Speedy deletion contested: Battle of Kowang-san
[edit]Hello 웬디러비, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Battle of Kowang-san, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. SN54129 12:37, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
February 2022
[edit]Hello, I'm Serial Number 54129. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Battle of Kowang-san seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SN54129 12:40, 28 February 2022 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Edit warring on Template:Campaignbox Idlib ceasefire
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Ecrusized (talk) 12:33, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Colombian Battalion in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 01:16, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for noticing! I would take your advice. Wendylove (talk) 03:43, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Username
[edit]Hi, I just wanted to make a quick comment about your username. As per the Wikipedia:Username policy, a non-Latin username is allowed, but can be problematic;
Users with usernames in non-Latin script writing systems are welcome to edit Wikipedia. There is no requirement that usernames must be in English or that Latin script characters must be used. However, such usernames may appear illegible to other contributors to the English Wikipedia, and not every user's keyboard or input device may have immediate access to non-Latin characters. In addition, sometimes certain characters may not display correctly. As a courtesy to other contributors, and to avoid possible confusion or mis-identification, users with such usernames are encouraged to consider providing a Latin-character transliteration of their username on their userpage, and/or as their signature.
And, from the guideline Wikipedia:Signatures;
Editors with non-Latin usernames are welcome to edit in Wikipedia. However, non-Latin scripts, such as Arabic, Armenian, Chinese, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Indic scripts, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai and others, are illegible to most other contributors of the English Wikipedia. Not everyone uses a keyboard that has immediate access to non-Latin characters, and names that cannot be pronounced cannot be retained in memory. As a courtesy to the rest of the contributors, users with such usernames are encouraged to sign their posts (at least in part) with Latin characters. For an example refer to User:Παράδειγμα, who signs his posts as "Παράδειγμα/Paradigma."
I understand your username appears to be Korean, and it apparently translates to "Wendy Lovey
". I'm not sure what the significance of that is to you, but if you would consider adding that, or another Latinized name or word to your signature, (eg: 웬디러비/Wendy Lovey), it would make interacting with you a great deal easier for your fellow editors.
To attach a Latinized word or name to your signature, just go to "Preferences", and on the first page, under "User Profile", scroll down to "Signatures". There you will see a text box where you can customize your signature to your liking and you will be able to modify it with an add-on in Latin script that will help others identify and communicate with you. There are additional instructions at Wikipedia:Signature tutorial, and at the bottom of the page you will find a list of unique, colorful and creative signatures, just as you will see throughout Wikipedia, that may help give you some ideas. If you need any assistance, you can contact the Help Desk at anytime. I hope you find this useful and, happy editing! - wolf 11:47, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, I hope I changed it right. Thanks! 웬디러비/Wendy Lovey (talk) 23:00, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
Disruptive reverts
[edit]Your account appears to be dedicated to disrupting the works of other editors. Specifically in the form of reverting changes in conflict articles. Your edit here[1] has been reverted. Since you have a history of edit warring and blocks regarding these reverts, I am leaving you a strong warning. Any further disrupting editing in this direction will likely result in your account receiving a permanent block.
Note that the article Israel–Hezbollah conflict (2023–present) covers Israeli airstrike in Syria since 7 October, including those which have killed Iranian troops in Syria. Furthermore, note that a Hezbollah fighter was killed in the 2024 Israeli bombing of the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Ecrusized (talk) 11:40, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
- Are you going to bullying by threating me again? This is abosuletly violating Wikipedia:Assume good faith and Wikipedia:Etiquette. I cannot bear anymore about your attitude toward me since your debate in campaignbox. 웬디러비/Wendy Lovey (talk) 22:34, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
