Clarification on the request for improvement

[edit]

Mr. Guye added this request to source some sort of public reaction to the museum.

It's unclear to me what this means, there's thousands of museums in The Netherlands, opening a new one usually isn't very notable. Is this a request for e.g. a mention of the museum in some "new museums of the month" brochure of the time (such as the one maintained by e.g. the Museumkaart publication)?.

Or is the assumption that the Dutch would find the very concept of a sex museum as scandalous as some more puritan cultures? If that's the case I'm sure *some* fringe opinion could be dug up, but that this would likely be as notable or relevant as someone protesting an aviation museum in the U.S. because of its indirect contribution to the normalization of dropping bombs on people, or something equally far-fetched. --Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 13:47, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason: Your second paragraph is more what I was talking about. How do the Dutch react to this sex museum? How does the international community react to this? If there was no big reaction, that would also be worthy of stating. Furthermore, has this museum been critically acclaimed? Do scholars consider it to be informative? This is what I am talking about.  — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  18:03, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Mr. Guye: I just came back to this after a ~year and removed the "multiple issues" template. Reason: a) It seems strange to require an "external reactions" to the opening of a museum. Most museums go relatively unnoticed at their opening and in their operation, and I couldn't find any reference to this. So I think the null hypothesis suggests that there's nothing to write about here b) there's a generic call for more citations, but it seems some more have been since then, so that would be better done with an inline "citation needed" for anything that's lacking citations in particular. --Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 09:19, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
