Block

[edit]
Blocked
You have been blocked for vandalism for 48 hours. To contest this block, add the text {{unblock|your reason here}} on this page, replacing your reason here with an explanation of why you believe this block to be unjustified. You can also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list. Please be sure to include your username (if you have one) and IP address in your email.

If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia after the block has expired, you will be blocked for longer and longer periods of time.  Anthony.bradbury"talk" 21:43, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that deleting warnings does not remove them, and adding spurious block notices is also easily detectable and is regarded as vandalism. Awarding yourself barnstars is allowed, but is essentially without value. When your block expires please either edit responsibly or not at all. --Anthony.bradbury[[User

Request reason:

I dont mind being blocked in some cases. But I think my edits were not that bad. If you look at them they get progressively better. Sure i put a block tag on user pages that were vandalizing and thats not my job to do so, but i also put it on my page as well (more of an edit test there). After recieveing only one warning I began to do better edits. I think this is nothing more than biting me as a new comer, spreading joy and happiness shouldnt be stopped should it? Boy I feel unloved by anthoney he/she could have at least made better encouragment on how to better edit not just ban me right away out the door. Am i not suppose to reward people out of good nature? what am i to do?

Decline reason:

Adding false block notices and barnstars to dozens of user talk pages for no discernible reason is disruptive. Once your block expires, please do something useful. —  Sandstein  21:15, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

two block notices to users who were doing vandalism who likely will never use wikiepedia again isnt that bad, especially considering thats how i thought it worked. Spreading happy barnstars of joy to other users is not a form a vandalism. Its easy to search templates for them on wikipedia and discover them, as far as i can see here you guys are just biting new comers, you wonder why people vandalize, this is exactly why people get upset with wikipedia, you try to do something nice fight vandalism and give awards and two admins take offence to that, look at my edits they were improving as I went, and Im at least making an effort to contest this, which is more than i can say about other people who get blocked. All Im saying is lighten up a bit and give some new comers a break instead of biting them all the time, obviously it happens a lot cause theres a whole page for it.

Decline reason:

You don't seem to understand why there was a problem with the block notices or the random barnstars; if you don't understand why your edits were problems, you'd probably make similar edits if unblocked. 48 hours is a very short block, though, and you'll be welcome to edit again when your block ends. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:43, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dont you guys have some sort of random acts of kindness committee on wikipedia that promotes random barnstars, again, two block notices to peoples pages who were actually vandalizing with vulagr langauge which was viewed as offensive, how can you get angry if i didnt know the procedure on how to handle vandals right. I see very clearly as to what type of contributions you guys are seeking, but seriously why bite a new comer in such a way? have any of you admins here actually offered to help me in ways that would make my edits constructive?, At least im making an effort here to chat about this, all of my edits have been improving since i was warned once, and then i recieve a block, that to me is biting a newcomer.

Decline reason:

Aside from the block notices and random barnstars, adding completely unrelated images to random articles was certainly vandalism. —Travistalk 22:44, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|To travis tx, I only recieved one warning only for that and i stopped when i did. to him and the rest above: Again none of you actually read what i type or look at my user history with a neutral eye, but whatever, your process is flawed, but my girlfriend now wants me to spend time away from the computer, real life is important too lol. Bite the newcomers do whatever you want but vandalism wont die this way, it only grows. Thanks to the admins who actually do care and give suggestions and help, but no kudos or any thanx to those who just 'skirt' the issues and promote 'biting'. laterzs [[User:Happydude 69ya|Happydude 69ya]] ([[User talk:Happydude 69ya#top|talk]]) 23:12, 23 November 2008 (UTC)}}

You have had three independent administrators review your request for unblock, but you don't appear willing to accept their decision or consider their advice. Futher unblock requests are not a productive use of administrator time. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 00:38, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aw shucks!

[edit]

Heck Anto - he awarded me one as well. I think this guy should be cut some slack. I mean, how can a Newbie know the rules? You haven't so much bitten this guy as eaten him! Sarah777 (talk) 21:57, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It seems odd that a new user can find block templates and barnstars so quickly. — Ѕandahl 20:55, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just search templates on the search box there and you can find them. Happydude 69ya (talk) 21:36, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sarah, if you want to attract my atention it is better to post to my own page; I do not watch everyone with whom I interact. I note that three competent admins have supported the block, which was only for 48 hours. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 08:56, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
