Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Disambiguation-Class Texas road transport articles, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Disambiguation-Class Texas road transport articles has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Disambiguation-Class Texas road transport articles, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Orphaned non-free media (File:TXDOT.JPG)
Thanks for uploading File:TXDOT.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I-75 in Florida
What's with getting rid of the towns I added to the exit list? ---DanTD (talk) 20:13, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- Which towns in particular are you referring to? I only removed the instances where the exit list claimed that the interchange was within the city limits of a particular city when it wasn't (Gainesville comes to mind) and when the location listed wasn't in an incorporated area. Several didn't even have Wikipedia articles, all incorporated areas have Wikipedia articles. It is possible that I removed a city that shouldn't have been removed. --Holderca1 talk 20:21, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- Pretty much every town. As for Gainesville, signs on I-75 near there read "Gainesville Next 4 Exits." ----DanTD (talk) 20:43, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- I reviewed the census data and I had incorrectly removed some of them. A sign reading "Gainesville Next 4 Exits" does not mean that those exits are within the city limits of those cities, it just means that you can access the city from those exits. I have seen guide signs that shown that where the city limits are a good 10 miles from the interchange. --Holderca1 talk 20:49, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- Pretty much every town. As for Gainesville, signs on I-75 near there read "Gainesville Next 4 Exits." ----DanTD (talk) 20:43, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- I just realized I was using 1990 census data, going to go through with the 2000 data to check each interchange again. It is possible that their has been a change since then, have to look at those on a case-by-case basis. --Holderca1 talk 20:51, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
- I-75 goes through a lot of towns that may or may not be recognized by the US Census. In northern Pasco County, for example it goes through "Pasco" which is west of San Antonio, and Blanton. There are plenty of other examples as well. ----DanTD (talk) 14:29, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- I just looked at Pasco on google maps and I didn't see anything there, nothing showing the limits of the town/city. Can you provide a source that shows that the interchange falls within the boundaries of Pasco and not just near it? --Holderca1 talk 14:46, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not so sure google maps would have that. There are lots of older maps that show the interchange as being in Pasco. There are even some recent Rand McNally ones that have it. Places like this are unincorporated. ----DanTD (talk) 16:17, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- There in lies the problem, we can't include unincorporated places since they have no established boundaries. Without boundaries, it is impossible to say an interchange is in that town or not. I will bring this over to WT:USRD for broader input. --Holderca1 talk 17:09, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

LA 1067 SVG needed
I observe that you do a dandy job of generating SVGs for state highway shields. Can you perhaps make one for Louisiana Highway 1067 (LA 1067)? The article already exists, and at least one other article needs the shield, and others will inexorably need it. Your expert assistance at your earliest convenience will be appreciated. Favors
I know this is a lot of favors to ask, but can you do some things for me? in Ibox TY current, is there a way to correspond what you put in the winds and what comes out in the Current Storm Status so you don't have to put type and category? For the hurricane one, is it okay if you add the convert templates in that infobox like in TY current and possibly add the corresponding thing? Do you understand what I'm saying? If not, message me on my talk page. Thanks! Darren23Edits|Mail 21:34, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, that's pretty much what I was asking. And 1 more thing I thought about. I really feel like the Current storm information paragraph is redundant for storms in the NHC/CPHC AOR. Can the 35 kt and 64 kt wind radii be added to the Ibox hurricane current? Darren23Edits|Mail 01:33, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Sign revamping
Don't know if this is going to be a huge priority, but the Louisiana highway shields are getting updated to a new black-and-white version, with a border. The Louisiana Highway page has some photos of the new signs, one with a border (green and white) and one without (the cheap versions that the state is producing for back roads). It might be a project that needs to be done sooner than later, as Interstate exits are being put up with the new bordered signs. Another user, Fredddie, has made a black-and-white shield for one of the highways, which is a new number created in the past few months. It would have been inaccurate to put it as a green and white shield, and since we have one highway (LA 1258) with a black-and-white shield, it might be time to update the shields to the new design.
To the right are the links to images from around the state with the new signs.
The state is changing these shields pretty fast! Let me know on my talk page how I can be of assistance, and I would gladly help.
Also, if not too much to ask, if I send you the dimensions of the old porcelain Louisiana highway signs (they're a diamond shape with a pelican), could I have a few shields made for my talk page? Or if not, could I have instructions on how to generate them myself? They would be used for articles, too, where the old route would be important. Mcdonaat (talk) 07:26, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi! Recently, there has been a Wikipedia-wide initiative to audit older featured articles, and we were wondering if you were keeping an eye on yours to make sure that it remains a quality article. While a lot of us monitor all USRD featured articles for poor quality edits, we might miss factual issues where we are not familiar with the road. Hello, Holderca1. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, U.S. Route 285 in Texas, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Jamesbushell.au (talk) 22:44, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
