Voting?

There are various voting happening already. Should we modify them to comments? It's very confusing right now, because when I bumped in this election page, I thought the voting started already (I scrolled down with "page down" and did not see the "DO NOT VOTE" text). Assistant Coordinators

Can someone advise how the assistant coordinator positions work - ie does one assistant coordinator take control of each section (peer review, outreach etc) of the MILHIST project? Or do all work together on all? It might be a good idea if not already implemented to have a single individual in charge of each section. Perhaps if this was or could be the case each candidate could indicate the aeea of responsibility they might wish to take on. - PocklingtonDan 09:46, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Let's see:
  • The coordinator positions don't involve any executive power, so speaking about "taking control" of departments isn't quite correct, in any case.
  • More generally, the assistant positions are all basically "at-large". Running each individual department is a relatively small part of the overall workload, so there's no real need to have a "dedicated" coordinator for each; and there's no particular benefit to doling out sectons of the project to specific people otherwise.

Not Running

Greetings fellow MilHist Wikieditors, as can be apperent from my last two months of "activity", I shall not be running anew for Assistant-Coordinator. It was an honnour to have been chosen in the last round of elections and hope that I did not disapoint. Even though my time is now far more constraint I hope to return and aid where I can for the next group of electees.
