Abhairege moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Abhairege, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Music of Tanzania, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brill. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Marioo

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Marioo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. PRAXIDICAE🌈 18:40, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello BevoLJ. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:BevoLJ. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=BevoLJ|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. PRAXIDICAE🌈 18:56, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

I can 100% promise I am not receiving anything from anyone for my edits. I made my page only because I want to make pages for musicians from East Africa.
Recently I updated the 2022 Tanzania Music Awards. Very few, much less than half, of the musicians have pages. This is something I want to see fixed. I would like to see at least the award winning musicians from Tanzania, and eventually all East Africa, have pages. As award winners, that makes them notable and people should be allowed to learn about them.
Again, in no single way to I benefit from anything by my contribution to wikipedia. BevoLJ (talk) 19:04, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Smile emoji Hi BevoLJ! Thank you for your edits to Culture of Tanzania. It looks like you've copied or moved text from Tanzania into that page, and while you are welcome to re-use the content, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. If you've copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thanks! DanCherek (talk) 15:39, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Mtwara District

Hello, first l’d like to thank you for helping on improving Tanzanian geo articles. For the subject above, I’d suggest you build up on the Mtwara District and other similar districts articles instead moving articles. Or you can create those that don’t exist yet (Zanzibar ones). Mtwara District on its own is a legit district separate from Mtwara-Mikindani District, which I created because it didn’t have an article. Please refer to the following list for articles to improve on: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Districts_of_Tanzania

Many thanks. Halidtz (talk) 05:59, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

Hello, thank you for the replay. My confusion was that the article in question, named district was the topic of the article was the municipal council, rather than the district council. The article with topic of district council was the Mtwara Rural, which I was going to make into the Mtwara District. It seemed confusing to have the municipal council as district, and separate rural. BevoLJ (talk) 06:07, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
I think it best, and easiest, to just merge the two articles about the municipal council, into the Mtwara-Mikindani District. Can expand the Rural one later. If it is best as Mtwara Rural I am good with that as that does give good clarity. I will just expand it where it is. Thank you. -BevoLJ (talk) 06:14, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

About the administrative divisions of Tanzania

About the administrative divisions of Tanzania, I want to thank you for responding to me via my talk page. Don't get me wrong, what you have shared makes sense, like the recent censuses in terms of data files. Also I'm also curious on how each of the current 'councils' (i.e.: district or city or municipal) were created from a former council (i.e.: district) since the nation's inception or debut of independence. Hence the "Mother District" aspect. Your thoughts? jlog3000 (talk) 20:28, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

The idea of where the administrative area is made from is interesting. I think you are asking about history? From 1961 to today to see how history unfolds? One thing of that is they are changed to put responsibility and workload on local shoulders. Make more self-governing local areas. This is opposite of why they originally created. Original purpose is to govern from afar (London) and discourage self-governing. And govern by map (North, Central, South, Coast, Lake type names) that has little to do with local real world. So is process of going from one to another. Ends up messy and not prefect, but interesting!
I remembered a resource I think may help you understand some. Or at least you may find very interesting from questions you have asked. Tools and Spatial Technologies for Village Land Use Planning. Hope that is interesting for you! BevoLJ (talk) 07:31, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
@Johnluisocasio You had also asked for maps. Here is a useful map of the road networks that shows down to ward levels. It is updated to 2018 and is more up-to-date than the City Population website I had linked you earlier. But is less easy to use.
This road map, and above reply village guide I hope is helpful! Peace. BevoLJ (talk) 07:37, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
@BevoLJ Thanks, will keep that in mind. But I also hope you understood my "Mother District" aspect when it comes to how each of the current local government units (i.e.: councils, whether district or city or municipal alike) were created or formed from a previous unit within that region. Please keep in touch.
P.S.: I also tried contacting to every official representative for each region's website in those regards. However, and so far, no response. I assume you're also from Tanzania, if I'm not mistaken. jlog3000 (talk) 17:02, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

I also just heard about it last night. It looks like they want people to make at least 100 good redirects first so perhaps something to keep in mind for later. Amani kwako! originalmesstalk 22:01, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
