Sam Peffer

Dear Philafrenzy Could you help please. My most recent book was published in November. It is referenced no 23 on my Wiki entry, and mentioned in the last paragraph. It contains a chapter on Sam Peffer and several illustrations of his work. He is quoted and mentioned throughout the book, and he was a significant artist. I cannot add a reference to my book as the Wiki Police will cite self promotion or COI. I wonder if you could take the time to add this reference to your original article? My reference is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Larkin - thank youColin Larkin (talk) 13:52, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Digital Unlimited Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi...Can you check the talk page of this journalist....looks mixed up? Whispyhistory (talk) 18:50, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

She was redirected as non-notable in 2011, but it's fine to recreate if you think things have changed ten years later. Philafrenzy (talk) 21:42, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, it was re-created by someone else and I saw an empty article. There is another one (translation from Spanish)..your suggestions ?? What to do with umlauts? Roentgen or Röntgen? Whispyhistory (talk) 05:41, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
The Mexican one needs a clearer expression of precisely why she is notable. What special thing has she done? Judging from the disambiguation page for Roentgen, umlauts may depend on whether it is a word that has passed into English in which case, don't use them, or if it is a name in which case do. What to do with a word that is not a name, is a matter of debate. I think they are difficult to type and not well understood. Philafrenzy (talk) 08:01, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

FYI

An article you started Marc David Baer is accused of being "A poorly written article with only one source. Notability is dubious. It seems as if it was written for self-promotion." Just FYI that you're being (wrongly imo) accused of promotional editing. (t · c) buidhe 22:17, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

It doesn't now, six years later, look much like my version. Philafrenzy (talk) 22:20, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
@Buidhe: Most of the unsourced stuff was added in the last few weeks by Semsiefendi (talk · contribs). --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:58, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
I wouldn't really call it unsourced since details like "Baer published X book in Y year" are verifiable to the book itself. (t · c) buidhe 23:01, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
The article has clearly gone right off the rails and needs rolling back, possibly as far back as my last version. Philafrenzy (talk) 23:20, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
That terribly written revision looks OK to you of course. Keep pushing your agenda. It suits you to make up an accusation in order to cause unnecessary argument. ภץאคгöร 09:22, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Herbert

Hope you are ok. Can you read Herbert Herbert and tell me if his early life makes sense? Whispyhistory (talk) 11:06, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
I will try but it's too late for him to change it now. Philafrenzy (talk) 13:37, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
Can you dyk this please...I have no idea what to write. Deadline is tonight. Regarding Herbert Herbert...I always thought he was Henry Herbert until recent. Whispyhistory (talk) 17:41, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Was his middle name Herbert too? Philafrenzy (talk) 19:15, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Are you doing the BAPIO virtual rounds? Philafrenzy (talk) 22:04, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
No but interesting and tidied some references there...thanks for bringing to my attention. I will look Herbert up in the medical directory when libraries re-open. Whispyhistory (talk) 05:57, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
@Whispyhistory: No mention of a middle name here which also says he died in Worthing (West Sussex) and gives the name of his widow. Philafrenzy (talk) 12:12, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
Interesting...thank you. I checked ancestry.com and there are several with same name. Whispyhistory (talk) 09:23, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
That one has the right date of death. Philafrenzy (talk) 09:28, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Brilliant Idea Barnstar
Thankyou for Sacred Heart Catholic Church (Mathura). Whispyhistory (talk) 09:26, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for spotting him. I wondered if he was forced to work in India because he was a Catholic and that was one of the reasons that his superiors didn't like him - apart from him probably being cleverer than them. Philafrenzy (talk) 09:35, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
