CM Punk movese

Considering Punk's drastically different moveset between the indies and WWE I have tried to accomodate it without the need for excessive dates. See here: CM Punk#In wrestling –– Lid(Talk) 03:11, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Mr. Kennedy

([[Hey Gavyn i know it's not much but kennedy said he calls the leg hook reverse STO the Green Bay Bullet. I talked to him backstage a month ago. Plus, kennedy never did just a snap DDT he did it to an opponent who was on their knees which he called the Wisconsin Spiker. Watch old episodes of Smackdown and you'll see what i mean. So please leave my edits there. Thank You]]) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macterminator138 (talkcontribs) 20:08, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

About the Ron Killings pag

I'm fairly new with using a wiki account so I'm not sure if this was the correct way to contact you but I just wanted to ask why did you undo the changes I made in the "Ron Killings" page? It's a fact that's all over the wrestling world all over wrestling sites that Ron Killings has signed a contract with the WWE. Just wondering, Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kuruptedhead (talkcontribs) 08:25, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Ric Flair Article

I would like to know why you deleted my post (about a month ago) on the Ric Flair Article( When Flair faced MVP at Royal Rumble 2008). It was 100% relevant. I was told that it was deleted because it was not a 'notable' match, and yet I checked the article today and someone had added the exact same info (as I had) to the Ric Flair article and it has not been deleted. Why?????????? Thanks Jon56WWE

Re:PCE

No problem, man. I too have been removing his edits from the past, the edit on Kane's page, to me, didn't make any sense whatsoever. Question: Is this really needed for Mr. Kennedy's article? ----> His gimmick is of a cocky young cheesehead who loves to brag about his accomplishments, often being "less than truthful" in his statements. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:51, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

In appreciation of your excellent vandal-fighting. Keep it up, Gavyn. P.S. I'll remove the "comment" of Kennedy's page. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:56, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
You're welcome. P.S. That edit to WrestleMania 23, hilarious. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:40, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Nice, I'll probably use that when I have "my moments". But, that was awesome. ;) Are you working on any PPV's or... --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:45, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
That's cool. IMO, a WrestleMania article would be hard to work on, but I give you props for working on it. ;) I was actually thinking if you wanted to work on a PPV, but I'm pretty sure that you'd like to stick to removing vandalism from articles. P.S. Good job fixing the links to the PPV's. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:31, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
I'll keep my fingers crossed so WM23 becomes a GA. I mean, it did work for No Way Out '04. ;) P.S. Would you like to sign autograph book? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:50, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, do that and see if the article can surpass to GA or even FA. Thanks for signing. ;) P.S. Have you thought of using a signature to your name? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:00, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Oh, cause with a name like Gavyn Sykes.... imagine what the name can represent. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:05, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
That's cool. I respect your "suave" way... of being yourself. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:11, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

As far as I know, you are correct except for the Matches section for PPV's. Hence why Elimination Chamber is linked twice! -GuffasBorgz7- 23:11, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

No Way Out (2008)

Sure I dont mind. I did up to the Show/Mayweather confrontation. You can write the rest if you want.--TrUCo9311 22:16, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
When I said "rest", I meant the rest of the event section, as I wrote more than half of it. So you still can write the WWE title match and the RAW EC match. --TrUCo9311 22:28, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Well I did complete the 2007 WWE Draft and after Im done expanding NWO, I would like to work on the WWE Brand Extension, by making it into a draft article like the 2007 one.--TrUCo9311 22:53, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually I didn't write the rest, as I was leaving it for you. Also note the above comment about the draft pages.TrUCo9311 22:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Oh well I guess someone else wrote it. You can still try to trim the RAW elimination chamber a bit, its kinda too long. Oh for the drafts, I haven't watched WWE for that long either and I just learn from the sources and the brand extension will have a bunch and a hell of alot of sources.TrUCo9311 22:15, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Ashley Massaro

Hello Gavyn Sykes. I just want to start out by saying that I respect you as an editor here on Wikipedia more than I do a lot of other editors. I actually feel like we have a similar editing style and share the same opinions on most topics, which is pretty cool to see. That being said however, I disagree with your revert of my edit to the Ashley Massaro article. Rather than getting into a disruptive edit war, I would like to discuss this issue with you so either one of us can get some more insight on the matter.

I know that for some time now in WWE Ashley has not been referred to as 'Ashley Massaro', but having both names listed under her ring name section doesn't make sense to me. It isn't a separate ring name like Johnny Nitro and John Morrison, but rather it is a shorter version of the same name. I guess it could be considered simply a changed name. I think a good compromise would be to write in the opening sentence of the lead section "Ashley Marie Massaro (born May 26 1979), better known simply as Ashley, is an…" but I would like your opinion and views on this rather than just add the information immediately.

Thank you for reading and I hope to hear back from you. - Deep Shadow 21:18, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm not 100% clear about the Manual of Style myself, but Nikki311 made this edit to the Lisa Marie Varon article in regards to partial boldface, citing MOS:BOLD as the reason for reverting. I'm not too sure if this is the same situation but I thought I would mention it anyway. - Deep Shadow 14:18, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Cool. I will make the change now. Thank you for discussing this with me. :) - Deep Shadow 15:18, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Rollback

Hello Gavyn Sykes, I have granted rollback rights for your account. The reason for this is that you are an effective vandal-fighter, and know the difference between a good-faith edit and vandalism. I know that you will not abuse rollback. If you don't want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck. --LAX 01:11, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome. :) Will do since I've never had a problem with you either. --LAX 01:24, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

WM 24 matches

I wasn't aware of the consensus about adding matches, sorry. I thought the US broadcasts had precedence. ArcAngel (talk) 15:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: When to add Matches

A broadcast of SmackDown in Australia s a reliable enough source to add matches. You cannot remove matches that have a reliable source, period. Consensus has changed. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 15:43, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Can you add any links that are necessary to the Event for SummerSlam (2004)? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 16:38, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, Gavyn. I really appreciate it. ;) If you want another job, just let me know. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 16:45, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Alrighthy, then. ;) Do you mind going over Vengeance (2005) and see if everything is in place, (meaning the links and stuff), if you still have your Saturday free time. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 16:49, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Yup, I'll get to it then. There's a confusing statement in the Summerslam article though: On the August 26 edition of SmackDown!, Orlando Jordan, who was representing JBL, met Undertaker in a WWE Championship match, in which Undertaker won after interference from JBL, which resulted in JBL retaining the title." How did JBL retain his title in a match he wasn't involved in? Gavyn Sykes (talk) 16:54, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks and Orlando replaced or substituted for JBL, cause JBL was "injured" and apparently 'Taker was almost about to win the title, but JBL interfered in the match, which 'Taker won the match, but JBL retained. It says here. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 17:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
Sure, sarcasm or Sure, thanks? That's the question. ;) Are you still bored? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 18:38, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
I know how you feel. I feel the same when it comes to PPV's. But, hey if you want another job, you know where to find me. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 18:42, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Well you never are involved in disputes, and you never disrespect anyone and you give advice. Would you like to learn though?--TrUCo9311 20:25, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Well when sourcing from the internet, you need to use the citeweb template. So lets say you want to source this.. "John Cena defeated Shawn Michaels to retain the WWE Championship".

1)"John Cena defeated Shawn Michaels to retain the WWE Championship." Lets say you used WWE.com to source it,

"John Cena defeated Shawn Michaels to retain the WWE Championship." <ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.wwe.com|accessdate=2008-03-01|title=WWE Homepage|last=McMahon|first=Vince|publisher=World Wrestling Entertainment|date=2008-03-01}}</ref>

This is what you would put to source it.

URl=well the url
title=The title of the article, you have to put the real title, if there is none, put a general title.
last=The author's last name, most articles have the authors name, so you will put their last name here.
first=The author's first name, same principles as the last name apply.
accessdate=The day you got the article, so the date you found it, and then you would write in this format "2008-03-01". (YYYY-MM-DD)
publisher=The company that published the article, so an article from WWE.com was published by World Wrestling Entertainment
date=The date the article was published.

Note:Not all of this information will be available, so try to fill in as much as you can.

2)"John Cena defeated Shawn Michaels to retain the WWE Championship."[1]

That is how it would look and down here is how it would appear...TrUCo9311 20:43, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

why did u revert my edit to john cenas page it needs to be noted that he won the rights to face randy orton and triple h for the wwe title its not news it fact also how many tripe treat take overs has there been i only no of this one so it should mension that too beside hes been up to a lot since no way out its not week by week states its just a few good things thats happened latley and should be noted please don't revert again also some how the albums have got cought up in all this could you help with that as i'm still getting used to wikipedia thank you for taking time to read this KCDavis (talk) 17:21, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

maby ur right but he should have the bit about beeing gm in the triple treat takeover as it was important maby in the accoplishments and it he was the first of the three kk thats all please don't edit this out is u still feel this to be bad then well talk more but i have been doing my own wrestling project and this info was relevent to me so it could be relevent to others aswell KCDavis (talk) 18:46, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

also would you please look at the steve blackman page tell me if my edit to the hardcore titles is ok asa i'm still new to this again thake you for your time i have done a similer thing on Rob Van Dams Page KCDavis (talk) 18:46, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

just to let you know when vince won the ecw title it was not a world title just a normal title macmahon is not a two time world champion check PWI thank you i will revert this later or u can do something better that would explain this more i have written something simler to this on Vinces talk page KCDavis (talk) 19:10, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Did u revert what i did at the top cuz the same keeps happinging oto me i just put that there to see if it would get deleted as LAX keeps putting the same on Mcmahons page and i hope u could tell me how to report people to wikipedia cuz LAX is reverting every artical i edit thake you for your time KCDavis (talk) 20:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I am sorry. But you must realize that IT IS WWE'S PAY PER VIEW!!! No on esles so we must keep with wwe.com. They have the most accurate info.

That has no correlation. Video games are based on other things. WWE's pay per view ISN'T.
We should try to get Backlash 2008 protected. The unregistered users are messing it up again.

Spoilers

Fair enough. That is basically what I meant. It has no reliable source. I will be more clear next time. -GuffasBorgz7- 04:46, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

WrestleMania 23

Recently, I have been improving WrestleMania 23 and while doing so, I have noticed that there are many places missing a citation where one should be placed. And since you, as well as D.M.N., are the ones who expanded it, I was wondering if you two were ever planning on filling in those missing citations? If not, I would be more welcome to do that the best I can. Regards, –LAX 01:53, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

It should be worth mentioning on the article in his WCW chapter that he was able to lift the 500 pound Giant (now known as Paul "The Big Show" Wight) in a vertical suplex position with one hand and Jackhammer him, cuz I've noticed that many people don't believe he could do it... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.53.208.218 (talk) 05:25, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Re:Ready

It's ok (in response to the List of WCW World Tag Team Champions), next time be careful not to remove part of the table. =D

  • Things to do (me and you)
  1. Create a reception section, this should have like the amount of units sold, game ratings by IGN/Game Spot, etc. (You dont need to do it for every game, just like the original SmackDown game, the first SmackDown! vs Raw, and the most recent.
  2. If you can think of anything else to add, tell me, if not refer to the reception section of Crazy Taxi (series)
  3. Create a "Games" Section, write a brief paragraph about the different games released. Then provide a see also template that redirects to List of WWE SmackDown video game titles ( I will create that later)
  4. Under season mode, can you write a paragraph about the General Manager mode?
  5. We also need a development section like in Crazy Taxi (series). We need to write about the soundtrack, the storylines, and the extensive voice over that goes into the games. And any other development info. Also, try to find something about legalities.
  6. After we are done with that, we can have it peer reviewed and then nominated for good article. But after we are done, I will move this into the main space into the WWE SmackDown (video game series), and then I will move what is currently in the series article to List of WWE video game titles, and that can go to FLC.--SRX--LatinoHeat 18:11, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

It's ok, I like to work fast. But sometimes it always doesn't turn out good. Can you take a look at both articles and give me feedback, thanks.--SRX--LatinoHeat 03:14, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Professional Wrestling Holds

I'm curious as to why you undid my minor edits. All I did was changed the format of some of the links to main articles so as opposed to being something like "Nelson Hold#Full Nelson" it would just say "Full Nelson" and the full nelson page would redirect to the proper page. Looks nicer and as far as I know isn't against Wiki guidelines so...why? casecloser (talk) 12:27, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I just thought mine looked nicer :-)casecloser (talk) 13:47, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Check it out

Would you mind checking out TNA 2008 World X Cup Tournament and see if it is wrote okay so far? I feel like it can be improved just not sure how.--WillC 01:22, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Team Mexico is in this year's. TNA has just had trouble getting the whole Team over here. So they are just not going mention them until they have them in the US.--WillC 01:33, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah I got proof on who is on the team but TNA hasn't announced anything on TV or on TNAWrestling.com so I'm not sure to place them in there. My sources are good but just not sure. WrestleView.com.--WillC 01:56, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Okay. I was told by someone else on here that it was a good source. Most of what they've said has been actuate. mainly with ppvs and iMPACT! results. I guess I can use it mainly for that. Just to ask, what about PWinsider.com?--WillC 03:19, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Okay. Well I'll only use references from the site if they are accurate after they happen. What site is the best to use for references?--WillC 03:28, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Crap. I have like 4 pages that need alot of references and since TNA doesn't make reports on matches then I have to work a little harder to find references for Lockdown (2008), Sacrifice (2008), Destination X (2008), and Slammiversary (2008). I'm pretty much okay on Victory Road (2008). I've got around 3 or 4 for the one match. Just need to put some in the background.--WillC 03:41, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Okay, thanks for the help.--WillC 21:02, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

list

I'm making a list of all my wikipedia friends. Do you mind if I add you?--WillC 00:54, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Okay, added. You maybe want to watch the Undertaker talk page. Because there has been alot of IP's trying to vandalize it.--WillC 03:32, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Okay, we might just want to get someone to block the IP because it is only one guy.--WillC 03:42, 28 June 2008 (UTC)

Because in the thread at WT:PW, there seemed to be a consensus to leave match notes in the event section, and out of the results table. -- iMatthew T.C. 00:19, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: EC

I do own the book. I just don't know where I left at. But, I promise to look for it and tell you the page where that's stated. ;) Just give me sometime. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 16:05, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi

Hey. Okay I'm kinda really, really new to the whole Wikipedia thing, so I really hope I'm doing this right. Anyway, I saw on your user page that you're an active contributer to the pro wrestling Wikiproject, and while editing a wrestling page I noticed an issue. I was editing a section on Scott Hall's page and I checked out one of the references, and I noticed that a majority of the sections on Hall's page were lifted verbatim from the source. And for several sections there was little to no mention of the source. I don't know, but should the article be re-written? I mean isn't there a difference between incorperating the source and just copy/pasting into the article? HidyHoTim (talk) 16:33, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Well it's pretty much every section really. The source had information listed in bullet form and it looks like who ever wrote the article just condensed all the bullets into a paragraph. By saying you could look at it when you have the time, I'm assuming you have a lot to do. I can re-write it (I already did one section), but after that is when I noticed what was going on and I wanted to ask someone before continuing. And also, one of the sources was listed as being the "official" Scott Hall website, but it looks more like a fan site. Does that count as reliable? Or should the sources be like PWI or something? HidyHoTim (talk) 17:10, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Okay thanks for your help =) HidyHoTim (talk) 17:24, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Matt Hardy

Does it not say you can organize by use? I do believe I saw that. In that case, the Twist of Fate should be first because he uses it the most. And please explain to me how it does fall under that category, because if you mean alphabetical, I feel in this case it is better to go by usage instead of alphabetical considering the nature of the article and list. L2K (talk) 20:51, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Wouldn't wwe.com count as a source and make it not OR? L2K (talk) 02:11, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
You know what dude, I just took a look at the list of finishing moves on his page an all the other lists, and as much as putting the scar first looks weird, I think alphabetical does look much nicer. But do you think we could somehow indicate his current finisher? And we could apply that to other articles, as well. L2K (talk) 00:49, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
