The 2004 California Mock United States Senate Election took place on October 28, 2004. This was the first Senatorial Mock Election the California Secretary of State's office has sponsored. A map was created using their county results PDF.[1] Counties with gray have no votes reporting.
In an effort to encourage prospective voters, the California Secretary of State created the "California Student Mock Election" program to "encourage students to become active voters once they are old enough to cast a ballot."[2] Since the creation of the program in 2004, there has been mock elections in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022.
