Epiphany (Devorah Frost)

[edit]

Hi Rebecca, I wonder if you are gonna do the Devorah Frost's Wikipedia page. 'Cause you did the pages of Heidi Lovelace, Jessie Belle Smothers and Scarlett Bordeaux. If you are gonna create the Epiphany's Wikipedia page, I can help you. WWE Y ECW (talk) 12:54, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much to edit the page of Epiphany. WWE Y ECW (talk) 11:16, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article ToR Tag Team Championship has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Extremely short article with no sources and no indication of notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Noiratsi (talk) 09:38, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for the message you left me. I wanted to let you know that I changed the tag on the article to note that you said the article wasn't meant to have been created. I hope that's okay. You can work on unfinished articles in your userspace if you like - there are some guidelines at Help:Userspace draft. If you ever accidentally create an article, you can ask for it to be deleted by putting a tag like {{db-self}} or {{db-test}} at the top of the page. Thanks! --Noiratsi (talk) 09:00, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed you've already been using userspace drafts, so you can ignore my comment about them above I suppose! In case the page gets deleted before you get to have another look at it, I put the contents at User:Rebecca Maria Herrington/ToR Tag Team Championship for you. Hope that's okay! --Noiratsi (talk) 09:10, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source/license for File:WinterTNALive.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:WinterTNALive.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to The Bella Twins may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. I've been trying to help out on Pretty Little Liars (TV series)‎, even though I don't watch the show. The purpose of my reverting the change was because it was the status quo in the article and there was no discussion on the talk page supporting the change. I see now that there is consensus because several of my attempts to maintain the article as is have been reverted. This is not the normal way to obtain consensus. But I have no interest in being the lone voice in the wind defending an revert that was just meant to help protect against changes that had no source, and no edit summary to explain why they were being done. If more IP users would learn to use an edit summary, this wouldn't happen. Thank you for providing a reasoning for why you support the change. I'm bowing out now. Thanks again for explaining the issue. —    Bill W.    (Talk)  (Contrib)  — 23:17, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources and notable content

[edit]

Hi Miss X-Factor! I can tell that you are editing in good faith and have contributed much to articles on females wrestlers, however there are certain regulations and procedures that I feel you should follow to improve the quality of the articles and its content.

Firstly I would like to point you to what WP:PW considers reliable sources for wrestling articles. Any statement that we make in an article needs to be sourced, preferably from a secondary source, and we need reliable sources, not just any blog written by any wrestling fan. Stick to the sources mentioned in the style guide like PWTorch.com or slam.canoe.ca. Any source not mentioned in the style guide is automatically considered unreliable (unless they happen to be from mainstream news websites like The Mirror or The Sun etc) That means sources like bleacherreport / cagesideseats / diva-dirt is unreliable and can be removed at any time. If you wish to add a source at the style guide, propose it in a new discussion at WT:PW.
Secondly, we must note not to add week-by-week info. (Especially WWE) wrestlers wrestle a lot of meaningless matches that don't deserve mention in Wikipedia. If we were to list every single appearance by a wrestler, then there would be way too much content. General rule of thumb: only add the information if the wrestler is involved in a championship feud, or at least a storyline feud. For example, look at the Aksana (wrestler) page. After splitting with Cesaro, Aksana has really been involved in one storyline: she wore the blonde wig to impersonate Kaitlyn (even so Kaitlyn's was really feuding with Eve instead of Aksana who was a supporting character). Everything else is really week-by-week and not notable, such as "On the December 24 episode of Raw Christmas edition, Aksana competed in a "Santa's Little Helper" eight-divas tag team match..." or "On the June 14th of Smackdown, Aksana was assaulted by Kaitlyn, when she snapped when Kaitlyn noticed her Aksana laughing at a replay from Monday’s Raw"... Any queries, hit me up at my talk page. Thank you! Starship.paint (talk) 04:25, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean "give the full length matches? PWInsider gives move-by-move written reports, does it not? Anyway, as I said, propose a new topic on this at WT:PW. Starship.paint (talk) 23:38, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

At least currently, PWInsider seems to be giving detailed reports? Starship.paint (talk) 05:19, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the barnstar, appreciate it! Also, Hulk and I have replied on WT:PW, feel free to make more points to convince us. Starship.paint (talk) 08:15, 22 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just to update, I've added Diva Dirt to the WP:PW style guide under "Other websites (not yet proven)" Starship.paint (talk) 09:28, 24 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am removing unreliable sources like wrestlingattitude from a number of articles including Eve Torres. You might want to add reliable sources to replace those I have removed. Starship.paint (talk) 05:05, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:EveTorresDivasChampion2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:07, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

License clearly says "No Derivatives" - we cannot accept either "No Derivatives" OR "No Commercial" in a CC license - only CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, and CC-zero are permitted CC licenses. Had you used the correct license in a template form thus... {{cc-by-nd}}, you would see it turns into a speedy delete.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:04, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I don't quite agree that tables are required. A table certainly doesn't seem like it's a requirement for these articles; Random, Altiyan Childs, The Collective. On the other hand, Reece Mastin, Johnny Ruffo and Samantha Jade have a table, but the songs are not mentioned in the prose. I feel it should really be one or the other for the Jiordan Tolli article. I also think the ibox should still be Infobox person. She's an actress taking part in a music reality show, she hasn't released any music and is still acting. See the Jennifer Lopez article. She has more than one occupation, so uses Infobox person. - JuneGloom Talk 01:14, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Hi. We don't create articles for reality TV contestants until they are independently notable outside of the TV program (signed with a record label, released albums/singles that have charted or appeared on other TV shows/films). For example, see Jiordan Tolli, Johnny Ruffo, The Collective and Christina Parie articles. 0z (talk) 23:28, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and paste move of Consequences Creed

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Consequences Creed a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Austin Watson (wrestler). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Unhelpful

You removed several references here with the edit summary "unsourced". I don't know whether it was vandalism or just careless idiocy on your part, but don't do it again. Thanks, NiciVampireHeart 22:21, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've since sourced most of it. It took two seconds of googling. Perhaps you should have tried it instead of unilaterally removing the information without checking to see whether it had references. NiciVampireHeart 22:36, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I never said people don't make mistakes. I fail to see how you have time to remove information without reading, but can't spare two seconds to google for sources. It's not exactly helpful. NiciVampireHeart 22:44, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine; next time maybe just wait until you do have time to look for sources before removing information. Unless, of course, it's an obvious WP:BLP violation, in which case work away. :) Happy holidays, NiciVampireHeart 11:25, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to userspace

[edit]

Hey, I've moved the article to your userspace at User:Miss X-Factor/Planet Punk Music. The problem is that the article doesn't seem to have any coverage in reliable sources per WP:RS. We need coverage to show how the company is notable per WP:CORP. Now as far as it having an article in another Wikipedia, that doesn't necessarily guarantee notability on the English language WP. The standards for notability are different for each WP. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:53, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, List of Fifth Harmony Members

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of Fifth Harmony Members. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Fifth Harmony. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Fifth Harmony – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. --Finngall talk 17:57, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:TarynTerrellChampion.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Veda Scott, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Nomination of Veda Scott for deletion

[edit]

History Merge

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Bo$$ (Fifth Harmony song) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Boss (Fifth Harmony song). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). Nikki pic

[edit]

Please stop trying to crowbar that image into the Bella Twins article. It doesn't contribute anything. As I already explained, the other image provides a nice illustration of Brie being "fired" and having to watch from the crowd while Nikki went solo. We also don't need another solo image of Nikki: there are eight images of the twins together, two of Nikki solo, and none of Brie solo, already in the article. For balance, the next solo image added should be Brie. In addition, your latest attempt to shoehorn it in is very misleading. Captioning an image with the words "Divas title present" implies that she was champion at the time, which she was not.
Also, please stop changing date formats. The article is written in month day, year, so changing April 11 to 11 April is extremely unhelpful. See MOS:DATEUNIFY. NiciVampireHeart 09:17, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:ArianaGrande - Billboard.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [2], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles.

Proposed deletion of Headlock (film)

[edit]

The article Headlock (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (films) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Scarlett Bordeaux, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Columbia College. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Courtney image

[edit]

Hey there, I've reverted you again at The Young and the Restless characters (2013). Please have a read through WP:NFCC (specifically policy #8) - non-free images do not fit in with the format of these pages, because they are essentially lists (Lists don't always have the "List of..." in title). We only tend to use free images, as demonstrated on nearly all of these Y&R character lists. And again, per WP:NFCC#8, the image is not even a good one. It is unnecessarily long/big and barely shows her full face properly. The image should not be there in the first place. Please understand, as I've explained. — Arre 09:38, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You've actually attempted to delete that photo quite a few times, Arre9. Your personal preference may be suited for any personal website you might want to start up on your own but, that exact photo has been the subject of many edits (always starting with you attempting to delete it) and many editors always end up having to put it back. It's unfortunate you just can never stop, even though you're constantly telling other editors to "Stop!" whenever they go against your personal preference (which is not how the rest of wikipedia's editors need to adhere to).Cebr1979 (talk) 22:16, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Cebr1979. You're the main user who removes these photos, nobody else does. --Miss X-Factor (talk) 22:25, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Miss X-Factor, you have had a history of uploading images that failed WP:NFCC#8 and contribute nothing to the reader's knowledge, and I am not the only one who has had to remove the images, so saying "nobody else does" is false. And Cebr, as things have been explained to you, your edits fall short at WP:NFLIST where the Courtney thing is concerned. And yes, I have removed (not made 'delete' attempts) the image because of its weak rationale, as stated. — Arre 05:08, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Per this conversation, if you would like to find a picture of, say, Noah crying over Courtney's dead body, that would have the suitable amount of relevance and, therefore, wouldn't get taken down (even if it was a non-free). Cheers!Cebr1979 (talk) 04:30, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Even a photo similar to this one would be fine. The character was just about to marry into the biggest family in the show's history (which is mentioned in the article) so it is definitely relevant.Cebr1979 (talk) 04:43, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:SaraHarveyRedCoat.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:SaraHarveyRedCoat.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 18:36, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Use of non-free content

[edit]

In this edit, you added File:SaraHarveyRedCoat.jpg. Per Wikipedia:Non-free content and Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline, "A separate, specific rationale must be provided each time the image is used in an article. The name of the article the image is used in must be included in the rationale." There is no rationale provided for it's use in the episode article, and I also don't believe it meets other non-free content guidelines as well. -- Whpq (talk) 19:28, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi there I noticed that you created User:Miss X-Factor/Eden Stiles but it seems like Eden Stiles was already created. Would you consider listing it for deletion or merging the contents and redirecting the page? I'd ask the same about User:Miss X-Factor/Jessie Belle Smothers/Jessie Belle Smothers, User:Miss X-Factor/Scarlett Bordeaux/Eva Marie and User:Miss X-Factor/NXT Women's Championship/NXT Women's Championship although it seems like you've also edited those articles so a redirect may be better. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 03:19, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Miss X-Factor. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Sawyer Fulton, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Sawyer Fulton to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.
