Question

You left me a mesage saying wait out the block. What are you on about? im not blocked

I noticed you revamped the AP Psychology page after I saved it from deletion. I would recommend that you read the AfD discussion for the article. I agree with many of the delete arguments there prior to my changes, in that one person's AP Psychology class does not deserve an article on wikipedia. This is the main reason that I removed the paragraph you re-added as the introduction. Further, it has been suggested that this paragraph is copyvio from someone's high school course guide, which really wouldn't surprise me. At any rate, the paragraph is totally inaccurate. References to things like "semester B" are specific to one person's AP Psychology class, not everyones. Many high schools don't even have anything called "semester b," some AP courses are taught at schools that don't follow the semester system, and the order and exact topics covered are completely up to whoever is teaching the class. There is no strictly regulated curriculum for theses courses.

The exam, on the other hand, is a standardized test administered across the U.S. and Canada. Indeed, one does not even have to take an AP class before they take an AP exam. I've readded the general summary that I put together of what AP exams are. If you are familiar with this particular exam and would like to write a more appropriate intro paragraph that touches on the general themes of the exam that would be great. I realize the paragraph I have duplicates information available in the Advanced Placement Program article, but I think that the two-sentence summary is needed to provide proper context for the article. People from outside the U.S. and Canada often don't realize that AP refers to a specific program run by the College Board, not just a general concept. Anyone looking for more detail on the AP program can follow the link to the full article. Happy editing! —Jnk[talk] 01:25, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. --Pilot|guy 02:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

I know there's nothing in the talk page or edit history that would indicate any of this, you'd have to go out of your way to find out anyway :). If you don't feel that the two-sentence program summary is appropriate in the intro though, feel free to remove or move it down into the article. I'm not too attached to the text, I mostly put it in to help justify the notability of the topic during the AfD. —Jnk[talk] 04:02, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

I do not wish for any of that to be saved. I want it all gone. 75.3.15.49 02:21, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

WP:TPG --Pilot|guy 02:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

That doesn't help me. Wikipedia needs to respect my decision. 75.3.15.49 03:27, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

This is bullshit. I have seen many people remove other people's comments from there talk page. 75.3.15.49 17:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

WP:AGF and please direct me to these many people who are removing other's comments.--Pilot|guy 17:37, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi,

While I respect the desire to not have external links added willy-nilly to Wikipedia entries, I think that links to my site are important. EpistemeLinks is not a commercial site -- it is created by a non-profit corporation. It is the mostly widely used philosophy site on the Internet. By *not* including links to the EpistemeLinks sections you are doing users of Wikipedia a disservice. In the case of most philosophy-related entries at Wikipedia, the link to the relevant section at EpistemeLinks is likely the *most valuable* external link that could be included. So it seems wrong to exclude them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.67.134.243 (talkcontribs)

-- Tom Stone

Your link entry appears to be borderline with policy, but, in any case, I have added it back in. I am worried your entry will promote EpistemeLinks, but it does appear to provide factual information, so I will re-insert it. --Pilot|guy 23:01, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Hi... I later read through some FAQs about adding external links to Wikipedia. I also emailed Jimbo about it (who I know from long before he started Wikipedia). I'm now convinced that I was acting against the rules (because I maintain EpistemeLinks, so I shouldn't be adding links to it apparently), so I've stopped adding them. If you want to remove the link, I'll understand... though I still think the users of Wikipedia benefit from having links to the top philosophy directory on the web. :-)

History of Jews in Iraq

I don't think this [1] is a commercial link ... the same article is available at [2]. The latter looks more professional, I'll admit. I leave the decision to replace a link to you 165.165.189.54 22:29, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Link re-inserted as well. --Pilot|guy 23:02, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Romanian blogosphere

You removed my SF dixit link from Romanian blogosphere

That page is made entirely out of links, there's no other content I can add except more links. Please edit it and restore my link. Thank you.

Done. --Pilot|guy 00:30, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Mozilla Firefox.

Hello, Thanks for reverting vandalism on my Discussion'a page. Much appreciated. Ahh, What is Mozilla Firefox in Wikipedia? When I hear the world Firefox, I always think about User:FireFox. Basically, I was very confused to recognize User:FireFox, or Mozilla FireFox. Anyways, Could you explain to me about Mozilla Fox in my Discussion's page? Thanks. You must reply on my talk-page. Mach 15???

In a certain novel, an author claims there is an aircraft that can go at Mach 15! Is this possible? I thought most crafts can barely reach Mach 4, and one particularly powerful rocket engine can reach Mach 13. Also, is it possible to travel at 60000ft, from Boston to Switzerland in 1 hour? 60000ft is about 18.2km....that's somewhere in the stratosphere. Is it practical for a pilot to transport his passenger at that altitude? Also, the passenger is not wearing any special pilot gear, just his jacket and there's a phone in the plane, which he uses to speak to someone during his flight. Please clarify which is possible and impossible. Thanks. Do visit my user page too! (^_^) -Velen117 13:52, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Advice

Any advice? I'm not an expert, I'm only trying to make the article better. I'm not credit-possesive if you want you can take which ever part of the work you wish. I just realized most editors are scared of stub for some reason, so right now I'm only going to create sub-articles for the "main" episodes.--T-man, the wise 21:01, 12 June 2006 (UTC). Incorrect vandalism warning

Hi. I have just been taking a look at User talk:Reywas92 and I noticed that you left a warning about blatant vandalism of the United Nations page on 26 April 2006. Unfortunately, you appear to have left the warning against the wrong user as shown here. Could you please return to User talk:Reywas92 and remove your warning for them? This will avoid anyone accusing them of trying to hide a history of vandalism in the future. Thanks. Road Wizard 18:20, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations. Here are what pass for words of wisdom from the puppy:
  1. Remember you will always protect the wrong version.
  2. Remember you must always follow the rules, except for when you ignore them. You will always pick the wrong one to do. (See #5)
  3. Remember to assume good faith and not bite. Remember that when you are applying these principles most diligently, you are probably dealing with a troll.
  4. Use the block ability sparingly. Enjoy the insults you receive when you do block.
  5. Remember when you make these errors, someone will be more than happy to point them out to you in dazzling clarity and descriptive terminology.
  6. and finally, Remember to contact me if you ever need assistance, and I will do what I am able.
