Adding new content to environmental practices section
[edit]It was recently announced that Starbucks and Mercedes-Benz teamed up to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Starbucks locations, supporting sustainability efforts and the development of EV infrastructure. Source. Is this a good piece to add to the environmental practices section? Bahooka or Villa503 Appreciate your thoughts. Boycott amidst the 2023 Israel-Hamas war
[edit]"to sue the Starbucks Workers United (SWU) union for making a social media post in solidarity with Palestine" This only mentions the first part of what happened, but not the second. Which consequently gives a totally false impression of why Starbucks sued. The union in question posted a quote tweet that read 'Solidarity with Palestine' - yes that parts true. What context is missing is what they were quote tweeting: An anti-Israel account showing Hamas tearing down the border fence so they could invade Israel and proceed to massacre over 1,000 Israelis. Sentence should be re-worded to provide full context, instead of partial. https://www.ynetnews.com/article/s10bmni116

- I agree. It is flat out false that to state SWU “[made] a social media post in solidarity with Palestine” when the post was over a picture of Hamas breaking into Israel on October 7. It should read “…social media post supporting Hamas.” https://apnews.com/article/starbucks-workers-united-union-lawsuit-israel-palestinian-f212a994fef67f122854a4df7e5d13f5 71.179.129.209 (talk) 01:02, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

Please change “[made] a social media post in solidarity with Palestine” to “…social media post supporting Hamas.” https://apnews.com/article/starbucks-workers-united-union-lawsuit-israel-palestinian-f212a994fef67f122854a4df7e5d13f5 71.179.129.209 (talk) 01:39, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: I don't see anything in the source provided that supports the change. GrayStorm(Complaints Dept.|My Contribs.) 02:36, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- My apologies. Here is another article with the actual original post: https://nypost.com/2023/10/12/starbucks-workers-union-voices-solidarity-with-palestine/
- The phrase “Solidarity with Palestine!” was over a picture of Hamas militants breaking into Israel on October 7 (I did not realize that was not explicitly stated in the AP article). The post was indeed in support of Hamas, and it is misleading to state over-wise. 71.179.129.209 (talk) 04:45, 11 August 2024 (UTC)

- Not done: the supplied source doesn't support the proposed change. M.Bitton (talk) 21:30, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- This source (https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/10/13/business/starbucks-israel-palestine-workers) clearly supports the claim. It states “The union, Starbucks Workers United, posted “Solidarity with Palestine” on social media platform X above an image of a bulldozer operated by Hamas tearing down a fence on the Gaza strip during the attacks against Israel last weekend” The SWU post was in support of Hamas. 71.179.129.209 (talk) 21:42, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
