Religion

Here is my opinion of religion in general, not about any specific religion.

Religion, in summary, is imaginary. It is all make believe. People want to be controlled so they have made up some almight immortal being that reigns supreme. I get the feeling people were just scared of dying, so that they thought of this "after life" to sooth their soles. Pity it cannot be proved right or wrong until we actually die. Religion lacks any credibility whatsoever. It makes no sense. It is completely unprovable and never can be provable. It is fictious, and some people take this as fact, and waste their lives devoted to something that they are not even sure exists. Science can explain the beginning of the universe etc with evidence and proof, religion has a large following, no proof, no evidence, nothing. Religion soley relies on submission and hope. Religion brainwashes people at a young age to convince them, when they don't know any the wiser. If you told someone who new nothing about religion, "Hey, you know there is an invisible person who made eveything we have. You can't see him or hear him, but he exists in some place that has never been found." I think he would tell you to "F*** off!". It is just an unbelievable, uncredible, unrealistic myth. God is an imaginary friend, who is quite popular.

What also is irritating is the fact that people only go to religion, when they are in need. If God is so almighty, so powerful, then why do people only go to him when they are going through rough times. They should be around him all the time shouldn't they?

I just feel sorry for those who waste their lives devoting them to God and then die and rot in the ground. No after life nothing. I sure bet they would of liked to have another chance to make the most of their life.
