I came across this award reviewing a draft and it appears to be a notable award mentioned in several articles. Thought you might be interested in creating an article. See also es:Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. S0091 (talk) 16:09, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, it has an entry in 8 language wikis. Definitely seems worth investigating, thanks! Valereee (talk) 17:37, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you open yet another thread (I kinda sound stupid but okay) with the response that you pasted? It is the most salient bit of info and is currently buried within replies. TrangaBellam (talk) 14:09, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, it appears that Joe lied when he told (and no less in boldface) that We have not shared any user data. He was (and is, even now) technically correct when he made that statement but *sigh*. TrangaBellam (talk) 14:10, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think we can assume "lied". I sometimes find emails in my wikipedia file that are weeks old and go "Oops". Valereee (talk) 12:59, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

November music

For a surprise, a Bach cantata is on the Main page today, where it was last year for the 300th anniversary, and they were too lazy to find something new ;) - Look at my story, and listen to the 3 whole-tone steps and the dialogues of Fear and Hope. - An open letter open to be signed (more info on the talk), - I haven't checked if you did, please ignore then. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:13, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A couple of inquiries

[edit]

Hi, Valereee. So, the appeal request resulted in a decline, which I understand and respect, and I again apologize for my not doing my homework on CTOPs. I however have a couple of questions if you don't mind.

Firstly, what exactly is this notice about, and what would I be expected to make a statement about? Again, this is all new to me so I appreciate your patience. Secondly, IOHANNVSVERVS, after I was topic banned, decided to revert a constructive edit I made replacing a meager image of a group of conversing soldiers with that of the Egyptian airstrike on the Old Tel Aviv central bus station, a crucial event of the war and the first major attack by either sides, as well as the one that initiated the large-scale armed conflict as a whole; along with undoing the removal of an article link that was linked twice in the same paragraph, in accordance with MOS:OL. Their reasoning, for the former, is that the edit is an "unilateral change", even though they changed the entirety of the infobox's image layout and inserted multi-image collages on this article, and on others (here and here), in the same manner. After examining WP:TBAN, I don't see anything stating that a productive or beneficent edit made prior to being banned can be reverted without any reasonable grounds. So, am I missing something here? Thanks. Snowstormfigorion (talk) 13:32, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

So, @Snowstormfigorion, first, let's clear up one extremely important thing: You are not allowed to discuss the Arab-Israeli conflict anywhere on Wikipedia except your own talk page, where you may discuss the topic ban with an administrator. You are violating your topic ban by coming in here to complain about IO reverting an edit of yours at an article that falls under the topic ban. You are going to need to understand this, and right now, as a topic ban violation is a blockable offense. You should take all those articles off your watch list. Pretend they don't exist.
Let's take this to your talk to discuss the Arbcom notification. Valereee (talk) 13:45, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Again, this is uncharted territory for me, so apologies again. Should I undo this entire section? Snowstormfigorion (talk) 13:53, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can strike everything starting with "Secondly", if you like. It'll show other admins you're making a good faith effort to avoid violating the tban. Valereee (talk) 15:01, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
