Hello, thanks for popping by! A little about me: I enjoy writing new articles, and editing short articles and biographies. I also like to correct grammar, links and categorization here and there.
Update as of 2023:
At this time, I’m still able to contribute a small amount monthly on annual commitment to the financial wellbeing of Wikipedia.
Also, my editing has dramatically slowed over the past number of years due to an unfortunate head injury. I’m recovering wonderfully. The pieces put back are slightly frayed but mostly are in the right places. Folks who are interested can follow along at my Substack newsletter site.
In the meantime, I mainly come to Wikipedia to look up information, and occasionally when I have a bit of time, like today, correct information when visiting.
The following information is for my own reference, but it’s helpful to others seeking small jobs of editing and cleaning up:
Personal statement:
As a descendent of settlers and colonizers (2-5gen UK/I) of the land on which I live, I respectfully acknowledge my home is located on a rocky knoll known to and cared for by the ancestors of the Musqueam peoples, and shared by many nations by sea and inland. I stand with Indigenous across all colonized territories, these lands were stolen from the Indigenous upon colonization, whether there was agreement on a piece of paper or a trade or a handshake. And, I stand in solidarity with all Indigenous in pursuit of their sovereignty on their terms. I am constantly aware and learning to disrupt my own perpetuation of power over and all superiority colonization values. And, I am committed to amplify the voices of Indigenous women, girls, and gender diverse people.
