Just wanted to show my support for your tireless contributions to hndis-cleanup, for both you and your alter-ego. The recent criticism is completely unjustified, I have always found your edits to follow WP:MOSDAB scrupulously. Editorial differences will always occur but this should never have gone beyond the pages concerned or your talk page. Keep up the good work! Tassedethe (talk) 08:30, 30 September 2008 (UTC) |

About your message of Exit (cupcakKe song)
[edit]sorry but I don't know how else to make a page on Wikipedia without it being a draft, don't delete the pages though until I find a way to get the on a seperate page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jusipher (talk • contribs) 06:36, 17 January 2018 (UTC) Hi, Jusipher. The way you created it was fine, it's just that the topic doesn't seem to meet the relevant notability guidelines, WP:NSONG and WP:GNG. It's redirected, so if you have evidence it meets the criteria - for instance charting in a major chart, multiple reviews in good publications - then it can be undone at the click of a button and be a standalone article again. You can continue to work on it at User:Jusipher/sandbox or Draft:Exit (cupcakKe song) also. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 07:05, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

Nomination of Robyn Maby for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Robyn Maby is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robyn Maby until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Joeykai (talk) 22:11, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
I did give some thought to create-protection when I closed that AFD, but he does seem to be close to the border with regards to notability. On the wrong side at present, but it's possible foreign-language sources might tip the balance in future, so I don't want to make it impossible for a different editor to put something up if notability is ever properly established.
But hey, I'm just one guy - if you want to put it up at WP:RPP for salting I won't object! Yunshui 雲水 14:32, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

1995–96 FC Basel season
[edit]Hallo Boleyn, please do not start an editor war. The Basel team squad is at 1995–96 Joggeli.ch, their results (cup and league) and league tables can be seen at 1995–96 RSSSF, every single game is summarised at Joggeli.ch and futher infos are at fussballstarbasel.ch. The Intertoto Cup is referenced within that article with linguasport (and therefore, is not needed on this page). Further information can be found on FC Basel official site. What more do you want? What else can I put in? I thank you in advance for your positve input. Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 21:53, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for your message, Huligan0. I added an inline tag as when looking at the references/sources section, it lists several sources but they are not inline, except one. It has sources, which is great, but it is very difficult to see which source backs up which piece of information. Are you confused by what I meant by inline? Please see WP:INLINECITE. Please let me know if I can help you further. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 06:47, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hallo Boleyn, no, I know what is meant, but others don't. I've been writing similar articles here for years, over 60 FC Basel seasons. But I don't agree to the use of such tags. An author spends weeks, hours and hours on end, gathering the info, reading books, searching for inline infos. You're not going to find many inline citations for a football match that was played 20, 50 or 80 years ago. An author spends weeks writing, adding wikilinks, linking sources and references, formating tables. Hurray :-) Finished. Put it on line and within hours somebody adds a tag This article includes a list of references, but its sources remain unclear or then This article needs additional citations for verification or even This article is a Stub or even better, all three at the same time. I know the article is only going to get read five or ten times a month, but if these tags are at the beginning, nobody is going to read it at all. I think that this sort of tag should be on the talk page (perhaps within the references/sources section) but not at the beginning of the article. I don't mean just your tag, but also many, many others. I don't find that these tags are motivating or inspiring, that they are encouaging or helpful. I think that such tags dis-encourage authors and editors. I need positve input, but I'm going to carry on writing anyway. Greetings from Switzerland --Huligan0 (talk) 20:51, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry: but can these tags be added to the talk page? Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 21:14, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, Huligan0, no, they go on the article, so anyone can see the issue and improve it. I think you're overestimating how difficult it is to inline cite. You just add your paragraph of information, then at the end of it write what your source was - same for the next block of information you add. It would only take about two mins before. Without it, it's really unclear what information is verified and what is unverified. Thanks for your hard work on articles. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 21:31, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry: but can these tags be added to the talk page? Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 21:14, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

Early members of parliament
[edit]I have noticed the new page John Penkestone. You say in the lead that he "was an English politician". Please bear in mind that almost none of these early members of parliament was that. Being a member of the House of Commons of England in the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries was a short-term commitment for a few days or weeks of the year, with a new election held every time a parliament was summoned, and not in itself a career. This man is reported as one of the members for Southampton in 1386, 1394, and 1406, so he was a rather occasional member of parliament, and there is no sign at all that he was a politician, a concept which did not really exist at that time.
The same comment applies to page names. To include the word politician (or the letters MP) in a page name before the 18th century is usually misleading, as most of these men had some other main occupation or status, such as barrister, merchant, courtier, which defines them far better. Moonraker (talk) 04:09, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
Thank you, Moonraker, I will bear this in mind and adjust my template. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 13:58, 28 January 2018 (UTC)

- update Ian Allison (disambiguation) in preparation for move to Ian Allison - done
- modify the template {{Footer 1936 Olympic Silver Medalists Basketball Men}} - done

A new user still not following the guidelines
[edit]Hello Boleyn, this user's still creating reams of messy new articles (lead sections with no context, half-done or wrong dates both inline and in-reference, half-empty tables, no reference sections, etc.) such as 1920 Tour of Flanders, and is continuing to ignore the ones you've already asked them to fix. Your draft article, Draft:Boyar Debbarma
[edit]Hello, Boleyn. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Boyar Debbarma".

== Proposed deletion of Bek (family) ==
The article Bek (family) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Re: sources (Valentina Bergamaschi bio)
[edit]Ok, I know, the sources are all in the it.wiki article, so because but since I find it rather difficult to write in English rather than read it, I limited myself to creating a definitely encyclopedic bio stub (it is for us in it.wiki that we are much more restrictive than you in en.wiki ...). As you probably understand I'll write you these two lines with the help of Saint Google Translator while I'm continuing to fix the hundreds of rumors about women's football in my native language. In conclusion, I try to import some source in Italian, hoping that for you in en.wiki are sufficient, because I would be sorry to be put in obliteration due to lack of sources even if I can not pretend that you can do it (being admin in it. wiki I know how things work). Sorry again for the use of the translator or I would have spent much more time writing this message. Ciao :-) --Threecharlie (talk) 09:24, 3 March 2018 (UTC)
- I forgot, if you go in the entry it.wiki of Bergamaschi you will notice that in it.wiki for a while 'we have implemented a semi-automatic system that imports wikidata external links, if you could promote this practice in en.wiki many bio they would be automatically enriched at least by giving a little more authoritativeness and reassuring the patrollers about its verifiability. Thanks again for your patience.--Threecharlie (talk) 09:31, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Nick Rokk 96, I hope you're well. I'm not an admin so can't help you personally, but I've looked it over, and I would suggest you ask for it to be protected at WP:RPP. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 20:01, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]I am grateful for your kind post at my WP:AN#Topic ban appeal. Your words of support for my return to editing dabs are much appreciated. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 01:43, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

WP:Communication?
[edit]Hi i don't understand what does this message mean. Can you please explain it? What messages should i reply? Is List of libraries only problem?
Please be aware that WP:Communication is required on WIkipedia. Please respond to my previous messages. You may also want to see WP:SourceList, WP:BURDEN and WP:V. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:44, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
Can you please respond? By refusing to communicate with an editor raising a concern, you are risking a block. Boleyn (talk) 09:04, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
Best regards. --Rt788 (talk) 05:46, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
If you look at your talk page, you will see I have sent you four messages; thanks for finally responding. See User talk:Rt788#Ways to improve List of libraries in Azerbaijan and User talk:Rt788#Sources and communication. Yes, they are about a library list - just read them over. You do have other articles, like Stone Chronicle Museum, where other editors have raised concerns about your referencing, but I have just contacted you about the list I linked to in my message, List of libraries in Azerbaijan. Please add your sources. Boleyn (talk) 06:14, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]Thanks for all your great review work. You appear on my watchlist pretty much every day and I'd never taken the opportunity to say thanks :) Dr. Vogel (talk) 17:23, 11 March 2018 (UTC):Thanks, DrVogel, I really appreciate you taking the time to send me this message. Your work is much valued too. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 06:18, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
Hi Boleyn, Please check the reference and remove the notice. Thank you for your reminder. Goodtiming8871 (talk) 08:44, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. You are able to remove a prod yourself, and an unref tag, but I've now removed them. Thanks for finishing the article off. Boleyn (talk) 14:54, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
New page review requested
[edit]Hi am requesting if you could review Mulenga Kapwepwe for me. Thank you Chabota Kanguya (talk) 07:58, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
- This isn't the type of page I tend to patrol, but don't worry, the backlog's not too bad at the moment. Boleyn (talk) 14:55, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Hi Boleyn!
[edit]You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 14:55, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Your message on my talk page about ways to improve the article Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Hardoi
[edit]Hi, Boleyn. I'm Aniruddha Mishra .123. I have already given the reference. I didn't understand the notability issue. Can you tell me about it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aniruddha Mishra .123 (talk • contribs) 14:46, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, Aniruddha Mishra .123, thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Pages should usually have reliable sources independent of the subject - the one source it has is not independent of the subject, but thanks for now adding it. For a school to be notable, it should meet WP:GNG - so several reliable sources independent of the subject. I wasn't able to find them, but perhaps you or others can. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 14:58, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
NPL pages
[edit]Boleyn, I think maybe we should the delete the season pages of the NPL, because maybe it will take too long to to make them all and for other reasons.
FastCube (talk) 06:07, 14 March 2018 (UTC)FastCube
- Hi FastCube, I wouldn't worry about whether it would take a long time to make them all, there's no deadline. I've created thousands of articles on English MPs, but there are many thousands more waiting, redlinked for now. They'll get done eventually. If you don't think they meet WP:NSEASONS then it's worth tagging them for deletion but otherwise they just need to have it in the article which source you got your information from. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:03, 14 March 2018 (UTC)
How to improve page references
[edit]Hello there. May I have some tips to improve the pages I have created. Thanks.
- Hello, Qifahs17. The way you've added sources to 2018 Terengganu F.C. II season is absolutely fine. Please just do that for the other pages I sent you messages about. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 08:19, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
categories
[edit]How can I add categories to River Eresma? There is no option under insert!! 2Joules (talk) 08:22, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Hi, 2Joules. I went to edit and typed two into the bottom of the article. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 08:27, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
Story of Lee Hee-beom.

Your message to List of awards and nominations received by Peter Gabriel
[edit]First, I put the content which was from the Peter Gabriel article before. Second, if you click on the links, for example the nomination for British Album you find the information in the wikipedia article behind. Third, I put the Grammy, AMA, Brits, MTV Video Music Awards, Oscar, Golden Globe sources as External Links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Schorsch.landmann (talk • contribs) 16:02, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

NBA season transactions
[edit]I do not know how to make the tables of other transactions because it is complicated. (talk) 20:24, 17 March 2018 (UTC)
- Kev519, I don't understand your message, I contacted you about references and communication, not tables. Please comment at the ANI. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 20:26, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

[edit]I'm created page:Fulin Station, and I add external links in this page.I'm so sorry I doesn't send a message to you in few day.Thank you. Szabiao (talk) 05:05, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, Szabiao. It has 'external links' which means 'suggestions for further reading' but it doesn't say what your sources were. Are they the same? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 11:00, 18 March 2018 (UTC)

23 March, 2018
[edit]Hi, thank you for reviewing my 2018 New York Cosmos season article. Now I just need to know what that means lol. Does that mean it now has protection against being deleted? If so, thank you again! lol
User:Tychu9 (talk) 22:04 23 March 2018(UTC)
- Hi Tychu9. It means it is accepted in the mainspace and can be indexed by Google. It doesn't mean that an article can't be later judged not to meet WP:NSEASON or WP:GNG, but it means I didn't see any major issues with it being in Wikipedia. Thanks for creating it, Boleyn (talk) 07:08, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
Re: Sources
[edit]Hi, about your message on my talk page, I haven't put anything that needs sources. The current season is about to end, and mathematically, only 5 teams are sure to be in the next season's Ligue 1 (1st League of Tunisia). When I add other information (for example the date on which the season will begin) I will put sources, just like I did for all the articles I created :)
Thank you :)
Alexsd27 (talk) 00:51, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
- Alexsd27, all articles need to be sourced and thus has lots of information which is unverified. It details which teams have already qualified, that this is the 93rd season, stadium capacity for those who have already qualified and other facts. Where did you get all that information from? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 07:11, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
- Boleyn, 93rd season, source : http://www.rsssf.com/tablest/tunchamp.html and I put the stadium capacity, and since I am from Tunisia, there is a lot I know about football here, but I'll try to add reliable sources. Cheers. Alexsd27 (talk) 21:42, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
The article Claire Maytham has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

your 4 basketball articles
[edit]I don't think they should be deleted, so I've tried to expand them a little bit and also added some references. If they get taken to AfD I'll be happy to contribute my opinion. Dr. Vogel (talk) 23:24, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

Recreated, no improvement in sources at all or writing; just letting you know just in case my G4 is declined (the creation note calls us 'small-minded' for the deletion and unironically uses the term 'making new dialogues'). Nate • (chatter) 19:28, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

New Page Review Newsletter No.10
[edit]ACTRIAL:
- ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.
Paid editing
- Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.
Subject-specific notability guidelines
- The box at the right contains each of the subject-specific notability guidelines, please review any that are relevant BEFORE nominating an article for deletion.
- Reviewers are requested to familiarise themselves with the new version of the notability guidelines for organisations and companies. A further discussion is currently taking place at: Can a subject specific guideline invalidate the General Notability Guideline?
Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled
- While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.
News
- The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the The Signpost's editorial team for the next issue.
