He was just duplicating for no apparent reason the same image[1]. It looked like vandalism and there were two subsequent edits, so I used roollback. I'm not sure on wheter he is a vandal or just an user that is toying around on articles. This edit makes me suspicious [2], (heh, disregard the rest of the post, my suspicions were correct, and he has just been blocked[3], he probably mase some useful stuff and then he got bored, or maybe they are two different editors using the same Tor node. I would review his changes to Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Georgia_(U.S._state)) but then he also makes useful edits [4]. I had just seen this edit of his [5] that made me make this scolding[6] and that made me too hasty with rollback. --Enric Naval (talk) 21:08, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, there was for a long time a guy using Tor nodes to make edits against homeopathy, that also made me more prone to using rollback --Enric Naval (talk) 21:09, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Rollback granted. :) I assure you it's very useful: I just had to use the rollback feature to revert all of that vandal's unreverted edits. Just remember it's only for reverting obvious vandalism, and not for use in revert-wars, and not to revert good-faith edits. For practice, you may want to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari21:30, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I accidentally posted a new message to your Archive 3. I sincerely apologize for my mistake. The text of that message is below:
Hi, I noticed that the University of West Georgia's plate only has a placeholder image. I may be able to photograph or scan an example of this plate, since I live very near UWG. Are there any preferred specifications as far as image size/quality/whatever, or is there anything else I should know before uploading an image for use in the special plates article? Aylad['ɑɪlæd]03:32, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Aylad! That would be great if you could get a picture of a real plate! However, there's another user that has many sockpuppets that prefers to create graphical representations of the real plates to replace any photo I've taken of a real plate, claiming that these images are, for whatever reason, superior. Personally, I think a picture of a real plate would be preferable to a photoshopped illustration, so I encourage you to go for it. The one criteria for plate photos that seems to have reached consensus, though, is that the plate shouldn't have any advertising around it, as with a plate frame from a car dealer or something. I hope you're successful! Qqqqqq (talk) 15:18, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, sure. I notice that the plates on that page all seem to have generic "000" numbers and no stickers... should I photoshop the real numbers out? Or are those the images the sock user has edited? Thanks for your help. Aylad['ɑɪlæd]15:53, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The current images on the page have all provided by the socks, which they substituted for the images of real plates I uploaded earlier. Many of these "000" images were just taken from the Georgia Dept of Revenue homepage, so I suspect that eventually they will be deleted for copyvio reasons. I think it's ok to have real plate numbers displayed because license plates aren't really sensitive pieces of information - otherwise they wouldn't be displayed on the car for all to see. I think the only privacy concern would be if the photo included the location of the car or something that could potentially reveal more information about the owner, but if it's just an image of the plate itself, that shouldn't cause any harm. Qqqqqq (talk) 15:59, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was wondering what the protocol was on putting up pictures of our variant license plates. I have an old Environment plate. I'm pretty sure a pic of that would be allowed because it's made by me of something I own. However if I just randomly take pictures of someone else's license plates that are valid with current registration that doesn't seem ethical. I'll do some searching and see if there are some public use photos from the state. As they are government made they would qualify as public domain. Skywayman (talk) 15:04, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Skywayman. I know that it's fine if you're the owner, since in AZ the vehicle owner also owns the plate, but there's been some disagreement over photographing others' plates, although I've yet to see any evidence at all to suggest that the practice is not legal. I'm not sure whether the state's images are in the public domain - that might apply only to federal government images. Qqqqqq (talk) 01:06, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I uploaded some images of our veteran and military support license plates and seem to have wandered right into the copyright dispute drama you hinted at. I'll email our DMV here in Arizona tomorrow and see if they will allow the images to be used. Also see if maybe they have some better ones. Skywayman (talk) 15:51, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I had a feeling. Best of luck - hopefully the state will be receptive, since promoting public awareness of their offerings is one of their prerogatives, anyway. Qqqqqq (talk) 18:07, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see that countybycounty listing that you have of your travels throughout the USA. I have a county map of the USA suitable for marking for travelling (I've done it for myself); would you like me to Email this user a copy of the map? Nyttend (talk) 05:00, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Socal gal! I see that you've made very good use of my basic formatting (some of which I got from others, some of which is original). Best of luck in your travels! Qqqqqq (talk) 16:44, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Did Missouri go to a new format in month expiration and do you have a source on this? The only plate I've seen so far was an August plate and did begin with P matching your table, but format I know also used P. I grew up in Missouri and the annually issued plates and 1980 maroon multi year plates did not use the format you have listed. They used the following format:
Jan A,V Feb B,D Mar C,L Apr E,F May G,H Jun K,J Jul M,N Aug P,R Sep S,W Oct X,T Nov Y,U Dec Z,Q
It's hard to source this online and they've been off the roads for 10 years now. I'm pretty sure I got them all correct except June. Very difficult to figure out which letter came first J or K. I found more annual plates with K and more maroon with J. The first letters seem to make a lot of sense and the second ones not so much. I think when they changed the plates every year it was rare to go to a second letter, although it did happen in a few months such as June. When they went to the maroon multi year plates in 1980 they probably made up a lot of second letters as they went along. I thought it was wise to abandon this format with the river graphic plates. Bringing it back means storing each months unused plates somewhere until next year. Skywayman (talk) 14:00, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Skywayman. Missouri did go to a new month-coded format on the new base. My source on this information, unfortunately, is purely word-of-mouth from another license plate collector, so at the very least I'll tag the chart I included in the article as needing a citation. I'll continue to look for official confirmation for this information, however. I do know that the first letters for May through August are correct, as I've observed these personally, but, again, I can't seem to find a good source that can corroborate, aside from photographs of such plates in use. I think, though, that the state seems to have tried to simplify the month letter codes by using adjacent letters for each month. The skipping of every-other letter from May to August, so far, seems to indicate that this is what they might have done, although it's unclear why February only received one letter under the new (if indeed it is new) system. What do you think? Qqqqqq (talk) 17:34, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
February you say? Interesting :) Because on the multi year maroons they held off adding a second letter as long as they could. When every other month hit xZZ-999 they went to the second letter. On February after hitting BZZ-999 they went to B1A-001. That was the first month to use that format. All others would eventually after both letters hit xZZ-999 though but February definately did it with their first letter first. I thought at the time that it was near the end of the 7 year lifespan they said the maroon plates would have when they were first issued so they were just holding back until new plates came out. That never happened for whatever reason and maroon plates continued until the river graphic 1998 plate came out. At any rate the plates you've seen match my listings too, although your list may confirm K was before J. October will the first time they differ so we'll see what happens then. I suspect you may be right about the second letters though. It wouldn't surprise me if they were reordered to be in a more logical alphabetical order. Skywayman (talk) 18:13, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe you'd want to add some of your information to the page article? The codes for the maroon base, for example, are not currently included. It seems that between us we should be able to make some good progress on this article. Qqqqqq (talk) 18:20, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was in Missouri the last couple of days. October plates definately start with U so your list appears to be correct. I also saw some truck plates, the format 1AB-234 is correct. I noticed though there is no remark for weight class. Our family has a truck there and the plate is marked BL6 for the weight class on the 98 plate. That notation has been used forever on Missouri plates. The second alpha letters A-S were BL6 (up to 6,000 pounds) and T-Z were BL12 (6,000-12,000 pounds). I didn't see any trucks that looked like they were in the BL12 weight class to see if the second alpha matched previous format. First alpha on trucks is matching month of expiration. In response to your second question, Coffman was elected as State Treasurer in 1998 and relected in 2002. He resigned in 2005 in order to re-join the Marines serving a tour-of-duty in Iraq. Upon Coffman's resignation as State Treasurer, Governor Bill Owens appointed State Senator Mark Hillman to the office. Hillman served as State Treasurer until 2006, when Coffman returned from Iraq and was able to serve as State Treasurer again. When Coffman decided to run for Secretary of State in the 2006 election, Hillman was the Republican nominee for State Treasurer, but was defeated by Democrat Cary Kennedy. I hope this answers your question, and please feel free to contact me on my Talk page if you have any further questions on this matter. --TommyBoy (talk) 07:15, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly I didn't have a reason to reverse, I was just going off of California's page. :) I'm not sure how I see how it is any easier, considering its the same thing only upside down. But I'm going to concede the point to you, since you've spent much more time on these articles. Also I'm having trouble figuring out how to split the years. Like half (or close to it) of 2003 O'Bannon was Gov. of Indiana and the other half Kernan was Gov. I can't figure that out for nothing. It's no big deal if it can't be fixed, I plan to add notes to explain any deaths, retirements, etc.HoosierStateTalk06:34, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, I managed to choose the only article that hadn't been reversed. HA! Yeah some of the office's are really difficult to find, the best I've come up with is the Indiana election division. But that only goes back so far. I plan to search the internet intensely as soon as I get some free time, yeah right... why do you think I'm on here at 2 a.m? ;) HoosierStateTalk06:53, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that explanation on row splitting. Although I'm still lost. Normally I can just look at other examples and get it pretty quickly but not with this task. Ugh. HoosierStateTalk06:53, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just figured out why editing that page in reverse makes it easier! I'm sure you know this but its because you can just adjust | rowspan=5 to say | rowspan=6 and you don't have to move anything. Now I get it! Well I'm off to catch some ZZZ's, feel free to do as you wish with the page, I'm flexible. HoosierStateTalk07:00, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That elections site should be a great resource going forward. As far as row-splitting goes, I'll see if I can't do the 2003 gubernatorial switch as an example (although likely tomorrow due to the time). Yeah, that's a main benefit of the other order. :) Qqqqqq (talk) 07:04, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay that's cool. Well there are only a couple of situations were splitting needs to occur, so far. The whole 2003 situation with Kernan and O'Bannon. And in 1944 there were 3 different Class 3 Senators. Frederick Van Nuys died, Samuel D. Jackson took over for most of '44 and then William E. Jenner finished out the year. I'm going to take a break and if you want you could do those real quick (well I don't know if it's actually quick). Thanks for all the help you've been giving me :). HoosierStateTalk20:04, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, looks good! I think I understand now too, so you've helped in more than 1 way. Although is that thick gray line above 1944 supposed to be there? HoosierStateTalk20:34, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there again, as you can see in 1925 I understand how to split. But no matter what I do I cannot get 1942 to cooperate. There needs to be a split between James Tucker & Maurice Robinson - could you lend a helping hand .... again? Thanks! HoosierStateTalk21:38, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
See I think you're having the same problem, it doesn't look split. I just looks like Tucker's term ends at 1942 and thats it. Are you seeing the same thing as me or am I just crazy? HoosierStateTalk21:51, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explaination, I thought that the text took up too much space and that was the problem. But I thought maybe the 1942 row would just expand to show the split. But oh well, its good enough for me. HoosierStateTalk22:02, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:
Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
Added a place for discussion at the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved. This can easily be accomplished by adding {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the page, which will automatically create a discussion section there.
Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.
When you checked... did you notice that the "Chambliss in sugar furor" went to the wrong article? The second article was linked twice instead. What did you think about that? Any chance you might've gone and looked for the correct article?--Dr who1975 (talk) 15:21, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You realize everything else about that citation was valid. It's a real newspaper article. Technically... I didn't even have to link it to anything on the internet.--Dr who1975 (talk) 15:23, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
None of the linked articles contained the word "harrass" or its variants. Another editor was trying to censor the entire section on Imperial Sugar by simply removing the entire thing; I was on your side in trying to rescue it, but I couldn't defend a mention of harrassment because it wasn't in the cited sources. I was supposed to go find some other article you had in mind? I'm not your research assistant. Qqqqqq (talk) 19:44, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Again.. please check the corrected link for "Chambliss in sugar furor". Sorry if I'm being short and reactionary. I got a little frustrated.--Dr who1975 (talk) 05:10, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Good Idea rounding to the tenth but I was just being precise, but if that's the way it needs to be great! Thanks for proofing my work! Bluedogtn (talk) 23:03, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hiya. I see you put the "under construction" template on Political party strength in New York. I just added D'Amato to that page and was planning on working on that page extensively myself. Are you starting from the beginning going forwards? I was thinkiing of starting in the present and working backwards. --Muboshgu (talk) 22:36, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Muboshgu! That would be great if you made some progress on this article. I placed it under construction because I just pasted the whole bunch of pre-1899 Governors from the article List of Governors of New York, without regard for formatting or anything. I had been planning to integrate these better (I've been doing this for many articles in the series 'Political party strength in...'), so please do whatever you need to do in order to make your own improvements, even if that means reverting my most recent edit(s). I've been working on all these articles off-and-on, and sometimes I work backwards, and sometimes forwards; I haven't found either to be easier than the other. Qqqqqq (talk) 22:41, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt I'll revert anything you do. For the time being, I'll work it out in my sandbox. I copied 1943-present in there, so I'll take care of that first and then once that's done, I'll see what other incomplete time frame within that article I should tackle next. If you keep working it from the late 1700's-early 1800's, I'll probably go for the late 1800's to the mid 1900's and we'll meet in the middle.--Muboshgu (talk) 22:56, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds like a plan! I should probably use sandboxes more, but I'd gotten lazy since hardly anyone else has been editing this or many of the other articles in this series. For now, I'll stay away from 1943 and more recent, at least. Qqqqqq (talk) 00:29, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the wording so the text properly explains what the Chinese on the plate says. It is technically a plate issued for a vehicle registered under the jurisdiction of the Taiwan province, not simply a "Taiwanese plate". Just to clarify, other than the "Taiwan Province" plates, there were also "Taipei City" and "Kaohsiung City" plates.
Currently, the jurisdictional information have been removed, so all the new vehicles now carry plates with the registration numbers only. But the plates are still issued separately under different jurisdictions. For example, the following are the rules to the issuing office in Taipei City:-
No worries. If you want, I can take photos of the current plates, the "Taipei City" plates, and if I can find it, "Kaohsiung City" plates. I am in Taipei at the moment, so the "Kaohsiung City" plates may be hard to find.--pyl (talk) 18:11, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I forgot to mention, there is also a "Fujian Province" plate, but since those vehicles hardly ever cross the Taiwan strait to come to the island of Taiwan, I have never seen them.--pyl (talk) 18:15, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I found a "Lianjiang County" plate (part of Fujian Province) on the web.
I am not sure about Wikipedia's copyright rules and I am not sure if the image can be used. If you know more about it, please enlighten me. Thank you.--pyl (talk) 18:41, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is an image for Jinmen (Kinmen) Country (again part of Fujian Province)
The party balances I included were those at the beginning of those terms, as determined by the electorate. Note, for example, that the minority can never have fewer than 9 in the Senate and 17 in the House due to the only-in-the-nation minimum minority requirements in the PR state constitution. During the 1997-2000 term, PDP Sen. Sergio Peña Clos abandoned the PDP and subsequently joined the NPP. Once he joined the majority party, the minority delegation shrinked to 8 and the PR Supreme Court required the addition of an additional PDP senator to protect the minority's constitutionally-protected minimum size of 9. The Senate website has its mistakes. For example, it identifies in the 1992 listing Sen. Cirilo Tirado Delgado as a New Progressive Party senator when, in fact, he was a Popular Democratic Party senator. The PDP elected only two district senators, four at-large and two add-ons, for a total of 8, the Independence Party elected one at-large and the NPP fourteen district and six at-large, for a 20-8-1 split. Pr4ever (talk) 01:48, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :) Per your request, I added a link for each vacancy, with each article noting the former officeholder and dates for the special election. I went ahead and added refs for the U.S. House and Senate so the article would consistently have a source listed for every vacancy. I really should have done this awhile ago; thanks for giving me a little push! Bridger (talk) 15:59, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was looking at your "Political party strength in Washington" page and noticed it was pretty similar (ie, exactly the same) to what I had acquired and submitted to the Atlas...
and then I recognized your name. How's it going, Mr. Former Vice President who disappeared without a trace? bgwah (talk)
Thanks for letting me know. The user whose edits I had been rolling back had otherwise been date-related; I hadn't noticed that this edit was unique and/or disputed. And it did seem like random, unexplained vandalism to remove a flag from an infobox, so I'm not sure why that's not an appropriate use of rollback. Qqqqqq (talk) 15:34, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(ec)If you come across something like that again, your best course of action is this:
Notify the editor of the injunction on their talk page and ask them to stop (don't threaten blocks, don't bite the newbies)
If they continue and ignore the notification, make a report at Arbitration Enforcement, being sure to link to the injunction and some diffs of the violations. An admin should take over from there.
Sorry if I came off terse above, this whole date linking/formatting arbitration is taking its toll on my wiki-sanity. :P —Locke Cole • t • c15:41, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Also, it looks like that arbitration request is as-yet unresolved. The MOS seems to be rather clear on date-linking. Qqqqqq (talk) 15:36, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tips on how to proceed next time. I'll do that; that's a better course of action. This whole business is a mess; I'd have thought the MOS would be the final word on such matters, but not so, it seems! Qqqqqq (talk) 18:06, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It actually is—our featured articles and lists implemented this change a while back, and most of the community is against date linking, see Wikipedia:Date formatting and linking poll. As long as you don't do anything on a mass scale (while the injunction is in place), it will be alright. I do agree with Locke that using rollback for date linking reverts is not a good idea. Anyway, just wanted to clarify things. Regards, Dabomb87 (talk) 23:54, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, thanks. I just saw the template with the obviously missing data and couldn't let it lie. xD
The composition of the NH House after the 2006 election was 239 Democrats and 161 Republicans, according to the NCSL, but if you go to their specific NH page it shows 239 Dems, 158 Reps, 1 Independent and 2 Vacancies(after an election?). I'm inclined to trust the numbers on the flash site better, but YMMV.
Mordac (talk) 18:26, 29 March 2009 (GMT)
Correct, someone did, as per NCSL again. I don't know whence, but they did. Well, since it's subsumed under Independent/Other, for all I know he may have changed to the Green Party, but I find Independent much more likely, because if someone had switched to a third party someone would probably have heard about it. Mordac (talk) 17:37, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, TommyBoy. Sometimes I warn vandals, while other times I'm too lazy. This egregious example of vandalism really deserved a warning, though, so thanks for making this a team effort. Qqqqqq (talk) 01:42, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your reply, while I realize that the decision to issue a vandalism warning is at the discretion of individual users who revert vandalism, I believe that it is important to issue such warnings in cases involving blatant vandalism (such as this), repeat offenders, and clueless newbies in order to discourage further acts of vandalism. --TommyBoy (talk) 16:57, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're definitely right. I'll try to remember from now on. I guess sometimes I see it as an endless battle, but perhaps a warning would, once in a while, draw someone's attention to their mistake and nip further vandalism in the bud. Cheers. Qqqqqq (talk) 23:39, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Gordonrox24. Thanks for letting me know. I was creating the article simultaneously. It should be all set now. Qqqqqq (talk) 01:27, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't see the point of adding File:Obama Biden nomination DNC 2008.jpg to an article when the subjects are so miniscule that a reader with normal vision not only cannot see who they are, he/she cannot even see that there are two people standing in front of the crowd. Even if you cropped the image to include only Obama and Biden and inserted it at full resolution, the two people could not be seen clearly as Obama and Biden. What does the image add to the article? Ward3001 (talk) 01:43, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I guess so. It would be nice if we had a better image of this event/moment, though. I think it's pretty clear that those are Obama and Biden on the stage, given the context, but you're right that in the thumbnail version it's anyone's guess that they're even in the picture. Qqqqqq (talk) 02:00, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I declined your abuse report since the user has only been blocked one time. Abuse reports are for long term vandals, generally a minimum of 6 blocks. People who only vandalize one page can be reported to WP:AIV. Keep up the good work.--Terrillja talk01:54, 26 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed you moved "Pedro Espada Jr." to "Pedro Espada, Jr.". It's a small matter, but Espada doesn't use a comma to set off the suffix in his name: [7][8]. Is there a project convention that says all such articles should be formated to include the comma even if the subject doesn't himself, or would it be alright if I moved it back to "Pedro Espada Jr.?"-PassionoftheDamon (talk) 21:59, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
He is a father, how is that biased, it is fact? I removed the hidden text about switching parties because upon research he was never a democrat. In order to switch parties you would have to have been officially a member or a party. The first time he was ever elected or ran for anything was 1994 and he ran as a Republican. Since people in Georgia do not register by party, not sure how anything else could ever be proved. Your thoughts? I am just trying to make this page look good. After this one I will be moving over to the other candidates in this race, Nathan Deal next. What do you think about my addition of the election results?
I have checked, exploratory committees and candidate committees are logged on the State Ethics page. Here is the link, I went and looked prior to moving it. www.ethics.ga.gov They used to be on the Secretary of States page but moved 2 years ago. Her page is www.sos.ga.gov. SO what did I do to get you to undo my edits? I just logged on to change somethings, actually changed them to your suggestions the other day like deleting Father and stuff.
Just so you won't be left out of this, I created a template for the autoreview userbox. The problem was, I didn't know that you already had one out there. Since mine had the singular name (autoreview) and it conformed more with the rollback template, I redirected it to my one. I also was able to fix the image thing. I tend to believe your assertion, but the source you gave does not make that claim. Also, please note that in Delaware, the plates remain the property of the state, and they also own the copyright on the design, so the file will likely be deleted in short order from the commons. I am restoring the request for citation until you provide a link that has the page indicated. The link in the reference has one page. HokieRNB02:13, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi ilamb. Good point—I hadn't realized we were the only two! Do you have one of those fancy recruitment templates for this project like you do for WP Kansas? I can think of a few individual editors who might be interested in joining. Also, I wonder about the etiquette of posting a link on the discussion pages of other similar Wikiprojects. WikiProject Politics would be a good place to start, I'd think. Qqqqqq (talk) 16:37, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Myself and Timmeh have had a strong discussion about major change to this article. Before we did anything we wanted to get feedback regular editors of this page, William S. Saturn, Hysteria18, Jerzeykydd, Ratemonth, JayJasper, GoodDay, Qqqqqq, GageSkidmore, Reywas92, and FallenMorgan. Please send this to anyone else I may have left and please read the thread on Ruled Out and give us your feedback.
Hi Dave. I looked over the discussion, but I'm not sure I have much to add since things kinda seem to be working out... Qqqqqq (talk) 23:53, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Qqqqqq I have a lot of respect for your work on Konop's wiki and was wondering if you could look over the section I added to the discussion page entitled Lucas County Commissioner if you have some spare time. Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.240.39.190 (talk) 18:07, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't been as active on Wikipedia for the last week or so, so I just saw your message. Thanks for your kind words. :) I think your additions are good ones, but recent changes by the same user who previously was introducing POV content reverted a lot of it. I then reverted to your version, as it seems much more neutral to me. Best of luck in combatting these other editors who wish to defame the subject of the article, and please do let me know if there's anything I can do! Qqqqqq (talk) 20:47, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I was wondering if you could review the section in discussion entitled "lucas county commissioner." I would like to see it added to the article but would like consensus before it's added. Also, should admins be notified about sombrero41's edits? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.240.39.190 (talk) 13:05, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

on your map of License plates, North Carolina should now be dark red as all regular plates are embossed but all personalized and special interest license plates are now flat screened. Tonkatracker (talk) 22:46, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Tonkatracker. Sorry for the delay in responding to you; haven't logged in in a while. While NC did experiment with flat personalized and special issues, my understanding was that as of May 2009 they reverted to issuing only embossed plates (per http://www.licenseplates.cc/highs.php?where=NC). Do you have any information to the contrary? Thanks for your input! Qqqqqq (talk) 22:27, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have any idea how to access legislative breakdowns for the Political Party Strength pages? That's all there is to add to Alaska now. If you have the numbers, I can bother with fitting them in correctly. Star Garnet (talk) 00:31, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Star Garnet. That's a good question. The main barrier to completing the articles in this series has been our inability to find this historical data. I contacted a few state historians for this information and added to the respective articles pretty much everything I was able to get out of them. There's still a way to go; unfortunately I don't know where else to look for this information. Qqqqqq (talk) 22:32, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Qqqqqq! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondarysources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 312 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
I just read your answer to my question about the license plates. It makes a lot of sense that they would be custom-made. I had understood, wrongly, that it was your own work that was exposed at the National Museum of American History. Your expertise on how each state has rules about each plate, like the number in Wyoming, is very impressive. I had wrongly assumed that in the US, all vanity plates only had a size limit. I'm learnin' stuff with Wikipedia. Thanks. Eje211 (talk) 12:53, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi ilamb94! I'm not on here that much any more, but I'll see what I can think up in the coming days. Great to hear from you again. Qqqqqq (talk) 17:37, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
Hi there, I'm LiAnna Davis, the communications associate for the Wikimedia Foundation's new Public Policy Initiative. We are currently looking for dedicated Wikipedians near the George Washington University and Georgetown University areas to serve as Campus Ambassadors, and I hope you might be interested.
Volunteer Campus Ambassadors will provide face-to-face training and support for professors and students on Wikipedia-related skills, such as how to create new articles, how to add images, how the talk pages work, etc. If you're especially enthusiastic and know people on campus, you can set up Wikipedia-related student groups and organize "Welcome to Wikipedia" social events.
The estimated time commitment for this role is 3-5 hours a week, possibly slightly more at the very beginning and very end of the semester. The Wikimedia Foundation will hold a mandatory three-day training for all Campus Ambassadors in August, and will continue to stay in contact with and offer full support for the Campus Ambassadors throughout the academic semester.
Please let us know if this is something that sounds interesting to you or if you know of any other Wikipedians near George Washington or Georgetown who could help out. Feel free to respond on Annie Lin's talk page or email her at alin@wikimedia.org (Annie is our Campus Team Coordinator).--Ldavis (Public Policy) (talk) 21:26, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was recently suggested that WikiProject US State Legislatures might be inactive or semiactive and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. I have started a discussion on the projects talk page soliciting the opinions of the members of the project if this project would be interested in being supported by WikiProject United States. Please feel free to comment on your opinions about this suggestion. --Kumioko (talk) 20:16, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.
There are images for the other recent plates, but they were removed because they were fair use. I guess policy doesn't allow us to place them in the table, so don't be surprised if your recent edit to Vehicle registration plates of Michigan gets reverted. I've e-mailed the Secretary of State to see if they really are under copyright or not, and hopefully we get an answer before the photos are deleted. Imzadi 1979→17:55, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Following the WikiSalon, we will be having dinner at a nearby restaurant, Ella's Wood Fired Pizza.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited South Boston, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dorchester Bay. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.
Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Sweet Home Alabama license plate.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Sweet Home Alabama license plate.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Current Issue License Plate Types that are unpublished.
Hello, I need some advice on how to proceed with this as this is very confusing.
I've discovered some new general issue plate types and I'm wondering how do I properly add it to the respective articles without violating WP:NOR when I can't find any references or mentions of the plates by the DMVs of the respective issuing state or any other source?
The current main example I have is the Tennessee leased vehicle series which has apparently been issued unnoticed for several years, and which there is absolutely no documentation about it beyond its previous series being noticed but it's meaning unknown, nor is it even mentioned it in their section of leased vehicle, but running vehicle history reports on the plates and further random samplings of numbers in the same serial format, and compared to the latest issued regular series plates show they are only issued to leased vehicles and there is no leased vehicles are on the regular series; Second example is the new Kansas rental series that apparently started in the past 6 months, I can't find a single online reference to the plates but I've already seen several of them.
