I have only compared as far as Sweney is concerned where the book extends the story a little with new material. The book can be purchased for a few pounds on Amazon (£3.54 plus postage). It is full of good article subjects although I particularly like Sweney because she looks so innocent in the photo and has a great haircut. None of the others are as photogenic. He actually could have gone further on her as since the dissertation her secret file has been released. It is about 130 pages of documents - £3.50 from the National Archives. Thank you Philafrenzy for that very interesting article, and the George W. Christians one too. I actually read quite a bit about the 1930s far-right in the US after that and created a short article for the National Gentile League. It is interesting that these organizations, at that time, had wide national notoriety but they have been forgotten in the Internet. It is nice to see someone scraping some neglected topic areas. One thing that I noticed in most sources was an anti-fascist organization called the Friends of Democracy headed by Leon Milton Birkhead (a stub exists). That was a very high-profile organization that also campaigned against Charles Lindbergh. Sadly, that is redlinked and a modern PAC by Every Voice also uses the FoD name. --Pudeo (talk) 22:07, 6 March 2020 (UTC)

I went through everyone mentioned and he was the only one missing. Both were the same in starting with little more than a name and seeing what you can do with it. I made it look as good as possible. It is official [4], [5]. It is to do with whether the official transmission is airborne or by droplet, that is....by simply breathing or by coughing. Another problem is that if it is declared as airborne, everyone will go and buy all the respirator masks and healthcare workers might not get them. It's complex. Hey, I noticed you removed the "174 years" bit from the article about Suzette Davenport. Would you consider restoring it? I know it's true that for most of those 174 years it couldn't have happened, but it is still true, and a common fact cited when women are appointed to long-standing roles for the first time. I wouldn't normally ask—it's not that important, after all—except that line is part of my nomination for the page to appear at WP:DYK, and it can't appear there if it's not in the article... It's a bit out of my area but you need something more to demonstrate that he matters - awards - a very highly cited paper - invented a new technique etc. And that needs to be demonstrated in independent reliable sources. Yes 2016 changed to 2021. But aren't they the sort of thing that doesn't degrade very fast? The Americans released millions of out of date ones from their stockpile that had been tested and found to be fine. We can do several things about the DYK list... you won't like them all.

1. Make the list collapsed
2. Move the list from the right-hand side to a section of its own, perhaps between the "DYK reviews" and "Awards" sections. Here, they may be displayed as multiple columns, or side by side (wrapping at the edge of the window)
3. Move the list to a separate page, called something like User:Whispyhistory/DYKs. Here, they may be displayed as a single column, as multiple columns, or side by side
4. Reduce the list to the more significant ones - for example, just those with a high pageview count; or just those where you created the page (eliminating those where you expanded somebody else's page)
5. You stop making DYKs so that the list doesn't grow any more.
