Icon design principles

[edit]

Just wondering if you were planning to respond at Wikipedia:Village pump (idea lab)#Coming up with principles for future icon redesigns regarding my comments on the design principles? Either way, though, it doesn't seem like the idea village pump is going to be an effective place to establish a consensus view. isaacl (talk) 15:17, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Hi. Can you come over and check the page history for a moment? A user undid edits by me for supposedly reducing the page size. They sent me a reminder message at my talk page. Although I attempted to convince them that they reverted other users' edit, they claimed to have restored some of them and decided to request the page for protection instead. Should my revision, along others, be restored? Please help.102.159.242.79 (talk) 16:51, 16 May 2024 (UTC)

Move review, Transbay Transit Center

[edit]

I want to start a move review: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Transbay_Transit_Center#Requested_move_16_November_2021

See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (US stations)

AC Transit calls it "Salesforce Transit Center." This language is used widespread on maps and trip planning tools, physical signage at bus stops, and digital signage on buses. https://www.actransit.org/overview-maps

The official SFMTA Muni Service Map calls it Salesforce Transit Center: https://www.sfmta.com/maps/muni-service-map

SFCTA calls it Salesforce Transit Center: https://www.sfcta.org/projects/salesforce-transit-center

Google Maps calls it Salesforce Transit Center. A search for "Transbay Transit Center" suggests "Salesforce Transit Center" as the first result. https://www.google.com/maps/search/Transbay+Transit+Center/@37.7897048,-122.3985976,17z/data=!3m1!4b1?entry=ttu

I think it's safe to say that the passengers who pass through the transit center know it as Salesforce Transit Center. Same goes for the drivers and transit agency employees. Tallneil (talk) 10:36, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

@Tallneil You can always open up another RM. Move review is if there is doubt as to the evaluation of consensus by the closer of the RM. Awesome Aasim 12:15, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Will do. Tallneil (talk) 18:56, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
@Tallneil: I have closed your Move review entry procedurally to preemptively prevent a pile-on on the discussion that will most definitely not go in your favour. As what Awesome Aasim had stated, open another RM with the instructions at WP:RSPM. It is not fair and not productive to evaluate a 2021 discussion that had a clear consensus that was based on the information back then. What you presented in your Move review opening is a present day observation which should be discussed in a separate RM. – robertsky (talk) 19:45, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

  • Global blocks may now target accounts as well as IP's. Administrators may locally unblock when appropriate.
  • Users wishing to permanently leave may now request "vanishing" via Special:GlobalVanishRequest. Processed requests will result in the user being renamed, their recovery email being removed, and their account being globally locked.
