I dream of horses (Contribs) (Talk) 02:55, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Your submission at Articles for creation: Post-Newsweek Productions (April 27)
- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Post-Newsweek Productions and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- User:S0091 as you note some of their films are notable but the parent subject is the only place where they are noted. You can look at it as a combined article on the films, some more notable then others. Notability is also established by the involvement of very prominent actors as narrators of their films including Captain Kirk and Ethel Bunker (actors). I think it's a big mistake to leave this interesting and very notable subject stuck in draftspace. At least take it to an AfD and let's discuss it instead of letting it languish. I will be absolutely shocked if it's deleted. I'm just one editor and I'm sure more can be found on it with help from others. FloridaArmy (talk) 16:16, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- Notability is not inherited so prominent actors, narrators, etc. do not help. I did do some research on it but all I found were press releases. I will do some more digging though but its complicated because it is tied in Graham Holdings, Graham Media Group and Newsweek (if not others). I am actually wondering if it should be merged to Graham Media Group? S0091 (talk) 16:47, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- The film notability guideline specifies films that have major roles for well known stars. Already two such films and stars are noted in this subject so that definitely controbutes to notability. We don't have individual articles on the films except one, so this is where they are covered as a combined article. So when you say the films are notable but this subject isn't you are contradicting yourself. Definitely the background of Post-Newsweek needs expansion and clarification as do other aspects. The best place for that is in mainspace. I don't think a merge to the subject you noted seems appropriate User:S0091 although the subjects are clearly related. I'm not opposed to a broader entry on Post-Newsweek is that works. But again, I don't see a need to beat ourselves up trying to perfect an entry on a notable subject. Let's get it to mainspace so the community can work on it and iron out any issues. FloridaArmy (talk) 17:11, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- The article is not about a film though. Its is about a company (or a division of a company) so NCORP is the applicable notability guideline and it does not meet that guideline so would not survive AfD. I am open to other possibilities such as merging but it is not suitable for a stand-alone article and two other reviewers have come the same conclusion. Of course you are welcome to resubmit it and get another opinion. S0091 (talk) 17:21, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- You are correct that it is not about a film. It is about a bunch of films and the production company that made them User:S0091. If the films are notable can you point le to where they are covered other than the one I made? If works are notable then the creator of those works is notable whether it's an architect, author, or filmmaker. That's how it works. Why exclude what coverage we have for these subjects? Makes no sense. FloridaArmy (talk) 17:30, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- Read WP:INHERITORG. Really, that's not how it works for NCORP. The more I look at this the more I think it should be merged to Graham Media Group. It appears most (all?) of the films were produced by Post-Newsweek Productions, which prior to 1982 was a subsidiary of Post-Newsweek Stations (Graham Media) so I think a separate section about Post-Newsweek Production there make sense. 17:44, 27 April 2023 (UTC) S0091 (talk) 17:44, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- Okay. Please merge User:S0091. I don't inderstand the corporate history or organization. If you know how to fit it in there please have at it. FloridaArmy (talk) 17:47, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- I am going by the sources you provided, mainly the this one. S0091 (talk) 17:57, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- That looks like one source to me indicating a complicated corporate history but if you think you can shoehorn it into an article on another subject (a successor firm? predecessor?) have at it. As long as it doesn't continue to languish in draftspace. I've explained why it should be stand-alone until I'm blue in the face. It at least needs a proper community discussion and to see the light of day instead of being left to panguish. FloridaArmy (talk) 18:10, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- Did you mean to bold you response? I get you are frustrated/exasperated. I don't think you understand NCORP and the quality and depth of sourcing that is required. Anything from the Washington Post, while generally a fantastic source, is not independent in this instance given they owned the company. So while fine to use for some background, useless for notability. You note above, perfection is not needed and I completely agree otherwise most drafts/articles would be not accepted/pass NPP review but I am not basing this on perfection. I am basing it on the ability to pass notability/AfD. And please, accusations of me trying "shoehorn" content into another article are needless and baseless. I am providing my thoughts as to why I think it makes sense and get you disagree but you haven't stated why, based on the sources, it is inappropriate. So with all that, I also know you generally do not push back like this (at least in my interactions with you), do you still want me to accept the article and nominate it for AfD? S0091 (talk) 20:26, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

- No, I didn't mean to bold. I am fine with it being merged if you want to do that or brought to AfD so we can get community consensus. Either way let's move forward please. Thanks. User:S0091. FloridaArmy (talk) 20:35, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
- Onward and upward. My only request is in the future be a little more careful with your words. The shoehorning comment was a bit much (and the bolding didn't help but was pretty sure that was not intentional). I will look for sources first to see if there's enough to get it NCORP standards. While I looked before, it doesn't hurt to give it another shot. If you do not notice me doing anything, say in a month, bug me on my talk page because I may have forgot. My Wikipedia editing tends to be whatever is the "flavor of the day" so my attention bounces around. S0091 (talk) 20:00, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

Please
I wish you had email enabled, but I guess I'll say it in public. It is clear to me that some people are trying to bait you into making personal attacks. I can't do much about it because they're good at it and can word it in such a way that they have plausible deniability. And some have the admin cloak of invincibility. Please resist the urge to respond, even here, with any comments whatsoever about individual editors. I know it isn't fair. Any comments you make about institutional/systemic racism on Wikipedia, I think (not positive) I could help defend you from sanction if people attack you for it. But I (and anyone else so inclined) am going to be helpless if you make it personal, even if baited. --Floquenbeam (talk) 22:56, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- FA, I want to second this - I've worked with you on articles in the past and your list of Missing Pieces is a desperately needed resource for us working in the area. Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Jimbo Wales. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. —Kusma (talk) 17:26, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- You are also currently in violation of your editing restrictions to have no more than 20 active AfC submissions. You should fix this the next time you edit. —Kusma (talk) 18:10, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- I removed my submissions for Draft:Raymond A. Jetson submitted April 27. Draft:Earl M. Johnson was submitted by User:JSwift49 is n May 5. I don't think I should be penalized or threatened for another editor submitting one of my drafts, but maybe you have a different view. I believe at least one draft I submitted was started by someone else so I'm not sure if that counts. I also removed Draft:Richard Leopold Wormser submitted since March 10 in any case. FloridaArmy (talk) 18:36, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- Johnson is indeed not submitted by you, but Jetson still seems to be, so you are at 21 I think. —Kusma (talk) 18:53, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- It's no longer submitted. Draft:Raymond A. Jetson is not an entry I started and should qualify for an entry as a state legislator. FloridaArmy (talk) 18:56, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- Johnson is indeed not submitted by you, but Jetson still seems to be, so you are at 21 I think. —Kusma (talk) 18:53, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Kusma I have kept an eye on FloridaArmy's submissions, first to review some but also in case a friendly reminder was needed and to my knowledge, they have not violated it since their last block. It does bring up a good question of if they submit a draft they did not create, should it really count but FloridaArmy, you would need to take that to ANI. I think it is a valid question and I also think revisiting the restriction is valid (i.e. should it really be 20 max pending, do the reasons for the original restrictions still exists and if so, what steps to have them lifted entirely, etc.). S0091 (talk) 20:02, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- @S0091, my working interpretation is "20 drafts submitted by FloridaArmy, no matter who created them", which in particular allows arbitrary numbers of drafts created by FloridaArmy to be submitted by others. The relevant ANI discussion explicitly said "FloridaArmy may be sanctioned for violating their restriction should they have 21 pending submissions at AfC at any time". FloridaArmy, if you require clarification of the rules (or if you wish to appeal the restriction), as S0091 said, WP:ANI is the place to go. —Kusma (talk) 21:01, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Kusma thanks for the link. I agree with your interpretation as it does state "AfC requests" and submitting a draft regardless of the creator is a "request" for a review, whether that was the intention or not of the close. S0091 (talk) 21:41, 10 May 2023 (UTC)

Tampa Stadium / Raymond James Stadium
Didn't mean to step on your toes by reverting your recent edits to Tampa Stadium and Raymond James Stadium, but the info you added about Ray Jay replacing the Ol' Sombrero was already in the introduction of both articles, either a little before or a little after where you re-added it. - Liz is there enough in the draft for a refund? Feb 1887 Andrew Kinney and Mahala Miller are fined $500 each, during the appeal Virginia passes a new Law and Edmund Kinney and Mary Hall serve all of five years at hard labor. Maybe Ex parte Kinney or a section in Anti-miscegenation laws in the United States before Pace v. Alabama? Peter Wallenstein's law review article or book if sourcing was a concern. fiveby(zero) 05:14, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

- Yes, well, it was definitely not my intention to create it and work on it in mainspace, and I have moved it. It's notable and missing. In fact there appear to be more than one so named area in Venezuela? I think it's problematic that El Piñal doesn't point to any of them and fails to note their existence. FloridaArmy (talk) 02:07, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- I apologize, I misunderstood when the article had been created due to an error on my part when going through new pages (I thought it was a much older article). I've retracted my nomination for deletion, and I appreciate the work you're putting in to fill these gaps! Nerd1a4i (they/them) (talk) 18:27, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- No worries User:Nerd1a4i. I didn't mean to create it in mainspace and needed to move it to draftspace anyway. Maybe a note instead of a nom next
