinion/the-snc-lavalin-saga-aarggh-enough-already
In May 2019, at the age of 99, McGregor penned a letter to Canada’s leading news magazine, Maclean’s, in rebuttal of an essay that rationalized cheating. McGregor wrote: [I BEGAN THE ITALICS HERE] Without a commitment to live by shared ethical values, society will just not work. Ethics matter immensely (“I cheat for my kids. So do you,” Parenting, May 2019). We should not cheat for our kids unless we want them to grow up believing that is how the world works, and if enough people believe that is how it works, that is how it will work.[I ENDED THE ITALICS HERE]
As for the other supposed problems with not paraphrasing from publications.mcgill.ca/medenews/2020/03/27/happy-100th-birthday-dr-mcgregor, the software often detected the same or similar usage of official (and longish) French names of an organism (Conseil d’évaluation des technologies de la santé du Québec), or the same usage of the longish name of McGregor's university -- e.g., medical school at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Or a piece of medical technology described in the same manner in both articles -- e.g., clinically useful whole body oximeters. Or an official position he held -- e.g., founding chair of the Technology Assessment Unit. Surely, it would be absurd to require paraphrasing in such cases.Soccermom22601 (talk) 03:00, 24 October 2020 (UTC)

Unreviewed
Hi The9Man, May i please know as to why you marked Geeta Shakya as unreviewed? As per NPP, we need to mark AFDed pages as reviewed after tagging them.--Umakant Bhalerao (talk) 10:57, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Umakant Bhalerao: even though you 'can' mark it as reviewed, it is better to not mark as reviewed if it has a higher chance of Delete outcome since it allows the search engines to index the page [10].
I thought you might have done it mistakenly. You can mark it again if it was intentional. - The9Man (Talk) 11:51, 28 October 2020 (UTC)- I think there is a slight confusion here. New pages that are AFDed and marked as reviewed do not get crawled or indexed by search engines as they have the NOINDEX template which prevents search engines from crawling those pages. By the way, I did not mark the above page as patrolled myself. It was automatically marked as reviewed. I have been observing over the last few days that articles that have been AFDed are automatically being marked as reviewed whereas, earlier, we had to manually do it.--Umakant Bhalerao (talk) 14:09, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- I just saw that Twinkle is doing it automatically now. Sorry for the confusion. - The9Man (Talk) 10:33, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Article question
Hello The9Man,
Thank you for your update on the Draft: Crystal Johnson (singer) article. It appears that the article was previously on wikipedia for about a decade before improvements were made. Is there a reason why many actual documented references have been added, yet would cause disqualification at this time? I have read several of the wikipedia help pages, as well as formatting it the way other accepted articles have been written and I am trying to understand the rationale. The artist has had a fairly long career in entertainment, in a variety of noted areas. Any guidance you can give to assist with restoration would be most appreciated. Thank you! musiklova67 Musiklova67 (talk) 09:12, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Seventeenth Legislative Assembly of Bihar moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Seventeenth Legislative Assembly of Bihar, does not have enough infromation as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. New Page Patrol December Newsletter
Hello The9Man,
- Year in review
It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.
Rank | Username | Num reviews | Log |
---|---|---|---|
1 | DannyS712 bot III (talk) | 67,552 | Patrol Page Curation |

9 | Hughesdarren (talk) | 4,520 | Patrol Page Curation |
10 | Utopes (talk) | 3,958 | Patrol Page Curation |
- Reviewer of the Year
John B123 has been named reviewer of the year for 2020. John has held the permission for just over 6 months and in that time has helped cut into the queue by reviewing more than 18,000 articles. His talk page shows his efforts to communicate with users, upholding NPP's goal of nurturing new users and quality over quantity.
- NPP Technical Achievement Award
As a special recognition and thank you DannyS712 has been awarded the first NPP Technical Achievement Award. His work programming the bot has helped us patrol redirects tremendously - more than 60,000 redirects this past year. This has been a large contribution to New Page Patrol and definitely is worthy of recognition.

Regarding TVF Aspirants
You have renamed the page TVF Aspirants to Aspirants (web series) stating the reason TVF is its Production company.
FYI Have you ever visited the page TVF Tripling or TVF Pitchers they all are the Web series by The Viral Fever. They mostly plug in their brand in their shows. So kindly visit these pages and verify and edit it. Jogesh 69 (talk) 08:05, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- No, I didn't consider those pages, in fact, I suggest changing them as well. We don't need to follow the article naming from a branding perspective or do what the brand wants to show. You can see the poster itself to see the name of the show, it is 'Aspirants'. Adopt-a-user
Hey there! I'm NixV. I'm new to Wikipedia, and I'm loving it here so far. I stumbled across the Adopt-a-user page and noticed that you were listed as currently accepting adoptees, so I decided to get in touch.
I'm interested in becoming a better editor by gaining experience in editing across a broader range of topics and drafting and creating new articles. I'd also like to get involved with more back-end work on Wikipedia.
Articles I'm currently editing and working on are mostly related to top-flight sailing (see F50 and SailGP), but in the future I'd love to edit and create articles on other topics as well.
I should be quite active over the next few months as I'm currently on a summer break from my studies.
It would be absolutely great if you could help! :) NixV (talk) 14:05, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- NixV, Welcome to Wikipedia! By seeing your edits so far I believe you can be a great asset to the project. I will be happy to assist you in this journey.
I will set up your adoption school page in a day or two and we can start from there. Meanwhile, you can ask me questions on my talk page at any time if you have queries. - The9Man (Talk) 17:58, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

- Consensus has been reached to delete all books in the book namespace. There was rough consensus that the deleted books should still be available on request at WP:REFUND even after the namespace is removed.
- An RfC is open to discuss the next steps following a trial which automatically applied pending changes to TFAs.
- IP addresses of unregistered users are to be hidden from everyone. There is a rough draft of how IP addresses may be shown to users who need to see them. This currently details allowing administrators, checkusers, stewards and those with a new usergroup to view the full IP address of unregistered users. Editors with at least 500 edits and an account over a year old will be able to see all but the end of the IP address in the proposal. The ability to see the IP addresses hidden behind the mask would be dependent on agreeing to not share the parts of the IP address they can see with those who do not have access to the same information. Accessing part of or the full IP address of a masked editor would also be logged. Comments on the draft are being welcomed at the talk page.
- The community authorised COVID-19 general sanctions have been superseded by the COVID-19 discretionary sanctions following a motion at a case request. Alerts given and sanctions placed under the community authorised general sanctions are now considered alerts for and sanctions under the new discretionary sanctions.

Speedy deletion nomination of Alshair Fiyaz
Hello, The9Man
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Alshair Fiyaz for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Don't remove changes.
Because I do changes after research and continuously watching series "Anupamaa" since beginning and keeping a update on it's original version "Sreemoyee". There also Sreemoyee (Anupamaa) bears protagonist, Anindya, Rohit(Vanraj, Anuj) male lead, June(Kavya) antagonist, Pratyush aka Dinka (Samar) 2nd male lead, Ankita, Arna(Kinjal, Nandini) 2nd female lead tags. And they all are placed under main cast category because they are pillars of show and Rohit's character is placed at the last of main cast and so is Anuj. And actor Gaurav Khanna might have started shooting or will shoot from next week. Don't remove reference and term of character from his name. And please don't remove plot also. Because as a regular viewer of show I update it. I don't do test edits. I do actual edits which are necessary to update as the story and characters developed in the span of 1 year Pra2310 (talk) 09:35, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Pra2310, I appreciate your love for the show and your efforts to keep it updated. However, Wikipedia has certain policies and guidelines in place about what information allows on the site. In this case, WP:CASTLIST clearly defines 'Interpretations in the form of labels (e.g. protagonist, antagonist, villain, main character) should be avoided'. Please make your changes align with the policies. - The9Man (Talk) 10:03, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
ok. I have a request to you. Can you assist me in making article for Anagha Bhosale and Nidhi Shah aka Nandini and Kinjal? Pra2310 (talk) 10:27, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
And please help me in uploading image to someone's wikipedia. Pra2310 (talk) 10:54, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter September 2021
Hello The9Man,
Please join this discussion - there is increase in the abuse of Wikipedia and its processes by POV pushers, Paid Editors, and by holders of various user rights including Autopatrolled. Even our review systems themselves at AfC and NPR have been infiltrated. The good news is that detection is improving, but the downside is that it creates the need for a huge clean up - which of course adds to backlogs.
Copyright violations are also a serious issue. Most non-regular contributors do not understand why, and most of our Reviewers are not experts on copyright law - and can't be expected to be, but there is excellent, easy-to-follow advice on COPYVIO detection here.
At the time of the last newsletter (#25, December 2020) the backlog was only just over 2,000 articles. New Page Review is an official system. It's the only firewall against the inclusion of new, improper pages.
There are currently 706 New Page Reviewers plus a further 1,080 admins, but as much as nearly 90% of the patrolling is still being done by around only the 20 or so most regular patrollers.
If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process or its software.
Various awards are due to be allocated by the end of the year and barnstars are overdue. If you would like to manage this, please let us know. Indeed, if you are interested in coordinating NPR, it does not involve much time and the tasks are described here.
To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here. Sent to 827 users. 04:33, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
Please don't remove my changes again
Though I understand that it's not necessary to keep each and every scene in plot section. But atleast keep necessary events. And story of parallel leads also. A story can't run only due to protagonist, lead and negative leads. Parallel leads story is equally important. So atleast don't remove necessary events from their story or add separate section for parallel story arcs. Like in Yrkkh. In Anupamaa the protagonist is incomplete without parallel leads Samar, Nandini and Kinjal. So please don't remove my changes again from both plot as well as cast section Pra2310 (talk) 11:07, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
