- Yes, plus it ensures that only links to relatively high quality content are added. For example, there's probably a thousand websites devoted to the Spice Girls. We can't have every single one of them adding links/references to the article. --NeilN talk ♦ contribs 18:54, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Welcome!
Welcome to the Heraldry and Vexillology WikiProject! As you're also fairly new to Wikipedia, I thought I'd just say a few things. Firstly, don't worry about the above particularly. People always need time to adapt their skills to the on-Wikipedia environment. Secondly, about the WikiProject. As you know, the main information page is here. The main discussion page is here. Examples of well-written heraldry pages include Royal Arms of the United Kingdom and others, but every contribution is important - if something needs changing, do it. I can't say that I am particularly knowledgeable on the subject however I am more than willing to do the research and become more informed. If you have any other sources that you recommend for study I would be happy to go and check them out. userpage deletions
Although it's true that you can work on an article in your userspace, and that it can start out being fairly promotional and then be trimmed down into something more appropriate...
you cannot dump advertising material in your userspace and then leave it untouched for 30 days. Understand? DS (talk) 17:47, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

- Would you kindly have a look at the following:

It seems like the Talk has been going on for days now, and at some point after the criteria is met, shouldn't the article be listed?
