This page in a nutshell: It's perfectly okay to delete the main page! Go ahead, try it now! |
You may have been told that deleting the main page is a bad idea, but this is actually absolute bollocks. On Wikipedia, you should ignore the rules, and I mean ALL the rules.
You might think you are having a laugh, but sometimes, the joke is missed. If you find yourself having to say "jokes do not come across well here", people clearly just don't get it! You should keep making disruptive jokes! They'll surely get it eventually!
In other words, always joke about causing disruption – and if someone misses that it was meant in humor or sarcasm, simply berate them until they get it!
Always remember, there are no rules! Do whatever you please! Vandalise! Assume bad faith! And if you really want to have fun, delete the main page! If anyone tries to stop you, assume that they are massive idiots, and explain, in as simple terms as possible, that you are far more intelligent than them and they simply do not understand how Wikipedia works.
Besides, the main page violates WP:SELF, so I'm sure you can justify it to other admins!
