Page numbers in citations
Hi, thanks for sorting out the sockpuppets that messed about with Suzi Quatro. However, I am puzzled by the deletion of rp templates from citations in this edit. WP:PROVEIT states "Cite the source clearly and precisely (specifying page, ...)". Best wishes for a happy new year, Peter Loader (talk) 20:28, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. You're right, that was my mistaken deletion of what I thought were dead references following the cleanup. I'll go revert my mistake now. Thanks, Ruby Murray 20:32, 1 January 2014 (UTC)

Rolling Stone
Although I agree that Theoneiammassivelyjealousof (talk · contribs) is almost surely a sock puppet, the edit on Rolling Stone (Suzi Quatro song), removing information about Quattro's influence, is actually entirely logical. The information is question is duplicated from the Suzi Quatro article, and was controversial enough there to require a discussion there. There seems to be no need to duplicate the information in this article. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:07, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- I completely agree. Please feel free to remove it. Ruby Murray 17:09, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
Steve Comisar
Dear Ruby, please find my explanation below about Steve Comisar.
Dear Wikipedia Editors/Moderators: Thank you for replying to me. I am using the current references in the article. I have provided a new reference below that will be better to add more acting credits to the article and make it more fair, neutral, balanced, and impartial. I also thank you for offering your assistance with the editing. I am in India and having some difficulties with this. Please do the editing for me:
ACTING CAREER: Proposed new reference: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm131409/ This reference can be used to add ALL of Comisar's acting credits to "Acting Career" section of article. I have seen this website used as a reference on Wikipedia to verify credits of hundreds of actors. By adding more acting credits, the article will be more impartial, fair, neutral, unbiased, and balanced. (See WP: Neutrality) Please also restore all acting credits previously deleted. There is a lot more to add to "Acting Career" found on the above website. (The above site also has individual pages for each movie and TV show that can be used separately for each acting credit).
FIRST SENTENCE: The body of the article does mention that Comisar is an actor and an author, however, this should also be mentioned in the first sentence. While best known as a notable criminal, Comisar is also an actor and author. Standing alone, Comisar is less notable if he were only a con man, or only an author, or only an actor. But the unique combination of all three makes it noteworthy in the first sentence, solely because he IS all of these. The current first sentence mentions "extortionist" however, Comisar has only one minor conviction for this crime. (He's much more notable as an actor and author than an extortionist.) It is not "unbiased" to mention extortionist in the first sentence without also mentioning "American actor" and "author." (The order of careers in the proposed first sentence are in order of what Comisar is most notable for. The reference links below verify each career.) Kindly edit/change first sentence to:
PROPOSED FIRST SENTENCE: Steven Robert Comisar (born December 30, 1961) is a convicted con man,[5] American actor,[3] *[11] author,[7] [8] and extortionist.[1]
- [11] Proposed new reference link:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm131409/
WP: NEUTRALITY: In compliance with Wikipedia Policy on Neutrality, please edit/change first sentence as noted above. This will allow for a non-biased, fair, neutral, and balanced first sentence. Everything else in this article is perfect. It's only the first sentence that's so troublesome. Please consider and make a fair decision. Obviously, it's you who will decide. I am only a poor man from India trying to seek a little neutrality here. I have read WP: Neutrality, and my requests are fully in compliance. Please make the edits for me because I don't know how to do it.
PROPOSED NEW "ACTING CAREER" SECTION: Comisar became an actor at a young age appearing in movies, TV shows and commercials.[11] He had roles in the motion pictures Tough Luck,[11] Fists of Iron,[11] The Seduction of Gina,[11] and the adult film Sister Dearest,[11] with Traci Lords. Comisar had roles in the TV series Throb,[11] and Hell Town.[11] Comisar also starred in the documentary film Making Crime Pay.[11]
Again, thank you for your kind assistance with editing this article. If you are not willing to make these positive changes, PLEASE leave the article as it is, and not delete any more of the positive accomplishments. Happy New Year!! Be kind to others and the world will be kind to you!
Kind greetings, Amit Mishra, India — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maniamit (talk • contribs)
- Hello Amit. I'd like to help, but the numbers in brackets don't make it clear which references you're proposing. For actor, the IMDB link can be used, although it's not the most reliable of sources. Which reference do you propose for his work as an author? Ruby Murray 12:42, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
- I noted his film role in the intro, using the IMDB reference you noted above. Another editor has reverted this, correctly noting that following discussion at the talk page the consensus was that he really isn't notable as an actor or writer, but as a con man, so the intro isn't the best place to mention the film roles. Ruby Murray 16:39, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
Dear Ruby, Thank you so very much for all of your help with editing this article. Also, thank you for adding the IMDB reference link to help make this article more neutral, balanced, and objective. I only have one change which I would ask that you kindly make for me. In the "Acting Career" section, you omitted the important first sentence from the previous version of the article. You can also use the new IMDB link [11] to add the credits listed below. Can you please edit the "Acting Career" section as noted below? You are doing a very important service to Wikipedia by helping insure fairness, objectivity, and neutrality to these articles. You are a wonderful, kind, human being!
NEW "ACTING CAREER" SECTION: Comisar became an actor at a young age appearing in movies, TV shows and commercials.[11] He had roles in the motion pictures Tough Luck,[11] Fists of Iron,[11] The Seduction of Gina,[11] and the adult film Sister Dearest,[11] with Traci Lords. Comisar had roles in the TV series' Throb,[11] and Hell Town.[11] Comisar also starred in the documentary film Making Crime Pay.[11]
Please edit exactly as shown above. This will insure a well balanced article.
Kindest regards, Amit Mishra Maniamit (talk) 16:02, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- We need a reference first, to verify that he was an actor at a young age in all those roles. Thanks, Ruby Murray 16:27, 6 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Ruby,
- Use the IMDB reference [11] to verify the proposed first sentence of the "Acting Career" section:
- Comisar became an actor at a young age appearing in movies, TV shows and commercials.[11]
- Please note the years of some of Comisar's earlier movies and TV shows to see that he did start acting at a young age. Please read this IMDB page carefully for complete Filmography verifying more roles and the dates of all these projects.
- Kindest regards,
- Amit Mishra Maniamit (talk) 13:41, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yes I've read his IMDB page carefully (it's not very long) and I had already added it to the "Acting career" section 4 days ago. His earliest role was in 1984, when he was 23 years old, so I'm not sure how adding "at a young age" is helpful. They were all minor roles. That page says nothing about commercials. Dear Ruby, I agree with everything you said about the Comisar article. I have no more suggestions because you have been so thorough. Thank you for all of your assistance and keen insight.
Since you are such a competent Wikipedia editor, would you please write an article for Comisar's book, "America's Guide to Fraud Prevention?" The book is notable and has many reliable sources on the internet. In fact, most of these sources are in the references used for the Comisar article. Most all of these references mention the book. Take a look. I just read the book on Amazon/Kindle and it was surprisingly good. You could use a lot of the Comisar article in the article for the book, as the author is Steve Comisar, and he is notable. It is clear that both the author and the book are notable.
Finally, you can use any image of the book cover on the internet for the article, as they are all identical, and would not infringe on copyrights. Please let me know if you can do this. The book should have it's own Wikipedia article, and whom better to write it than someone so familiar with the author. (and you are a very knowledgeable Wikipedia editor) Your colleagues, such as Frze, Reddogsix, and anyone else reading this are also invited to contribute to the creation of this new article. Soon I will have learned enough to write my own articles.
Kindest regards, Amit Mishra Maniamit (talk) 12:59, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
- I've just had a read of Wikipedia:Notability (books), and it doesn't seem that America's Guide to Fraud Prevention is notable enough as a book for its own article, though its author is notable, and as you said, the book is mentioned in Steve Comisar. The references for the book in that article only mention the book in passing, in articles about Comisar, and I can't find substantial coverage of the book itself online from reliable sources, just listings on book search sites and eBay. So a new article on the book would probably just get redirected back to Steve Comisar. Ruby Murray 13:51, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
-- Reply -- Hi Ruby, OK. I guess we can forget about the article for Comisar's book for now. I feel there is still more that can be added to the Steve Comisar article. His IMDB Bio does mention "appeared in over 40 TV commercials" and "began acting at a young age." (since when is 23 not young?) See the IMDB Bio URL: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0131409/bio --
The following sentence is well documented and should be re-edited back into the "Acting Career" section as the first sentence:
Comisar began acting at a young age, appearing in movies, TV shows, and commercials.*[12] --
*[12] Proposed new reference link #12 for the above first sentence: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm/0131409/bio --
Lastly, the following credits should be added to the "Acting Career" section as they are documented in Comisar's IMDB Filmography. Please edit in:
Add Motion Picture: Sister Dearest [11]; Add TV Series: Throb [11]; Add TV Series: Hell Town [11]; --
By adding to the "Acting Career" section, you are making the article more fair, balanced, and neutral. As usual, thanks for all of your expert help, and I look forward to you making these documented additions to the article.

Hi Ruby, Thank you so much for adding the missing film and TV roles to Steve Comisar. Please don't forget to edit back in the original first sentence of "Acting career" referenced by the IMDB Bio: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0131409/bio
--> Comisar began acting at a young age, appearing in movies, TV shows,
and commercials.*[12] --
- [12] Proposed new reference link #12 for the above first sentence:
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0131409/bio --
Comisar's IMDB bio clearly says: "appeared in over 40 TV commercials" and "began acting at a young age." (23 is young) See first paragraph of bio.
Thank you once again for assisting me in this difficult editing process. You must have been doing this for many years to become so knowledgeable. My goal is to actually edit articles myself by the end of this year.

- I tried adding that sentence, but it was removed by another editor as IMDB is not a reliable source. You can find out more about why at Wikipedia:External links/Perennial websites. Thanks, Ruby Murray 15:39, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
-- Reply --- Hi Ruby, How are you today? Thank you for trying to edit back in the original first sentence in the Steve Comisar "Acting career" section. I guess we should just leave it alone for now. However, Reddogsix adding "minor supporting roles" to "Acting career" was completely redundant and grammatically incorrect. This is improper grammar and improper syntax. I would ask that you please correct this error. --
Please remove the word "minor" before supporting roles in "Acting career." Obviously, all supporting roles are smaller roles. Everybody knows this. It is redundant and totally superfluous to add the word "minor" before the word supporting. It is also not proper grammar or syntax. Please delete the word "minor" and justify it by stating the obvious. Using proper grammar and proper syntax, the correct way to phrase this sentence is, "He also had supporting roles in the motion pictures..." Please edit this. (We do not say, "the short midget" or "the wet water") - [Elements of Style, 1965] --
This is so incredibly frustrating for me to see how some Wikipedia editors will go out of their way to make the Comisar article as negative as possible just because he is a criminal. Fairness, objectivity, and neutrality should apply to everyone. Some of the editors find it impossible to remain impartial and follow Wikipedia policy. I hope you agree with me on this obvious point and delete this one word, "minor." Thank you.
Kindest regards, Amit Mishra Maniamit (talk) 12:32, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- The grammar and usage are fine. I don't see a problem with neutrality either: he's not very well known for his acting career, as they were all minor supporting roles, and shouldn't be given any greater weight than they have already. The only reference we even have for his acting roles is IMDB, which is not a reliable source. It's fair, objective and neutral. I don't plan to make any more changes to the article. Goodbye and good luck to you. Ruby Murray 12:52, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
--Reply-- Hi Ruby, I know you are tired of both me and the Comisar article. I just wanted to thank you for all of the help you have given me. I do think Comisar's book is worthy of an article. Here is my proposed article for the book, "America's Guide to Fraud Prevention." It's very short. Please post it and we will see if it flies. If it gets deleted or redirected, at least I tried. This is all a learning process for me, and you are greatly helping me with this tricky editing business. I am still a novice and not ready to proceed without you. Please feel free to contribute your expertise by adding or changing anything you like. --
TITLE: "America's Guide to Fraud Prevention" --
America's Guide to Fraud Prevention (ISBN 978-1560723332) is a non-fiction book written by Brett Champion, a pseudonym for well known con man, Steve Comisar.[7][8][9] The book is considered a "piece of fraud history" by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.[10] --

Removing Myself
I have given up trying to contribute to a page on a topic I am an expert in because I'm tired of dealing with the editor who is squatting on it. To this end, I am removing my discussions (the thing I wrote). This appears to be impossible as the nth+1 random wikipedia editor keeps appearing and reverting. Can you please point me to a process which allows me to do so, because from my perspective, this is becoming petty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.5.190.129 (talk) 15:36, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
- The problem is that you're not just deleting your own comments, you're also deleting those of other editors. I won't revert your repeated deletion at User_talk:Qwertyus, but other editors are within their rights to restore their own comments, especially at their own talk page. And if only your posts are deleted, the replies to your posts won't make any sense. There's more info on refactoring talk pages at Wikipedia:Refactoring talk pages. TCH
I would like to know why my post was deleted. TCH invented zip clamps which is an industry first. All products were prototyped, 3D printed in-house to create this. It is a major component in ATA flight case technology and TCH holds the patent for this product. Even Cirque du Soleil and the Stanley Cup cases are made with zip clamps. Company is an OEM so they do not want to name-drop, but it is definitely a notable product. Please advise and TIA Champagne86 (talk) 16:03, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. I couldn't find any of that information online. Can you point me at some references to verify that? The article can always be undeleted if we can find some evidence of notability. Thanks, Ruby Murray 16:08, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi Ruby, thank you for the quick response. Zip Clamps were featured on the Desjardins ad installed on Cirque du Soleil flight cases. Uploaded image link here. Also Stanley Cup cases were made by Clydesdale Custom Cases previously (link) and FlightForm (link) recently. These cases also feature TCH zip clamps. Please note the issue here is that the flight case industry does not have a lot of educational literature online and I believe an article about TCH Zip Clamps would be an educational benefit to people who want to make flight cases at home or an engineer who needs more information.Champagne86 (talk) 17:29, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the links. But I can't see anything about TCH in those. Is there maybe a trade journal, online or offline, confirming the company's firsts and notable inventions? We need a reliable, secondary source for this: see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources for more info. Thanks, Ruby Murray 22:27, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
Because TCH manufactures these latches/clamps and the industry is highly competitive, the case builders will not publicly reveal their sources etc. The patent for the recessed latch (at least two per cases mentioned above) is in the link here, more drawings can be found here. Zip clamp patent application is here. Also, the companies can be contacted directly to provide proof from the engineers on who manufactured their latches. Also to add, TCH invented Zip Clamps to allow small case builders and at-home hobbyists to make cases easily at home. Without this invention it is extremely hard for small case builders to keep their business afloat and hobbyists to be able to build cases on their own. Champagne86 (talk)
- The patents alone won't be enough, if the case builders won't say that TCH's patented tech is used in their product. Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) says that we need "significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources". If TCH is that important to small builders and hobbyists, then there must be some sort of discussion about them in a trade or hobbyist's magazine, or similar? Ruby Murray 23:57, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

Travel Counsellors
Hi Ruby
Thanks for your help with the Travel Counsellors page. It says that Travel Counsellors claims to have 1,300 Travel Counsellors. This article backs up that we do have 1,300 [2]
Can that please be added to the Travel Counsellors page to verify?
Sorry I am new to wikipedia. Thanks

- Thanks, I've now added that reference. Ruby Murray 13:18, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi Ruby,
My account has not been confirmed so I can not add the Travel Counsellors logo to the site. Do you know how I can go about getting it added? AimeeLoughney (talk) 14:21, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
- Upload the logo using Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard, and I'll add it. Ruby Murray 14:24, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Its uploaded now, called Travel Counsellors logo. Really appreciate your help. AimeeLoughney (talk) 14:44, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: VX (Sport)
Hello Ruby Murray. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of VX (Sport), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Whilst there are some similarities between this and the previous version, there are enough differences and, critically, considerably more citations, than the deleted version. Needs to go to AfD for a discussion again. . Thank you. GedUK 12:44, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, I added some of those citations myself. :-) I'm glad it's not going to be deleted, and I won't be taking it to AFD: it's clearly notable now. Thanks, Ruby Murray 13:01, 29 January 2014 (UTC)

India Hicks
I edited the India Hicks article on wikipedia which you then changed back to the previous version. Its a biography I have from the person themselves. I also think your comment of "but you didn't provide a reliable source" was a bit vague. what part of the article did you take issue with so that I can insert relevant citations and sources.Pebbleandco (talk) 15:07, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- You deleted a lot of referenced content; none of the content you added was supported with a reference, and it all had a highly promotional tone. JS Group
The page of JG Group is full of personal attacks. land Grabbing Case was against owner, not its group. so it must not be shared at JS Group page. Allegations of Sunday leader was fake as no reports of SECP are found or lodged. Finally, Sprint Energy is not owned by JS Group, it has shares in it. Ruby, I have been engaging in the talk page fruitfully. I am not doing anything wrong. The normal edit process does not involve deleting things until one gets their way. There is no consensus right now. Thus we should all follow BRD, which does not call for deleting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mg3942 (talk • contribs) 23:53, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
- As noted already at the article's talk page, you boldly added, and your addition was reverted by more than one editor. BRD therefore means that you need to get consensus at the talk page before re-adding the contentious material. I'm also concerned that you appear to have been doing much of the edit-war reverting while logged out, until the page was semi-protected. I will assume good faith, that you didn't know that this was against policy. Ruby Murray 04:34, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi @Ruby Murray:, Thank you for your edits and comments on this matter. I'm not sure where to go from here as this editor seems determined that the various contentious edits remain. SPACKlick (talk) 11:06, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- I've reported the editor for edit warring at WP:ANEW, as he or she is clearly not interested in genuine dialogue at the moment. I hope that will cool things down at that article: the discussion at the talk page is going nowhere. Ruby Murray 11:08, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Kamasutra 3D
Dear Ms Murray,
Being the creative head of RPPL, I exactly know what details are to be added on our movie page. Hence, I request you not to create any further edits on our page and let it go the way we want it.
Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rpplsritama (talk • contribs) 08:48, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
- No, Wikipedia is not a free resource for you to promote your products, and nobody needs to ask your permission to edit an article. Please read Wikipedia:Ownership of articles, and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Ruby Murray 09:16, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
You need not take my permission but don't add wrong informations. Your are adding all wrong informations which we are not aware of as the production house. You are editing the budget of the movie which is inaccurate and other unnecessary details.
If you so like editing articles, then do create as pages pages as you want and keep editing them. But spare our movie page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rpplsritama (talk • contribs) 09:42, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
- Have you read Wikipedia:Ownership of articles yet? As I've already explained, it's not "your" page. You haven't given a reference supporting the figure for the movie budget, so I've left that in place, but if you can't find a reliable source to support that figure, it will need to be removed. Kamasutra 3D
Greetings @Ruby Murray:
I've noticed you have contributed significantly to the page Kamasutra 3D. (Good job with that!) I just wanted to give you a quick heads up. As I am sure you already know there are a ton of editors to the page with clear connections with the film. The edit history illustrates their numerous attempts towards adding back tons of content and you going through and reverting it because it is more than unnecessary. The users attempting to add back in this information only have edits to Kamasutra 3D. One of the active editors of the page, Rpplsritama, recently posted on my talk page stating the following:
- "Hello...May I know why are you so interested in editing the Kamasutra 3D page with all wrong informations? Would be good if you don't edit it further."
I replied. Then he went ahead and responded with this:
- "Dear Meatsgains,
- I am the Creative Head of RPPL and the Associate Director of Kamasutra 3D. I exactly know how and what details to be added on our page. And unlike few others, I prefer editing my page only as my interest lies in promoting our movie than edit other pages.
- So, it's a request to you to not create any further edits on our page and let it go the way we want it.
- Thank You."
Feel free to look over the conversation on my talk page. Just wanted to fill you in on what is going on with this editor. Looks like they are going to try adding more promotional tone in the future. Let me know what you think. Thanks and happy editing! Meatsgains (talk) 16:44, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
- I've had an almost identical conversation with that editor, posted to the top of my talk page. I've just moved it to date order, so it's now immediately above this one. This may require a bit of education for these new editors who have an obvious COI, but I'm glad that you're already keeping an eye on it. Ruby Murray 16:50, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
- The user's message was also posted to the top of my talk page and I had to move it to the bottom. Glad we're on the same page. I don't think they know any better. Meatsgains (talk) 18:10, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
A user called Urs.knecht seems to be attempting something of a whitewash of Reibnitz, and I noticed you had taken an interest. Urs.knecht has new sources, some of them clear and some obscure, and Reibnitz was not found to be a war criminal, but there is a lack of objectivity in the air and I would appreciate a little help with keeping the page to its sources. Please see Talk:Günther von Reibnitz. Regards, Moonraker (talk) 00:35, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Moonraker. I've had a read of the edit history, but have to admit that the historical argument has gone a bit over my head - I'm not a historian. Can I suggest that you tag it for expert attention from WP:WikiProject History and WP:WikiProject Germany? Ruby Murray 19:52, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

Talk page
Hello Ruby,
I attempted to create a Wikipedia page earlier today for a company in my neighborhood that I like. I intentionally didn't want it to sound promotional so I looked at Wikipedia listings for similar companies and attempted to mimic the information they provided for this particular company. I got the notification that you did not approve this submission because it did sound promotional. I'm wondering if you could give me some direction as to what part of it sounded promotional since I did copy another company's listing and swapped out the pertinent information. Please let me know and thank you in advance for your guidance. Jpdren99 (talk) 18:32, 17 February 2014 (UTC)Joe DrennanJpdren99 (talk) 18:32, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Hey Ruby,
I think I see why you flagged the AnestasiA Vodka article because of the use of the word "our." I made some changes so let me know if there are any other things you recommend fixing so we can remove the notification on top. I'd also really like to add an image, but because I don't have enough edits I can't upload one. Any help there would also be greatly appreciated.

Matt Wilkins
Dear Ruby,
I'm disappointed in your unilateral reaction to my article on Wilkins which I have spent some time on as a relative of one of the 366 USAAF servicemen who died fighting from Old Buckenham Airport. I put forward a well researched article using secondary sources and within guidelines to create a factual article about a property developer who saved a war memorial rather than build on it. I've put in a talk submission on this but am very upset that you alone have decided to attack my work in this way rather than offer constructive criticism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 453rdenthusiast (talk • contribs) 23:02, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- I tagged the article with with links to the pages about Wikipedia policy on notability for biography articles, and you removed the tag without further discussion. So I've nominated the article for deletion, which will allow other editors to help decide whether it should be deleted. If you think it was nominated in error, then you have a week to improve the article to a point where it won't be deleted. But I couldn't find anything online about the man that shows that he's notable according to Wikipedia guidelines. Ruby Murray 23:15, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
Dear Ruby,
Thanks for clarifying your thoughts in the article and here. Please accept my apologies, I shouldn't have got upset by your recommendations as I now see where you're coming from. If you get a chance, could you please see if the changes I make have satisfied your concerns? This is the first new article I've done and anything surrounding Old Buckenham and the 453rd is my specialist subject. If you think it would be best to leave mentions of Mr. Wilkins to the main airfield article then I'll accept your advice; to that end please tell me how I can delete the article. I only sought to recognise the contribution he has made to saving this important war memorial, against the backdrop that his profession states he would have built on it. Certainly I did not want to create an article which resulted in him being embarrassed. Thanks and apologies again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 453rdenthusiast (talk • contribs) 17:15, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. I understand that it's someone important to you, and that Wikipedia's notability policy can seem arbitrary to new editors. The article you started is indeed well written and well researched. I'd prefer to see it improved and kept, if we could find substantial coverage about him, such as an interview in a national newspaper, a substantial profile in a trade magazine, that kind of thing. But if we can't find that, then it will be deleted in a few days. We could merge some of the referenced information about his work to the airfield article in the meantime. I also don't want to see anyone embarrassed by this. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Ruby Murray 11:02, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks Ruby, At the moment I can't see anything beyond the regional paper coverage you've seen. I think, it's best to let the article go in a few days. In due course I feel sure that there will be more coverage of him that might allow it to be proposed again, but before doing so I now know better how Wikipedia works and therefore will ask your advice at the time. I'll work on improving the Old Buckenham Airport page with the information I've gathered for this article. Once again, thanks for your help. I'm not sure as to the protocol regarding our conversation above and clearing it off, so please let me know if it's appropriate to do so in due course. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 453rdenthusiast (talk • contribs) 18:18, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
RE: U Mugs (2012)
Yeah, I probably will. What I don't understand is he keeps saying "I've had enough of Wikipedia" and then comes back the next day and adds another article. Actually, I had a look at the cited LoveFilm page, and it looks like half of the reviews are from authors who write in a manner very similar to Mr Easter saying how great the films are, and the other half are disgruntled people that have rented them on the basis of those reviews... Bob talk 16:50, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
- Have a look at the comments for U Mugs on IMDB - it's all 1/10 or 10/10. No, I couldn't work out either why he keeps posting these all the while he's saying he's done with Wikipedia forevaaar. But he's made another couple of films, so those will have WP articles soon too from another sock account. Ruby Murray 18:43, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Pádraig Rynne page
Hi Ruby. Today I was writing and editing a page on the musician Pádraig Rynne when I suddenly received this "A tag has been placed on Pádraig Rynne, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteri...". I have read the guidelines again and read the article and cannot see any suggestion of promotion on it. The article is on the musician, his history as a musician, his recording history and his band history. I am more than willing to make any suggested changes you have but all info provided is from his official websites so I believe it to be truthful. I was adding references when it disappeared.
Can you please advise on above and also bring the page back live again please? Thanks in advance. Harry — Preceding unsigned comment added by HatsOff (talk • contribs) 12:00, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Harry. The deleting admin was User:JamesBWatson - you could leave a message at his talk page, asking him to undelete it to your user sandbox, where you can work on making it less promotional. Before you put too much more work in on it though, best to first read Wikipedia:Notability (music)#Criteria for musicians and ensembles, and make sure he's notable enough for an article by Wikipedia guidelines. Thanks, Ruby Murray 12:15, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
Dennis Lewin Wikipedia Page
I see that Dennis Lewin's page is up for consideration to be deleted. Although I am not the originator of his Wikipedia page I do have knowledge of his accomplishments past and present. I have made several requests for links to other articles not mentioned on his current page so it can be a more complete computation of his career.
As for your comment about changing his page from Dennis Lewin to Beau Coup: I'd like to bring to your attention that even though Dennis Lewin was one of the band members he also wrote 99% of their songs including their hits "Sweet Rachel", "Born & Raised on Rock N Roll", and "Somewhere out in the Night". Dennis is the only member of Beau Coup ythat is still writing music and contributing to the music community in Cleveland, Ohio.
His current accomplishments and notoriety stem from his radio program "The Dennis Lewin Radio Program". He has become internationally known for this program as it airs in Cleveland, New Hampshire, Indonesia, and formerly on the BBC, and in Houston, Texas.
I will be editing his page with more current information as I become familiar with the editing process on Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mmcard59 (talk • contribs) 06:15, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
- His name isn't mentioned on the Radio Arts Indonesia page, so I haven't seen any evidence of international reputation yet. Have you got any evidence of coverage from reliable sources, to show his notability? Thanks, Ruby Murray 19:52, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes ma'am I can substantiate the presents of Dennis's program in Indonesia. I will be working on his page over the weekend and will do my best to meet Wikipedia's guidelines. Thank you so much! From: Mmcard59 02/14/2014 3:23PM
- Mmcard9, please call me Ruby: I am no ma'am. :-) Can I suggest you have a read of Wikipedia:MUSICBIO, for an idea of what makes musicians notable enough for their own article? Most of what you've noted above is his notability in association with the band, rather than on his own. Thanks, Ruby Murray 18:34, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
Lol, ok, Ruby it is then...:) And please call me Marti. I have read the 'Criteria for musicians and ensembles' section that you suggested and yes Dennis Lewin does meet at least one or more of the prerequisites to qualify based on those guidelines. I will update and delete items per your request to make his presence as a notable musician more plausible. If you are willing to work with me, I'd like the opportunity to edit his Wiki page to meet your satisfaction prior to any final decision for deletion. I'm new to Wikipedia so please bare with me. Dennis Lewin's time and involvement with Beau Coup is only a small portion of his accomplished career. Even though it was one of his highlights maybe there was too much emphasis put on it in the birth of his page. Thanks for your help! - We need ro wait for more editors to give their opinions at the AFD discussion. It usually takes about a week. What do you mean about an email of authorization? What's he authorizing? Ruby Murray 06:52, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
I was told that he needed to authorize use of his photographs and for him to personally email authorization to permission-en@wikimedia.org which he has done. - Ah... I see someone has already opened one at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Paul Easter. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:55, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- No doubt the SPI will close quickly. I'm not bothering to roll back his edit warring at this point: leaving it with the little self-regarding speech intact will make it easier for the admins to G4 the inevitable re-creations, even if these titles get salted on deletion. Thanks for keeping an eye on it. Ruby Murray 07:02, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- Oh- good idea. I'll leave the page alone as well. I've reported the user for revert warring as well, but I suppose that the SPI would probably take care of that overall. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 07:22, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

I didn't want to put an {{unsigned}} on there, as it's obviously an oversight, but as it's in an edit-warring discussion it needs to have all i's dotted and t's crossed. - Actually, I mean at User_talk:Housefullofcards#Reverting. Ruby Murray 10:21, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- Ah- can't believe I missed doing that one as well! I've fixed it. I'm trying to be very good and not bother responding to his trollbait on the AfD page. (sighs) Sad thing is, I don't necessarily think he's joking when he says that Easter is hoping that asking people to be disruptive on Wikipedia will gain him coverage and attention. I've seen various authors do that on various different social media outlets and fail miserably, as nobody wanted to touch them with a 10 foot pole. Oh sure, they might get some initial attention but afterwards they pretty much have zero career. Candace Sams is a good example of this. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:34, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- I'm wondering if there isn't some mental illness going on here as well with that one editor. I kinda hope that all of this attention helps get the AfD closed early, as this is going past the "wow" level. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:38, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- Seventh day of the AFD is tomorrow. Having the articles stay up till then causes no great harm, so I'm not particularly worried about it. Ruby Murray 11:26, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Tagging of CS Networks
You tagged CS Networks for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#G4. However, this article was deleted in 2012 at an AfD for lack of sources establishing notability. Sources added to this version at least make some attempt to address this. I think that a new AfD or some discussion is needed before this is deleted. DES (talk) 21:05, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- Two company press releases, and a research paper on Arxiv that doesn't mention the company? I haven't seen the deleted original, but it must truly have been badly sourced. Ruby Murray 22:24, 2 March 2014 (UTC)

Dear Ruby, After editing my article you have written I should prove the reliability of the info presented. Should I give a reference for each fact mentioned in the article? And If the resource is not in English can it be referred to as well?
And you have marked the article as containing peacock terms. Have you meant the whole content of the article, or changing some separate words may help?
Thank you in advance!Lana ua (talk) 18:29, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Lana, sorry, have been away from thr computer for a bit but will try to work on that article today. Ruby Murray 11:23, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
- I forgot to mention: the reference doesn't need to be in English. References in Ukrainian, for example, are fine, so long as they are from reliable sources. Ruby Murray 16:15, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for the recommendations! Ruby, explain , please, why you have removed a great part of the information from the article?Lana ua (talk) 22:36, 24 February 2014 (UTC) Thank you for the answer.
- Hello Lana. There were large paragraphs of claimed achievements with no references. We can add the information back, but only if we can find reliable sources to verify it. You can find more information about how to edit biographies of living people at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Please let me know if you would like any help with the references. - Thanks, but please note that the maintenance templates should stay up until the problems are fixed. It's not written from a Wikipedia:Neutral point of view yet, and makes all sorts of unreferenced claims. Ruby Murray 13:09, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Dear Ruby, I have read your comments to the deleted materials. I am sorry if I provoked you with deleting the warnings set by the editors. I have just thought I have fixed the problem.
But what I cannot understand it's your complete deletion of the material.Even that which was before left by you as possible content.
I am not the author who writes ones and does not care what happens next. I am almost every day here (!) to make the article better and more corresponding to wiki rules.
I am ready to discuss and make better (in skype as well if you would allow). I could put plenty of resources from newpapers but I thought the goverment resources are the most reliable for the world.
You have also written created plenty of articles. You know how much work it is. Don't be brutal to someones work as well.
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lana ua (talk • contribs) 18:03, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Lana. In biographies of living persons, we have to carefully source everything. I've left in the content that is supported by references, but any sort of contentious claims, positive or negative, must be immediately removed if they're unreferenced. I left them in for a few days because you wrote that you had references, but most of the references didn't mention him, so the claims had to be removed. It still relies heavily on primary sources: you can learn more about that at Wikipedia:Primary. Thanks, Ruby Murray 18:25, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi, Ruby! Thank you very much for the link. Still I am not sure how to estimate whether my references will be considered by wiki editors as reliable. I would be thankful if you looked one more time at the changes made and commented whether I am on the right way. If not, I will be very thankful for more deatiled explanation.Lana ua (talk) 19:57, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

Paul T T Easter
Hi Ruby, I've answered two {{help me}} requests today that involved "why did this article about, or related to, Paul T T Easter get buh-leted?" Here they are: here and here. I'm definitely not making any accusations because I haven't looked into any of this, but I wondered if anyone was keeping track of these protests. Though innocuous, my instinct after the second one was that I had just opened a "sock drawer". Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:56, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
- You're right to assume good faith, but have a glance at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/SEFPRODUCTIONS/Archive. Note that one of the blocked socks (HFOC I think) made a few edits about endangered parrots, ostensibly to look less like a WP:SPA. Bat21777 has done likewise with a bat article. Smells like socks to me. Ruby Murray 23:35, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Rather than get involved in an edit war over this issue, I'd recommend waiting for the SPI to close. Then, when all of the editors are blocked, the db-g5 tag can be placed and will stick. Until then, just let it lie. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:06, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- It's not edit warring to replace speedy deletion tags on obvious vandalism, but I'm willing to wait for the SPI. Both users can be blocked for vandalism anyway, with no more effort than it takes to roll back the tags. Ruby Murray 15:08, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Have a care
I understand your frustration with Rance 05 (talk · contribs), especially when he decided to clone your user page. But blanking another user's user page, even if it does offend you as a clone of your own, is beyond what is normally considered acceptable for non-admin users. You should just wait for the SPI to complete, and then allow the admin to tag or blank the page as appropriate. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:23, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I'd call one that a bit of a grey area, as far as WP guidelines go. I doubt any jury would convict me, circumstances being what they were. He's been blocked indefinitely now for vandalism, along with an IP sockpuppet of the same blocked editor. Ruby Murray 15:26, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi- I created Women in the World and put a redirect on Women in the World Foundation because Women in the World goes by that name and is more than a Foundation- operating a media site and hosting other events which it titles itself 'Women in the World.' Hello Ruby I have a speedy deletion contested deletion claim. My last one was deleted entirely and the review process is likely to take several weeks. I wrote the following on Talk:B Howard: This page should not be speedily deleted because... It now contains 50 sources, over 30 of which are reliable sources, ranging from hard copy materials such as Liner Notes to Billboard 100 articles. --Elizawriter (talk) 15:31, 11 March 2014 (UTC) (Elizawriter (talk) 15:34, 11 March 2014 (UTC))
- Hi. Unfortunately if the article is close to the original, then it has to be deleted. I know it must be frustrating for you, but the rules prevent abuses by people who want to try to circumvent consensus decisions. If the article is already substantially different to the original, then an admin will be able to see that, and will decline the speedy nomination. Want me to move it back to your user sandbox for now? Ruby Murray 15:37, 11 March 2014 (UTC)

Thailand volleyball articles
User talk:Sora2537 have been recreating articles that were previously deleted. Can we block him for a couple of days? Osplace 03:51, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
- I've looked at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive831#String of Volleyball Thailand League pages, and the consensus there seems to be to salt the articles rather than to block the editor. I think the editor in question simply doesn't understand what the problem is with the articles: this is possibly a language issue. One idea might be to ask at Thai Wikipedia for someone fluent in English and Thai to try posting in Thai at the editor's talk page and explain the situation. Another possible solution is a bundled AFD: since they're all in what claims to be a national league, it's possible that the clubs are notable, and Sora2537 just isn't able to reference the articles properly here. A second account has also started editing the articles, User:Yoonasora. This might be sockpuppetry, but there are other possibilities too, so let's try to assume good faith until proven wrong. Thanks, Ruby Murray 11:12, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Jamie Masada help
Hey there, I so appreciate your peacock and advert tags on the Jamie Masada page, I rewrote and edited and cut down because you were dead on! I pulled from some rather lofty bios and definitely needed to edit them down to the real, important facts. I do think he's a person of note though, so I would love for your input on how to keep the page from being taken down. I plan to continue editing to add more factual information as I'm able to come across it, but was hoping you could take another look to tell me if the page, as it is now, is an acceptable Wikipedia entry? I didn't have much to compare it to, I tried looking at producers and comedians to get an idea of how to structure it. Thanks again! Emhig (talk) 19:20, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Tyler Ramsey Deleted Article
Hi,
I see you deleted an article I posted about the artist, Tyler Ramsey: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyler_Ramsey_(artist). An article on him was recently (yesterday?) deleted on the grounds of Ramsey's not being notable. I had previously contacted Salvio giuliano, the administrator who had deleted the original article on Tyler Ramsey, citing and linking to facts about Ramsey that make him notable. Salvio giuliano's page says, "Salvio giuliano is currently experiencing health issues that may affect his ability to work on Wikipedia." Despite this, when I typed my (entirely new) article on Ramsey, I believed that Salvio giuliano reversed his decision to delete the original, based on my message to Salvio giuliano. I thought the existence of space for me to type the article indicated that the decision to delete had been reversed (I am new to Wikipedia, as you can tell). I hope you will review the new article on Ramsey, and that you will be persuaded that my new article (if not the old one deleted by Salvio giuliano) meets the notability requirement for Wikipedia.
Thanks!
Sincerely, Starchart Starchart (talk) 22:20, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

I'm also requesting a redirect for "Brett Champion" to the Steve Comisar article. This way, when site users enter the book or Brett, they are taken directly to the Comisar article, which covers both, instead of receiving the message of: "the page does not exist" and finding nothing. Dear Ruby, Thank you for adding the accountingtoday.com reference [11] to the Comisar article. However, you forgot to make the addition to the sentence that is sourced by the new citation. The sentence should read: " The book is considered a "piece of fraud history" by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and is on display in their museum. [10][11] " Me providing this new reference was for the sole purpose of amending the last sentence of "Career in crime." The reference [11] fully supports this addendum. Title Change
Hi Ruby....if you are not the originator of a page is there a way to change the title? I'm about done with the Beau Coup page, just waiting on OTRS on the pictures now. I had a lot of fun doing it with the research and all. And actually my conflict with the other editor taught me a lot. I want to change "Beau Coup" to "Beau Coup Band". Is that possible? Mmcard59 (talk) 19:50, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- In all the references given they're just called Beau Coup. Why do you want to change it? Ruby Murray 23:35, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- Well an editor sent me a notice that I needed to differentiate John Gorman because there where a few others in Wikipedia. So now his name is referenced as John Gorman (radio) in the Beau Coup article. I'm sure there are other Beau Coup (something)s out there that one day will possibly have a page. Since Beau Coup is a Band I thought it seemed logical to name it Beau Coup Band to address the duplication issue now. Mmcard59 (talk) 23:51, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- Aha I see. Well since there's only one article "Beau Coup" with a space and a capital C, then we don't need to disambiguate the titles. Even so, it would be a good idea to put a "see also" hatnote at the top of Beau Coup. I'll do that now. Ruby Murray 10:47, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

- Hi. Which three pictures? Ruby Murray 14:24, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- It was 1: blue one with 4 band members (Dennis Lewin, Bill March, Tommy Amato, Frank Amato), 2: blue one with Beau Coup, Born & Raised on Rock & Roll, and 3:a white one that has Beau Coup in red letters with a vertical keyboard on the left of it. - Good morning! I'm not sure what to do to find out why the 3 pictures that I put on the Beau Coup page haven't been restored. Dennis Lewin sent the email authorizing use but they are still not there. Is there something more I need to do? Mmcard59 (talk) 14:10, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Ruby, I need to complain about Editor, Levdr1lostpassword, He is arrogant and rude. He is the one that originally nominated Dennis Lewin's page for deletion. When Dennis' page wasn't going to happen I started working on Beau Coup's page to make it better and more informed. I listed all the band members names and was listing the songs list and he deleted ALL of it right in my face. If you go to his talk page you can see what he said to me. I just don't understand. This guy is obviously from Cleveland judging from his activity being all Cleveland pages. Maybe he doesn't like Dennis or the Band, heck I don't know. I am just blown away that he can just delete all my work just because he 'can'. Sorry for the rant but I was trying to list informative data on the page and he just discarded it. Please let me know if there is any recourse here. I just think it is unfair what he did. And very unfriendly. This is suppose to be fun, not aggravating. Mmcard59 (talk) 07:10, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- @Mmcard59: Yes, I'm from Northeast Ohio, and yes, I'm a member of WikiProject Cleveland. It's unfair (not to mention inaccurate) to say that I've deleted "all" of your work at Beau Coup as the majority of the article remains intact. I also have no connection to the subject whatsoever -- I'd never heard of Lewin or Beau Coup before
you created the articlethe article was created (clearly you have, and I'm beginning to suspect there may be some kind of conflict of interest going on here). I also think you're mistaking "arrogance" and "rudeness" for directness. Consensus determined that Lewin was not notable enough for his own article. Wikipedia can be frustrating at times, but that's just the way it goes. Levdr1lp / talk 07:32, 27 March 2014 (UTC)- Refer to your own talk page for my response to your accusations please. And no sir, I have not mistaken arrogance and rudeness for directness. There is something very arrogant and rude about what you did to me tonight and then top it off with an accusation that I am in some way involved with these people when I live 2,000 miles away. You need to read Ruby's talk page and learn how to respect and be courteous when dealing with people that are new to Wikipedia. I'm sorry Ruby for bringing this to your page, I was just steamed when he deleted everything I had done WHILE I WAS DOING IT for 2 hours without even a comment or question. And for your info sir, it was not I that created either the Lewin or the Beau Coup pages. Mmcard59 (talk) 08:17, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- I would have tagged the unreferenced material with "citation needed" for a day or two before deleting, but other editors are within policy when deleting unreferenced claims, especially about living people. I'm also surprised to read that you have no connection with the former band, when you referenced the article with a new page on Lewin's website that's titled "Wikipedia fact check", and you wrote above that "Dennis Lewin has sent the email authorizing their use." The article still needs some edits for a more encyclopaedic tone: it reads a bit like a fan page. Ruby Murray 08:39, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
- Good morning Ruby! Please let me explain....I first learned about Dennis Lewin and his program a few years ago when he aired his radio program on a local Houston station which I enjoyed. I am from the Cleveland area but moved to Texas in 1980 before Beau Coup even existed. I first came to Wiki because my son, who was raised in Texas, and coincidently plays NFL football for the Cleveland Browns Tank Carder has a page and I wanted to see it. I even uploaded some pics on his page that were deleted for copyright issues. I then searched for different people to see if they were there, Dennis Lewin being one of them. I saw all the deletion notices and thought it would be fun to help save the page. I didn't know Dennis, I only felt a connection from listening to a radio program done by someone that was from Cleveland. Back when I was originally working on Dennis Lewin's page I first learned that I violated copyright laws by uploading pictures that I found on the internet to his page. I thought that anything on the web was basically public use. Being new to Wiki I didn't understand the stringent guidelines when editing so when the issue came up I claimed rights to them as if I had gotten them directly from Lewin. My mistake. Then in an effort to save the pictures I contacted Mr. Lewin via his website and asked him if he could send an email which contained the pictures so that they wouldn't be deleted, which he did. We did discuss how everything that went on his page needed to be backed up. The link you are referring to from his website is something he did in an effort to help me show notability since it was he that wrote the music. I'm unclear how I could be connected to that because I have no access to his site to create anything like that. My efforts to prove his notability per Wikipedia guidelines failed and it was reverted to the Beau Coup page which both pages were created by someone other than me. From what Dennis and his friend Tommy Amato sent me plus what I found on the internet I started trying to make the page really informational and interesting. Anyway, the last 12 hours have been very enlightening for me and I will send Levdr1lostpassword a message today and do my best to adhere to the guidelines and work together to make a good page. I became angry with him because I had put so much work into that and it was late. I just felt he should have messaged me to guide me instead of just deleting most everything that was there even before I came into it when Wiki deemed it a good page. Thanks for your understanding and help as always. I enjoy editing and I don't want to struggle with fellow editors. I think it is much more productive to work together and I want to learn from seasoned editors such as yourselves. Have a great day! Mmcard59 (talk) 17:47, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi Ruby, I'm having a hard time figuring out whether the Beau Coup images have been approved for use. Amherst Records sent an email giving permission to use the album cover pictures in the Beau Coup Wikipedia page. Not sure if I should try to reload them or if there is somewhere I can look to get the answer. Any help is appreciated. Mmcard59 (talk) 01:08, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- No idea, sorry. Ruby Murray 01:28, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- ok, thank. Mmcard59 (talk) 02:45, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
Breeze and Greenbyte speedy deletion
Hi Ruby. Are you too an expert in wind power data management and wind resource assessment software? Could you please clarify to me why you wish to delete my additions to wikipedia before consulting me first? If I don't understand what to change it will be difficult for me to contribute with anything at all to this site as you probably understand...

- I'm the fourth editor who has reasonably tagged the articles for deletion on the grounds that they do not explain how your company is notable. Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and WP:CORP. Ruby Murray 09:19, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
If, as you have stated, you believe that the Litarodi article should not be speedily deleted, but would be better at AFD, then you should remove the speedy deletion tag from the article. As an independent editor, that is within your rights. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:54, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hey there. Thanks for that - I did remove the speedy tag once, and was going to post an explanation at your talk page (but got called away from the PC, sorry). Then a second editor came along and speedied it again, so I wasn't quite sure if I needed to use a hangon tag instead. Since nothing's happened for three hours, I assume that some admins somewhere are doing a wait-and-see, but if there's no rule against removing the speedy a second time, then I'll remove the tag again, thanks. He doesn't seem notable as a musician, but seems to have had significant coverage from WP:RS as a Christian evangelist, and I think the article could survive and AFD on WP:BIO. Grant Dalgliesh Deleted Article
The article "Grant Dalgliesh" was speedily deleted. This is not reasonable. I am a noted game designer with many design credits. My games have been played and loved by gamers all around the world. I am quite well known in that regard. I was in the process of adding for references when the article was deleted. Most of my peers as game designers are listed in the wikipedia - if you'd just give me a little time to input all the data, you'd probably agree... - Please read Wikipedia:Autobiography. Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself or your company. Thanks, Ruby Murray 23:47, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
Nancy Creek Fishing
Mr. Murray, could you please give me some tips on how to improve the article. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Klassikboy (talk • contribs) 00:05, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hello. As I wrote at Talk:Fishing Nancy Creek, it's a how-to article, and an encyclopedia isn't the right place for that, so improvement isn't really the issue. It might be a great how-to with great fishing tips, but there are other websites for posting that. Thanks, Ruby Murray 00:20, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
RE: Howard "Mad Max" Mullen
Thanks for reverting. I was originally going to revert because it removed the speedy deletion template. I guess opening up the page and tagging it with CSD G7 using Twinkle was a much better option. K6ka (talk | contribs) 15:39, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

DJ JY
Hi Ruby
Thanks for taking a look at my page here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DJ_JY can you give me any tips or make some changes to it if necessary? thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yesson20 (talk • contribs) 13:02, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi JY. Have a look at WP:MUSICBIO and WP:Reliable sources: what's needed is independent, reliable sources to show that you're notable as a musician. I haven't found any yet, but you might know of some. Be extra careful when writing about yourself though: writing an WP:Autobiography is generally frowned on in Wikipedia, and if the article goes to a deletion discussion, any kind of self-promotion will count against the article. Camp Kigali
Haha, thanks for editing Camp Kigali! I made that so someone would notice it, hopefully someone who was a better editor! — Preceding unsigned comment added by SpiralingSky (talk • contribs) 15:52, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
- Anytime. It needs proper references though - these shouldn't be hard to find. Ruby Murray 16:05, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
