This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hello, Mausebru, I would advise you source your edits that support your claims over your additions to the article. There is a reason I removed a lot of it because it contains Original research. I'd advise you to read this article especially the section about SYNTH. Also, a lot of your sourced additions for instance about Armenia/Artsakh and Poland fall under the latter. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 15:34, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Mausebru/sandbox/Nation Chat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Cenepa War into Draft:History of Peru under Alberto Fujimori. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. Information icon Hello, Mausebru. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:Lyons Road, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Draft space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for article space.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion under CSD G13. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occurred, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available here.

Speedy deletion nomination of Josh A

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Josh A, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Replaceable fair use File:Josh A rapper.webp

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Josh A rapper.webp. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Seraphimblade Talk to me 04:34, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:Peruvian political conflict.png

Hello there, I noticed that you made a new image for the Peruvian crisis article (the one in the Spanish Wikipedia is really outdated). I am also peruvian, so I'm naturally interesting in this. I think the image looks very nice, although there are some things that... I find a bit off. Why is the San Miguel del Ene attack included? I don't want to sound disrespectful, but that wasn't that important in the grand scheme of things. Its size and positioning makes it seems like it was something really important for the campaign. If you wanted to portrait the polarization of the 2021 campaign, just one image of Castillo (and Keiko) protesters would have worked fine, although that was not very transcendental either. Also, I personally thing it would look better if events were placed chronologicaly, but that's just me. My main complain is the San Miguel event, maybe it could be replaced with something related to Merino or Castillo? Let me know what you think - Tintero21 (talk) 03:50, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Iran–United States proxy conflict has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A completely fabricated creation consisting nothing but OR and SYNTH alleging such conflict between Iran and the United States. Not a single source backs up such a conflict because it does not exist. This is taking material from Iran–Saudi Arabia proxy conflict and Iran–Israel proxy conflict articles.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 16:30, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Universitaria Avenue (Lima) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Universitaria Avenue (Lima), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~StyyxTalk? 19:12, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Universitaria Avenue (Lima). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Blocked

[edit]

I am blocking you indefinitely and deleting your draft. We have explained to you five times on this talk page that when you copy from one Wikipedia article to another, attribution is required. You have failed to supply the required attribution in your newly recreated Draft:2019–2020 Iran–United States conflict. Some of the content also appears in the deleted article 2019–2021 Persian Gulf crisis (I already explained to you why it's not okay to copy from there) and you state in an edit summary that you copied some of it from Fandom. The Fandom article is actually an unattributed copy of our article, copied there in 2021 by a banned Wikipedia editor (user:Reguyla). Regardless, Fandom is not a reliable source, because it's a wiki. And even if it was a reliable source, if you copy from there, you have to provide attribution, as required by the terms of their license. Since you seem to not understand how to contribute productively to Wikipedia without violating the terms of our license, I am blocking you from editing. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. — Diannaa (talk) 13:26, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mausebru. Here are some questions to test your understanding of attribution as required by the terms of our license.

  • How is Wikipedia licensed?
  • Please explain in your own words how to provide attribution when copying from one Wikipedia article to another.
  • Please explain in your own words how to provide attribution when copying from Fandom. — Diannaa (talk) 12:14, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To copy from Wikipedia and to provide attribution, you must link the article in the edit description, alongside the author (aka User:Example). This is because of licensing and other reasons. For Fandom, link the article plus the author (if applicable). This is also due to copyright. Wikipedia is also licensed in a way in which you must provide attribution to the author of text. (Don't know much about licensing) Diannaa (talk · contribs) Mausebru the Peruvian (talk, contibs) 01:46, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Diannaa (talk · contribs) I have specified that I understand and comprehend the following. Now could you please unblock me? Regards--Mausebru the Peruvian (talk, contibs) 03:14, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please do some more research. I don't think you understand just yet what to do or why we do it.
  • Your answer about how Wikipedia is licensed is incomplete. "Licensing and other reasons" doesn't explain why attribution is required. (It's a requirement of our specific licenses). Please specify what licenses Wikipedia is released under (this information should be easy for you to find as the licenses are listed on every page), and read up about our licenses.
  • Your answer about Fandom is incorrect. It's not done via the edit summary. Please see Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Copying material from free sources for information on how to properly provide attribution for licensed material copied from somewhere else.
  • I would like you to provide me with an example of the exact edit summary you might use when copying within Wikipedia. Keep in mind that most articles have multiple authors, not one sole author. Some have hundreds of contributors. How is this handled in the edit summary?
  • Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. — Diannaa (talk) 14:07, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok so copying from a 'free source' requires a template depending from the licensing of the source. For Wikipedia's license, it is released under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License 3.0, which requires attribution. An example would be Copied content from [[<page name>]]; see that page's history for attribution. Here Diannaa (talk · contribs)Mausebru the Peruvian (talk, contibs) 16:20, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You already said you understood and would do it properly, and then immediately resumed the unattributed copying. Nothing appears to have changed. I have no reason to trust you again, or to believe you will change. — Diannaa (talk) 21:44, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please I actually promise (with trust) to attribute my edits once I'm unblocked. I have knowledge of licensing. Please, I was hurried. I had massive stuff to do. Please, you can trust me. I don't want to be banned or blocked without end Mausebru the Peruvian (talk, contibs) 21:47, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Please, I can't go 6 months. I will abide by the rest of terms. Is either 1 month or two ok for a deal. I can't go that long. I will promise.Mausebru the Peruvian (talk, contibs) 22:56, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Attempting to negotiate this into a time-limited block is missing the point – we want to see that you actually understand the issues that led to the initial block. Unfortunately, it became a lot harder to convincingly demonstrate that understanding when you immediately went back to copying without attribution after making similar commitments in your initial unblock request. So yes, it will be more challenging to appeal this second block, because if it didn't work the first time around, how can we be confident that it will work this time? Your best chance of success is to take some time to review guidelines like WP:Copying within Wikipedia and others linked above. Don't just read them for the purposes of trying to get unblocked; your edits to date have created real issues with licensing and attribution requirements that many other editors have had to spend time fixing. The suggestion of the standard offer is not a requirement that you must wait six months before appealing, but the idea behind it is that if you take some time to reflect on the issues with your edits and formulate a good unblock request, it will make for a far more convincing appeal than an immediate request like this one which does not actually address the issues at hand. Request reason:

Ok I will promise not to edit unattributed and will try and do my best to contribute in a good manner to Wikipedia. I promise on my life. Please. I will try my best and give my effort to abide to the rules.Mausebru the Peruvian (talk, contibs) 03:27, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

We don't want or need you to "promise on your life"; that's a bit dramatic. But I'm not seeing evidence here that you understand the issues. I strongly advise you to not request unblock again until at least March or April. Doing it sooner just wastes everyone's(including you) time. 331dot (talk) 15:18, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
