Copy abilities
[edit]This section seems excessive, especially because it's dominating the article right now. WP:NOT and all that. Opinions on removal? Aerion//talk 04:23, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, guess I shouldn't have put that in <_<; Presumably it should be removed, or moved somewhere else? Probably the former. --gakon5 (talk)
Yeah, 35 possible abilities, including Ribbon's Crystal --Svtopdog (talk) 15:11, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Storyline a quote?
[edit]I added Template:Quotation since looking at the history it seemed like it was from another source (at one point, the storyline was from the manual but it changed so I dunno). If it isn't, feel free to remove the template. --shadytrees
- I have the Kirby 64 manual, and no, it doesn't contain this article's Storyline. I can confirm, though, that the Storyline section is, for the most part, an accurate scene-by-scene description of the Kirby 64 opening movie. --220.237.67.125 06:00, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
- It doesn't really have an encyclopedic tone to it; I might try reducing an editing it to just the main points: Kirby was stargazing, got nailed by a fairy riding a crystal shard, they find another, gotta find the rest, O is evil, etc. -- gakon5 15:33, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Is 0² really 2D-railed?
[edit]It's possible to swerve around him to the point where he he has trouble catching up with Kirby.
Judging from that and the background, it seems Kirby can move in an entire sphere around 0². The camera just happens to face Kirby's back, and 0² always tries to face him. -Okay, upon closer inspection, it says 3D, not 2D. What the hell is wrong with my eyes?
- It definitely does not appear to be 2D-railed. I certainly don't know what's wrong with your eyes though. I can't make my eyes see the same way yours do. KirbyManiac (talk) 17:49, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Template
[edit]Sorry about the template messing up the infobox. I'd fix it, but I'm not sure how to. -- VGF11 03:48, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
In universe?
[edit]I disagree that the article is written "in universe", and I'll remove the tag in a day if no one has any complaints. Miles Blues 04:46, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Blurred Image
[edit]In the boss match against the painter kid in the second level, one enemy he draws is blurred out. What is censored about it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.174.167.81 (talk) 01:26, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps the monster is censorship itself! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.122.63.142 (talk) 16:13, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Somebody thinks that it is fun to say "Your mother's house". Could anybody fix it please? Especially since it seems that there used to say something a LITTLE more important. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.150.79.251 (talk) 04:52, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
About the number of Crystal Shards...
[edit]There are actually 72 Crystal Shards to be collected in levels. There's 22 normal levels, all of which have 3 shards each. There is also 6 boss levels, each with 1 shard. 22 times 3 is 66, 66 plus 6 is 72. That makes it so there are 72 shards to be collected. I just wanted to clear that up. --69.115.78.102 (talk) 12:38, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Supposed Wii stuff... again
[edit]Someone added this, obviously talking about the new Wii title that will supposedly come out:
JP July 5, 2010 NA February 8, 2010
And they didn't even give a source... 76.175.116.65 (talk) 22:37, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Port
[edit]I noticed there wasn't much info on the VC or DS versions --71.93.74.89 (talk) 18:41, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- There is no DS version announced. ~ 68.84.120.129 (talk) 03:33, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
Well YEAH there wasn't since the og was made back in 2000!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Atomic Greninja)
DS?
[edit]THERE IS NO RELEASE FOR KIRBY 64 FOR DS. DID THEY ANNOUNCE THAT? THERE IS NO RELEASE FOR THE DS! Someone(Atomic Greninja) changed this so it was appropriate. Who did that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.162.54.236 (talk) 16:30, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Review
[edit]@TarkusAB: Here's my comments.
- Lead
- "The game was intended for the N64's 64DD add-on, but became a N64 Game Pak after the add-on failed." - N64 Game Pak what? Feels like there's a word missing there. I realise it's the term for the cartridge, but that left me lost until I actually clicked on the link.
- Revised to "... but became a standard N64 title after the add-on failed." JOEBRO64 17:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Gameplay
- I know it's integral to the article's subject matter, but the term "player" or "players" is used rather a lot in places.
- I don't really see how this is a problem. It doesn't strike me as repetitive and in most cases it's the easiest way to describe the game's aspects. For instance, "Players can adjust the difficulty level and control Kirby, King Dedede, Adeleine, or Waddle Dee" would look weird if we changed it to "The difficulty level can be adjusted and Kirby, King Dedede, Adeleine, or Waddle Dee can be controlled." JOEBRO64 17:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Development
- "Power Combos were created to enhance Kirby's abilities and experiment what would happen if copy abilities were mixed.[5]" - Again, feels like there's a word missing.
- Revised to "The Power Combo game mechanic was..." JOEBRO64 17:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Please amend the Return to Dream Land link to Kirby's Return to Dream Land. At the moment, it goes through a needless redirect.
- Not done, see WP:NOTBROKEN. JOEBRO64 17:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- References
- Several citations lack access dates or archived links.
- Added archive URLs. Access dates aren't required for articles with publication dates per WP:CITEWEB. JOEBRO64 17:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Ref 13: Is the source created by journalists or contributions from readers/users? If the latter, I'd advice getting alternate sources.
- I'm certain this is the site's staff. WP:VG/S says NLife is fine for release dates. JOEBRO64 17:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
I'll leave any further comments, if I note anything, after the above are dealt with. --ProtoDrake (talk) 15:10, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- @ProtoDrake: Responded above JOEBRO64 17:04, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- @TheJoebro64 and TarkusAB: Since it's all been adequately explained or addressed, I think this article counts as a Pass. --ProtoDrake (talk) 20:18, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Plot
[edit]Should we consider creating a potential plot section for the article, using the Crash Bandicoot and Mario GAs as a model? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:30, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- No. This game barely has a plot, and frankly I don't think Mario and Crash articles need them either. JOEBRO64 15:29, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
