Stop with the smarmy edit summaries.

This is not civil or productive, it's just needless snide. Stop using your edit summaries like this. Rusted AutoParts 22:27, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

@Rusted AutoParts: please, please follow the guidelines set by the Manual of Style. It actually might take two seconds to follow MOS:CONFORMTITLE, MOS:CURLY, and other rules that improve how Wikipedia looks. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:55, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
I do my best with that, and it's fair to highlight the guidelines need meeting, but how does "two seconds" convey that? Rusted AutoParts 22:56, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Why did you revert my edit?

Hi there,

I don’t know exactly how this works, but I made an edit to the Yellowjackets TV show, and you reverted it here saying it is unnecessary: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Yellowjackets_%28TV_series%29&type=revision&diff=1066331849&oldid=1066331771

While I understand it may not be strictly necessary, every other TV show on Wikipedia includes the name tag in the Infobox television section so I would appreciate it if you could take a look and then consider adding it back.

@74.71.49.74: If the article's title matches the PAGENAMEBASE, then the title is added automatically to the infobox. The parameter has been deemed unnecessary. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:07, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

Some Dude From North Carolina, you opened this review on December 21, but haven't returned to do the actual review after four weeks. Do you still plan to do the review? If you don't, or won't be able to get to it for some time, if you withdraw it's likely to be picked up by another reviewer before the end of the month, since there's a backlog drive this month and this nomination would qualify as an "old" nomination, eligible for a half-point bonus. Please let me know. Alternatively, if you wish to withdraw, you can request the review page be speedy deleted (G7). Thank you very much, however you decide to proceed. DYK for Cry Macho (film)

On 20 January 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Cry Macho (film), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the lead role in the 2021 film Cry Macho was first offered to Clint Eastwood in 1988? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Cry Macho (film). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Cry Macho (film)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Notice

The article Revenge Prank has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The show is covered by a few sources, but they do not prove to be notable. This reality series can be redirected or deleted, since it fails the guidelines set at MOS:TV and WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

The Woman King

Hi. I see you reverted the changes I made to THE WOMAN KING (Movie) page. I work for Sony Pictures Music Business & Legal Affairs. The composer is incorrectly listed. Terence Blanchard composed the score. Lebo M. wrote several songs (not five).

Please advise what is needed for this change to be made.

Thank you so much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dustcastle (talkcontribs) 18:41, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

@Dustcastle: Wikipedia can only add information based on existing sources. An interview with Lebo M. said he composed the score and made five original songs. If Terence Blanchard composed the score, you need to add a reliable source to verify your claim. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 18:43, 4 February 2022 (UTC)

"Scream 6" is not the official title. There is no reason to assume that they will return to numbered entries after the 2022 film, many publications are simply using the name "Scream 6" as a placeholder name, there is no reason to assume it will actually be released under that title.★Trekker (talk) 11:51, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

Harmonize names of a set

I noticed you request quite some renames with the rationale "Harmonize file names of a set of images". This rarely applies to fair use images, so I'm confused as to what set they are a part of. I granted moving File:The Batman film poster.jpg because it was ambiguous (is it "The Batman Film" or "film poster"? does "the" belong to "Batman", "film" or "poster"?) but I don't see the set. And Category:Non-free posters is not a set. Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 21:01, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

@Alexis Jazz: Which rationale would you recommend I use? I noticed several users changing the names for film posters to "Article title poster". Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:35, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
Per WP:FMNN, none. (unless there's another possible rationale) "Article title poster" isn't a standardized format either because there is no standardized format. Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 23:19, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

Guidance requested

Hello!
We have not interacted before but I wanted to stop by and kindly ask for your guidance because I've noticed your work in the film and television area on Wikipedia and really appreciate your efforts in that space here. In particular, I have noticed your contributions in what I sort of describe as the "Odenkirk universe," namely the Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad space. I'm definitely not an Odenkirk expert or FLC connoisseur and given your expertise and experience working with Bob Odenkirk and his characters, as well as writing featured content, I wanted to seek out some guidance from you regarding a list of Odenkirk that I rewrote. The list of his awards and nominations can be found here, in my sandbox, as I haven't carried it over to the mainspace yet. I started it in May 2021 but haven't gotten around to really pushing it over the finish line and wanted to receive some feedback before sending it out into the world, if you will. Would you be able to give it a look over and provide me with any feedback you might have on the prose as well as the structure and accessibility of the table? I really appreciate your time and thank you in advance. Tunestoons (talk) 01:02, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

@Tunestoons: Hi! I have done some minor touch-ups to your sandbox as requested. The only issue I see is the nominee count. The infobox says 60 nominations but I only see 45. When that's cleared up, I'd say this article is in great condition to go into mainspace. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:23, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. I really appreciate the work you did, especially with those details I missed. I'll address your question about the 45/60 thing: I took a look at some lists and they apparently indicated the total number of awards on the list itself as "nominations." For example, List of awards and nominations received by Imelda Staunton includes "65 nominations", which includes the number of wins she also notched. Please do let me know what you think of that.
I do have a few more questions now that you've taken a look at my list, and I'd be happy to get a few thoughts from you about them. I've been scanning a lot of lists and feel like my notes section is one of the largest among this type of list (awards/noms for an actor). I'm a bit weary of how extensive my "notes" section is, and I know I cannot really help that because each year's nomination for an ensemble-related award tends to have a long group of nominated individuals, but I'm afraid some might say it's still too much, or something along those lines. I'm not sure if there's anything that should be done there, but I did want to preempt any possible comments and I just wanted to know if you thought anything weird about that at first glance. Additionally, do you think my list has some potential to reach featured list status? If so, and I bring it to the nominations page, would you accept that I name you as someone who has helped give me feedback? Thanks again for all of your help.Tunestoons (talk) 04:56, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
@Tunestoons: Sorry about bringing that point up. I completely forgot about including the wins. About the notes, they are perfectly fine. @RunningTiger123 has made some great Featured Lists with extensive/informative notes, (example one and example two). For the last question, yes, your list can become a featured list and you should nominate it though credit is not necessary because it was my pleasure to help. Wikipedia is about facts right? Not about the level of credits.

This project was developed at Ventaro Film, all the Information I’ve typed in where true and based on facts! Ventaro Film is co-production. I think you can see that there are some information out there to make sure that this is not total Bullshit right? Also you can find for example the last post of raimiproductions on Instagram and swipe through the deadline article, you’ll find this information.

So why would you want to hide that information from the public? What’s behind this?

We will claim to correct that with the online magazines and portals aswell. Sadly We have to do that, because people would not tell the full truth out there themselves. We can’t let that happen. And we well not stop until it’s done.
