Deletion pending for File:Crystal Johnson.jpg

[edit]

Hello, Musiklova67. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Crystal Johnson.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 14:38, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Crystal Johnson.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Crystal Johnson.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:10, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

October 2020

You're a fairly new user and perhaps not familiar with our guidelines, particularly the importance of writing from a neutral point of view. What is your connection with Sam Johnathan Johnson and Crystal Johnson? Deb (talk) 14:03, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that response. I am not convinced that either of these two people meets the notability criteria for inclusion. However, I have restored the Crystal Johnson article back to the poor state it was in even before you started trying to improve it, and I'm of a mind to put it into Draft space as it is really not up to scratch, and moreover it looks like it was created by the subject of the article. If you still wish to work on improving it, you'll be able to do so at Draft:Crystal Johnson (singer), and then you can submit it for review. Deb (talk) 03:18, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for providing the version to edit and the additional information, Deb. I will continue to review the guidelines for improving articles.

Please fix the draft to include more neutral language. When that is done, don't bother going through AfC again. Just delete the content here and copy and paste your draft over it. She is notable, and won't fail at AfD. Mottezen (talk) 06:27, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
