At February's AAAS conference there will be FOUR editathons focused on science topics, for beginners and experts alike. Welcome to Wikipedia's Year of Science! For these events, participants must be either attendees at the AAAS conference, or experienced Wikimedians selected as moderators.
These AAAS ediathons are organized by the Wiki Education Foundation, the Simons Foundation, and Wikimedia DC

- Where
- 2016 AAAS conference at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel in Washington, DC. Go to Hall C, head to the Social Media Space and watch out for Wikipedia logos near one of the corners.
- What to bring
- A laptop computer or tablet. We'll have WiFi.
- Any resources you would like to refer to
- You're welcome to bring your camera and take pictures
- Preferably, a registered Wikipedia user account (but we can also create one on the spot)

- How to edit Wikipedia, by Wikimedia DC presenters -- 40 mins or so

[edit]Please sign up, either to edit or as a potential moderator (an experienced Wikipedian), here on the AAAS website. If you leave your username (or real name) below, that will be helpful too. This event is open to people of all experience levels.
During or before event

- While logged into your Wikipedia account, visit the course dashboard and click "Join course" (under the Actions heading on the right sidebar). This permits identification of your Wikipedia edits.
