There is a somewhat droll reason for me not noticing the whole article has already been tagged but it's definitely no excuse. Thanks for the revert. -The Gnome (talk) 17:36, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

The article Blink (2022 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Lacks notability for a standalone article based on a short film that premiered on Youtube. When doing a simple Google search ([1]), only one reliable source mentions the film. As such, it lacks notability guidelines.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Callmemirela 🍁 talk 18:53, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
Mixed reviews
You edited an article to say the reviews were "mixed-to-positive"[2] Your edits seem to care about standards and quality and are a prolific editor so I found it surprising that it was you who did it (not some random anonymous editor). Please, see the past discussions if you have not already: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Film/Archive_48#Mixed_to_positive_%2F_Mixed_to_negative
I believe we should try to be clear and direct when writing for an encyclopedia (there may already be a policy somewhere saying this too, but I don't know all the rules from memory) and I think it is better to avoid vague unnecessary equivocation so I recommend picking only one of from those two, either mixed or positive, not both. I generally go with whatever Metacritic says, but you can just as easily go with Rotten Tomatoes and argue that the extra WP:WEIGHT of reviews is enough to say reviews were generally positive. Either way, please don't try to have both at the same time, just pick one. -- 109.79.177.125 (talk) 01:45, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
Nomination of Blink (2022 film) for deletion
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Blink (2022 film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. I realized this morning I meant to PROD the article instead, so please disregard my last edits.

Better Call Saul
Season 6 is not a two-part season. I understand that the episodes have a short break mid-season, but that is common with almost all network television series - it does not make it a split season. Every Walking Dead season would be considered a two part season if that were the case. The season was all filmed in one go, and there is nothing in the contracts of the cast to indicate it is a split season. Jericho735 (talk) 21:06, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Jericho735: Reliable sources have already confirmed that it is two parts. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:36, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Some Dude From North Carolina: Do you not see the difference between this show's final season and the final seasons of Breaking Bad, Mad Men, or The Sopranos? The network chose to air episode 8 a month and a half after episode 7, but the season was not produced in two parts (nor was it announced that it will be released on home media in two parts). It's mid-season break is shorter than the mid-season break of every Walking Dead season; it's shorter than the midseason break nearly all network shows routinely have during their seasons (like Jericho, for example). Jericho735 (talk)
- @Jericho735: It doesn't matter. Two parts, two awards seasons is what AMC has confirmed. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:07, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Some Dude From North Carolina: You might not think it matters - but it does. Why is the final season of The Walking Dead, which has two mid-season breaks (and is eligible for multiple award seasons), not a "3-part" season? There is a difference between having a mid-season break, and being a two-parter like Breaking Bads final season. It is not the same. Jericho735 (talk) 23:17, 5 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Jericho735: You might want to discuss this with others so you don't get the same response. AMC made it clear that this is a two-parter. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:22, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

Hello Some Dude,
Wouldn't you agree that the draft article mentioned above now passes WP:NFF and should be moved to article mainspace? The Film Creator (talk) 22:29, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- I think so but I would wait a few months. Most sources are just casting announcements and filming began last month so we won't hear about its release until late 2022 or 2023. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:40, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
Why did you undo edits?
Hi - I do not know how else to contact you. You have just undone an edit I did on a television series despite the edit being appropriately cited - there is nothing untrue in what has been added, and it all has a citation. I am merely clarifying the development history of the show. What is the specific concern with the relatively minor edits and with actually clarifying the background of the show? The Screen Chronicler (talk) 00:10, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- The Manual of Style on Wikipedia is generally against additions to the article that sound like advertisements. Here's your edit:
- Before: "The Lincoln Lawyer is an upcoming American legal drama streaming television series created and executive produced by David E. Kelley, based on the 2008 novel The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly."
- After: "The Lincoln Lawyer is an upcoming American legal drama streaming television series created for television by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey, based on the series of bestselling novels by Michael Connelly. The initial season is based on Connelly's 2008 novel The Brass Verdict."
- "Based on the series of bestselling novels" is what I had to revert. Your addition of two sources was also unnecessary since the information was already cited elsewhere, so I reverted that too. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:19, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, happy to lose the word "bestselling." There are two key pieces of information here which are not cited elsewhere, however. One is that the series is based on the entire series of novels. As the Deadline article indicates, only the "freshman season" (the words used in the Deadline article) is based on THE BRASS VERDICT. Yes, it is true that as of now there is only that one season, but as that article and numerous others indicate, the series is meant to be based on the entire series of novels. The other piece of information is that in addition to being created by David E. Kelley, the series was developed by Ted Humphrey. That again is cited in the Deadline article and in other articles. The "developed by" credit is the functional equivalent of the "created by" credit - just different verbiage. The Screen Chronicler (talk) 00:27, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- The article clearly states that the series is "based on the 2008 novel The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly." We can't say "initial season" until Netflix confirms the show's renewal since that would violate a guideline known as WP:CRYSTALBALL. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:28, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- I understand that one early article states this. More recent articles clearly state that the series is based on the entire season of books, and the initial season only is based on THE BRASS VERDICT. This feels like semantics. It is not a violation of WP:CrystalBall to say that the initial season will be based on The Brass Verdict and any subsequent seasons will be based on other books in the series. Here are a few recent articles which all use this language - if these had been published initially you would presumably have cited it this way.
- https://www.tvinsider.com/gallery/the-lincoln-lawyer-manuel-garcia-rulfo-premiere-date-photos-netflix/ The Screen Chronicler (talk) 00:34, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- Though Deadline says that only "Season 1 is based on the second book The Brass Verdict," we can't say that because Netflix hasn't confirmed that there will be season 2. If there's no season 2, then we'd be lying to the reader by saying "initial season". Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:37, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- And the "Developed by" credit? Which is a WGA credit, used for one something is created based on pre-existing material (such as a series of books). The Screen Chronicler (talk) 00:45, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, that can be added back. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:49, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. The Screen Chronicler (talk) 00:50, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Change Settings to and Protect the Mario Movie Indefinitely (No Date Selected)
Just so you know, there's some additions of unsourced content to the page. It's still hapening, and I know it is. This is why protecting the page until the film's release date is a bad idea, and someone added the gross (which it hasn't been revealed yet). I hope this works better than protecting it until the film's release, because I know there might be spoilers if they do. Either way, you’re shitlisting pictures I spent hours uploading and have stayed there until you decided to try and delete them. No one is being hurt by having the pictures stay there; you can keep saying removing the picture “doesn’t detract from the article’s understanding” but at the end of the day you’re removing a graphic from an episode article on one of the greatest television shows of all time. All it boils down to is removing useful visual information. I don’t care whatever snobby Wikipedia policy you throw at me, try to think like an actual person instead of an internet nerd who doesn’t go outside. LJF2019 talk 01:34, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Um... I'd like to return to editing articles like normal. The block was for moving my talk page so I'll stop with the user page moving. But for contributions, just the normal kind. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:45, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
@Fastily, Tamzin, and 331dot: I don't know what I'm missing but from where I am this looks like an incredibly abrupt and premature block. As far as I can tell he was trying to separate the history of his user page and forgot to uncheck "Move associated talk page". Even most vandals get more warnings before they're blocked, and we're talking about a prolific content contributor with a dozen GAs in his portfolio. (Was move-protecting this page not an option?) If there indeed was an egregious transgression deserving an instant block, an explanation would help. I think an explanation from you, SDFNC, of what you were trying to do would help your unblock request too. Nardog (talk) 00:13, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- I thought that since every comment left on my talk page had been archived that I would be allowed to delete my talk page, kinda like a "refresher" since it has, I think, over 1000 edits in the history. Guess that's not allowed so I'll stop. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:53, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's not allowed because if it was then the archived comments would have no public records of them having been actually made, making them vulnerable to tampering. Still far from a blockable offense IMO, though. Where are the "warnings" Fastily refers to in the block rationale? All I can find are Explicit's summaries. No "Here's the reason you can't do that", "What are you trying to achieve by that?", or "Stop it or you'll be blocked." Nardog (talk) 01:32, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- If you want your talkpage to have a clear history, a legitimate way to do that would be to move and archive it. i.e stop letting the archive bot handle this, wait till this page has become big and then move it to User talk:Some Dude From North Carolina/Archive 6. Many people archive their talkpage this way. ಮಲ್ನಾಡಾಚ್ ಕೊಂಕ್ಣೊ (talk) 11:05, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll keep this in mind. Thank you. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 12:35, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- I have no opinion on the block itself, but Some Dude From North Carolina was well aware that deleting his user talk page was not appropriate and moving its history to a subpage to get it deleted was gaming the system. I made that clear the first two times I declined his speedy deletion requests. He simply waited two weeks for another attempt in hopes that that it fell in the hands of another administrator. These actions are clearly an abuse of process.
- I should note that I ran into a similar issue with this user on Draft:Black and Blue (Better Call Saul) (see page history) and the followup message indicates that SDFNC either doesn't understand the application of G7 or refuses to abide by policy. ✗plicit 03:56, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Explicit: perhaps some duration of ban from making G7/U1 requests? Gives SDFNC some time to ruminate on what they did wrong here, without totally cutting off the access of an otherwise-quality contributor. A more narrowly-tailored solution, as a start (since we're already well past a warning, it seems). theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 05:59, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

Discussion about Better Call Saul
@Masem: @Some Dude From North Carolina:
First, in general terms, I don't think it's reasonable for you two specifically to act unilaterally to revert all changes made by others - in this case, me. I don't want any quoting of the rules back to me, either. I don't have a problem with Wikipedia requirements like relevance or brevity - I have a problem when one user apparently acts like only he gets to decide what qualifies.
Second, I believe I've been reasonable. For example, in the 200 word plot summaries on the Season 6 page, I think there's nothing wrong with including the flash forwards. One of you does. I think that's wrong, really wrong, but I haven't continued to argue, because I get that this is supposed to be a collaborative site and different people can see things in different ways.
Third, specifically to "Black and Blue" - my view is that the relevant point isn't that "the two part ways". That tells the reader nothing about how the plot advances. What matters for advancing the plot is that Lalo wants to get into the house, but doesn't receive an invitation, even though he's clearly angling for one, so he has to break in the next day. It's the need for entry and the subsequent break in that move the narrative forward, not the "the two parting ways". That's why I think my version is the more accurate one in this case. I'm willing to discuss that point, but as of now I just don't see a "parting" without context as being particularly useful to summarizing the episode.
I'd love to find a way to resolve this without stepping on each other. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
Billmckern (talk) 21:51, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- Just leave it as it is. They talked. Lalo left. She went to work. He broke into her house and saw the sculpture. That's it. Just keep it short. Might have been better to start the discussion at Talk:Black and Blue (Better Call Saul). Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:56, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Lincoln Lawyer
It's relevant because it answers a reader's natural question, "Why does the TV show have a different name than the book?" But perhaps the flow is bad. I don't have time to revisit it today, but I may another time. Dan Bloch (talk) 02:40, 29 May 2022 (UTC)

File rename
Hello, I declined your request for File:Don't Worry Darling (teaser poster).png to be renamed. This was because you listed WP:FNC#6 for the rationale. You should list at least 1 other related file that the new file will harmonize with, so that the move can be completed. If you have a file, then you can reopen the request or ping me and I can complete it. Thanks, Terasail[✉️] 13:23, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- Terasail That file will most likely be used to update the image when a new, final poster is released, so the word "teaser" will become unnecessary in the near future. Which policy should be used to remove it? A person in Georgia (talk) 14:43, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- If the file is updated then WP:FNC#3 would probably apply however a file shouldn't really be overwritten with a new file which does not meet the current title. In these cases it is best to uploaded a new file with the correct title instead. At the moment no FNC applies to the file that I can see. Thanks, Terasail[✉️] 14:59, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Kim's reaction
Hi! I just wanted to talk about the edit we keep going back and forth on, whether Kim's reaction is important in the opening scene. I believe strongly that it is an important inclusion, since it reflects the disparate ways in which Jimmy and Kim are reacting and how they process grief, and is important to understand the text and the actions she proceeds to take. The word count for the summary is 345 at the moment, so that is not an issue. Please let me know why you continually are refusing this inclusion! Wasianpower (talk) 15:55, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Wasianpower: "does not react". Ok, why is this important to note? Jimmy is telling something to her, and she is listening and thinking without a facial reaction. Is there a reaction to be had? We can't speculate. What's important is Jimmy telling her that they'll forget. So, I don't think it's necessary, since it doesn't exactly show "how they process grief". Her talk to Cheryl and her departue from law do. A person in Georgia (talk) 15:59, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hm, I just disagree I guess. The current wording implies to me that a) she is listening, and b) she may even accept what Jimmy is saying, when the show itself leaves the first ambiguous and the second is clearly negative. Hence why I think her reaction is important to note. If her reaction was to accept what Jimmy was saying, that would be equally important to note because how how invested this episode's story is in Kim's internal thoughts.
- I agree in general that each character's reaction to every scene is not necessary or an improvement, but for this specific scene I think it's a necessary inclusion. Wasianpower (talk) 16:08, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
