Article | Notes | Sources |
---|---|---|
Food desert | Article needs a more global focus and could be better organized | |
Food security | ||
Hunger in the United States | ||
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program | Article needs updated with 2021 policy updates | |
Farmers' markets | Needs more info about history/structure and acceptance of SNAP benefits and other U.S. federal programs. Could try to expand global focus/info, too. | |
Impact of farmers' markets on economies within the United States | ||
Market Wagon | Entry is in good shape, but needs categories. |
|
Indianapolis City Market | Stub. The City Market is described as a food hall, but was once a farmers market. |
|
Marsh Supermarkets | Entry is in good shape, but would benefit from photographs--anyone have one of a store for sale or vacant? | |
Indianapolis White Castle | Entry is not about the food, but could use an update. Current photo? What is the status of the building? Who has used it since 2011? | |
Flanner House | Entry needs an expanded lead. Section on Cleo’s Bodega needs citations. | |
2022 United States infant formula shortage | Entry mentions that Indianapolis is a "Nestlé distribution hub," but that's probably Anderson, Indiana. The entry for Nestlé does not mention its hubs. | |
Indiana State Fair | Entry states that Indiana was the 6th state to establish an "agricultural fair"--needs citation. Entry does not describe role of agriculture in more recent iterations of the fair. | |
National FFA Organization | Entry is in good shape, but mentions that convention will be held in Indianapolis until 2024. That can be updated to 2031. | * https://www.ibj.com/articles/71668-indianapolis-wins-bid-to-host-ffa-convention-through-2031 |
Corteva | Stub. Entry mentions use of beagles in research at this Indiana ag company ... as a "Criticism," but gives the controversy over Dicamba very little mention. |
|
Mycogen Seeds | Entry is a stub. Company was acquired by Corteva and then its lead product was replaced by a different brand. | |
List of U.S. state foods | Indiana does not have a "state food," but it does have a "state pie" and a "state snack." | |
Alcohol laws of Indiana | Stub. This entry does not provide any history or context and merely begins with the 2018 repeal of Sunday sales. | |
Kroger | Entry mentions that Kroger built an "ultra-modern" dairy plant (Crossroads Farms Dairy) in Indianapolis--citation needed. |
