Requests for assessment

[edit]

Editors can self-assess articles against the five B-class criteria(FAQ) up to and including C-Class. If you have made significant improvements to an article against one or more of B-class criteria and would like an outside opinion on a new rating for it, please feel free to list it below, specifying which criteria you have worked on. If you feel unable to assess against one or more of the B-class criteria, please say so when posting. Requests for formal A-Class review should be made at the review department. Please consider entering articles you have improved in the military history article writing contest.

Experienced assessors are encouraged to take a look at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history/Coordinators#AutoCheck report for October and check a few of ≈ B-Class assessments. Feel free to downgrade them if you consider they don't meet one or more the criteria. Please also delete any that you have checked. See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Spaceflight/Assessment, whose articles often overlap with military history topics.

@Saxum:: (editing previously incomplete message from me posted several minutes ago) I have been unable to determine the reason for and meaning of this error message appearing in red font in connection with the block quote: "Error: [undefined] Error: {{Lang}}: no text (help): invalid parameter: |fn= (help)". The message on the page has a link leading to a help page (which in fact can be clicked on from the message just copied; that page in turn links to a page on ISO codes if a wrong code is in the template that was used.) My only guess would be that stated language item in the blockquote may be incorrect. Since the date appears nearly the same in English, I think the translation may be correct. I don't know how to eliminate this. Please try to remove this message. If you can't do it, we will need to find someone who can. Otherwise, it is a B class article, very well done. Hey Donner60. It appears to be an issue with the template Template:Translated blockquote, not the article itself.--Saxum (talk) 14:21, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Update, I've contacted the author of the template to see if he can fix it. --Saxum (talk) 14:36, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I turned to the talk page and the milhist bot beat me to it and rated it B class. The bot apparently was not disturbed by the anomalous error message showing in the next. I agree with the bot assessment, so it is now B class. I hope that the error message can be removed because it is an unnecessary distraction in a very good article. Thanks for your good work on it.
