AfC notification: Draft:Mino Shiba Inu has a new comment
[edit]- in answer to your question: I would definitely consider them different breeds, it seems there are various types of local shiba inu in Japan. Here is some research where they say they should be treated as different breeds: https://www.jstage.jst.go.jp/article/abgri2000/36/2/36_2_95/_pdf
- I think its like how theres many dogs with ‘retriever’ in the name but they are not all considered the same breed.
- I could change the name to the alternate name ‘Gifu Inu’ if it is less confusing, but Mino Shiba Inu seems to be more commonly used in Japan.
- Thank you for your interest. SpookMew (talk) 12:30, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

1800s vs. 18-hundreds
[edit]Hello, SpookMEw! welcome to Wikipedia. I can see you've been writing a lot of solid content, but you haven't been around for a few months; feel free to ignore this until you have time, I'm often not around, too.
About this revision, I wanted to mention that "1800s" and "eighteen hundreds" are not the same thing, because sometimes people use "1800s" to mean "1800-1810". It's not a big deal, it's just a little more ambiguous.
I don't know if you've noticed, but another editor marked Draft:Jikkoku Inu as a "promising draft", meaning they think it's good and they'd really like it to be published in mainspace. Personally I think the self-published Facebook sources might meet WP:EXPERT and be usable; you might mention that if you request another review.
I think you've now been around long enough and learnt enough that you can just create articles in the mainspace, yourself, like this, rather than needing to get each one reviewed at Articles for Creation. You can still get the review if you want to, but you don't need to; you are generally writing well, and articles don't need to be perfect. The main purpose of AfC is to screen out the people writing about their own garage band they started yesterday. HLHJ (talk) 23:04, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
