The 2022 San Jose elections were held on March 5, 2022. Voters will elect candidates in a nonpartisan primary, with runoff elections scheduled for November 3. The Mayor and five of the ten seats in the City Council are up for election.

Incumbent Sam Liccardo is term-limited and ineligible to run for re-election. Matt Mahan and Cindy Chavez advanced to a runoff, where Mahan was elected.
The 3rd district is located in Downtown San Jose. The incumbent is Raul Peralez, who was first elected in 2014 and cannot seek re-election to office due to term limits. Omar Torres and Irene Smith advanced to a runoff, where Torres was elected.
