A tag has been placed on 3nen B-gumi Kinpachi Sensei, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

forms a redirect loop

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Cat chi? 18:21, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Re:Royal Canadian Mint - Vancouver 2010

Oh, thanks :) Yeah, I'll probably end up buying them too if I don't collect them all. I have all of the old provinces/territories by the way, and I'm in the process of getting all of the new ones too. Do you know where I can get a case for them? --Bolonium (talk) 20:58, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

re: AKB48

I was not aware of this development. Honestly, I haven't heard of anything about their latest single since it is difficult for me to acquire information. However, the incident is not serious enough to have it own article IMO, so perhaps we can create an article for the single, and incorporate this incident in a separate section on that article. It would be even better if we can find out which article in the Japanese Law prohibits this commercial strategy, but it won't be necessary if we can't find it.

Well, I haven't buy any other AKB48 merchandise lately, since it is hard to find any online store that sells them. (some sites do, however, sell their DVD, but they are all in region 3 codec and I can't play it...) So how did you buy their merchandise, given the fact that you are in Canada? --K kc chan (talk) 23:28, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure if this incident alone would meet Wikipedia's notability requirement, since the strategy has been called off and no one is pressing charge. We can implement it either way, if one way doesn't work then we can switch to another.
So are you an exchange student or an immigrant?
--K kc chan (talk) 23:49, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Just wondering... I have met many exchange students from Japan, but never an immigrant, and I thought you are an exchange student at first but wasn't sure. --K kc chan (talk) 00:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Asking for a favour

Hi, Staka! Nice to meet you! I'm here to ask you one favour - could you help me changing my username in Japanese wikipedia? Could you translate the following words into Japanese:

"Could you please change my username from "..." to ",,,". The reason: I want to have the same username in all wikipedias"

Thank you :) --Visconsus (talk) 19:27, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

どうもありがとう. Yes, we haven't meet before. Sorry if "hi!" and "nice to meet you!" sounded too casually. Well, if you want to know, my current name in Japanese wikipedia is A.A.J.S. and it will be changed to Viskonsas :) --Visconsus (talk) 20:09, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Shibuya Mark City, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Shibuya Mark City. -ReuvenkT C 16:42, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Densen Uta

Since some AKB48 members appear in Densen Uta, should we create an article for it? --K kc chan (talk) 06:52, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

That sounds like the plan. Is there a Japanese Wikipedia article about this movie? --K kc chan (talk) 16:34, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
I have just created the article Densen Uta. It's not much but it's a start. --K kc chan (talk) 17:50, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
We can add a section for the cast, put more information on the plot, and maybe how this movie was received in Japan. If you can't get the DVD, I may be able to take some snapshots from the clip and use them for the article. --K kc chan (talk) 22:31, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

I noticed that on the AKB48 article, there is a movie named Denshouka listed under the Movie category. Far as I know, the only movie AKB48 is involved as a group is Densen Uta. Do you think it's a simple mistake by some editors, or there is indeed a movie by that name? --K kc chan (talk) 23:44, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I am sorry for the long response time. Please note that I do not have a scanner, nor do I have access to coin images so I never thought about using images. AKB1じ59ふん!

Do you know if AKB1じ59ふん! is a regular TV program? If it is, then we probably should create an article for it. --K kc chan (talk) 16:18, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

I have not heard about the name change. Anyway, if we are to create an article for this program, do you think it would be better to romanize the name completely or simply AKB 1:59!? --K kc chan (talk) 22:16, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
It seems that the name change will occur in April. How about we start the article after that? --K kc chan (talk) 09:01, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:TeamTrinity.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:TeamTrinity.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Notability of Anna (singer)

A tag has been placed on Anna (singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. VG Newsletter

Hi, I noticed you removed an album cover image from the infobox for this band. I'm not sure that even with 2M unit sales, the album merits a separate article so this is the last use of the image, and it would be subject to deletion. I've not done much with bands lately so perhaps standards have changed... Do you have a reference to a project guideline or manual of style entry that supports this removal? Thanks. ++Lar: t/c 15:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

(Refactored from User_talk:Lar per my policy) I believe this could let you understand the Wikipedia's policy for the non-free album cover use on Wikipedia: Wikipedia:Non-free content#Images 2. Album covers cannot be used in the article for the band or artist itself. Also, only free images can be used to identify living people as it also says in that section. And I don't think that section of a guideline has been modified for a long time.. --staka (TC) 16:13, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
The only mention of the term "album cover" in that guideline (it's a guideline, not a policy, but I take guidelines seriously as a guide to accepted practice) is in reference to discography lists/articles. This is not a discography, it's the main article for the band. So that guideline doesn't support your removal, I don't think. Please keep researching if you would. Meanwhile I will see if enough information exists about the album itself to write a meaningful article on the album. If I can't find enough information, and you can't find a policy or guideline or style guide that addresses band articles (not discographies), I probably will be reverting your removal. Thanks for your efforts on behalf of the encyclopedia. ++Lar: t/c 16:38, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
I asked the question who hours ago here: Wikipedia:Help desk#Album covers for band article. That user said the album covers cannot be used in the discographies section or any sections for the identification of one small thing, however, he says that it can be used in the band's infobox, I believe. --staka (TC) 21:16, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the additional followup on that! So it sounds like it was a legitimate use. Meanwhile I did not find enough to write a spinout article on that album. So, shall I revert it back in or do you want to? Let me know. Happy editing! ++Lar: t/c 23:15, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
I have added back the album cover and also removed the fairuse orphan template from the album page. --staka (TC) 00:34, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks very much! I look forward to our future encounters... Happy editing! ++Lar: t/c 01:21, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. AfD nomination of Ashlyn Sanchez

I have nominated Ashlyn Sanchez, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ashlyn Sanchez. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Proposed deletion of Tiffany Thornton

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tiffany Thornton, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned non-free media (Image:PokemonPlatinum.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:PokemonPlatinum.jpg.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:31, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

"Odd kid"?

Did you not realize what you reverted to? The page doesn't really need the individual prices of bonus material.—Loveはドコ? (talkcontribs) 20:08, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Odd as in you removed and edited, minimized all the paragraphs but you didn't really italicize and watched for your grammar in your edit, so I had to fix.. and that was my edit summary for my edit towards your last edit. --staka (TC) 03:21, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Platinum

If you can find Japanese third party sites mentioning the new WiFi and Battle Frontier stuff, then it can be something to mention in the article. Otherwise, it's just trivial information that comes from the official site and materials.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 02:22, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Battle Frontier and stuff were added to the Emerald article when it existed. The differences from Diamond and Pearl section will remain the same size, not expanded at all, if these information can't be added. And may also not be reasonable to have its own article at all, like Emerald being merged to Ruby and Sapphire. --staka (TC) 03:03, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Just because something happens to one article doesn't mean it will happen to a similar article.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:16, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Well Emerald was merged.. meaning not notable enough to gain its own article since mainly the same as other two previous versions. --staka (TC) 15:58, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Akasaka Sacas

A tag has been placed on Akasaka Sacas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.
