Streaming networks
We need a way to incorporate the streaming services with their respective associated tv networks as cable is continued to be replaced by them. Maybe create a new info box category?
Edits to User Page
Thank you for restoring my user page after it had been repeatedly vandalized. This is not the first time that my page has been attacked. I'm still curious why user pages are open for anyone, particularly unregistered IP users, to edit? Why should eveyone be allowed to edit someone else's user page? I have asked for page protection, but nothing seems to have changed.—JlACEer (talk) 15:31, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Re your comment at WP:RfPP, perhaps a LTA report would be useful? I have some data in my sandbox#Italy - articles, ranges used - that might be helpful. I’ve tried a partial block on a couple of favoured ranges but this is Italy where ranges are two a penny... Long term protection for affected articles may be the only way forward. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 03:06, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:EVine Live.png
A tag has been placed on File:EVine Live.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file namespace redirect shadowing a page on Commons, and has no incoming file links.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks for your comment on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jessie Hillel, and Im in general agreement. I don't really want to add this to the debate. Im not sure about the "solid opt-out policy", but maybe more like a common practice, or even a guideline. For now, I think Use common sense will do. Again, thanks. ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks
You seem to be more invested in the broader topic area than I am (for me, this is just an LTA vandalism overlap), so maybe you can help me with this. As we both know, ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks has been vandalized recently by a California IP. You reverted part of this just now, but their edits reach as far back as October, meaning all of this could be affected. The IP range in question is Special:Contributions/2603:9008:1c80:ba76:e8f0:7c4c:defd:6802/64. For ViacomCBS DMN, would consider applying WP:TNT and eradicate everything that is unsourced, fabricated, and original research/speculation? I don't have the time and energy for that right now. What do you think of this edit that I made? LooneyTraceYT (talk) 22:40, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

We're you suspecting me as a Block Evasion of MechMaster Katzenstein or The IP, as per WP:ANI. LooneyTraceYT (talk) 20:36, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
The TV vandal is at it.
I just found out the user who was blocked has created Draft:Munsch, the article made by the same vandal of that IP address. --184.146.36.142 (talk) 23:26, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
BLP help request
This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
Overnight I received a direct message through my Twitter account from someone controversial involved in a band asking for certain changes to an article, and I do not know how to go forward with it, except I know I shouldn't respond to them or certainly change the article based on their request. Please let me know how to go forward; I do have screenshots of their request and would rather keep this private until absolutely needed since I've dealt with aggressive off-wiki actions before based on BLP and vandal editing/removal.}} Nate • (chatter) 15:59, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- I would suggest to them that instead of coming to you off-wiki, they make a proper edit request using {{request edit}} on the talk page of the relevant article. or you could just ignore the message, up to you - RichT|C|E-Mail 16:05, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Rich Smith: I'll see if they follow up with another DM then; if they don't, I'll ignore it. Thanks for the advice! Nate • (chatter) 16:19, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
Just a head's up, you have been mentioned (and insulted) on a radio show : https://www.wrmf.com/why-was-kvj-kicked-off-of-wikipedia-6-22-21/ - I'm actually wondering if that could be considered libel. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:43, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
