Debopriya Chatterjee and Suchismita Chatterjee

This Debopriya Chatterjee and Suchismita Chatterjee has appeared on my talk page as an approved DYK but it has not been promoted yet in the template nor does it appear in today's main page. May be a mistake. Pl check.--Nvvchar. 08:34, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Not much I could do about it I'm afraid. The Rambling Man pulled it without removing the credits. I told other editors to revert its removal, because the page was fully-protected. The credits were neither removed, nor the article reinstated. Hope that explains why it appeared on your talk page, User:Nvvchar. Regards, Jolly Ω Janner 08:41, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi, Jolly Janner. To avoid edit conflicts, you should finish the set. Please consider using more Euro hooks during daytime in Europe. Happy editing. Cheers! --PFHLai (talk) 06:33, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Sure. If I think I got it right, odd numbered preps should contain more European and US hooks, whereas even numbered should contain Asian and Australian hooks? Jolly Ω Janner 06:39, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Yes, that's the idea, based on current settings at Template:Did you know/Queue#Local update times, but "should" may be too strong a word. I was just making a suggestion. Thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 12:48, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. It is a good suggestion and one that I have in the past only really followed for special occasion hooks, but it is another factor I will take into consideration when building prep areas. Jolly Ω Janner 21:22, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

DYK preps line-up

Hi, the reason I loaded those hooks was just to vary the frequency of certain images: I noticed that people images were being placed far too frequently. Generally, we should aim for a rotation like: person - building - nature - object. Go ahead and move around the lead hooks if you wish. But I'm surprised that we're going back to slotting hooks into specific time slots. We used to do that a few years ago, but with the new 12-hour slots, I understood that we don't have to pay attention to time slots (unless, of course, the hook pertains to a very specific time, like Grammy Awards night in Los Angeles). Best, Yoninah (talk) 09:44, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

Cool, I believe PHFLai has already moved the Fillipino satellite to its respective time slot. I've gone ahead and swapped 3 and 4. I think prep 2 about the dog isn't all that US-specific, so left it be. I agree with your opinion on the use of bios. I'm aware that certain users would like to see them being used close to 50% of the time, but I would rather see it closer to 25%. Timing of the slots is normally the least important factor, so I would never move them around if it decreased the variability of our lead hooks. Jolly Ω Janner 19:48, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
Hi again. I was thinking about what User:PFHLai said, about having hooks appear in the daytime in their respective time zones. I thought that most people work during the day and hang out on their computers at night. Personally, I am much happier when one of my hooks makes a nighttime slot in New York than a daytime slot. Yoninah (talk) 14:08, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
A lot of people browse Wikipedia while at work and at school. Maybe PFHLai has more statistics on the matter. Jolly Ω Janner 18:34, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Jolly Janner, the other nomination you were proposing to combine in a hook with this one has already run as a solo hook. Can you please return to suggest a next step, or perhaps an ALT hook, since you had issues with the proposed one? Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:03, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

building prep sets?

My co-editors and I just had a DYK blessed on the 15th, if you'd like to pop it into a queue. [1]. It will be the first DYK for one of them (Horsegeek) and I'd love to see that encouragement! Thanks! Montanabw(talk) 07:48, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi Montanabw. We currently have a backlog at DYK, so I tend to promote nominations in the order that they were nominated. We also only have a limited amount of preps. As a result I or another editor will likely get round to promoting Naborr in at least a week's time. If you had a specific day in mind for it to be posted to the Main Page then let me know and I can see what I can do to facilitate it. Thanks, Jolly Ω Janner 07:58, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I build prep sets too, figured I could grab the ones you had promoted, and vice-versa. Speaking only for myself and not the other two editors, I do need it to run by the middle of next week -- before the end of the wikicup round, I need the points! ;-) Montanabw(talk) 08:31, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
As I understand, the wikicup is a competition. I certainly wouldn't want to give anyone an unfair advantage. I think it would be much more suitable to promote them chronologically. Jolly Ω Janner 08:35, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
I think I have 3 articles at DYK besides the one above. One is in the queue and the others are awaiting promotion (they've been reviewed.) White Arabian Filly (Neigh) 21:37, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
I'm currently promoting articles created/expanded on January 30. When you factor in the time it takes for the prep to reach the Main Page (about four days), we are looking at almost exactly three weeks from the creation date to appearing on Main Page. You can use this duration to work out the most likely time that I will be promoting your hooks. I highlighted I, because other prep builders do not work chronologically, so they may be promoted at some random time between now and then. My advice to the both of you is to seek other sources of points in the WikiCup such as Good Article reviews to achieve the required points to stay in the top 64. This will allow you to reach the next round and your DYK credits will be applied then (if they haven't been processed in the current round). Jolly Ω Janner 23:17, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

I'm not doing the Wikicup and I'm pretty sure Horsegeek isn't either; that's Montanabw's deal. I really don't care when a particular article gets promoted...White Arabian Filly (Neigh) 00:35, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Jolly, I've ben building prep sets for a few years now, and I blend both backlogged and newer articles together. Wikicup participants don't get credit until the article hits DYK, and the round ends next week, it is a courtesy to participants (all of us) to not penalize participants because the place is backlogged. I'd gladly promote any other participant's article if they asked me, I just cannot promote my own. This is a simple courtesy. Montanabw(talk) 06:20, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
I don't want to get involved in this to be honest. Take it up with Wikicup. Jolly Ω Janner 06:23, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
I did; I offered build a prep set that includes approved hooks for any other wikicup participant that need points by the deadline; part of the goal here is to improve articles, not get bogged down in bureaucratic backlogs. I know how to build prep sets and frequently do so. I am just disappointed that you feel no sense of professionals qpq courtesy, particularly when I promoted some articles you had passed (and thus could not also promote under the DYK rules). Montanabw(talk) 11:15, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, the solution you proposed at the WikiCup seems like a more fair solution. Jolly Ω Janner 19:40, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Prep 1

Hi, I noticed that you just added a non-bio hook to the quirky slot in this prep. There are only 2 bios in this 8-hook set, and I noted in the edit history that I moved a non-bio out of the quirky slot to make room for another bio. I've actually written or reviewed a few (Template:Did you know nominations/Mildred Brown Schrumpf, Template:Did you know nominations/Xu You (Southern Tang), Template:Did you know nominations/Zhang Xichun, Template:Did you know nominations/Edwina Hume Fallis, Template:Did you know nominations/Gilda E. It's relatively easy for them to duplicate user pages: you simply press "edit" and copy everything from the page. At the risk of appearing as if I am jumping to conclusions, I think they're a sockpuppet. Several accounts have been created with similar names in the past, all of which have engaged in vandalism. --Ches (talk) 20:25, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Category clarification needed

I will admit adding Category:1907 establishments in Canada to Dodge Cove was an error, because I was not aware of the provincial subcategory, which I added later. Why is it that you still reverted the addition of the aforementioned subcat? Even if the subject is an unincorporated community, wouldn't it still count as a populated place in which people live? Quoting from your edit summary "Organizations, places, awards and competitions" are the scope of the Year of establishment in place categories. (emphasis mine). Vycl1994 (talk) 01:43, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

@Vycl1994:, you are quite right. I misread the category's description of its scope. Now reverted. Sorry about that. Jolly Ω Janner 02:40, 4 March 2016 (UTC)

Long-closed DYKs should not be reopened

Jolly Janner, I've just reverted your reopening of the Baleen whale DYK, which was closed back in January.

If a previously nominated and rejected article gets a second chance, usually due to it becoming a GA, then a new nomination needs to be made. That's how it's supposed to be done. Unfortunately, I didn't see the recent resurrection of one of the Upanishad nominations until it was too late: there were far too many edits to the reinstated nomination for me to revert it. In this case, there were only two.

If there are problems restarting the nomination due to the template name, create it with a name like "Baleen Whale 2", and all should be well. I'd be happy to help if there are any problems. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 08:17, 6 March 2016 (UTC)

I noticed the Upanishad one too and I guess that's where I got the idea from. Thanks for you response. Do we have this in our Wikipedia:Did you know/Supplementary guidelines? Might be an idea to add it if not. I've informed the nominator to start from scratch as you said. Jolly Ω Janner 08:23, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
No, we don't; it wasn't as much of a problem in the past since it very rarely happened that an article that was nominated in its early days would be 5x expanded months or years later. Still, it does happen, and this is how it's usually handled. The nominator should transclude the new nomination template under the GA date, not the original date. I'll think about where the new guideline best belongs. As noted, if the nominator has any problems, I'll be happy to help. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:26, 6 March 2016 (UTC)

Did You Know Query

Hi, sorry to ask this but would it be possible for you to explain how to check if Carrie Johnson has been expanded five-fold? I'm afraid the explanations on-wiki have somewhat blinded me with (computer) science. Thanks Red Fiona (talk) 02:33, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

@Redfiona99: of course. The most accurate way is to follow the instructions at User:Shubinator/DYKcheck#Using DYKcheck.Basically copy and paste
importScript('User:Shubinator/DYKcheck.js'); //DYKcheck tool
to User:Redfiona99/vector.js and save. When you go to the article on Carrie Johnson, there should now be a button on the left-hand column saying DYK check under "tools". Click it and it should automatically tell you whether it's been expanded 5x recently. For more detailed analysis you can click the tool while viewing the revision history. I can tell you that the article was previously 428 characters. It is currently 1,121 characters, so a further 1,019 is required (roughly double its current size). Hope that helps. Any questions, feel free to ask. Jolly Ω Janner 02:45, 12 March 2016 (UTC)

Hello, Jolly,

I hope I am not intruding upon the DYK process by leaving a reply on the nomination while it was in queue. I believe the information I left will benefit the nomination.

Georgejdorner (talk) 15:42, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

No, it is perfectly acceptable to raise concerns and to discsuss hooks while they're in the prep or queue (although if it's within 12 hours of going live on the Main Page, Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors is not a bad place to post too). You should avoid posting in the nomination subpage for a particular article after it has been archived. It may well be re-opened, but you should wait until that point. One of the main reasons, is that not a lot of people watch over individual subpages. Jolly Ω Janner 19:00, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

Talk:Bacha Khan University attack#Syed Hamid Hussain

Jolly Janner, your insertion of the above entry at the requests for closure page has been reverted. Firstly, new requests are placed at the bottom of the relevant section or page. Secondly, you have not followed the procedure for proposing a merge, including tagging the relevant pages. Thirdly, closures are not completed for a third opinion solicited through 3O.

It appears there was a lack of clarity in what you were told, perhaps because you were not given a direct link to the merge request procedure as above (and were unnecessarily given a link to ANRFC at this stage). Ncmvocalist (talk) 02:42, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for explaining to me. I am a little unfamiliar with the procedures, so apologise for the inconvenience. Ncmvocalist, do you know which pages need to be tagged? I have already tagged Syed Hamid Hussain and Bacha Khan University attack. Jolly Ω Janner 02:48, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
The selection of pages fine, but the link needs to direct people to the location of the discussion. For more information about this, see paragraph 2 of step 3 of the procedure. It may be worthwhile starting a fresh RfC on the issue to increase the likelihood that you have comments from uninvolved editors (so that a closure can occur at the conclusion of the discussion). The procedures for the RfC are contained in the RfC link. Ncmvocalist (talk) 02:57, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Ah shit, you are right. I changed the title of the heading on the talk page without updating the merge tag links. I'm not sure how big of an impact this would have though? I mean, it still takes you to the discussion page. I will start a fresh RfC instead, since some merge requests go on for years without any comments. Thanks again. Catharine van Tussenbroek

@Gerda Arendt and Jolly Janner: Thanks for your work on this. I know it seems as if I am not grateful for your work, but that is not the case. Clearly what I find interesting and what everyone else does is not the same. I think I just need to be done with DYK for a while again. This is no reflection on either of you. It's too much work for too little gain. I don't see it as a positive to increase the number of women on the main page if we have to appeal to the average reader just to get them read. It's too much like begging and their accomplishments deserve more than that. DYK leans way more toward popular culture than I am willing to go. SusunW (talk) 19:40, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

Sorry, I think we have a misunderstanding, which is easily my language) problem. I watch DYK for six years now and try to share my experience. I started telling the reader everything about the subject I could squeeze in 200 characters, but learned that if "everything" is said there already, the reader will not click to the article, where the context and background is. (That's not begging, nor appealing to "popular".) I also learned that DYK is watched closely for factual correctness, so try to check that early, because later adjustments are much harder. I make mistakes, and I don't need gratefulness ;) - SusunW, I am grateful for your work!! - I can stop reviewing your articles, if that makes life easier for you, - just looking for "in Red" takes me to them all the time ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:00, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
DYK can be stressful at times too, so hopefully taking a break will keep driving you to edit Wikipedia. Who knows, maybe with less time spent on the nominations, you will be able to use more resources in writing articles. I certainly hope to see more nominations from you in the future and expect to see more of your articles appearing, but with someone else taking care of the nomination's bureaucracy. Thank you, Jolly Ω Janner 20:38, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
Not what I meant at all Gerda Arendt. I find DYK exhausting and would far rather that someone who actually evaluates the article do the review than someone who will rubber stamp it. I learn from your reviews and truly do appreciate them. Yet, when I look at the hooks that are promoted and what makes the 5,000+ views list, it is clearly designed for popular topics. I typically write about political activism, which isn't light and appealing to most--Oh yes, and women, which WP culture isn't too keen on either. It takes far too much effort to find the sources to verify the articles and write them. Then to go through the DYK process, is just too much. I am rarely burned on accuracy, but that interesting thing, is mind-numbing. She did this is boring. She did this because of that, makes me want to know more. Clearly I'm weird. The truth is that I truly don't care if my articles appear on the front page. I do however care if the gender balance of the queues is disproportionate, but I have to let it go. It just is what it is and I cannot solve it. I have nominated a ton of articles for Women's Month and I'll finish those out, but I'm not nominating any more. Hopefully the rest will quickly be reviewed and I can back away from it. Just need to go back to writing, as the stress is too much. Thanks Jolly Janner my perfect world ;) I write, someone else deals with tedium. SusunW (talk) 21:05, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
Like you, I write about topics that are not for the masses that make it to the stats (had two stats articles in 672). I think the DYK process is worth it to reach 300 extra readers who would not otherwise find the article. It doesn't have to be stressful if you go for a simple hook, - or if you let me do that for the next. I often nominate for others, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:12, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

thanks for thanks

Your comment of "Thanks" to my 2016 Brussels bombing talk page comments is a nice response, unlike the harsh and combative responses that is too common in Wikipedia today. Virgin Little Red in Prep

Hi JJ, I appreciate what you were saying with Virgin Atlantic Little Red however there wasn't any innuendo intended in that. I only put dominated because it was in the article. When I first came up with the hook I had initially thought of putting squashed in there but thought that the no-fun police would veto it. Now that I see that is accepted then I am happy that squashed in there. I was tempted to go for ate as an alternative but I'm happy with squashed on the main page for AFD. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 21:04, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Ah that is a dear shame, as it was my favourite hook this year, because of the sexual innuendo. Maybe things would have been different if I had been the first to promote it. Thanks for such a personal message! Jolly Ω Janner 21:08, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Well if you really really want to make it an innuendo, we could maybe put swallowed in it to fit the giant eating theory, just so long as the vice squad of the no-fun police don't raid it! The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 21:18, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi, it's me again. Sorry if I may bother you. I'm still not happy with some pieces of the article, especially the "Unemployment" section. In the last few days I've been writing some things down to change the unemployment section and to add a new section regarding taxation. It's not finished yet, but what do you think (except for the wording and grammar errors - someone needs to look over it xD)? Am I going in the right direction? Any suggestions? User:Olliyeah/sandbox

P.S. The draft about NUTS region is looking good.Olliyeah (talk) 10:16, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
I think the employment is the wrong direction for the article (although the amount or prose is the right direction). Its title is "Economy of the European Union", not "Economies of member states of the European Union". Everything is broken down at a country level including the table. While general trends such as higher unemployment in the East and South may need a brief mention (perhaps no more than a sentence), the rest of it should take a more general view. It could be useful in List of countries in the European Union by unemployment. I will have to give a more thorough read through to check the verifability of the taxation section. I would advise that, unless you are citing an entire paragraph to only one citation, to use citations at the end of each sentence. It becomes very difficult to check the verifiability when each sentence could have come from four different sources and no indication of which one. I would also try to use secondary sources as much as possible i.e. something other than the European Commision for a law that they themselves enacted. This is helpful in establishing a less bias method on deciding what is and isn't suitable for the article. Jolly Ω Janner 10:29, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Agree with the citations at the end of each sentence - I'll do that. Another question: I got most of it from a thesis I wrote at university (I study tax law) - is self plagiarism a problem? I can use secondary sources, but regarding that specific topic there's only newspaper articles. If that's not a problem, I'll use them. I agree and disagree at the same time with the employment section. It should be more general, but I think it would be a mistake to not go into details - especially because often you can't make any meaningful statements about the European Union as a whole. Its hard to give the reasons for the high unemployment (lets keep the crisis aside for a moment), if I don't talk about Southern Europe having generally a less flexible labor market or the low unemployment for people under 25 in Germany or Austria because of the reliance in their education system on vocational schools. The European Union is not a country and consists of different economies, thus I think breaking it up by country is helpful. Having said that I agree with you with trying to keep it more general. How about keeping it general in the written text (that means completely different than the stuff I wrote) and using the table to show the differences in each country.Olliyeah (talk) 13:19, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
So long as you didn't publish your thesis with a copyright notice, I see no problem. Yes, always cite everything. I think highlighting key country's economic policies that effect unemployment may be helpful, but it reads like a broken down list of each country. No one really cares about Malta, unfortunately. It's all about the big economics like Germany. I would assume this to be quite apparent if you were to read and derive some information from printed works. I actually think the tables should be off in separate articles. If we're ever to get the article in decent shape, eradicating tables is the top priority. I would suggest keeping the article to a maximum of one table as the economies of member states (that's why I put so much effort into it!), as it's the only one worth keeping. Unemployment is already in that table. A more detailed analysis of unemployment and for each country goes outside of the scope of article. Economy of India, Economy of Iran and Economy of Ohio are good precedents to go by. Take note of how much of the article's space is taken up by tables. Worst case scenario, you may be able to use the hidden function on the table. Jolly Ω Janner 09:55, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

EU Referendum

Hi, you reverted my edit | here, the page you reference appears not to show any data, (possibly because the NI assembly has dissolved on Tuesday). Can you verify the link, or point me to the data I should be looking at - Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.18.177.13 (talk) 17:28, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

If you go to this page, and search by party (include "former members") and select NI21, it lists Basil McCrea as a "Previous Member" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.18.177.13 (talk) 17:45, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
It looks like a rather complicated matter. I presume NI21 still exist and are campaigning for reelection in that seat no? Anyway, I'm no expert on politics in NI, so this matter should be taken to the referendum talk page, so the others can chime in. Jolly Ω Janner 20:45, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
The party still exists, however they have no elected reresentitives at any level, and they are not fielding any candidates in the assembly elections [2] [3]
I will reiterate my above point and advise you to take this to the referendum talk page. Jolly Ω Janner 03:45, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

EU Referendum Results Page

Hi would you please have a look at the current layout of the Draft:Results of the United Kingdom European Union membership referendum, 2016 page please, I think the layout looks pretty good we just need a few we pretty much and may need some additional sections as well. Still got the question of what to do about Gibraltar but very minor nine the less. (46.64.217.156 (talk) 09:11, 31 March 2016 (UTC))

I've done a cleanup. The referendum is not a devolved matter, so it makes a rather bold claim when you use different heading levels for English regions than Scotland... I also removed Northern Ireland's "section" entirely, since it is duplicated (hopefully this is seen as common sense rather than an attempt to make a statement about NI). I also removed that sea-saw graphic. I understand some things are helped with graphics, but simply stating 55% voted X is about as simple as it gets. Gibraltar is covered by SW England section. Also I couldn't be bothered to do it to every section yet, but this seems like the way to go. Jolly Ω Janner 09:30, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

I accept the regions change as it does make the page a bit cleaner however we must have some kind of section for Northern Ireland, yes they are a separate regional Council and the result must be displayed on the page as a region in it self in some kind. Do you think Gibraltar is sufficiently covered? (46.64.217.156 (talk) 11:52, 31 March 2016 (UTC))

Northern Ireland section seems fine. Yes, Gibraltar is sufficiently covered. Jolly Ω Janner 03:46, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

Can you Please add a little box to this map so Gibraltar is included within the map, there is plenty of room for a inclusion it's fortunate that South West England is a Peninsula (46.64.217.156 (talk) 06:48, 1 April 2016 (UTC))

All of the maps used in the draft need to be uploaded under a different name anyway (eventually they will be overwritten when the results are released). If one was to overwrite that map now, it would have unfortunate consequences for the rest of our articles! Anyway, when I or someone else gets round to uploading them all, we will perform checks such as ensuring the same colour background is used for England as is for Wales and yes, your beloved Gibraltar will be added to SW England. I don't have the time right now and we have plenty of time. Jolly Ω Janner 06:54, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

One would require a source detailing the observed conditions at each of the levels going up to level 30 (that's what you added and we have difficulty believing). We already covered the use of the extended scale in some Asian countries in the article. Jolly Ω Janner 19:32, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Panama and Cameron

There will no doubt be an article about Blairmore Holdings here on WP before long, and especially about the fallout of the Panama papers regarding David Cameron. The Cameron aspect is a key part of what makes it a big story - at least in the UK media and UK politics. So the question why his father picked just that name has some relevance, even if it might not get answered within the current article. 83.251.170.27 (talk) 00:40, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

83.251.170.27 I don't think Blairmore Holdings meets our criteria for notability. As I said on your talk page, try looking for answers at our reference desk about such queries. On this particular matter, here is your answer: "Blairmore, named after Ian Cameron’s former family home in Scotland...". Jolly Ω Janner 00:45, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Consider yourself pinged! The article is not perfect by a damn sight but I think it's OK. Tigerboy1966  14:00, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Looks like it's already gone up. It looks alright now. The race overview seems to be original research/commentary, but the facts contained in it are likely true. Hopefully being on Main Page can aid its improvement. Jolly Ω Janner 19:17, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Withdrawing reports?

So, Jolly Janner. You want to withdraw *both* of your WP:AN3 reports about the Mohamed Abrini article? Both Valoem and Parsley Man? EdJohnston (talk) 02:48, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

I appear to be somewhat unfamiliar on the process at WP:AN3. If you feel comfortable closing the discussion on Parsley Man then please do so. I do not feel comfortable in assessing his previous edit warring history. Similar story for Valoem, although I feel a little more confident in saying that no block is neccessary. Jolly Ω Janner 03:22, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I saw your proposal about copying it to Wikipedia Commons. I come here to say support because that page, along with others, is ridiculous. !Winterysteppe (talk) 21:41, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

It should be a pretty easy transfer (literally copy and paste to the same name at Commons). And then remove the gallery from Wikipedia page and keep the prose. Jolly Ω Janner 22:36, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
On another note, the files do not have a rationale for being free. The wrong license tags were used. The SA one just says "No copyright shall subsist in official texts of a legislative, administrative or legal nature, or in official translations of such texts.". I queried Fry on the matter a while ago and he told me to go away. Jolly Ω Janner 22:39, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
Idk about that. I just don't quite agree with having that many pictures. Or even having an article with that many photos on it. Winterysteppe (talk) 23:17, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

DYK Hook Removal

Hello there! So my nomination of Sam Pepper was recently removed from prep, to which I responded back in the current discussion of the removal in WT:DYK. I see that you were also involved in the discussion and I would like a response back to clear up the situation, as well as hopefully revive the removed hook. Thank you! Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Reactions to the 2016 Brussels bombings (2nd nomination): Revision history

Hi. Can you now take a look at this? I don't think there's anything wrong with saying the nom is WP:POINTY (which it is) and it's certainly not OK for said nom to remove my comment to say that. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:05, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
