Thanks for dropping by :)
Look, I have messages.
Hello
[edit]I'm Noiratsi. Peruse my user page or my talk page, and leave me a message! Take a look at all my contributions, or just the articles I've edited, the people I've talked to or the filters I've managed to trigger.
And here are some lists of dangerous things I've done, files I've uploaded, and exciting things people have done to me.
I also have a jumble of subpages where I work on new stuff, play with wikicode and hide secrets. Enjoy your visit!
Talkpage Tips
[edit]I prefer to keep conversations in one place. If I left you a message on your talk page, please don't reply here. I will have your talk page on my watchlist and I'll see when you reply there.

Disambiguation link notification for February 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cf., you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page French (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Some falafel for you!
[edit]Thanks for the userboxen!!!! <3 That was the oldest entry on my mental list of things I need to get around to doing sometime. Feel like doing all the rest? ;) — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 17:00, 18 February 2013 (UTC) |
Cyoot kitteh!
[edit]Nice to see you're still around. Hope everything is going well your end? Thanks
ツ Jenova20 (email) 15:20, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kitteh :). Good to see you around the place too. It's fun seeing people's names in edit summaries and watchlists and thinking "I remember them!"
- Life is nice. Looking forward to coming home to England in not-very-many days! Keep it warm for me? In other news, I have recently definitely spent more time prettifying my userpage than improving the encyclopedia, which is probably not a good thing. My plan is to work on the Brunch article, but for some reason every time I try I get hungry and have to go and cook bacon. And possibly waffles. How are yoou? —Noiratsi (talk) 22:09, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
- Elevenses may also be something to look at then since you like mini meals =P
- Me? i'm good thanks! I decided to take on more gay topics through random searching (there's a few obvious things missing (List of gay sex positions for one)) and haven't done much else.
- I've not edited quite so much since xmas but i plan to pick up where i left off as it gets warmer. Plus i'm going to Brighton this year =D
- Have a nice day ツ Jenova20 (email) 09:41, 21 February 2013 (UTC)

New European Ombuds(wo)man
[edit]Hello, just to let you know that I posted on the Talk page of the European Ombudsman https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:European_Ombudsman#Time_for_an_update.3F
Would you mind having a look?
Thx Anne Christensen (talk) 15:14, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
To start you need to download and install the "Bing Bar " a toolbar add-on for Internet Explorer.
[edit]I was gonna tag it A1. Dlohcierekim 18:06, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
- I guess that could have worked too! I saw another similar article earlier. Seems like a bot trying to get spam links past the automatic filters by surrounding them with interesting-looking nonsense text, hence why I went for G1 (for the nonsense) and G11 (for the advertising). —Noiratsi (talk) 18:11, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
I have reviewed Dizzy fingers, which you tagged with a {{db-hoax}} tag. Please note that the page wasn't a blatant hoax; it was, however, a clear {{db-band}} page (see CSD A7). I also see that it was previously deleted - having been written by the same author, tagged by you as a {{db-hoax}}, and deleted under A7. Please don't tag such pages with a {{db-hoax}} unless it's blatantly obvious that it is, in fact, a hoax. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 16:32, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. I guess this is a judgement call—I felt it was 'blatantly obvious' that it was a hoax, given the outlandish claims involving alligators and law-enforcement, frequent references to non-existent musical instruments, farcical names, complete lack of sources etc. However I can see that A7 might have been more appropriate and less controversial so I'll bear that in mind next time. —Noiratsi (talk) 16:38, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- If it walks like a gator and eats ducks, its a gator! Dlohcierekim 16:53, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- OK, the ---- thing ate my duck, Dlohcierekim 16:55, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- Seriously, though, this is clearly confabulated. I would have deleted as nonsense years ago. When I first started, I put up a first draft that was deleted as nonsense. Now people say nonsense is just random keystrokes. As it is confabulated, it could be construed as a hoax. More charitably, as vandalism requires intent, it could be the user was trying to write their way out of writer's block or conducting a test edit. My favorite hoax concerned the shy and reclusive Pacific Northwest tree octopus. Also, one must check past versions of the article, to see if it has been usurped by a vandal. In trying to determine a hoax, one should look at the user's past contribs. Someone with a host of vandal warnings may be having us on. The hallmark of a hoax is fake ref's that link to wholy unrelated content and sometimes to Wikipedia articles. Sometimes you will find a copy-pasted article in which a fake subject's name has replaced the original. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 23:17, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
HAving posted all that, the best way to r/o a hoax is to search Google. If the subject is real, then it is probably not a hoax article. It may meet any other deletion criteria, but not hoax. Dizzy fingers is a band in Haarlem. Dlohcierekim 23:34, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
