Coin enscription
[edit]The transcription of the coin markings included several obvious errors, which I've addressed:
- the letter W, which doesn't exist in Greek. I assume it's a form of omega. Changed to Ω
- X or Χ (chi) for the sound /ks/ in "Aksum", which makes no sense. (Admittedly the inscription is rather unclear.) Changed to Ξ, which does have the correct value
- C for Ϲ (lunate sigma, which appears similar but has a different code point).
Unfortunately there is no authoritative transcription of this coin, so this has a faint whiff of original research about it. But this is at least more plausible than W and "Akhum". Hairy Dude (talk) 05:25, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
