Hello, I absolutely need this paper to create the Parapliohyrax article, and potentially expand the Ngororo Formation article as well. Seems like it's only hosted by Schweizerbart, can provide more info if need be.

Here's a version in English; can you access the full text, and is that enough? https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342534982_OliveraetalBAR

@Jo-Jo Eumerus: I see, yeah, hmm... How did you find this, and why do you think it should mention Carachipampa?
Solomon Ucko (talk) 19:33, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Revista Hombre y Desierto, 9 Tomo I: 351-352." instead. Got it, hmm... I already sent you that article on February 28th (see WP:WikiProject_Resource_Exchange/Resource_Request/Archive_162#Hombre_y_Desierto_(journal)), and unfortunately see no mention of Carachipampa in it...

The best I've been able to find so far for "Geología de las áreas Salar de Pajonales y Cerro Moño, regiones de Antofagasta y Atacama" (no. 153-154) is this preview: http://carpintero.bri.cl/wp_png/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/producto-126-SalarPajonales-CerroMono-2013.jpg and this old product page: https://web.archive.org/web/20210119154457/http://tienda.sernageomin.cl/TiendaVirtual2/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=2409

I also found https://catalogobiblioteca.sernageomin.cl/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=284043, but my librarians (at a university in the United States) told me that South American libraries generally don't even answer their ILL requests, much less fulfill them.
It looks like the series (ISSN 0717-7283, OCLC 1069011386) exists in a German library, Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Münster, but I'm not sure which issues they have: https://katalogplus.uni-muenster.de/permalink/49HBZ_ULM/1orud0a/alma991042682269706449. I can try requesting an ILL if you remind me in a couple of weeks, but would you or User:Doc Taxon have better access to it?

@Jo-Jo Eumerus: In addition to various citations to "Geología de las áreas Salar de Pajonales y Cerro Moño", I also found this government declaration about it, but I'm not sure what to make of it. https://difrol.gob.cl/transparencia/docs/terceros/res/566%20SERNAGEOMIN%2019%20DICIEMBRE.pdf

I can’t access the source anywhere, so it would be helpful. According to the discussion, the source has an entire paragraph that provides sigcov of You Are in Love, so I would appreciate it if someone can send me just this entire paragraph.

@Serial Number 54129: Awesome! In this case, I used a combination of switching from snippet search mode to preview mode, editing the URL to set the page number, looking for context clues to indicate where I am, etc., making use of my familiarity with both Google Books and publication formatting. I also got lucky in various ways; this technique won't always work, and sometimes I do have to give up on getting Google Books to give me what I want. Latin Grammy Award-winning Album of the Year sources

[edit]

{{resolved}} This is mainly for the albums released in the early to mid-2000s since sources are hard to find online.

Los de Atras Vienen Conmigo
  • MUSIC Seattle Post - Intelligencer; Seattle, Wash.. 25 Oct 2008

Kunja Behari Dash [or] mentioned a tale titled Sarakumar, wherein heroine journeys to the land of snakes in search of her husband. For Champavati, since Bezbarua's version has a second part with missing husband and heroine's search.

2. * Mishra, Mahendra Kumar (2015). Folktales of Odisha. India: National Book Trust. pp. 133-135 ("The Old Woman and the Python"). ISBN 9788123773773.

Also for Champavati: possibly the Asian introduction Stuart Blackburn noted for tale type 433C (mother asks for figs and snake provides them).

3. * Mishra, Mahendra Kumar (2015). Folktales of Odisha. India: National Book Trust. pp. 76-80 (tale "Nagakumar"). ISBN 9788123773773.

For Champavati. Heroine's husband is snake in practically every Indian variant of animal as bridegroom.

4. * Mishra, Mahendra Kumar (2015). Folktales of Odisha. India: National Book Trust. pp. 163-169 (tale "The Girl inside the Bel Fruit"). ISBN 9788123773773.

For The Belbati Princess (Indian folktale). Kunja Behari Dash [or] mentioned an Orissan tale titled The Story of Belabati (Belabati katha), which is possibly this one.

Nebraska Public TV video "Street of Dreams" (1992 version)

[edit]

For North 24th Street

I don't know whether this falls within your bailiwick, but I figured that I'd give it a shot.

The Wayback archive links for the 1992 Nebraska Public TV video "The Street of Dreams" appear to all be useless.

The 1994 video "A street of Dreams" is readily available, but no clue as to whether there is any likelihood that "A Street of Dreams (1994)" is actually a suitable alternative to "The Street of Dreams (1992)".

There are about 20 articles on enwiki that cite (or intend to cite) this source.

Thanks, Fabrickator (talk) 05:04, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Fabrickator: There does not appear to be a The Street of Dreams (1992). The supposed link for it is archived (at [3]) but instead lists: "A Street of Dreams, 58 minutes, Great Plains National Instructional TV 1994. Documents the history of Omaha's African-American and Jewish community on North 24th Street, which flourished in the 1920s."
One would have to watch the whole video to find where in it each statement attributed to it is supported (or more-or-less supported, editors can be pretty slapdash about source-text integrity). The lynching of Will Brown covered in Omaha, Nebraska is described starting at 14:02 minutes in, for example (I don't think it puts a dollar figure on the damage, but I'm not going to go through it with a fine tooth comb). The video mentions B'nai Jacob, as claimed in History of the Jews in Omaha, Nebraska (but calls it a congregation from Lithuania instead of "a Conservative congregation"), and so forth. If this information answers your question, please mark this {{resolved}}. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:38, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Worldbruce: I appreciate your efforts to locate a 1992 video called "The Street of Dreams", but I believe the most plausible explanation is that there was in fact a 1992 production of "The Street of Dreams". In 1994, at the time they decided to do a subsequent release, they became aware that "the street of dreams" was used in other cities, and in fact, the New York Times did a story in 1992 titled "On The Street of Dreams" to refer to St. Marks Place. So when Nebraska public tv decided to issue a 1994 release, it made sense that they would change the title to "A Street of Dreams". Fabrickator (talk) 19:02, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Fabrickator and Worldbruce:
It's hard to search for due to "Street of Dreams" not being a unique name, but here are references to it that I've found that seem to be clearly relevant; see the links for more context/details:
  • [4]: "'A Street of Dreams' video produced by Nebraska ETV Network in 1992."

  • [9]: "Camille Steed of Omaha directed the 1994 documentary 'A Street of Dreams' that frames the heyday and decline of the city's African-American commercial-cultural hub, North 24th Street."

  • [18]: "Street of dreams / Authors: Camille Steed, [...] Lincoln, Neb. : NET : Distributed by GPN Educational Media, ©1994. [...] Call Number: Reserve DVD 978.2254 St83 1994 [same thing but with a different format prefix]"
  • [19], "Full details": "Title: Street of dreams / production of the Public Affairs Unit for University of Nebraska-Lincoln Television. Publication: Lincoln, Neb. : Great Plains National Instructional Television Library, c1994."
  • [20]: "Air Date: 08/01/1994"
    • On-screen text at the start of the video: "Nebraska ETV Network [x2]; University of Nebraska at Omaha; Nebraska Humanities Council"
    • On-screen text at the end of the video (starting at 56m58s): "Writer/Producer/Director: Camille Steed; [...]; A Production of the Public Affairs Unit, for University of Nebraska Lincoln Television, ©1994"
(IIRC, in the US, the date in the copyright line is the publication date, i.e. when they aired it, not the creation date, i.e. when they produced it.)
My best guess is that the same video was produced in 1992 and aired in 1994.

Shankar Raman, have you tried asking folks over at WikiProject Queensland? By random chance alone there isn't much chance anyone's going to be from Brisbane, but it's much higher there and maybe they could go to the state library or, if they are outside Brisbane but still in Queensland, do an ILL, which is free for Queensland libraries.
Not a very active WikiProject but it could help.
Newspaper Archives do not cover that article, Newspapers by Ancestry do not cover Queensland at all. Szmenderowiecki (talk) 12:29, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the suggestion--will look it up. Shankar Raman (talk) 05:21, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, a couple of Google Books results ([21], [22]) indicate that the title of the article might simply be "Erythrina resupinata", but I'm not sure.
I could try requesting an interlibrary loan through my US library in March, when they don't have as much to do, since this might be difficult for them; let me know at some point if you'd like me to attempt that then. I'd encourage you to first try asking WikiProject Queensland, as Szmenderowiecki said, or perhaps better WikiProject Australian biota, such as by putting a message on the WikiProject's talk page.

For Kinnareemimus, which I recently expanded from a stub. The phylogenetic placement has been a difficult issue to resolve and access to this paper would help the article be more comprehensive in its coverage.

For Draft:Silas Bronson and/or Draft:Silas Bronson Library; via GScholar. Not at WP:Library despite PQ hosting; this may turn out to be a decent starting point for future work on the latter article. (I finally launched the first topic two hours ago at AFC after many years on the shelf. For those outside Connecticut, this deals with a Waterbury library and its 19th-century founder; I was a frequent patron of this facility until 2017, when I changed states.)

All the best...

Need access to Taylor & Francis which I cannot find at the WP library

For Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Working on peer review and cannot find accessible copy of this source, which I desperately need. Thanks! (please ping me)

Thanks, SusunW (talk) 15:30, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@SusunW: It actually is available at Taylor & Francis in TWL. —Bruce1eetalk 15:36, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea how you found that, I tried the name, the author, and the doi, and got nothing. But no matter. I am very, very appreciative of your help. {{resolved}} SusunW (talk) 15:38, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@SusunW: I first went to Taylor & Francis in the WP Library, then entered the doi in the T&F search bar. I didn't use the Library's search bar at the top of the page, I find that doesn't always find what I'm looking for. —Bruce1eetalk 15:49, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I rarely use the box at the top. I also went to T&F. How did you phrase the search, because I just put the number and got nothing. Should I have said Doi? SusunW (talk) 15:56, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I typed 10.1080/07491409.2017.1334456 (without the "doi") in the T&F search bar, and it found the article. But I've just tried it again, and this time it didn't find anything, so I don't know why sometimes it works and other times not. —Bruce1eetalk 16:10, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! At least I know it's arbitrary and I should try several times. I do appreciate your taking the time to play with it and help me learn things. SusunW (talk) 16:33, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven

The first source is a book that discusses the development of Canadian music in the early 2000s. This chapter in particular talks about Godspeed You! Black Emperor, including the album Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven. While I can somewhat access it on Google Books, it does not have page numbers, and not all the pages are available. The footnotes from the book I have added to the article in question are guesswork because I do not know the exact page numbers and would like a stable copy for verification and ease.

The rest are reviews of the album taken from either the review score sidebar already in the article or the album's entry on Metacritic. I have applied on the Wikipedia Library to access Rock's Backpages, but there's no guarantee I will find them there.

Thanks, Lazman321 (talk) 22:20, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have added two additional sources for request: the media notes for both formats of the album: back cover, liner notes, additional artwork, etc. I seemingly cannot find them in full online and given the added artwork and unusual tracklist, at least according to sources, I doubt Discogs would be useful. I mostly need them to verify for myself the contents and the personnel behind the album. Lazman321 (talk) 05:19, 24 December 2023 (UTC) Nevermind, Discogs actually had images of what I was looking for, so ignore this. Lazman321 (talk) 21:05, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I actually tried to write about GYBE!'s new 'lift yr. skinny fists like antennas to heaven!' while I was high as a kite, but I lost the plot (there's a lesson for you 16-year-olds: Don't get stoned unless you do your homework first). Here are some notes I took after inhaling a spliff as big as the Ritz:
