Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 103.139.178.240. Place any further information here. Sanjida Tanaka (talk) 10:33, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline, as since your account is not directly blocked you are certainly able to edit from other IPs, and there is no block to lift. Yes, the IP you use is blocked ... and instead of trying to get it lifted, it would be better for you to go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow the directions there to request IP block exemption. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:38, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Adding unsourced content at Sam Billings

[edit]

Hi. Please stop adding a bowling action to Sam Billings. I've looked and I can't find any source which tells me that Billings is a right-arm medium pace bowler. None of the Kent annuals from recent years provide a bowling action for him and neither does CricInfo. Given that I've never seen him bowl a ball in the nets or ahead of a match, I find it extremely unlikely that he will ever get to use that bowling action. The article doesn't need it. Thanks. [edit]

Dear User. Please do not do unconstructive edits on Bangladesh cricket team article.

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bangladesh national cricket team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ICC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Image without license

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Poster of 2009-10 National Cricket League Twenty20.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2009 BigBoss T20 Premier League requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/rafique-fireworks-light-up-t20-premier-league-430751. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for uploading File:Poster of 2009 Big Boss T20 Premier League.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hello. The link you sourced from is from a news site that used a file photo of the tournament which was supposed to take place last year. The article about that tournament was deleted and there is yet to publish a logo of this years edition. You can see this by the year printed on the logo. Also your file is missing a lisence section. In Wikipedia the articles are considered different due to different years. The T20 tournament started fresh with all the result resetted. I have included the logo in the right page. Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.  A.A Prinon  Leave a dialogue 12:13, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, 2015–16 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). The use of "current"

[edit]

Hello. As you may have noticed, Wikipedia ages with time. If you write something like "current" or "currently" it's incredibly dangerous because people don't change it when the thing that is current stops being current and starts to become something from the past. In the lead paragraph or two, saying that someone is "currently" playing for such and such a major team or is "currently" the captain of something, can just about work. People see the lead regularly and change it.

Adding "current" in the dark depths of an article, where people rarely get to, is a really, really, really bad idea. Doing so for something not particularly notable is even worse. No one's every going to change it. You'll forget - and don't tell me you won't, because everyone does - and no one else will either remember - the few who might have noticed it in the first place, or anyone who noticed it and thought to themselves "ah, I'll have to get back to that when it changes". That's why we have articles about people who retired 10 years ago which say that they "currently" play for such and such a team.

So have a think before you revert me again. Trust me, what you're adding just now is a really bad idea. Blue Square Thing (talk) 07:53, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is his achievement in his cricket career to be involved in an Wisden cricket xi. Wisden titled it current. So not my fault to be blamed. Sanjida Tanaka (talk) 12:15, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But you have to be able to think about what happens when current becomes the past. Think ahead, otherwise wikipedia is even more out of date and full of errors than it already is. Wisden is published annually. This stuff changes every year. Blue Square Thing (talk) 16:53, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Murad Hasan.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vladlen Manilov / 04:30, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Banngabandhu Military Museum.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNsnnydPT3g. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.

An article you recently created, 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Women's Cricket League, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. License tagging for File:Benzamide Sample.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Benzamide Sample.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:30, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Sanjida Tanaka. I noticed that your recent edit to Benzamide added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:09, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Sumanuil: This editor did upload the file and it was linked/displaying properly at the time. But the image was deleted for licensing reasons, leaving a link that therefore became broken. DMacks (talk) 00:43, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's rare, but I guess I should have double-checked. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 00:52, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you remove the 2024 IPL subsection from his page? Presumably he will play IPL and other T20 tournaments for a while. So it makes sense for the section to be there. MaskedSinger (talk) 12:08, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to ICC Development Awards. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Notice

The article List of bowlers who have taken 100 or more wickets in Twenty20 International has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails GNG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
