Don't quit... youngistan

[edit]

Hi, I've removed the speedy deletion tag you placed on Don't quit... youngistan. {{db-nocontent}} is for pages that literally have no content. You can find more information on CSD criteria at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks, Ruby Murray 15:05, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A belated welcome!

[edit]
Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, JonaQwer. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Ruby Murray 15:06, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand your decline of my article

[edit]

It says that my article has been declined, and to see the article for comments, however I don't see any. Jawillia (talk) 18:59, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A few tips

[edit]

First, someone accidentally placed your RFA application as "live" - I have undone that, as it's very obvious by your number of contributions, and by the poor quality of many of those contributions, that you're years and thousands of edits away from being ready to run for admin. With that in mind, you're also far too unaware of Wikipedia policies and processes to be performing reviews of WP:AFC articles, so I recommend you pull back from doing that as well. Wikipedia takes years to get the hang of - you've got lots of time, just don't bite off more than you're qualified to chew DP 21:33, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

When someone gives you friendly, polite advice - and stops you from making a bit of a fool of yourself - you should be sincere in your thanks. Please don't dream of tossing whales on people's pages who actually HELP you ever again DP 17:49, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reviewing Articles for Creation

[edit]

I think you should stop reviewing articles for creation until you have some more experience with Wikipedia, 100 edits is not nearly enough time to understand the policies and guidelines that articles must conform to, in particular regards to verifiability and notability. For example you recently accepted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Fabrício Peçanha, which was largely sourced to the Portuguese Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not an acceptable source to reference, and Biographies of Living Persons are very important to pay attention to when it comes to referencing. I have reverted your approval of that article (I did not revert the one about the Mumbai traffic app). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. --kelapstick(bainuu) 22:11, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Don't quit... youngistan. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Favonian (talk) 17:52, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you are continuing to perform AfC duties after being asked to cease. This is a final notice that your next AfC action will result in me requesting that you be blocked or banned to prevent you from working in AfC until you have more experience. VQuakr (talk) 17:10, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see you created Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/JonaQwer and have advertised it on editor's talk pages, but you have not transcluded it to WP:RFA as the directions say to do. My suggestion would be to not transclude it as with only 82 edits and a few days of experience on this account you will not make the cut. You might want to read Wikipedia:Not now and Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship. GB fan 18:02, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see someone has given you advice about this above also. GB fan 18:04, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
...and he didn't read the discussion here yet either, I believe GB DP 20:45, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Closed per WP:NOTNOW and this edit. -- Trevj (talk · contribs) 14:44, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And my attempt at tidying has since been reverted because you never transcluded the request yourself. If/when you want to make this live, you may wish to consider formally closing this one yourself and starting a new one... but that's left up to you, and you may simply decide to stick with this one. -- Trevj (talk · contribs) 00:00, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AFC reviewing

[edit]

Hi there, Unfortunately, I have removed you from the reviewers list over at WikiProject Articles for Creation. We have a requirement for 500 edits to articles, but you currently have less than 500.

Thank you for your efforts with Wikipedia. --Mdann52talk to me! 15:15, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

[edit]
Today's motto...

T'is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).

Hello JonaQwer. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "I Was There (book)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:JonaQwer/I Was There (book)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 09:42, 30 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
