Thanks you for issuing a warning that you did here. I'm not sure if this was automatic/generic, but I'd like to quickly ask for your advice on something, if that's alright. The edit blocked by the filter in question was pretty disturbing, and while its obviously a provocation of frustration, its one of the more serious WP:IUC comments I've received. I've been considering approaching an admin about their behavior, but I'm hesitant bc it's a. not in the mainspace and b. not a part of a repeated act of vandalism, which lessens the probability of further aggression. Do you think it warrants this in your opinion? Thanks again and have a wonderful week, sorry to trouble you.--Bettydaisies (talk) 07:15, 2 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Bettydaisies, no problem! I admit that the attempt made by the user was indeed disturbing and should not be tolerated. Its sometimes difficult to know whether they actually attempted to write this or something else since filters do report false-positives. But if this concerns you, you could try asking any admin to look into it. They'll tell you what should be done in this regard. Hope you have a great week as well. :) Ashleyyoursmile! 07:25, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

On 2 March 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article For the First Time (Black Country, New Road album), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. A Patient Man (film) moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, A Patient Man (film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Lights Up
Hello:
The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article "Lights Up" has been completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
I rewrote the reception section as you asked in a way I hope is acceptable to the reviewers. I changed this sentence in the Release and promotion section The following day, it impacted the UK contemporary radio as a single in that country.[38]
to read The following day, UK contemporary radio stations added it to their playlists.
which I think was the intention. Before I made this change I checked the citation #38 to see what it said, but I could find no mention of the song on it. You might want to look into this further.
Best of luck with the FA review moving forward.
Regards,

What's your success rate at AIV? Are you up for an RfA?
Per above. Lourdes 16:08, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Lourdes, I haven't really looked into my success rate, but I've had a few reports declined for accounts with no edits but my reports were made judging by the abuse filter triggers. I believe admins who deal with my reports regularly at the AIV would be able to attest it better than me. I do not have any immediate plans for an RfA. Ashleyyoursmile! 16:14, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Ashleyyoursmile, in a few months I think you'll be good to go for a RfA - I can't see any viable opposes given that you've helped an extraordinary number of GAs and are a great counter-vandalism patroller and your account is almost 2 years old, which is considered the minimum for most people :-) Pahunkat (talk) 17:17, 13 March 2021 (UTC)

- Not really Ashleyyoursmile, I only started contributing consistently a few months before, and I can see myself getting a bunch of content creation opposes (no GAs/FAs, struggling to find a topic that would produce an article long enough on something I'm interested in). Hopefully you'll be running for RfA by the end of the year, or maybe even sooner :-) Pahunkat (talk) 17:56, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
- Pahunkat, there is no minimum of 2 years for a RfA. Ashleyyoursmile would be neither the less a good candidate, of course. CommanderWaterford (talk) 11:29, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

- Fir drafts such as Draft:Adak::, just nomint for G11 speedy deeletion. The sooner this directory stuff is remvoed the better. If in doubt, ass the advertising deltion reason in addition to any otehr reason that applies.
- For anyoen who might habe published academic scientific and medicial papers, the relevant standard is not GNG, but WP:PROF. Thee;s a special notivce for the purpose.

Review request
Hi! Can you review this page?
Thank you! Byy2 (talk) 17:20, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Byy2, the page isn't ready to be reviewed yet. It is largely supported by one reliable and independent source, the article has no information on the background and release of the record, or provide any information on its composition or how it was promoted. Of course, all of these are not necessary but the readers would like to see at least a few of these in the article. Hope this helps, feel free to ping me if you need me to review it. :) Ashleyyoursmile! 04:32, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

- Sorry I am lost. I just consulted HJ Mitchell who previously protected the page. Hang fire and let's see what happens. --Coldtrack (talk) 19:58, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for message on HJ Mitchell's talk. What difference would it have made if the null edit were not made? --Coldtrack (talk) 20:30, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Coldtrack, had the null edit not been made then the last revision of the article would be the one made by the sock. So, if they arrive with a new account and wanted to undo any of the reverts made by either of us, they would be able to do that easily using the "undo" button. Because of the immediate dummy edit, the version they'd be attempting to restore would not be the same and they'd have to try do it manually. Ashleyyoursmile! 20:37, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- I know that if the null edit had not bee made then the sockpuppet would be the latest revision, but what is the problem with that? --Coldtrack (talk) 20:39, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Coldtrack, I think the purpose of the edit is the ensure that there is no confusion about the last good version of the article. Ashleyyoursmile! 20:44, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- There was no confusion in this particular case. I presume these accounts were Six Legged Patrol Handle???? The last account went in like a raging bull and reverted a bot. He then reverted you. I bet he never even saw that to do so, he only reverted himself in essence. Either way, a very simple comparison between revisions would have shown no difference. Therefore, the null edit is wholly without purpose. I see no reason if I encounter a similar scenario to make a null edit myself. You won't be able to rollback the sock anyhow. --Coldtrack (talk) 20:48, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

A draft I have
Hey Ashley. Hope all is well with you. Ik you're pretty busy on WP but I was wondering if you'd be interested in this draft I started a little while back. I don't have it in me to finish this presently so I figured I'd see if you wanted to take it over since you've done articles for them before. If you're not able to that's fine. I won't delete it just yet because of the work I put into it, and if I feel better I might take it up again, but for now it's open to you if you want. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 21:55, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
- Nice to hear from you, Carlobunnie. :) Long time. The draft looks very much ready for mainspace to me, just needing a bit of expansion of the "release and promotion" and "personnel" sections. I'd be happy to add them to the draft in the next few days. Any reason why you held off publishing it though? Ashleyyoursmile! 03:16, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Ashleyyoursmile: long story short, I wanted to have it in a better state of completion before publishing, but every time I attempted to work on it after the last dated edit to get it to that point, I'd think about all the things I hadn't added yet (i.e. a group of about 20 or so tabs for the P+R section sitting there waiting on me) and get really overwhelmed. So I left it alone altogether because it got too stressful, and never published it. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 03:34, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- Carlobunnie, I see. I will try to finish it off in that case and ping you once I feel it's ready. Ashleyyoursmile! 03:56, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
