Draft:Wilson's disease (2) concern
Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Wilson's disease (2), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.
If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.
You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.
If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.
Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 21:06, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
It looks like Twinkle, or whatever script you use, attempted to nominate this article for AFD twice. Since the first debate was already open (and has had a comment), I just reverted the second edit and left the first (working) AFD link in place. FYI. Thanks, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 15:10, 29 September 2017 (UTC)

Hello, Mr. Guye. Just dropping by to let you know that I have started an article on Cary Moon, which you were covering with your draft article. Feel free to merge information into it, as I'm still writing up her political positions and campaign details. SounderBruce 00:13, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Just a heads up: When formatting references, try to keep them aligned with what is already in the page, make sure to replace the apostrophes used by newspaper websites, and use templates that don't create giant white spaces. SounderBruce 01:24, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
The file File:Cary Moon running for mayor.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NFCC#1, as a free version could easily be created.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SounderBruce 02:03, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Wilson's disease (2)
Hello, Mr. Guye. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Wilson's disease".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 09:21, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
Template:WikiProject Indexes - bug?
Hello Mr. Guye, I noticed your edit to this template in July 2017. This change seems to add broken formatting: it combines "attention" and "importance" and treats an "importance" value as valid "attention" input (these parameters are largely unrelated and serve different purposes of course). I am not sure, if you intended to implement a full-scale assessment system or just an importance rating, but the current template syntax doesn't look correct. Could you double-check the template's parameter logic please? GermanJoe (talk) 15:42, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Cary Moon running for mayor.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Cary Moon running for mayor.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 23:02, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
peerreviewer.js
No problem, but I noticed that this edit at Kissimmee River fixed whitespace (good), but made a change inside a template (bad). Specifically, it changed sqmi
to sq mi
inside {{convert|3000|sqmi|km2}}. That broke the template (search for "convert: unknown unit" to see it). I am hoping you will investigate whether the script can be enhanced, although occasional glitches are not a big deal. Johnuniq (talk) 02:49, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Friendly search suggestions
Thank you for editing the template. The reason why the DYK language was used is because this template was designed for inexperienced editors who don't really know the WP lingo or what a DYK means to those who work on such things. Any editor that I have trained to use this template during an edit-a-thon has no clue what DYK means to editors who are more experienced. I needed a friendly lead-in to the template so that it conveys a welcoming tone. I'm not changing what you edited at all. I may just look for something overwhelmingly 'friendly'. Nurkhon
I added File:Nurkhon.png that I created in sketchup to the article on Nurkhon Yuldasheva because the only existing photo of her statue is extremely copyrighted (http://www.gettyimages.com/license/517775498) if you find that the illustration is too low quality or there is some way to use that photo under fair use guidelines, please let me know. I've been trying to find other photos of her or the statue and can't find any at all, and you tagged the talk page as needing an image so any help would be much appreciated. Bot accounts
Since you should be notified of the messages in response to your posts at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism I do not need to repeat those, but there are two other points you need to be aware of.
- It is extremely unlikely that any bot can be started by editing its talk page. It is difficult to conceive of any reason why anyone would program a bot to keep checking its Wikipedia talk page and swing into action when that page is modified.
- Don't even try to run bots which you are not approved to run. Even in the extremely unlikely event that someone has programmed a bot in such a way that any editor can run it, you must not do it. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 23:32, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
OK, I now see where you got that idea from: it was a misunderstanding of information at User:Yobot. If you read the information there carefully you will find it says that editing the talk page will stop the bot, but it does not say that a second edit which reverts the first one will restart the bot. In fact it says that the bot will stay stopped until restarted by the bot's owner. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 23:44, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Lua:Error
A tag has been placed on Lua:Error requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. U.S. Route 61 in Iowa
I'm reverting your approval of the draft. The draft, as currently written, is obviously not ready for the main space. First off, the route description section is incomplete; the last half of it by expected content is just a single bullet point "Eldridge to Dubuque". Second, most of the history section consists of a bulleted list of drafting aids for the author to flesh out into full prose. Third, the primary author has not submitted it for review or just moved it himself. You shouldn't have both nominated and approved the draft.
I could detail a list of other errors involved, but they'd only reinforce the reasons why the primary authors of a draft should be consulted before acting, and the fact that reviewers need to do a little homework in approving drafts outside of their areas of expertise. As soon as an admin deletes the redirect, the draft will be restored back to its proper place. Imzadi 1979 → 23:31, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

20:21:48, 6 November 2017 review of submission by Bh17f
Hi, I'd like to know what areas of the text or phrases that signaled to you that this is more of an argument than an encyclopedia. Could you please point me to specific areas in the text, otherwise I'll be revising blindly?
Bh17f (talk) 20:21, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- More "an essay than an encyclopedic article", was the comment. Yes, I agree with that; the draft reads like a report, in such phrases as "This data suggests that many scholars go unnoticed or underrepresented in the field’s discussions as we cite a small coterie of scholars, perhaps overmuch"--that's original research, and certainly "I see writing program administration scholarship and/or scholarship in disciplinarity proving fruitful here" is not encyclopedic. More fundamentally, the "Writing Studies Tree" needs to have been discussed in secondary sources for it to become a notable topic. You're citing the scholars that proposed it--you need scholars that discussed it. Drmies (talk) 02:05, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

- There's not enough information here for me to find the source of the problem, but you're clearly not the person I was aiming at. The easiest solution is probably just to grant you an IP block exemption. It'll expire automatically in a week. Autoblocks are only supposed to last a a couple of days so I can't for the life of me work out why you're caught in one related to an account blocked nearly three years ago but if IPBE solves the problem, it's probably not the most valuable use of a checkuser's time to get to the bottom of it. Inexcusable rudeness
That you nominated my project for deletion without even so much as posting on the talk page is inexcusably rude. Regardless of what you assume based on poor metrics like main-page edits, you should have at least checked before prematurely beginning such a process. This sort of mindless, knee-jerk bureaucracy is the fatal flaw of WP. HCA (talk) 11:22, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

Trolling

Please take a look at Paolo Costagli page
Hi. Please take a look at Draft:Paolo Costagli. I noticed that you've approved Kimberly McDonald and decided to ask for your advice on this one (as you probably know something about jewelry desing). This article a COI submission but I used other jewelry designers pages as references and tried to make it as good as possible. Thank you in advance. -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 19:22, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
